Get a tour guide. A fantastic day. Would consider doing it again.

My husband wanted to go skydiving. At first, I was filled with anxiety, but after doing it, I’m really glad I did! Even though I usually keep my eyes closed on roller coasters, I didn’t feel scared at all because of the height! During the free fall, I was just focused on surviving! Once the parachute opened, I was able to enjoy a leisurely journey through the sky!!

However, according to the explanation from Veltra beforehand, there was supposed to be a Japanese-language briefing, but there was none at all. It seems there were no staff who could speak Japanese. But the gestures were clear enough that even my husband, who has zero English skills, could understand, so it was okay.

Also, Veltra mentioned that we could choose between photos or videos, but on the day, the explanation was given in rapid English, and when asked, “Photo?! Video?!”, I instinctively replied, “Photo.” However, it seems we could also choose a GoPro. Later, I managed to switch from photos to GoPro with my limited English. Even that cost $88! The price is high!! But it became a wonderful keepsake.

主人の希望でスカイダイビングをすることに。初めは不安だらけでしたが、やってみて、本当に良かったです！
ジェットコースターでは終始目を閉じている私でも、高すぎて怖いという感覚が全く無かったです！フリーフォール中はとにかく必死！パラシュートが開いてからはユックリ空の旅を楽しめました！！
ただ、事前のベルトランさんの説明では、日本語の講習ありとのことでしたが、全く無かったです。日本語を話せるスタッフ自体いないようです。でも、英語力ゼロの主人でさえも分かる位のジェスチャーでしたので大丈夫です。
あと、ベルトラさんの説明では、写真orビデオを選べるとの事でしたが、当日、
その説明もペラペラの英語で説明され、「シャシン？！ビデオ？！」と聞かれ思わず「シャシン。」と答えましたが、しかしどうやらGoproも選べる様子。後に、拙い英語で写真からGoproに変更しました。それさえも88ドル！値段は高いです！！しかしとてもいい記念になりました。

I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about this adventure as the fateful morning arrived. We were in Oahu visiting our Son and his wife, she was particularly interested in the shark tour. My wife, on the other hand, would have none of it, fortunately, they have an 'Observer' option available. We boarded the Kai Ou after removing our shoes and headed out. The Captain explained that the sharks had become accustomed to the sound of the engines since there had been crabbing done in the past and they would not need to chum the water...we were going to be the bait. The water was absolutely beautiful, a bit on the choppy side, however, which made entering the cage a little more adventurous. It was really amazing being in the water with the sharks all around, there were between 8 and twelve, plus a few other fish, including some very large Trumpet Fish. I think my wife got the worst end of the deal as she was sea sick when we got back in the boat. The crew members were awesome, I would definitely recommend this adventure!!!

It was a good experience, but the waves were intense and I got seasick. It might be a bit tough for those who are sensitive to seasickness. Also, it's better to pay the crew to take photos for you! I saw some beautiful photos taken by others. It's quite difficult to take them yourself.

いい経験できましたけど、波がすごくて船酔いしました。船酔いに弱いかたにはちょっと…。
また、写真はお金を払ってクルーにとってもらったほうがいいですよ！他のかたが撮ってもらった写真を見ましたがとても素敵でした！

Seriously guys, this is a must. There was a whole bunch of sharks circling around us, and we saw a school of fishes too! I mean come on, you could finally say you swam with the Sharks! Tip: take motion sickness pills. The boat ride there could make you feel a little sick

The waters were choppy but that didn't stop us! The crew was very polite and professional. You can watch the sharks from the boat while the other groups go too so you aren't bored. I do a lot of snorkeling and diving around the island, but this was a very unique experience. I will be bringing any other people who visit me to your company, thank you for an unforgettable time!

I think it's an experience everyone should have at least once in their life.

Skydiving at an altitude of 4,267 meters was a lot of fun, but the driver was very annoying, constantly asking for tips.

