My wife and I made reservations online through VELTRA. I knew nothing more than the reviews posted on here (VELTRA/hawaiian activities) and a travel guide book. We enjoyed our morning paddle hike and tour so much! A great adventure that would not have been accomplished so smoothly on our own. It was our first time down the trail. It rains in Kauai, a lot, so the trail was mostly muddy. The guide for the trip kept us safe and informed about how to get there best. He also lead us on hawaiian time for the return trip. Allowing us all more time at the falls since our group was composed entirely of families. I appreciated that very much and a thank you to anyone from the company who reads this. Do not expect that though on your trip, we were lucky that no tour group was scheduled in the afternoon. Our stay on the island began the last week of April, until the first week of May.

You don't have to help the guide, but its friendly to do so. I bet you'll get a better trip out of it.

The dinner at Gaylord's was wonderful. Later we were greeted by our torch carriers, who were friendly and informative. Pulu (Sean) was especially attentive and made us feel welcome. The very best part of the evening was the show and the story they told. It gave us a true feeling of 'being there' as the Polynesean's made their journey to Hawai'i. This was truly a gift from the actors & dancers in the show.

I participated with my 11-year-old son. The path to the tubing area was bumpy, which I was worried about, but it seemed to be fun for him as well. The water was a bit cold. (The men were wearing either T-shirts or swimsuits. If it's a T-shirt, polyester is better than cotton.) There were five tunnels (if I remember correctly), and we used lights to go through them, but we were instructed to turn off the light in one of them, which was thrilling. There were also parts with fast currents, which were enjoyable. It felt a little short, though. The lunch was delicious.

The mistake was with the hotel. Our hotel was in the Poipu area, and there was no shuttle service to the location, so we had to take a taxi. It took about 30 minutes and cost $50. That might have made the activity time feel even shorter.

This was my first time visiting Kauai, and I participated because I wanted to see the magnificent nature. I boarded a boat before sunrise, had breakfast while watching the sunrise, and then enjoyed dynamic and breathtaking views beyond my expectations. I was also thrilled to see turtles up close while snorkeling.

I participated with my 11-year-old son. Our guide, Brandon, was friendly even to Japanese people and spoke in polite English. There were 13 people in our group, and first, we went to the bamboo jungle. The path was a bit long, but even for someone like me who usually doesn't exercise, it was manageable. It's better to avoid shoes with very shiny soles. Even if it's sunny on the day, the ground is often wet. They provide bug spray, but if you're wearing shorts, mosquitoes can get in from your pants, so I think long pants are better.

After that, we got into a car, drove up the mountain, switched to bicycles, and descended while stopping when cars came. The speed was just right, and since the weather was perfect that day, it was very comfortable. The bicycles were regular ones, not mountain bikes. The ones for smaller kids had a shape similar to mountain bikes. We had lunch at a spot where we could see Diamond Head and the beach, which was also delicious. Hiking while listening to the chirping of birds and the sound of the stream felt energizing.

One thing to note is that the bike ride is mostly downhill. There are some sharp turns, so children who have just started riding might find it scary. One child in our tour tried but seemed unable to continue and ended up in the support vehicle. Another vehicle supports the tour, so those who don't participate in biking can ride in the car.

そのあと、車にのって、山をのぼり、自転車に乗り換え、車がきたら停止しながらくだっていきます。スピードもちょうどよく、その日は最高の天気だったこともあり、とても快適でした。　自転車はマウンテンバイクでなく、ふつうの自転車です。小さい子用のは、マウンテンバイクっぽい形です。　途中ダイヤモンドヘッドやビーチの見えるところでランチ。これもおいしい。鳥のさえずりや小川の音を聞きながらのハイク。パワーをもらえた感じがしました。
注意点は、自転車はほぼ下りです。曲がりがきついところもあるので、自転車にのれるようになって間もない子は怖いかもしれません。（同じツアーの子で、やってみたけど、無理だったようで、車にのっていました。もう一台の車がサポートするので、バイクに参加しない子は車にのってくだります。）

My husband and I chose to zipline here as it was recommended by my parents who have been here and other places on Kauai. They said this was the best and I believe it! My husband is afraid of heights and wasn't sure how he would do... but he LOVED IT!! Don't let that scare you. The crew is awesome and we want to go everytime we visit now. We also do the tubing they have, too. :)

we had 6 adults and an 11/mo old. Prompt shuttle pick up and drop off from our hotel. the Luau was great...friendly service, all you can eat food and drink (beer, mixed drinks) beautiful grounds and an entertaining post dinner show. I would def recomend this to anyone wanting to experience an Hawaiian luau

Kipu Ranch is beautiful, I recommend that all people see the land and hear all the history behind it. My husband and I will most definitely do this activity when we go back, but take individual quads this time,

We went to this tour while on our honeymoon and we loved it! So cool to see all of the hand dug tunnels and the guides were awesome! very outgoing and made the whole trip a lot more fun, had a great way of getting the whole group talking and having fun. Despite being told to gather at Port Allen at 6 AM, when I arrived at 5:45 AM, the shop lights were off and there were no staff present. The parking situation was also unhelpful. Perhaps due to a low-pressure system passing through the night before, the boat was rocking heavily, and the rainy weather prevented us from enjoying the stunning views of the Na Pali Coast. The snorkeling was challenging because the water was cold and the waves were high, so I quickly got back on the boat. The lunch was average, but the return trip was extremely bumpy, leading to many people getting seasick, including myself. In hindsight, I think it would have been better to enjoy the coastal scenery slowly on a catamaran yacht instead of a speedboat. Overall, it was a difficult activity to participate in.

