You will gather at the meeting point by rental car. Since other boats depart at the same time, it can be a bit confusing, but look for the boat with Japanese staff at the furthest dock.

The boat takes about an hour to reach Molokini Island. It's a comfortable cruise, although the scenery might be a bit monotonous. Along the way, a Japanese staff member (who is nice) will explain some important information.

Upon arriving at Molokini Island, you can snorkel for about an hour. The fish are decent. The crescent-shaped island doesn't seem to matter much as you get closer.

After getting back on the boat, you can enjoy a hamburger while moving to another point where you can swim with turtles.

If your main goal is snorkeling, you might not need to join this tour. However, considering the unique location of Molokini Island combined with the cruising experience, it's a tour worth participating in.

We were picked up at the hotel at 6:50 AM, and it took about 15 minutes to get to the port for boarding the cruise.

The tour participants were about half foreign and half Japanese. My husband and I took a seat on the second floor with a good view, and it took about an hour to reach the snorkeling point. The Japanese staff provided a thorough explanation of the snorkeling precautions, which made us feel at ease.

We entered the water and observed the coral reefs and fish. I felt a bit disappointed, thinking, "Is this all there is?" I was expecting more colorful coral reefs.

We changed points and went to see sea turtles, and we were thrilled to encounter them several times.

It was convenient to have breakfast and lunch on the cruise. The food wasn't particularly delicious, but considering the cost performance, I was satisfied.

The staff was kind and helpful, but I think it's questionable to pose for photos and sell them later at a high price. Since we are paying a high amount for the activity, I wish they would include the photos as a complimentary service. The dolphins were very cute.

I had a great time! Actually, I got seasick and spent most of the time on the boat, but I was happy that the staff were concerned about me.

It seems that the dolphins were a bit nervous because a baby had just been born, so I was able to see them from the boat, but it looks like the people swimming couldn't see them.

My daughter said she was disappointed about not seeing the dolphins, but she was moved when she saw the sea turtles.

That said, the staff were really fun and felt like family!

The hula was surprisingly enjoyable too (^_^)v

This is a tour I would like to join again when I go to Hawaii!

Hearing this, my husband and I eagerly joined, believing without a doubt that we would get to see dolphins. The tour description did mention that since it involves nature, there are rare occasions when you might not see them. However, we didn't see a single dolphin, and only a few fish. I was really disappointed to see such a big difference from what we expected. We did receive a half-price voucher for the next time, but I don't think we'll participate for a while.

That said, the performance of the staff was very good.

This was my fifth time swimming with dolphins. This time, I participated in "Private Dolphin Junior High" for the second time. Just like last time, I was able to encounter many pods of dolphins. We had a wonderful time with the crew of Aloha Blue on our snorkel cruise. Breakfast was continental with a lovely spread of fruit, pastries and breads. Juice, iced tea, coffee and water were also available.

We were taken to two snorkel spots and had an hour in each location. The time went by much too quickly! Joe, crew member, was in the water with us the entire time to point out sites and ensure everyone's safety. We were also provided with swim noodles (take advantage of those!!) to help swim against the current.

The second spot is known as "Turtle Town" and there are ample opportunities to spot sea turtles. It is great fun looking at the beautiful underwater world of Hawaii and seeing the sea life. Though we only saw one turtle it was worth the experience!

Lunch was cold cut sandwiches, which was disappointing as the tour information specified a BBQ lunch. The food was very good despite the misinformation.

When we went out to sea, the waves were high, and we got quite wet, which was a bit chilly... I recommend bringing extra dry towels.

I participated in a dolphin encounter with my 1 year and 3 month old daughter. We touched the dolphins' backs, gave commands for them to shake hands, and even kissed them. Personally, it was my first time touching a dolphin directly, so I was satisfied with this rare experience. My daughter, being just a toddler, seemed a bit suspicious while wearing the snug life jacket and it appeared to be too early for her to enjoy it. Additionally, my pregnant wife was unable to participate due to regulations, but I understood the reasoning behind it, as the dolphins' fins could hit quite hard. The expected age for participating children seems to be around preschool age and up. I would like to try this again when the kids are older.

Also, spectators can only enter a bit further away, so it seems you can't see the details very well. (The photo was taken with a 55mm lens.) It might be good to have binoculars or a telephoto lens around 300mm. By the way, individual close-up commemorative photos are taken by the staff and sold later.

On that day, it was crowded and there were many Japanese people, but we were divided into English and Japanese teams to enter one pool. At that time, a child over there...

When I first started planning my Hawaii trip, this was the NUMBER 1 adventure I wanted to do. How often do you get to say... 'yeah, I swam with sharks'. Now amount of words can describe how amazing, thrill seeking, over the top this adventure was...but I'm going to try. I first want to commend the staff of Hawaii Activities. For the first time in 11 years, the boat broke down the day i was suppose to go. Just my luck But the staff worked their magic and reschedule me and I was able to full-fill the highlight of my trip. It was SOOO unbelievably easy too because they make all the accommodations for you. Once at the boat site, you jump on and set off. I would recommend the earliest time available. The earlier, the smoother the waves FYI. So once out there, you are just in awe. There are sharks. AND you are about to get in a cage surrounded by them! I was so scared but this is something I knew I had to do. So i sucked it up and the moment you put your head under the water.... you are stun

We participated as a family of four. Since our children are small, we joined the Dolphin Encounter. We could choose between 9:30 and 11:00 for our participation time, so we opted for the later time of 11:00, which turned out to be a good decision as some people arrived late, causing the bus departure to be delayed, and we arrived on site at 9:40.

The facility is overall compact, but there are plenty of events planned, so we were able to spend our time without getting bored. The main event, interacting with the dolphins, was deeper than we expected, and the water came up to the neck of our younger child. However, since they were wearing life jackets, there was no problem.

We had a problem finding the dock where that particular boat went out. There should have been a dock # or a sign that said where it was. We waited at the wrong Shark Encounter dock because there was no sign. Otherwise, it was 5-star and highly recommended to everyone!

We were supposed to meet at 7:30, but we had to wait over an hour for the boat due to the staff not being assigned and sudden changes in participants. Perhaps because we missed the best time in the morning, we couldn't find any dolphins and spent nearly two hours moving around on the boat. I participated on April 2, 2012. It was the last season for whale watching, but I was thrilled to see the whales spouting water. It was great that there were staff members who spoke Japanese. The location for boarding the boat and the check-in area were a bit difficult to find, so it would be better if that could be improved.