人生に一度経験した方がいいと思います。

高度4267メートルのスカイダイビングはとても楽しかったですが送迎のじじはチップ、チップでとてもうるさかった。

I live here on the island and do a good amount of hiking. I thought this hike was pretty cool! Our guide, Nui, was extremely knowledgeable about the Hawaiian culture and plants in the area. The trail has TONS of strawberry guava and mountain apple trees along it. He pointed out plants that were native. He also pointed out the invasive plants, the problems they cause, and how or why they were brought here. It was very interesting! What made this hike special for me was is that we were hiing deep into the mountains where there aren't any houses or sign of urban development in view. This is quite rare for me. Most of the hikes I've done, known or less known, have some area that shows a city or buildings or concrete structures. Nui also stopped at a campsite to let us get some beautiful scenic pictures. This was my favorite part of the trip. The view of rows of ridges and the valley that we were hiking in was breathtaking.

Last year, I went horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch, but the course and scenery were monotonous, and it felt more like just "riding a horse." However, this valley horseback riding plan was full of ups and downs and varied landscapes, making it exciting and thrilling throughout. At Happy Trails, all the support comes from local natives, and they provide explanations and instructions in advance, as well as communicate in simple English, so I think anyone can enjoy it with peace of mind. Just keep in mind that time passes according to Hawaiian time, so that's something to be aware of. The Moanalua Gardens and Dole Plantation included in the tour are just for a brief visit. In particular, Moanalua Gardens requires a $3 entrance fee, so we didn't go in. We couldn't see any turtles due to the weather, but that's just how it goes.

During our lunch break while exploring Haleiwa, we had burgers at Kua Aina near the meeting point and the classic shave ice at Matsumoto Grocery Store, which left us with little time. I wanted to explore for about another hour, so I deducted one star for that. If you're a repeat visitor to Oahu, renting a car might be better, but for those of us with less experience, participating in this tour with the guide's explanations was very worthwhile.

　昨年はクアロアランチで乗馬をしましたが、コースも景色も単調でただ”馬に乗った”と言う感じが強かったのですが、この渓谷乗馬プランは起伏や景観が変化に富み、飽きるどころかわくわく、どきどきの連続でした。　ハッピートレイルズでは全て現地のNativeの方がサポートされますが、事前に注意事項などを説明書きで教えていただけるし、簡単な英語で対応してくれますので、どなたでも安心して楽しめると思います。　ただ、過ぎゆく時間はハワイ時間なので、その辺はご愛敬。　ツアーに含まれるモアルアナガーデンやドールプランテーションはお付き合い程度。特にモアルアナガーデンは$3必要なので、私たちは入りませんでした。　天候の関係で亀には会えませんでしたが、こればかりは仕方有りませんね。
　昼食も兼ねたハレイワ散策では、解散場所近くのクア・アイナでハンバーガーを、マツモトグロサリーストアで定番のシェイブアイスを食べて時間が無くなりました。　後1Hぐらい散策したかったので、★一つ減点です。　オアフリピーターの方ならレンタカーの方が良いかもしれませんが、経験の浅い我々はガイドさんの説明含めたこのツアーに参加してとても良かったと思います。

I was able to see a turtle slowly returning to the sea at just the right moment, and the shrimp in Haleiwa was delicious. I enjoyed a relaxing and gentle time while riding along the coast, taking in the scenery. I was very satisfied.

タイミング良く、亀がゆっくり海に帰入って行く姿を見ることが出来たり、ハレイワの街でのエビが美味しかったです。馬は海沿いの景色を見ながら、のんびりとした優しい時間を過ごすことができました。満足でした。

It was more fun than I expected. At first, I was nervous, but once I took off, it was exhilarating. The instructors were cheerful, but they were also very thorough about safety, which made me feel secure. There are a total of seven lines. At first, I was tense for no reason, but by the last two lines, I was able to start backward and even do a peace sign upside down. While gliding (or more accurately, while flying), it felt amazing, and combined with the vast scenery of Keana Farm, it was an emotional first-time experience. You don't need any special physical strength or skills. I highly recommend experiencing the fun of flying in the sky. If I have the chance, I would definitely do it again.

