I also became interested in stars after seeing a mysterious glowing object when I was small, and I read a lot of books about paranormal phenomena and crop circles. It's wonderful for children to develop an interest in space due to some trigger, and the stars they see with their pure eyes must be different from the brilliance that adults perceive. Children are very welcome here...

The summit has become quite warm as we enter May. At this time of year, around 8 PM, it's the peak period for planet fans to see Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, so be sure to look up at the sky. It's the time when you really want a telescope! (laughs) In summer, the Milky Way will shine like a belt of stars, so I look forward to our next meeting.

The cold has been getting harsher day by day since December began, but the conditions for stargazing are perfect. The air is clear, and there is little atmospheric turbulence. The stars shine brightly. You can see them sparkling. Soon, Saturn will also be visible, so please look forward to it next time.

It's also appealing that even children can safely drive up this mountain. Kids capture the stars in the universe with pure, straight eyes, so I definitely recommend seeing the stars while they're still young. We call this starry sky "Tenpura." (laughs) It's a natural planetarium. We're looking at light that traveled here thousands of years ago, so there are stars that won't be visible next year. If I'm praised too much, I tend to get carried away, haha. But I feel that those who want to see the stars share a similar frequency. It's often said that wanting to climb a cold mountain just to see the stars is a good kind of eccentricity, right? Haha. Those who aren't interested would probably prefer to shop to their heart's content and lounge in a warm place. Human desires are perpetual and hard to stop, so finding a way to pause and naturally turn our attention to nature is probably the key to relaxation. Just like elderly people who water flowers and rejoice in their growth, it would be wonderful if we could translate the joy of others into our own happiness. I'm always grateful.

Recently, it's amusing to see more people asking spirits and shooting stars for the year-end lottery. However, I hope they leave feeling as if they've drawn a big winning ticket. While money is certainly important, things like compassion, kindness, and trust cannot be bought with money. You can create money through trust, after all.

At the summit, you can hear the sound of the wind that you normally don't notice, and the silence that is completely devoid of sound. A world without noise is something that is usually unimaginable, so it can be a bit disorienting at first, but once you calm down, it's truly wonderful. You might also be able to see the green flash at the summit. This phenomenon, which can only be seen a few times in a lifetime in the ocean, is relatively easy to observe at 3,000 meters due to atmospheric dispersion and fluctuations. The conditions are clear air and high altitude. Please come visit again!

I've loved stars since I was a child, and it all started with a UFO sighting. A long time ago, there was a specialized book about cosmos, UFOs, and space that I read often. It sparked my interest, especially the part about how there are many luminous bodies in the constellation Perseus. It's truly mysterious that I'm now working with stars. (laughs)

When I look up at the starry sky filled with countless stars, my heart calms down peacefully, and I enter a new state of mind. Surely, there must be some mysterious power in the universe. One day, I believe we will uncover its secrets. My greatest happiness is seeing customers leave with gentle smiles on their way home.

Since I'm a sweet tooth and a big foodie, I stopped by a place called Krispy Kreme, which is the only one in Hawaii, to treat everyone. If you don't try this, it feels like you haven't made the most of your trip to Maui! First, give it a try. And in the car, we enjoy the snacks everyone brought while having a good time. The most important thing is that our guests have fun. Well, I do love junk food, so it's a bit of a dilemma. (laughs)

You can join even if you're alone. In fact, it feels like everyone is part of the Wonder Voyage Club on the way back. (laugh)
Haleakalā is a place that was also used for filming "2001: A Space Odyssey," and the crater offers a breathtaking view. After that, the sunset changes from a reddish hue to green, looking just like a postcard.
The telescope is computer-controlled, accurately selecting the seasonal stars, allowing us to show you stars that are not visible to the naked eye.
