My husband, who loves stargazing, has always wanted to visit the Subaru Telescope, and that dream has come true. He was happily and contentedly watching from a spot where we could see the sunset and the Subaru Telescope. Seeing him like that made me happy as well. As for me, I love looking at the sky, and on this day, the combination of the sea of clouds, colorful clouds, and sunset created a wonderful scene. The orange sunset and the pink sunset were beautiful. The guide took photos frequently from the best spots.

Although the conditions for stargazing were not ideal, being the second day after a full moon, we were still able to see a sky full of stars, the Milky Way, and shooting stars, which made me very satisfied. They showed us Saturn through a telescope and provided a lecture on the stars using a laser pointer. The photo with the Milky Way was a first-time experience and became a memorable shot. Our guide, Shotaro, was very friendly and spoke Japanese well. Although he is not Japanese, he explained everything in both English and Japanese since half of the participants were Japanese. また星空については満月になって2日目という悪条件でしたが、満天の星に天の川・流れ星もみることができて大満足です。天体望遠鏡で土星をみせてくださったりレーザーをあてて星のレクチャーもしてくださいました。なんといっても天の川と一緒の写真は初体験で記念になる1枚となりました。そんな至れり尽くせりのガイドさんは日本語が上手で気さくなショウタロウさん。日本人ではないのですが参加者の半数が日本人だったこともあり、車の中でも着いてからもすへて英語と日本語で説明してくださいました。本当にラッキー！言葉がわかったので体験に深みがでたと思います。
サンドイッチも星空でのホットココアもおいしくて、本当に最高の体験でした。

After the horseback riding, we had to wait nearly two hours for the departure of the return bus, which felt a bit like a waste of time... Since we had an early start, we passed the time by having an early lunch at the adjacent café. We participated as a couple in our 50s, and at that time, there were six of us in a group, riding in a line. I seemed to be the oldest, but I felt completely fine physically.

The sunset from an elevation of 4,000 meters, higher than Mount Fuji, was simply amazing. The beauty created by the clouds and the setting sun is something I will never forget.

Although the starry sky was slightly clouded and the conditions weren't perfect, I was still able to see countless stars and the Milky Way. This is a tour I would recommend everyone experience at least once in their lifetime.

Russ was a fantastic tour guide. We felt he was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about his island. Everything was well organized from the ferry to transportation once we got there. We stayed on the island and took the 5:30 pm ferry. Our driver took us to the cat sanctuary and then picked us up and took us to the Four Seasons to chill until it was time to head to the ferry. He then came back and took us to the ferry. This was all very much appreciated!

First of all, it was a lot of fun. The two hours flew by (including the explanations). The staff were friendly and entertained the participants with jokes. The explanations were fine since there was a Japanese video. Once we started running, there were some asphalt areas, but most of the route was unpaved, allowing us to run through nature, which felt great. There were also cows here and there, letting us enjoy the magnificent scenery. We stopped at several places for photo opportunities. It's a driving experience in a 4x4 that you can't have in Japan, and both the driver and passengers can enjoy it.

This was a great hike. My husband and I aren’t expert hikers but found this to be enjoyable. The trail is very uneven but most trails are. Wear comfy shoes and take water to stay hydrated. It takes about an hour to get to the top and the views above Honolulu are amazing. We had time to take pictures and enjoy before heading back down. The driver of the shuttle was funny and made the trip even better.

Our guide was from Hawaii, born on Maui, and has been living on the Big Island for two years. He was handsome, had a great voice, and was genuinely kind. The weather wasn’t ideal — it was cloudy, though we did see the sea of clouds and a bit of sunlight breaking through. It still felt magical watching the sunset above the clouds, even without a clear sky. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see any stars that night, probably due to the season (I went in late October). But the next day, on another tour, I did see a sky full of stars — so it’s still possible! Be prepared for altitude sickness; I felt lightheaded at the summit and was glad we descended soon after sunset. Overall, it was a good experience despite the bumpy mountain road — and it felt great to have “checked off” the highest mountain in the world (from base to peak).

Skydiving was something I had always wanted to try. Since I wanted to do it, I decided to do it in the breathtaking scenery of Hawaii. There was a bit of a delay at the reception, but the staff were very kind and helpful. The instructor was humorous, and it was perfectly fine not to speak any English.

When it was time to jump, there was no hesitation; I was quickly falling out of the plane, regardless of my own will. I felt no fear at all; it was just amazing. After the parachute opened, we made several turns, which caused quite a bit of G-force and made me feel a bit nauseous. I felt a little sick for a while after landing.

Video and photo shooting is a must.

The sunset was really nice. However, if you want to see a lot of stars, it probably depends on the season, but you should pay attention to the moonset. I participated in late October, but the moonlight was so bright that it probably wasn't the true starry sky of Hawaii Island. The guide mentioned that too, haha. I signed up for this as an activity for my honeymoon. The tour guide was very friendly and kind, providing advice to avoid altitude sickness and explaining the scenery visible from the car window on the way to Mauna Kea, making the journey enjoyable. The sunset from the summit of Mauna Kea was incredibly precious, and I had a luxurious time. I was really looking forward to skydiving. My daughter was scared and reluctant, but we decided to try it at least once as an experience. We signed up for the 8 AM session and woke up at 5 AM to catch the free shuttle bus at 6:40 AM.

We arrived in an hour and operated the iPad. There was a Japanese staff member at the reception who was very polite and helpful. We included a video in our plan, but it only covered the tandem with a handheld camera, and the outside shots taken by another person were not included. I debated about it, but ultimately decided to include the outside shots as well.

The moment we jumped, the free fall offered the best view. The person outside was also smiling and filming. Once the parachute opened, we spun around. It was so much fun!

We received the link to the photos and videos on the same day. Watching them was super enjoyable. My daughter was so excited! It was the best experience!