予想以上に楽しかったです。
最初は、ドキドキ、一度、飛んでしまえば、ワクワクです。
インストラクターの方々は、陽気ですが、安全は、徹底していて、安心できます。
ラインは、全部で、7本。
最初は、必要以上に力んでしまいますが、最後の2本位になると、後ろ向きで、スタート出来たり、逆様で、ピースサインとかも、出来るようになります。
滑空(正確には、滑走)中は、とても気持ち良く、ケアナファームの広大な景色と相まって人生初体験の感動です。
別段、体力や、技術は入りません。
楽しく、空を飛ぶ感覚を是非、経験して見てください。
機会があれば、私もりぴーとです。

I'm glad I was able to fly right after arriving! It was much higher than I expected and incredibly fun! There weren't many Japanese people, but you can manage even if you don't speak much English.

It was a 2-hour course.
It was really wonderful and pleasant to enjoy the mountains, sea, and great nature, and I had a lot of fun.
The instructor was also amazing, very friendly and kind, and I definitely want to recommend it.

2時間のコースでした。
山や海、大自然を見ながらすごく素敵で気持ちよくて、楽しかったです。
インストラクターもすごく、フレンドリーで優しくて、ぜひオススメしたいです。

I was mocked as "Little Jump" (laughs), but the fear of the airplane door opening and jumping out was something I never want to remember (;_;). However, after jumping, I surprisingly found myself calm, enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. At 52 years old, I felt encouraged by the "spirit to challenge new realms" in life. With determination, I can carve out new territories. I'm also grateful to the instructor for helping me relax in various ways. I'll take some time to think about the challenge of 14,000 feet (^_^;).

リトルジャンプと馬鹿にされましたが(笑)、飛行機のドアが開き飛び降りる恐怖ったら(;_;)、もう思い出したくありません。が、飛んだあと意外に冷静な自分がいて、天候もよくすばらしい風景、体験。５２歳ですが、人生の上で「新たな領域に挑戦できる気持ち」に勇気をいただきました。覚悟があるから、新たな領域を切り開ける。インストラクターにも感謝です。いろいろリラックスさせてもらいました。14000ftへのチャレンジは、少し時間をかけて考えます(^_^;)

We participated as a family of three.
My husband had his first horseback riding experience, and my 8-year-old son rode alone for the first time.
Honestly, I thought my husband would have a nonchalant reaction like, "Well, it's for the kid's experience..."
We were even discussing going to the zoo the day before, but there were plenty of animals here (＾ｕ＾).
None of the staff spoke Japanese.
They gave simple explanations and chatted, and just when we were getting ready, a wild horse appeared!!!
It was nerve-wracking to think, "Who will ride it?!" but of course, the staff member rode it (phew!).
Everyone took turns mounting the horse for photos! We got some really wonderful and cool pictures!
For a while after we set off, the photographer walked ahead to take pictures for us.
We climbed the red dirt mountains unique to Hawaii, enjoying the flowers, trees, and birds, and arrived at an amazing scenic spot!!!
In the refreshing breeze, we saw vast grasslands and the ocean.
It was the best!
On the way down, we pointed out the areas with good views, indicating quite a bit higher up the mountain.

I was worried about my 8-year-old, but since the horse was well-trained, there were no issues.
At one point, the horse seemed like it was going to run, and I panicked and stopped it, but my son actually wanted it to run...
My husband, who I was also worried about, said, "I underestimated horseback riding! It was amazing! I want to do it again!" sounding like a kid.

On the way back, we could stop by North and stroll around,
and we will definitely go to Gunstock Ranch again!
I absolutely recommend it!

