Kauai
Great way to spent the day! Perfect for couples, everyone uses a double kayak. The included lunch was nice at the waterfall. Easy hike after the kayak route to the waterfall, any type of shoes or no shoes are doable. Our tour guide Izzy was super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you !!
Aloha Kristen, Thanks for the 5 stars and for taking the time to share. I agree with all that you said, including that Izzy is great, but some sort of footwear is advisable. We have one seasoned guide that negotiates the rocky often slippery trail shoe less, but again we recommend some sort of aqua shoes or beater tennis shoes. Keep chasing waterfalls. Happy Holidays. This was a great tour. The guide was knowledgeable as well as humorous. I also enjoyed the music and dance. Great tour for the price!!!
My wife and I had a blast. The scenery was beautiful the tubing was excellent and the tour guides looked like they were having as much fun as we were. I can't recommend this enough. Do yourself a favor and do this tour.
An unreal experience. You get to be in the Hawaii fresh air and nature while enjoying an experience so similar to a waterpark.
The train ride was so fun, definitely add this on as you get more of the experience of the plantation!

This is the boat you want to be on to explore the ins and outs of the Na Pali coast. I was amazed by the sea caves
This boat ride was amazing. The entertainment was very good with Hawaiian hula dancing and singing. When we got to the grotto it was a short easy walk and once again we were entertained at the grotto where Elvis sang in the movie Blue Hawaii. On the trip back down river one of our guides gave us lots of history of the area including places where movies had been filmed.
It was a very pleasant morning and would recommend Smith’s Fern Grotto tours to everyone.
Very Nice, Relaxing Cruise for anyone too take. Everyone should do it one time, while Visiting Kauai.
Very pleasant evening cruise on the river and bay. Swells were too big to get out on the ocean.
Captain and 1st mate very friendly and the boat is very nice.
The tour guides were awesome! Made the whole experience 10X better. The float wasn’t difficult but adventurous. Kids (teenagers) smiled the whole time. Beautiful scenery! A little pricey but 100% glad we did the float!
This was such a fun adventure. The tour guide and staff were so amazing and fun! Definitely recommend going.
It was our first time in such a tiny plane. The flight was full of incredible views over almost whole Kauai with interesting information from the pilot including the music from movies filmed on this island. He used more different angles during the flight over the main spots - for example Napali Coast so we could really enjoy the splendor of nature. Can highly recommend this company for a flight.
We had a great time, fun crew! We would do it again. The only thing I would recommend is maybe appetizers, snacks.
I booked for 3 people in my family. I was so concerned about the weather being good because the forecast didn’t look great. The day of our flight came and it was looking sunny however I was feeling under the weather. Our flight was scheduled for 11:30. The company called us to reschedule because they were having technical issues. I thought that would be good and hopefully I’d be feeling better the next day. Unfortunately I was feeling worse and the weather was super cloudy. I called them to let them know I was sick but my husband and daughter could still make it. They said I couldn’t get a refund unless I went to the ER and had a Dr write a note. Really? The Emergency Room? It would’ve cost more than the flight. I took a Covid test and it was positive so I chose not to risk infecting others and gave them plenty of notice. The weather never cleared but they flew anyway. my husband and daughter said it was beautiful but rainy and cloudy. They loved seeing views that you couldn’t see otherwise especially the waterfalls. Air Kauai was able to fill my seat so while they actually made money I was out the money AND the experience. I wouldn’t recommend them.
This tour was so fun and unique! You float through such beautiful scenery and into dark tunnels with headlamps. In between most tunnels you are back outside floating under beautiful trees. The guides are amazing and literally get out of their tubes and stand in the water to make sure everyone gets through each area safe. The water is not deep and you’ll feel safe. If you’re considering doing this tour, just DO IT! You won’t regret it.
See Kauai from the air! Absolutely breathtaking! Our pilot was wonderful and knowledgeable of the island. Definitely a must to see Kauai from the air.
Pleasant boat ride with interesting history and fun staff. Fern Grotto beautiful and unique. I would recommend to my friends.
The experience was really great from start to finish. We had an opportunity to see parts of Kauai we would never otherwise see and learn about the history of the area and the modern effort to conserve.
Our guides were amazing, the tube ride was mostly gentle and relaxing (except for the one stretch of 36 inch vertical drop!). The water is fresh and invigorating, really pleasant on a warm fall day.
Do yourself a favor and take this don't miss adventure.
A relaxing time to check out the river and the grotto. The live entertainment in the boat was too and the history telling.
It was a beautiful tour, so much fun and I learned a lot.
We had an fun time one the short river cruise. Learned some history, saw beautiful views, heard wonderful live Hawaiian music and watch hula dancing. Very fun.
If you love to kayak like myself and my wife, this will be a perfect day on vacation! Beautiful blue water, and you get to jump in and snorkel.

This is the best day we had on Kauai! So fun to be on a natural river tubing in paradise!
Seems like the only big luau on Kauai, and it is beautiful! Make sure to add the train ride!

This cruise was so much fun. It started off with the tour guide walking us through so interesting facts. The staff was really funny. They made you feel comfortable. The hula dancer was really good. When the boat landed at the trail, it was really easy. It’s a good tour for elderly or those that are physically challenged. I say this because the hike is more like a short walk on a maintained path. It was great and very inexpensive.
We were a party of 7 ranging from 5 to 70. What an amazing experience. Great history knowledge. Great and friendly people. So much fun. Be prepared to make new friends and enjoy the Ohana of this wonderful group of people. Maka, Lucky, Hans, & so many others made this day a core memory for our family! The scenery is amazing. The tubing exceptional! Would do it again in a heart beat!
The crew is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! You also get to see so many beautiful views of the Na Pali during the tour, which is really only accessible when on a boat tour!! However, I wouldn’t recommend if you get easily seasick, as the boat gets quite rocky.
Beautiful experience. Boat clean, crew very friendly and helpful. Information about spots on the coast fun. Have done this trip before and liked this the best.
