Waikiki Submarine Tour - Descend to 100ft, See Shipwrecks & Sunken Airplanes

Good one time experience

Great experience viewing aquatic life from submarine. Totally worth to visit once in a lifetime. On downside, finding the checking point was too cumbersome. Do plan to reach well advance in time. Did see lots of fishes, turtles. A bit on the expensive side, but again where else you would see marine life so closely without getting wet.

Loved experiencing this right in Waikiki! The location at the Royal Hawaiian hotel was really convenient (no long bus rides) and the food was 10 out of 10. It started to rain a bit during the show and within minutes, the servers brought out towels to everyone so we could stay dry and catch the last bit of the show. Service was fantastic. Would recommend the extra to get the Premium seating closer to the stage.

Love, love, LOVE this boat! It's a beach catamaran so no transportation is needed. Plus, they provide you with FINS that are super comfy and adjustable. After snorkeling, you get some snacks and can purchase drinks on board. We got the souvenir Holokai shaker to keep. We did the 9am cruise which was perfect for visibility and to catch a little bit of sun before it got too hot in the afternoon. Would recommend!

With this cruise, we were provided with snorkels and snorkel vests. However, no fins are included. I'd recommend finding some fin rentals as it can be pretty exhausting to snorkel without them. Saw lots of turtles and fish! This catamaran is also a beach catamaran so the boat comes right up on the sand. It's right across from Duke's Statue (not to be confused with Duke's Waikiki restaurant). If you'd like a short activity in Waikiki to get out on the water, this is perfect! We did the AM cruise and visibility was perfect.

BEST Happy Hour in Waikiki!

Hands down one of the best happy hours in Waikiki!! Their main drink is the mai tai but they also have wine, beer, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drinks. The 3pm cruise was perfect for us! We went on the 3-4:30pm cruise then headed over to Duke's Waikiki for an early dinner. I'd recommend the afternoon option if you're looking for a nice short activity in the sun. The crew was great and we had a blast!

To be fair, the weather played a part in my review but even if it had been perfect, I wouldn't have been impressed. It was raining prior to our departure and when I asked the people operating the boat if they were still going to sail, they said yes as long as it didn't rain harder. I asked if we'd even see a sunset since it was cloudy and they weren't sure. We boarded the boat which was wet from the rain and dirty from people tracking sand into it. The boat was pretty small and very crowded, they indicated they had a full cruise that night and that was an understatement. We could barely find a place to sit, and again, everything was wet so that wasn't great. It started raining again before we departed so our family made the decision to get off the boat and not go on the sail. The people operating the boat simply said "hopefully you come back again" when we informed them we were leaving. I called to inquire about a refund and left a VM but never received a call back. I sent an email and inquired but was told that the cruise did go out that night so a refund was not possible even though it was cloudy and there was no sunset. I understand the refund policy and agreed to it when I booked so they certainly had the right to keep our money but all in all, I just think it was pretty poor customer service and as stated above, even if the weather had been perfect, the cruise itself left a lot to be desired.

Not really a snorkel adventure

Overall this snorkel adventure isn’t that great there is only one small reef with maybe 3 turtles and that’s it. Also you are swimming around 3-4 other boats that have about 20 people each so it gets really packed really fast in the small little area. It’s a good beginner snorkel trip but if you are wanting to get a quality experience with a big reef to swim around I would look elsewhere

I think overall I had great time with parasailing, the view from top was awesome. We had two issues, first issue, we were the last family to do parasailing and they cut short our time in the air <6 minutes, (yes I timed ours, compared to first family) so they did not manage time well even though they advertised 8 mins from start to finish. second issue, photos we bought from them did not open on my computer and when I tried on another computer there were no photos at all, just wasted my money :-(. Next time, I would choose different parasailing vendor for sure.

They have been doing this longer and better than the competition out there, and the experience is truly for those who want a no nonsense visit to turtle canyon. My family and I had a good time. The two guys were attentive, and knowledgeable. The only thing is the pictures- we were a part of 6 and the pictures that I got were the same over and over again. The pictures are not worth it. Also I would advise to give dramamine to anyone in your party with the most minimal motion sickness.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was a really fun experience. We got to see turtles and spinner dolphins! It was a great way for us to end our trip in Hawaii. It is recommended though to know swimming well if you want to snorkel as the life jackets are not buoyant enough to keep you afloat.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids 9yr old and 6yr old). Instructor was very patient enough to guide us how to snorkel. He provided us some tricks to make snorkeling easier for beginners. He was always there to help us out and made us feel comfortable. Except for my spouse everyone else in the group are non-swimmers, the instructor helped us navigate through the water, and to top it he took amazing videos of us while snorkeling :)

The was the BEST parasailing we’ve ever done - and we’ve done several on both coasts of the mainland and different islands. Although the seas were a bit rough, the parasailing was outstanding. The captain and crew of Freedom were gems. My son said he would give them a 6 out of 5 stars - lol.
Definitely go for the 1000 feet! The windy day really had us flying well above any of the competition.
Will do this one again on our next visit.

However, there are blocks in the water near the beach that are hard to see from above, so while I could stand, I bumped my legs on the way back and scraped both knees, which was painful. I took my daughters and one of their friends out for diving experience. Even though the instructors tried and tried to help them they couldn’t seal their mask and became sea sick. This was no fault of the dive instructors or dive company. My daughters still had a good time snorkeling.
My daughter’s friend and I dived and enjoyed the experience. Make sure you tip the instructors and captain well, it is a lot of work to make this adventure happen and they deserve it.!