家族３人で参加しました。
旦那＝初乗馬、息子８歳＝初一人乗り。
正直、旦那の「まあまあ、子供の経験の為にね・・・」的などうでもよかったみたいな感想が来るかと思ってました。
前日の動物園でも行こうか？なんて話してたんですが、
ここで十分な位いろんな動物がいました（＾ｕ＾）
スタッフは全員日本語話せません。
簡単に説明やら雑談やらして、そろそろって時に荒馬登場！！！
「誰が乗るか？！」とドキドキでしたが、勿論スタッフさんが乗りました（ホッ！）
皆、順番で馬にまたがり写真撮影！　　すご～く素敵でかっこいい写真がとれました！
出発して暫くはカメラマンも徒歩で先回りして取ってくれました。
ハワイ特有の赤土の山を、花や木や鳥を見ながら登って行き、すごい風景の場所に到着！！！
気持ちいい風の中、広がる草原、海。
最高でした！
下る途中に、景色の良かった場所はあそこら辺だって、結構山の上の方を指してました。

心配していた８歳も、しつけられた馬だったので問題なし。
途中馬が走りそうになりビビって止めたんですが、本人は走って欲しかったって・・・
こちらも心配していた旦那ですが、「乗馬舐めてた！最高だった！またやりたい！」
と子供の様な事をおっしゃってました。

帰りにノースに寄ってブラブラと出来るし、
次もガンストックランチ行きます!　
絶対おすすめ！

I am very satisfied. The response was quick; although I received a notification that there was an issue, the follow-up was good. I was a bit flustered for a moment, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, sharing information about the town's scenery, the timing of the flowers, and their names, which I found impressive. There was plenty of time, and the price was reasonable, so I highly recommend it. I participated in another tour as well, but due to a mix-up, I accidentally booked the same option twice. When I contacted them via email after the tour, they promptly processed a refund, which was touching. I would like to request this tour company again next year and beyond.

一瞬あせりましたが、非常に楽しいツアーになりました。
ツアーガイドの方も、町並みや、花の時期や名前まで教えていただき
懇切丁寧で関心しました。
時間もたっぷりあり、料金も安くておすすめです。
別のツアーにも参加しましたが、手違いでオプションをダブってしまい。
ツアー終了後にメールで連絡したらすぐに返金までしていただき

I got hooked on horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch and was looking for other places to ride when I found Gunstock Ranch. I took The Bus, but there was no name at the bus stop. It was a bit of a gamble. No Japanese is spoken at the ranch. However, everyone was very friendly and responded with smiles, which was really nice!! I had a wonderful time riding through areas that made me think, "Are we really going here?!" It was a forest-like setting, and I enjoyed leisurely riding while watching cows and other horses.

クアロア牧場で乗馬にハマりほかに乗馬できるところは無いかと探していたところこちらのガンストック牧場を見つけました。
The Busで行ったのですがバス停に名前はありません。
一か八かです。
牧場では日本語は一切通じません。
通じませんが、みなさん笑顔で対応してくださり、とても親切でした！！
乗馬ではこんなところも行くの？！っと思うような森？だったり、のんびり牛や他の馬などを眺めながらゆったり乗馬したりでとてもいい時間を過ごすことができました。

Got to experience the cultures of all the islands and had a wonderfull tour

The guide's talk was amazing! I've lived in Hawaii for a long time, so my Japanese is a bit shaky and there were many parts I didn't fully understand, but despite that, the talk was super fast-paced and packed with content! He kept using phrases like "～うんぬん," which I rarely hear anymore! I really enjoyed it (laughs). I learned about things and history that I would have completely overlooked if I had gone on my own, and it was truly fun. I want to participate again when I go back to Hawaii.

