I could not be more pleased with my experience on the Star of Honolulu for our vow renewal! The entire experience was flawless from the captain and his beautiful words to the fireworks over the beach at the end. Only two suggestions or pieces of information for others considering this... 1) the three-star experience is not air conditioned and if you are there in July like we were, be prepared to sweat! 2) no children's menu so if you have a picky little one like I do, bring kid-friendly snacks

This dinner was very good for me, especially I likeed roasted beef!
I enjoyed performance by singer and dancer, so I could join the teaching fura dance.
Of course, I could take a picture behind sunset on horizon.
Finally they celebrated us about honeymoon.

The meeting place was farther than I expected, so I was a bit late, but the boat hadn't arrived yet. We waited for about 30 minutes while enjoying the beautiful sunset, and boarded the boat around dusk. The crew members were friendly, and the view of Waikiki from the sea with the fireworks was very beautiful. Music was playing the whole time, creating a club-like atmosphere on the boat. I tend to get seasick easily, and I regretted not taking motion sickness medication... Fortunately, my daughter, who gets seasick more easily than I do, was fine because she took her medication. If you're prone to seasickness, don't forget to take your medication.

There were some women and children who looked cold, so it might be a good idea to bring something to wear over your clothes for warmth.

I participated in the 5 PM reception. I was planning to return before the sunset, but thanks to the captain's arrangement, we were able to extend our time and see a very beautiful sunset. Thank you to the captain and the lovely bartender! Please be careful with your footing when boarding and disembarking, as the waves can be high and the stairs are narrow.

At the time of the reservation, I couldn't predict the weather, and unfortunately, it was cloudy on the day, so we couldn't see the sunset. However, everyone on the boat, including the staff and other guests, had a great time! When drinks ran out, the staff encouraged us to have more, so we could drink plenty. There are also restrooms on board, which is reassuring! The wind feels amazing! I would love to participate again when it's sunny!

I wanted my 2-year-old to experience sailing, so we participated! There were two other families with small children, and about 40% of the participants were Japanese.

I had expected mostly young foreigners based on the reviews, but surprisingly, there were quite a few older participants as well (laughs), and the atmosphere was quite relaxed. However, when the waves splashed, everyone got excited and started squealing, and as the drinks kicked in, we gradually began dancing to the music, enjoying the lively vibe of a different culture!

The captain and crew didn't speak Japanese, but they were friendly and cheerful, which made for a pleasant experience.

While some reviews mention negative experiences, I think those who enjoy drinking and having a good time will really enjoy this. We've participated in various activities during our trip to Hawaii, but my husband, who doesn't speak English, said this cruise was the most fun. The rocking of the boat is quite intense, making it perfect for those who love roller coasters! Conversely, if you're looking to enjoy a more serene sunset, you might want to choose a different cruise.

キャプテンやクルーは日本語を話せませんが、フランクな陽気な方でとても感じが良かったです。

口コミでたまに嫌な思いをされる方がいるようですが、お酒が好きで、ワイワイするのが好きな方でしたら楽しめると思います。このハワイ旅行で色々と参加しましたが、英語が話せない主人でもこのクルーズが一番楽しかったと言っています。揺れが激しいので、ジェットコースター好きな方にもピッタリです！
逆に、しっとりとサンセットを楽しみたい方は別のクルーズにされた方がいいかもしれません。

Enjoying a delicious Mai Tai against the backdrop of the hotels in Waikiki and Diamond Head♡ This is pure bliss. Sometimes getting splashed by the waves, and after the excitement of the activities, slowing down to fully enjoy the sunset. I'll ride it again next year!

As soon as we got out to Diamond Head, the waves of the open sea caused a lot of up-and-down motion... Personally, it was the best activity, but I definitely do not recommend it for those who get motion sickness.

It was a small Mai Tai catamaran, but it sped along gracefully, with the cheers of passengers splashing in the waves. Tourists from Japan were able to exchange photos with foreign tour guests and share a fun time together. The sight of Diamond Head glowing in the sunset was also impressive, and I definitely want to board again next time.

We had a great time. It was definitely a perfect opportunity to get away from it all. With that said it’s worth the cost! The dock was easy to find. They are the first booth as you enter the lot. Check in was easy at 1700 and sailed promptly at 530 pm. It was nice to unwind with a friendly crowd from all walks of life while “chasing” the sunset. The crew were super chill and attentive. The food was okay. That night they had tofu rolls, egg rolls, white rice, glazed chicken, and ginger beef with veggies buffet style/self serve. Then had chocolate chip cookie after served by crew member. The bar was rolling so I take it everyone was enjoying their drinks. The package came with one drink, it can be used towards juice or soft drink or with spirits. The part I enjoyed the most was having the moment to sit back, relaxing and enjoying the “waves”. But for the most part, I did enjoy socializing with other people on the cruise. That night was filled only with good vibes. We did the cruise on mid part of our stay here in Oahu and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We were busy running around “chasing” for the best of the best and the 2+ hr sail finally gave me the chance to “breathe” if you will. We had plenty’s of time to take pictures and a crew member was more than happy to assist as well. He gave us the heads up as far as what to expect and he was right on. No surprises on board! Just how I like it! You can sit in the enclosed area which I do not recommend if you get sea sick or you can stay standing, do your Kate and Leo’s pose, sit and relax by the nets. Ladies it does get windy so unless you also want to be Marilyn Monroe, wear shorts or pants! There’s a parking lot directly by the dock for $1/hr. It was a smooth sail (take it from me..I am one to guaranteed to get nauseous just from standing on the beach). There were no children on board. I didn’t travel with my children this time so I am not sure if that is stated on the description site..

Since there were Japanese staff members, I had no worries about the language. The scenery and fireworks were beautiful. The return trip was also quite long...

We had the most incredible evening - these women are kickass and we couldn't have imagined a better crew!! The drinks were great, the sunset unbelievable and the boat was VERY clean - even the bathrooms were nice and clean. We would definitely do this again when back in Hawaii!

Highly recommend a Hawaiian Mimosa by the way!! Well worth the money for an evening on the water - big enough that it's spacious too. Thank you girls for such a memorable evening!! <3

I apologize for the late post, but I used the service in April. Since our arrival date was on a Friday, I signed up for my friend’s first trip to Hawaii to see the Hilton fireworks! My friend, who was worried about motion sickness, was very happy to enjoy the fireworks while feeling the pleasant breeze (a jacket is a must!). I usually watch from the beach, but seeing the fireworks from the water was exceptional. I would like to sign up again next time!

Unbeatable Cruise Combination!

This cruise was everything we wanted! Check-in was easy, the staff are SUPER friendly, polite and professional. They work hard to make sure you have what you need and that you enjoy yourself. The food was delicious and were generous portions - it is really a dinner; so bring your appetite. There is lots to see and do; everything is timed beautifully from the start of dinner to the most beautiful sunset you will ever see! It was like, did someone order a sunet? And it was served to perfection. The Hilton Fireworks show was nice and Captain Tiger positions the boat just right to take it all in. The Hula dancing was fun and the fire dancer to close out everything was a nice touch against the dark skies. If you are driving come early to get nearby parking on the pier or just take a cab or uber since the cocktails are plentiful and affordable. This was one of our best outings during our Oahu trip! Can't beat the price for all that you get. Aloha....
