This was the best activity we did as a family on our Hawaii vacation. Such a beautiful day out at sea. We snorkeled and went down the slide. My 7 and 4 year olds were swimming in the middle of the ocean and having a blast. The staff was so nice and helpful. They fed us lunch and the tacos were delicious. We got a ton of great photos as well.

It was my first time in Maui in 25 years, and I’m really glad I had this experience. From the moment we boarded, I felt an exciting thrill as if I was already on an attraction. The weather was great, and the beauty of it all made me forget about everyday life! The clarity of the ocean, the encounters with sea turtles, and the meals on the boat make me want to come back again!

For those who are unsure about Japanese, there is an incredibly powerful Japanese person named Takako. She embodies the energy of Hawaii. She approached me very casually, and she has such a fun personality.

Neither my husband nor I speak English, but thanks to Ken, our Japanese guide, who provided solid support and care, we were able to participate without any anxiety. Although there are times when you might not see dolphins, we were fortunate to see many dolphins, sea turtles, and enjoy snorkeling on the day of the tour. They took a lot of photos for us, so we were glad we made the purchase! We definitely want to participate again.

Due to a last-minute change, I participated in the Dolphin University tour. From the hotel pickup to the return, it was a very enjoyable tour filled with hospitality.

The tour involved a medium-sized cruise (with about 30-50 participants, including international guests) to the dolphin spotting area. Once we found dolphins, everyone jumped in together and swam a little to where the dolphins were, which we did twice. Then, we moved to a snorkeling spot where we swam while looking for sea turtles.

From the boat, we could see several wild dolphins swimming and breathing. During the swimming part with the dolphins, we were able to see a few dolphins swimming in groups up close in the water. However, since dolphins swim quickly, some people seemed unable to see them, so there was a bit of luck involved. The tour guide provided clear guidance to ensure everyone could see, and since we could see them from the boat, I think everyone was satisfied.

Additionally, at the snorkeling spot, the slide attached to the boat was also very enjoyable, not just the snorkeling itself. Overall, it was a tour that I would love to participate in again.

イルカについては船の上から、息をしたり泳ぐ野生のイルカが何匹も見れます。ただイルカと泳ぐパートについても、海の中で数匹で群を成して泳ぐイルカを近距離で見ることができました。ただイルカも泳ぐスピードが速いので、一部の方は見ることが出来なかったようで、運の要素も少しはあるように感じました。ただツアーガイドの方はみんなが見れるよう、しっかりとガイダンスを出していましたし、船の上からは見れたので皆さん満足していたように思います。
またシュノーケリングスポットでは、シュノーケリングのみならず船併設の滑り台も非常に良かったです。
全体として、また参加したいと思えるツアーでした。

If you'e going to Kona, you HAVE to night snorkel with the manta rays! It was such a magical experience that felt once in a lifetime. Initially, I was scared to get into the ocean at night, but once you're in the water, the wonder and amazement settled my fears.

This tour is a particularly good one to choose because the boat ride to "Manta Village" is only about 5 minutes from the dock. There are other tours where you leave from a different dock and the boat ride is 45 minutes. For someone that gets seasick, choosing this tour over others is a no brainer.

Be aware that they may change your tour time. During my visit, they were offering tours at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm. We booked the 7pm tour. On the day of tour, they called us at about 1pm and told us the 7pm tour was being cancelled because there weren't enough people signed up. They asked us to join the 6pm tour. They did the same with the 8pm group. Luckily, it worked with our schedule and wasn't a big deal, but it's something to be aware of.

We decided to join the dolphin university tour, and it turned out to be a great decision. As soon as the boat set sail, we were able to see a pod of dolphins from the deck. After about 30 minutes out at sea, we entered the water and were able to see the dolphins swimming underwater. We discovered dolphins at another point as well, but since they weren't swimming in a consistent direction, we ended up watching them from the boat there. Overall, it was a very satisfying tour.

For those who are worried about seasickness due to the waves, I recommend taking a strong anti-nausea medication. The driver who picked us up, the captain of the boat, and the crew who guided us were all very attentive and excellent. They also provided drinks and snacks.

However, I was disappointed with the optional photo sales in the latter part of the tour. I think it would be better to include it in the tour cost or have those who want it speak up. I purchased the photos, but the images of the people who participated with me also came along, so we should consider the privacy concerns that Japanese people might have.

I was filled with anxiety on my first overseas trip, but there were people who spoke Japanese, so I had no problems at all.

I had a great time on the banana boat and bumper tube, teetering on the edge of falling off! Both activities required wearing life jackets, which made me feel safe.

During snorkeling, I also wore a life jacket and just swam on the surface, but at the snorkeling spot, I was thrilled to see two sea turtles and lots of small fish welcoming me! While touching the sea turtles is not allowed, you can get close enough to take pictures with your smartphone! Just be cautious of seasickness as the boat sways constantly. Also, it was just us, but after we finished, I was so cold that my body was shaking, so if you're worried, it's best to prepare a jacket or a bath towel to keep warm.

There was about a 30 to 40-minute wait from the pickup to the start, and after finishing the banana boat and bumper tube, there was a little over an hour before snorkeling, so you can grab a meal at nearby restaurants during that time.

For changing clothes, there was something like a changing room for one person, and there were two lockable restrooms where you could change. However, I just dried off with a towel without changing, and no one said anything while providing transportation.

Tips are given to different drivers for each boat, so after finishing the banana boat and bumper tube, you give a tip to that driver, and after snorkeling, you give a tip to the snorkeling guide.

I stayed at a hotel near Kuhio Beach. I changed into my swimsuit at the hotel and took The Bus to get there. I participated in September. The staff were all very kind, and the instructions were provided in both English and Japanese, which was very considerate. I was a bit anxious since it had been a while since I went snorkeling, but they explained in detail how to put on the gear, safety tips, and what to do if water gets in, which made me feel at ease. Not only did I see dolphins (including mother and baby dolphins!), but I also got to see turtles and even some rare seals, making it a truly fulfilling trip! When I go to Hawaii again, I definitely want to experience this tour once more.

I was a little nervous with my mom being 70 need to get into the submarine. They were very accommodating for her. Words cannot describe how amazing it was to be in this submarine. The picture that I posted of my sister and my husband with the most wonderful look, enjoying their selves Beyond words. This is my absolute favorite memory from our big island vacation 2025.

Thanks to the coordination with other boats, we were able to swim with dolphins without any waiting! It was the best tour to encounter three different species of dolphins in one day.

The Japanese guide accompanied us from the shuttle bus all the way into the ocean, so I think even those who are not confident in English can enjoy it fully. I would love to use this tour again when I come back to Hawaii.