ガイドのおじさんのトークが最高でした！　　　ハワイ在住が長いので日本語が怪しくよく分からないところも多かったのですが、その割には超高速トークで内容が濃い！　「～うんぬん」なんて滅多に聞かなくなった言葉を連発！楽しませてもらいました(笑)
個人で行ったら全く素通りしてしまう事や歴史なんかも教えてもらって、本当に楽しかったです。またハワイに行ったら参加したいです。

I’m not good with heights, so I participated thinking it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But... it was so much fun! The instructor was a handsome nice guy named Christian, but since he couldn't speak Japanese, I thought it would have been even more enjoyable if we could communicate. The moment I jumped out of the Cessna was terrifying, but during the free fall, spinning, and the corkscrew flight after the parachute opened, it was nothing but "fun!" until landing. The moment it was over, I wanted to do it again‼︎

There were some disappointing moments with the grandfather who drove us and his request for tips, but other than that, it was fantastic. This is definitely an activity I want to include in my plans when I come back to Hawaii!

高い所が苦手なので、一生に一度だけってノリで参加しました。が、、、めっちゃ楽しかったです！インストラクターはChristianと言うイケメンnice guyでしたが日本語が話せなかったので、コミニケーションが取れたらもっと楽しかったんだろうなぁと思いました。セスナから飛び出す瞬間は恐怖だけですが、フリーフォール中にスピン、パラシュートが開いてからきりもみ飛行？と急降下して着地まで「楽しい
！」しかありませんでした。終わった瞬間にまたやりたくなりました‼︎
送迎のおじいちゃんの道中の話&チップの要求には残念な所はありますが、それ以外は最高です。またハワイに来たら必ず予定に入れたいアクティビティーですね！

I had a great time! However, I felt unsure if we actually reached the planned altitude. It was advertised as a one-minute free fall, but it seemed like it was only about 20 to 30 seconds. Additionally, among the participants who gathered on the same bus, the order of jumping was mixed up, resulting in over three hours of waiting time difference, which was frustrating considering the limited travel time.

非常に楽しかったです！
ですが、予定されている高度に行っていたか怪しいと思いました。フリーフォール1分とありましたが、実際は20〜30秒くらいしかなかったように思えます。
また、同じバスで集合した参加メンバーの中でも飛ぶ順番がバラバラで待ち時間に3時間以上の違いがあったことも、限られた旅行時間を考えると不満です。

It was amazing! The scenery was beautiful, and I felt completely at ease with the instructor (^ ^). However, it was quite time-consuming due to the weather conditions. I opted for the package with photos and a DVD ♡.

I thought there would be practice, but it was explained only in English and gestures, which made me really anxious. However, since there was an instructor with us, once I tried it, it was so much fun!! I went in a sleeveless top, so I was cold, but the enjoyment outweighed that!

Even at 4,200 meters, you can only float for about 5 minutes, so I definitely recommend going for 4,200 meters! I bought the video, but hiring the cameraman was an additional $70, and the video itself was about $250. I think the photos were another $200. If those prices were a bit lower, it would have been perfect, but since it's something you can't experience every day, I'm satisfied.

練習があると思いきや、英語とジェスチャーのみで説明され凄く不安でしたがインストラクターがついてますので、飛んでみたらすっごく楽しい！！ 私はノースリーブで行ったので寒かったですが、、、
楽しさの方が勝ちました！
4200メートルでも5分程しか浮遊できないので
絶対4200メートルをオススメします！
動画を買いましたがカメラマン雇うので別途70ドル、動画買うのにたしか250ドル、写真はまた別で200ドルだったと思います。
そこがもう少し安ければ最高でしたが、普段体験出来ない事なので満足です。

Someone mentioned in the comments that the quality of the tour depends on the weather and the guide, and I truly felt that was the case! Our guide, U, provided wonderful explanations and was very considerate. Although the vehicle was full, it turned out to be a fun and fulfilling day.

The canyon horseback riding at Happy Trails was my first experience, and I was nervous, but I would love to try it again. We had lunch at Mackey's, and unexpectedly had time for shopping in Haleiwa, making it a truly lovely tour. Thank you very much!