早朝６時にポート・アレンに集合とあるのに５時４５分に行ったらお店の電気も点いてないし係員もいませんでした。駐車場も案内も不親切です。前夜に低気圧が通過したせいか船の揺れが激しく雨模様の天候もあってナ・パリ・コーストの絶景も楽しめませんでした。スノーケルは水が冷たく波が高かったのですぐに船に上がりました。ランチは普通でしたが帰路の揺れが半端じゃなくて船酔い続出で僕も戻しました。結果的にはスピードボートじゃなくてカタマラン・ヨットでゆっくりとコーストの景色だけを楽しんだほうが良かったとおもいます。参加してつらかったアクティビティでした。

Arriving on the island of kauai with so many things planned was so exciting but the garden tour before the luau and touring the grounds was fantastic. Everthing about the whole show was very exciting from the necklace greeting all the way to the spectacular fire dance at the end of the show. My family and I found this adventure to be one of our favrorites while on our stay on Kauai.
The staff along with all the people in the show were just great it was plain to see that the ALOHA spirit was alive and well.
The food was unbeatable the colorfull costumes and the show priceless !! Smith's tropical paradise luau is best discribed as the Big Kahuna. If your planning a trip to Kauai put this at the top of your list of things to do

My new husband and I went on this River cruise as recommended by our travel agent as the most romantic thing we could do for our honeymoon.

The only romantic thing about it was the Hawaiian wedding song while we stood on a deck with 100 other people. This would not be my idea of romantic. Maybe it used to be a romantic place to go when you could go inside the cave but now it just looks like a rock wall with some ferns in it.

We didn't get the best start to our boat ride but we were both disappointed when we arrived to our location. The entertainment was fun and were really the only reason the trip was worth it. I wouldn't recomend it to anyone as a place to see on their honeymoon. The only thing that redeemed it was that it was probably the cheapest thing we did while we were there.

Since this site won't let me pick wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I chose families.

This was a fantastic first timer luau experience. You get so much for your money with this luau! You get to spend time roaming the grounds which are a lovely tropical garden paradise. We got some lovely pictures and were able to have some alone time while attending the luau.

The one disappointment for us being that it was our honeymoon, was that it was a very large crowd and didn't have a very intimate feel. We would have liked to experience a luau where we were a small group and get to have more of an interactive experience with the hosts than you can have with that large a crowd.

The food wasn't my favorite but it was good. The service was wonderful and the host (commentator) was wonderful at describing what was going to happen and entertaining for our meal. The show was fantastic and very worth the wait.

I had a great time doing the tubing activity! It was definitely relaxing and fun and I'd highly recommend it..The only issue I would have is that it's not a very long tour (mainly cause I could have kept floating for hours on end or at least done it twice). The guides were excellent and fun. They were genuinely nice and kept us entertained with stories, history, jokes..they made an effort to get to know the guests on the tour and were good at remembering names. I had Ian and Mike(?) I think thats his name, as they really were very genuinely friendly. You'll get wet on this activity but its not strenuous by any means and its something different to do. It was my first visit to Kauai and I had been hearing about this tour from other friends for quite some time so I am so glad I did it! I only wish I had also signed up for the ziplining too! Its a bit steep price wise as the tour really doesn't last that long but that being said I would do this again in a heartbeat because it was so relax

The meeting point office is located in a somewhat hidden area, so I recommend arriving early to allow for some extra time. Don't forget to bring a towel; I forgot mine and had to buy one at a nearby supermarket. It's not a thrilling attraction; rather, it's a leisurely float down a waterway. There are a few tunnels along the way, which adds a bit of excitement. It's definitely worth a visit!

We had a wonderful time with this really neat tubing trip. Our guides were alot of fun and made the trip interesting, even the van ride. Seeing the interior of the island was different and seeing the inside of the hand-dug caves was so cool.

This excursion was fun, but staff at office was very rude. Acted like we were a burden to even help. Very short and snobby. Especially blonde lady. No one even smiled at us. I have never been on an excursion so unorganized and unfriendly. Our guide was nice enough, but no instructions for snorkeling. My sister had never snorkeled and he just gave us our masks and left us to snorkel on our own while he went spear fishing. As we were kayaking he got way ahead and never stopped and checked on the group. I was very disappointed. I have been on several excursions and the staff has always been wonderful, but not this one. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!!!!!

From start to finish, this was one of the best experiences we had on the island. The trip out to the start was comfortable, informative and entertaining. Having a sound system that allowed the guide to talk normally and permit even those in the back of the van to hear was absolutely perfect. Our guides (unfortunately we don't remember them all) were just a fun bunch of guys! They enjoyed their jobs and it showed!

We were never bored because we never had a chance to get bored. The guys told us what to expect and allayed any fears anyone in the group had. Riding the tubes through the canals and caves was easy and very enjoyable. This is not an "adrenaline rush" activity but don't let that deter you. It was a relaxing but fun event for all in our group from the ten year old out to grandpop! A wonderful activity for all ages and physical levels.

Outfitters Kauai Zipline Trek Adventures at Kipu Ranch

First timers on zip lines

Our two guides did a good job for safety and general preparedness however we could not hear some of the comments and information from the non-driving guide. The van was noisy and hard to hear his comments especially when he talked toward the windshield rather than back to the passengers.

The air-conditioning in the van was poor in the back rows and little air flowed which made the ride to and from the zip lines uncomfortable.

Several in our family group had never zip lined and were very, very apprehensive (my wife, daughter in law and her 10 yr old daughter). The tall long haired guy put them at ease as best he could and mentally supported them. They all managed to make the first run and then loved it. The runs were short and tame enough to allow them to "conquer" their fears and really enjoy the experience and want to do more.

The overall zip line experience was actually very good and beautiful but the whole experience could have been outstanding with attention to the ite
