well my husband and i drove there and we got there really early about 45 min before check in. the staff said they wont start boarding everyone till 1145 . so we walked around and returned at 1130. they were boarding already and we were last in line. i was really disappointed because i wanted window seat. well that didnt happen we sat in the middle of the ship. they started serving food right away. the food was ok it was a buffet so that was good since we didnt eat breakfast. we were out on the ocean for about 45 min before they found any whales. about 15 min before the ship started heading back they finally found the whales but they were sooo faw away that we couldnt see them. then they started heading back after like 3 spottings. i recommend rent your own boat and go or make sure you are first in line and you bring binoculars with you.

Since it was a day with strong winds, we took motion sickness medication for both ourselves and the kids. The breakfast selection was limited, but the taste was quite good with sausage, rice, and oranges. For about 45 minutes after boarding, we only saw the whales spouting a couple of times, but then we got to see their tails and fins coming up and down several times, as well as some backflips, which was incredibly exciting through the binoculars from the fourth deck. My husband filmed it, so the kids could watch it later (the kids stayed with their mother on the boat). While on board, they prioritized explanations in Japanese (on the deck, they provided Japanese guidance after the English announcements, but by then the whales had already submerged), and there were several staff members who spoke Japanese, with the captain even playing with our child. I recommend staying on the fourth deck even if you don't understand English, as it's easier to see from above. We were lucky. Thank you, Joy.

風の強い日の参加だったので、子供共々酔い止めを飲んで参加しました。朝食の種類は少ないですが、味はソーセージ、ご飯、オレンジなど結構美味しかった。乗船して４５分くらいは２.３度の鯨の潮吹きだけでしたが、そのうち鯨のしっぽや横向きでヒレを何度も上げ下げしたり背面ジャンプしたりと４階から双眼鏡越しに大興奮。横の主人がビデオ撮影してくれたので後から子供もゆっくり見られました（子供は母と船内で）。船内にいる間日本語での説明を優先してくれたり（デッキにいると英語の後に日本語案内、でもその時には鯨は潜ってしまう）、日本語の話せるスタッフが何人かいらっしゃり、キャプテンはうちの子供と遊んでいてくれていました。英語が分からなくても４階デッキにいることをおすすめします、上から見るほうがわかりやすいので。ラッキーでした。ジョイありがとう。

When it comes to traveling to Maui, whale watching is a must. I had heard that you could see them from the shore, but I thought it would be better to see them up close from a boat, so I made a reservation.

After about an hour of heading out to sea, we stopped the engine and waited for the whales. Before long, two whales appeared near the boat. I was thrilled to see their beautiful tails up close, just like in the catalogs. My wife and kids were busy taking photos.

Over the course of about 30 minutes, the whales appeared around the boat multiple times, allowing us to observe them closely.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the whales, pointing out when the same whale returned by recognizing its tail and sharing information about the ecosystem. They were also kind to the kids, making it a very enjoyable experience.

The staff took pictures of us kissing and shaking hands with the dolphins using a special camera (which they later try to sell you), and the photos were very clear, capturing the kiss scene just like in travel brochures (the photos were even larger and better). I ended up buying all of them. It became a wonderful memory. If you have dinner reservations in Waikiki, I recommend the morning encounter. There may be delays with the bus; in my case, the pickup was 30 minutes late. Just for your reference.

The dolphin show provided performances that you can't see in Japan, and it was a lot of fun. Even small children enjoyed it, and adults were satisfied as well. However, it was a bit disappointing that the entire show was in English, so I couldn't understand what was being said. It would have been nice to have Japanese-speaking staff for activities other than the show.

We participated in a breakfast course with three family members. We saw the tail just once, but our child is only five years old, so we didn't have time to lift them up and see it properly. The breakfast was delicious. Since we ate in the dining room on the first floor, it didn't have the excitement of a 3-star or 5-star cruise. If a whale had appeared, it would have been more lively, but without that, we were just staring at the waves, which became boring. I think snorkeling would be better for families with children.

I was truly happy to play with my favorite dolphins, but it seemed like there were fewer dolphins than usual??? Well, I guess that's just how it is with wild animals...

I was also moved to encounter other rare characters besides the dolphins!! Especially being able to see a humpback whale's tail up close and witnessing the relaxed姿 of the honu (sea turtle) underwater made for an amazing escape from reality, and I am very grateful for the wonderful memories I have kept in my heart♪

I participated in the Dolphin Encounter and the Ray Encounter. Since I signed up for two tours, I had a lot of changes of clothes, but it was disappointing that there were no carts to carry strollers or luggage. The lockers were small and didn't hold much. I couldn't take my time to enjoy the experience and ended up feeling frustrated. Additionally, the commemorative photos were expensive, and if the whole family wanted to buy them, the price was astonishing, so we decided not to purchase any. Additionally, only the minimum safety instructions for snorkeling were provided, so beginners might feel anxious. On the day of the tour, I made a mistake with the meeting time and was late, but as soon as I realized my mistake and called, they laughed and said they would wait for me. That was a relief...

良くマリンスポーツのオプショナルツアーを申し込むと、日本人だらけのツアーになりがちなのですが、これは日本人は私たち以外いませんでした。
必然的にインストラクターの喋る言語は英語なので、英語が出来ない人には辛いかもしれません。
また、シュノーケルに関する最低限の注意事項のみしかレクチャーされないため、シュノーケルが初めての人は不安に感じるかもしれません。
といっても私も初めてシュノーケルをやった時は見よう見真似でいきなりやったので、全くの初心者でも大丈夫なのかもしれませんが。

当日、集合時間を間違え遅刻をしたのですが、その間違いに気が付いた瞬間、電話をしたら、笑って待っててもらえました。良かった・・・。

シュノーケルをしたポイントは、本当に亀がいっぱいいたので、沢山の亀と魚に出会えましたよ！
シュノーケル後は、ワイキキ沖からダイヤモンドヘッドあたりまでのクルーズがついていたので、それも良かったです！
またこのツアーに参加したいです。