どなたかの感想欄に、ツアーの良し悪しは、天気とガイド次第とありましたが、その通りだと実感！ガイドUさんは、丁寧な説明と気遣いも素晴らしく、車は満員でしたが、楽しく充実した一日となりました。
渓谷乗馬Happy Trailsは、初めてでドキドキでしたが、またトライしたいです。
マッキーズで昼食、思いがけずハレイワでの買い物の時間もあり、大変素敵なツアーでした。ありがとうございました。

It was the best experience! Looking down from the mountain and the fear of jumping was intense, but it was an amazing experience! The staff was really high-energy! I had told them in advance not to spin around in English, but they spun me around anyway... However, after spinning, they checked in with me saying, "OK?" so that was still good.

My tandem staff was really cool, and after we landed, he quietly folded the parachute while I had no idea what to do. But when I watched the video, I was surprised to see him having a blast while we were flying (ﾟДﾟ;). After it was over, I had to wait quite a while for the CD-R. It was slow, so when I went to the reception, I found a box with the CD-R inside, and when I asked, it had already arrived a long time ago. I wish they had communicated that sooner.

I had booked through Veltra without a pickup, but when I arrived in Japan, I was surprised to receive an email from the skydiving company confirming the pickup time, saying, "I'm worried. Please contact me." I also wished they would have replied saying it was a mistake if it was indeed an error.

最高の経験でした！
山を上から見下ろし、飛び降りる時の怖さは半端ないけどすごく良い経験ができました！
スタッフたちはかなり、テンションが高いです！
前もって英語でグルグル回らないでねって伝えてあったのに、グルグル回られました・・・。
でも、回ったあとに『OK？』と確認してくれてたのでまだ、良いです。

私のタンデムスタッフはすごくクールで、着地した後は黙々とパラシュートをたたんでいて、私はどうしたら良いのかわかりませんでした。
でも、ムービーを見ると飛んでいる時はメチャメチャはしゃいでいて、ビックリしました(ﾟДﾟ;)
終わった後にCD-R待ちで、かなり待たされました。
遅いので受付に行くと箱にCD-Rが入っていて、尋ねるととっくに届いていました。
早く伝えてほしかったです。


ベルトラでの予約では送迎なしにしていたのに、日本に着くとスカイダイビングから送迎時間確認のメール『心配です。連絡ください。』と届いていてビックリしました。
また、間違えなら間違えましたと返信もしてほしかったです。

What an amazing time at Polynesian Cultural Center. Everyone was so nice. All the shows were top notch and very entertaining. The food at the luau was very good despite reading prior reviews, we thought it was terrific. The "Ha breath of life" show was very entertaining and had us on the edge of our seats. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen the show. The dancers and story tellers are so talented. A definite MUST see on your trip to Oahu. Kudos to everyone at the center especially the dancers and entertainers

The whale watching cruise was a success. We saw some great whale activity. In addition to seeing several big whale tales splash in the water, we saw whales "log" and one breach the water and splash down.

Very knowledgeable and friendly crew. Great family experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

I have gone many times with family and friends so they can enjoy as I did my first time.mmalways great day this time also, as Iwe had private tour guide which was amazing. Reason for one star down is that I paid for mini bus and was transported in large coach which less personal. I admit we had a great driver. Funny informable about trip and culture center. I did pay extra for mini so think I deserve refund for that upgrade.

On the day of the event, which was a Sunday, traffic was expected to be heavy, but thanks to the local guide's coordination and flexible response, the experience was packed with delicious highlights. Additionally, at the request of the participants, we made an unexpected stop at a coffee farm on the way back, where I was able to get coffee that can't be found in Waikiki.

I was nervous about horseback riding for the first time, but there were no issues at all! I thoroughly enjoyed the extraordinary views from the horse's back and was very satisfied.

参加当日は日曜日ということもあり渋滞が予想されましたが、現地ガイドさんの采配と臨機応変な対応により、おいしいところが凝縮された内容でした。また、参加者のリクエストで帰る途中、予定になかったコーヒーファームにも寄っていただきワイキキでは買えないコーヒーを入手できました。
初めての乗馬で緊張しましたが、まったく問題なし！馬の背中から非日常の景色を楽しめて大満足です。
