What a blast!!

My husband and I both agree this has been our favorite activity while in Hawaii (we’ve done several activities on 3 different islands). There are no words to describe the beauty of the coast!! Cameron & Tony were knowledgeable and very fun!! We saw several whales & spinner dolphins, which took our trip to the next level for us! Snorkeling was cancelled because of rough water, but we didn’t even notice because we were having so much fun!! Thanks Cameron & Tony for an awesome adventure!

Kauai Na Pali Coast Snorkeling Tour & Sea Cave Adventure by Makana Charters
Wonderful trip!

Went on the afternoon trip with my best friend, we went as a birthday outing for him. The trip was SPECTACULAR, the cliffs and the water were gorgeous, we saw a a whale, the captain regaled us with facts of the coastline, and saw one of the sea caves. It was a little rough and we did not go in but it was still just as amazing all the same. We did not do any snorkeling (as it would be a little late in the day to do so) but we were permitted to jump out of the boat to swim around. It was fun, had a nice little meal. I will definitely go with this tour again if given the chance. A+.

Exhilarating doors off helicopter ride, views were amazing, especially since you are able to see everything, you are at one with nature!! Niki our pilot was excellent, very informative throughout the tour, we had a fabulous trip, highly recommend this tour and Air Kauai doors off!

amazing experience

It was our first time in such a tiny plane. The flight was full of incredible views over almost whole Kauai with interesting information from the pilot including the music from movies filmed on this island. He used more different angles during the flight over the main spots - for example Napali Coast so we could really enjoy the splendor of nature. Can highly recommend this company for a flight.

I booked for 3 people in my family. I was so concerned about the weather being good because the forecast didn’t look great. The day of our flight came and it was looking sunny however I was feeling under the weather. Our flight was scheduled for 11:30. The company called us to reschedule because they were having technical issues. I thought that would be good and hopefully I’d be feeling better the next day. Unfortunately I was feeling worse and the weather was super cloudy. I called them to let them know I was sick but my husband and daughter could still make it. They said I couldn’t get a refund unless I went to the ER and had a Dr write a note. Really? The Emergency Room? It would’ve cost more than the flight. I took a Covid test and it was positive so I chose not to risk infecting others and gave them plenty of notice. The weather never cleared but they flew anyway. my husband and daughter said it was beautiful but rainy and cloudy. They loved seeing views that you couldn’t see otherwise especially the waterfalls. Air Kauai was able to fill my seat so while they actually made money I was out the money AND the experience. I wouldn’t recommend them.

If you love to kayak like myself and my wife, this will be a perfect day on vacation! Beautiful blue water, and you get to jump in and snorkel.

The crew is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! You also get to see so many beautiful views of the Na Pali during the tour, which is really only accessible when on a boat tour!! However, I wouldn’t recommend if you get easily seasick, as the boat gets quite rocky.

This cruise was perfect for our 6 and 10 yr old kids. We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the snorkeling!
Id also like to add if you get even a teeny bit seasick i highly recommend taking some motion sickness medication. It was choppy and boy did I feel it the last hour or so!
Despite that, I'd do this cruise over again in a heartbeat.

Kauai Na Pali Coast Snorkeling Tour & Sea Cave Adventure by Makana Charters
I WOULD BOOK WITH MAKANA AGAIN

I do not know where to start. On September 20th we boarded the boat with Captain A’a and his daughter Ri (Ree). They were professional, knowledgeable, fun, and worth every penny. Whether you are serious about snorkeling (like me) or just looking to see the sites (my husband) you will enjoy this excursion.
On land they will divide you up into groups and then Captain A’a will explain the do’s and don’ts while on his boat (by the way do not bring bananas or granola bars as snacks – he will explain). He is serious about the don’ts. The Captain and his daughter are very knowledgeable of the area (ask them anything) and they are so much fun.
I would definitely recommend the Makana Charters and I highly recommend Captain A’a and his daughter. Thank you both for a fabulous time and making us feel like your friend – not just a customer.

Great experience throughout. Everyone acted professionally, equipment was ready, instructions were clear and yet everyone was cordial, even funny. Adam, the pilot, was engaged during the entire flight and the flight was very smooth. And I can't imagine doing this in a helicopter with doors on. Money very well spent; THE highlight of our 10-day, 2-island Hawai'i vacation.

This was a truly epic experience we got to not only see the Na Pali coastline but we got to learn so many interesting facts from the very knowledgable crew. the views were magnificent, and the snorkeling was great we got to see some sea turtles and we got to see a very impressive pod of spinner dolphins as we started the boat ride. I highly recommend this if you are spending some time in Kauai

Our pilot was fantastic--besides being a great pilot, he was full of information, kind to the children of the family that was also on board with us, and gave us many suggestions of possibilities of where to go or what activities to do. The best crew ever! The cruise started with a great breakfast while we made our way up the coast plenty of food and drinks were available. The Na Pali coast was beautiful as expected! The captain drove us up to the caves so that was a cool unexpected addition. We made our way to the snorkel spot which was very secluded which was nice to be away from the crowds. We saw lot of fish, a monk seal and a turtle. After the snorkel we had a nice lunch then headed back to the harbor. The ride back was super fun with a singalong
