We had Captain Mike, Leroy and Tony on our adventure. They were nice, professional and very informative. Will do again for sure!

It was amazing with the bonus of whales, dolphins, and a rainbow. The crew's considerate service was very pleasant. There was a child who was feeling seasick, which was a bit sad, but when I told them there was a rainbow, they looked happy watching it. We were the only Japanese people, but it was okay even though we didn't understand English.

Absolutely loved this experience and the helpers on board made it even better! I really enjoyed how we would go along and the captain would talk about a certain place or landmark. It was so fun stopping and relaxing for lunch and going for a swim. I do recommend to bring something if you get cold easily during the cruise. The captains on board were very friendly and constantly checking up on people!They were also very open to answer any questions people had.

Too windy to cruise up the Na Pali coast the day we went and that was the only negative of an otherwise wonderful experience. I appreciated the safety 1st approach and professional attitude and experience brought by captain and crew. We cruised down the west and south side and had a great time, seeing beautiful shoreline, spinner dolphins and humpback whales. The crew was excellent, and everyone had a blast. Nice job!

My friend and I loved this excursion. It was the highlight of our trip. The Napali Coast was amazing. So beautiful and rugged. Snorkeling was great and whale watching was phenomenal. Would highly recommend this trip and this company to anyone visiting Kauai.

The crew is very friendly and gets to know you as you make your way out to the coast line. Then they provide you with a spectacular tour of the coast while sharing knowledge about the history of the coast line, Hawaiian culture and general ocean sea life. They stopped to show us spinner dolphins as a pod crossed our paths and pointed out other sea life native to Hawaii. Awesome Tour All Around!

My family, including four kids, had a wonderful time on the Na Pali coast boat tour. The crew went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. We saw bottlenose and spinner dolphins and tons of whales up close. The views of the coast were mesmerizing. Although the weather did not cooperate for snorkeling, the crew made up for it by letting us jump off the boat and swim. It was a day to remember and a highlight for the kids!

Sailing along the Na Pali coast with the towering mountains going down to the ocean was breathtaking. A can't miss tour.

My husband and I both agree this has been our favorite activity while in Hawaii (we’ve done several activities on 3 different islands). There are no words to describe the beauty of the coast!! Cameron & Tony were knowledgeable and very fun!! We saw several whales & spinner dolphins, which took our trip to the next level for us! Snorkeling was cancelled because of rough water, but we didn’t even notice because we were having so much fun!! Thanks Cameron & Tony for an awesome adventure!

Thesea caves definitely made the whole event even cooler! One of a kind experience.

Went on the afternoon trip with my best friend, we went as a birthday outing for him. The trip was SPECTACULAR, the cliffs and the water were gorgeous, we saw a a whale, the captain regaled us with facts of the coastline, and saw one of the sea caves. It was a little rough and we did not go in but it was still just as amazing all the same. We did not do any snorkeling (as it would be a little late in the day to do so) but we were permitted to jump out of the boat to swim around. It was fun, had a nice little meal. I will definitely go with this tour again if given the chance. A+.

Like has such an amazing crew! I got a little sea sick and they were wonderful to help me with get through it!

This is the boat you want to be on to explore the ins and outs of the Na Pali coast. I was amazed by the sea caves

The crew is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! You also get to see so many beautiful views of the Na Pali during the tour, which is really only accessible when on a boat tour!! However, I wouldn’t recommend if you get easily seasick, as the boat gets quite rocky.

This cruise was perfect for our 6 and 10 yr old kids. We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the snorkeling!
Id also like to add if you get even a teeny bit seasick i highly recommend taking some motion sickness medication. It was choppy and boy did I feel it the last hour or so!
Despite that, I'd do this cruise over again in a heartbeat.

I do not know where to start. On September 20th we boarded the boat with Captain A’a and his daughter Ri (Ree). They were professional, knowledgeable, fun, and worth every penny. Whether you are serious about snorkeling (like me) or just looking to see the sites (my husband) you will enjoy this excursion.
On land they will divide you up into groups and then Captain A’a will explain the do’s and don’ts while on his boat (by the way do not bring bananas or granola bars as snacks – he will explain). He is serious about the don’ts. The Captain and his daughter are very knowledgeable of the area (ask them anything) and they are so much fun.
I would definitely recommend the Makana Charters and I highly recommend Captain A’a and his daughter. Thank you both for a fabulous time and making us feel like your friend – not just a customer.

This was a truly epic experience we got to not only see the Na Pali coastline but we got to learn so many interesting facts from the very knowledgable crew. the views were magnificent, and the snorkeling was great we got to see some sea turtles and we got to see a very impressive pod of spinner dolphins as we started the boat ride. I highly recommend this if you are spending some time in Kauai

The best crew ever! The cruise started with a great breakfast while we made our way up the coast plenty of food and drinks were available. The Na Pali coast was beautiful as expected! The captain drove us up to the caves so that was a cool unexpected addition. We made our way to the snorkel spot which was very secluded which was nice to be away from the crowds. We saw lot of fish, a monk seal and a turtle. After the snorkel we had a nice lunch then headed back to the harbor. The ride back was super fun with a singalong

Excellent crew that was extremely helpful and fun! The boat is beautiful and the food delicious and plentiful. Was expecting more of the Napali Coast its very serene but not awe inspiring. Pro an exciting thrilling boat ride Con very rough seas even on a mild day. You will get very wet up front and many got seasick!

My 10 yo and I tend to get motion sickness so we followed their advice and took our meds (Bonnie/dramamine) the night before and the morning of. We had no issues! I think it helped that we were (randomly selected) for the largest of the 3 boats. It was a loooong boat ride. We went about 2.5 hours before we stopped to snorkel and have lunch. There isn't a lot of room but you can bring a beach bag with essentials (I wish I would've brought snacks). The ride was long but also GORGEOUS and fun for kids to look at. We saw a school (?) Of dolphins swimming along with us, monk seals on the beach, and of course the Na Pali coast. Snorkeling was fun and laid back. My 6 yo was able to just use her own goggles (regular pool goggle) and their floaty (similar to a pool noodle). She had a BLAST. My 12 yo and I even jumped off the front of the boat several times. We saw lots of fish and 2 sea turtles. I definitely recommend this tour! If you book - choose the morning ride!!

Captain Kam and Asia were wonderful to our small group. We loved being in the smaller 12 person boat. Kam is a very skilled captain and they both always kept our safety a priority. It was fun, incredibly gorgeous view of the Napali coast. We saw dolphins, turtles, went under a waterfall. The best part was we got lucky with the weather and got to experience a unique cave tour as well.
Food was great too, everything was perfect!

Captain Rob and his crew led a wonderful tour. The views were outstanding, his boat maneuvering skills were very impressive and we all just LOVED everything about this experience! Would highly recommend!

The tour was a fantastic experience - stunning views and amazing sights. We especially loved the snorkelling at Niihau Island and seeing the rare marine life. From the great views of the canyon to the deep seas along the island, this tour was one of our highlights of the holiday. Crew members were extremely accommodating and helpful and made the experience top class.

We will definitely return and do the tour again when we get the chance.

One of the best things to do here in Kauai. It was awesome. We would do it again. We saw turtles, dolphins, caves, waterfalls and lotsa fishes!!!
Crew was the best and very friendly and knowledgeable.
