We participated as a couple. Most of the tour participants were American, so there was a bit of an away feeling, but one of the participants kindly spoke to us in slow, clear English since we didn't understand much.

We encountered many dolphins, and snorkeling was fun. But above all, the high-speed boat was thrilling! However, after snorkeling, the wind was quite strong and cold, so a jacket is necessary!

夫婦で参加。ツアー参加者はアメリカ人ばかりでアウェイ感はありましたが、参加者の一人が英語がわからない私たちに、ゆっくりと分かりやすい英語で話しかけてくれて助かりました。
イルカにも沢山出会えましたし、シュノーケルも楽しかったです。
でも、何といっても高速ボートがスリル満点‼
ただ、シュノーケルの後は風がかなり当たって寒いので、上着は必要です‼

The crews are very patient, sweet and helpful. It was a fun trip allthough a lot harder than we (two sisters) expected. They ended up towing us because we were behind everyone.
The best part was eating awesome pineapples and feeding the skins to the fish. The deep blue ocean is really beautiful, absolutely worth it.

Took our family on this excursion and had a great time. Kevin was very knowledgeable about the area and gave great directions for sea kayaking. Our family likes the water but we had never sea kayaked before. The sea cave was my favorite and the kids loved the snorkeling. The optional cliff jump was a blast for me (43) and Kevin gave great directions to keep feet together, arms at side, and stay vertical. Kids may have a hard time following the directions as instinct is to flail arms when falling and if they do then it will be unpleasant when they hit the water. The snacks Kevin brought were refreshing after our adventure. We had a great time and would do it again.

I booked this tour because it comes with a Japanese guide. I forgot that I needed to contact them after arriving in Hawaii, and on the day of the tour, I hurriedly made a phone call, but there were no issues.
The participants were half Japanese and half foreigners. The guide was a friendly American woman in her twenties who spoke a little Japanese. The atmosphere on the boat was pleasant throughout.
About 30 minutes after departure, we arrived at the spot. We floated a buoy that looked like a glowing surfboard in the sea and waited for the manta rays to come. Once we confirmed that the manta rays were approaching, we all got into the water, held onto the buoy, and looked at the manta rays with our faces in the water. The manta rays swirled around, coming close to the light and then moving away, repeating this several times, and they came quite close, which was thrilling. On this day, the manta rays approached our buoy about 7 to 8 times. The night sea was cold, and since we couldn't stay in the water for too long, we were lucky to see them for a bit.

日本人ガイドがつくということで、こちらのツアーを予約しました。ハワイ到着後に連絡を入れなければならないことを忘れており、ツアー当日に慌てて電話をしましたが、問題ありませんでした。
ツアー参加者は日本人と外国人が半々。ガイドは20代くらいのアメリカ人女性でした。日本語は少し話せる程度でしたが、フレンドリーな性格で船上は終始和やかな雰囲気でした。
出港して30分ほどでポイントに到着。光を放つサーフボードのような浮きを海に浮かべ、マンタが寄ってくるのを待ちます。マンタが近づいてきたのを確認し、みんなで水に入り浮きにつかまりながら顔を水につけてマンタを見学。マンタはくるくると旋回しながら光に近づいては離れ、を繰り返しますが、かなり近くまでやってくるので迫力満点。この日は７～８回マンタが私たちの浮きに近づいてきました。夜の海は水が冷たく体が冷えるのであまり長く水中にいられないため、少ししか見られないこともあるようですので、私たちはラッキーでした。

We had an awesome time with captain JC and Kevin. I went on dolfin discovery the day before and didn't even see the dolfin and captain JC found for us a shark, 3x dolfin and bring us to a place where the turtles are. In one word AWESOME, mahalo and aloha from the Netherlands

I had an awesome expierence with the Manta Ray swim in front of our hotel.

It was a reservation for the day we arrived on the Big Island. Most of the guests were foreigners, and there were a lot of people in line. The weather wasn't great, and they were handing out simple ponchos while we waited. My wife's poncho seemed to be a bit defective, and she struggled to put it on, but several foreigners in line helped her, and she finally managed to wear it. It was a fun memory. As for the show, it started to rain heavily around the time we were having dinner, and the drinks became watered down, so due to the fatigue from the flight, we ended up leaving before the show started. What a shame! However, it seemed that the foreigners were enjoying themselves despite the rain.

ハワイ島に到着した日の予約でした。お客さんはほとんど外国の人で、大勢の人が並んでいました。天気が良くなくて　並んでいる時に簡易ポンチョが配られていました。家内のポンチョはちょっと不良品だったようで　着るのに苦労していると　周りに並んでいた外国の方が　何人も手伝ってくれてやっと着用できました。楽しい思い出です。　肝心のショーの方は、食事をとってきた頃から雨が激しくなりドリンクも水っぽくなってしまったので　飛行機の疲れもあってショーが始まったころに退席してしまいました。残念！！　外国の方は雨もなんのその　皆さん楽しまれていたようです。

I encountered dolphins!! The guide was very kind and gave us many opportunities to swim with the dolphins, so we swam a lot!! I was very excited when a dolphin came right by my feet. It became a wonderful memory!!

イルカに出会えました！！ガイドの方もとっても親切でした。何回もイルカと泳ぐチャンスをくれてたくさん泳げました！！足元にイルカが来たときはとても興奮しました。良い思い出になりました！！

I participated at the end of April with a total of six people: my family of four, plus my father and mother.

The one-hour boat ride to our destination was pleasant and enjoyable. Drinks and snacks were provided, and we could help ourselves. The staff were very cheerful and kind, efficiently preparing snorkels and fins in sizes that suited everyone.

Upon arriving at the bay with the Captain Cook monument, it was finally time for snorkeling. I was worried about whether my six-year-old daughter and my 66-year-old father would be able to participate, but there were plenty of floaties and body wraps available, so we could enjoy it with peace of mind. The water was a bit cold, but it was great to see so many colorful fish.

On the return trip, we encountered a pod of dolphins. Dolphins gathered from all around, swimming alongside the boat and jumping around us. We were able to see their cute appearances and behaviors for about 20 minutes, which was very moving.

I created many wonderful memories. Next time I visit the Big Island, I definitely want to join the Fair Wind snorkeling tour again. Thank you very much.

私は４月末に、家族四人＆私の父と母、の合計６人で参加しました。

目的地に着くまでの一時間程、船の旅も気持ちよく楽しいものでした。ドリンクやスナックが用意されていて、自由に取りに行く形でした。
スタッフの方々もとても明るく親切で、それぞれにあったサイズのシュノーケル、フィンも手際よく用意してくれました。

キャプテンクックの記念碑がある湾に到着し、いよいよシュノーケルです。
娘は６歳、私の父は66歳だったので出来るか心配していましたが、浮き輪や体に巻き付ける浮具がたくさん用意されていたので、安心して楽しめました。海は少し冷たかったですが、カラフルな魚がたくさん見れて良かったです。

帰りの船ではイルカの群れに遭遇しました。あちこちからイルカがたくさん集まってきて、船と並んで泳いだり、周りでジャンプしたり、、
20分ほどイルカの可愛い姿や仕草が見れて、
とっても感動しました。
本当に素敵な思い出がたくさんできました。

次回、ハワイ島に行くときは必ずまたフェアウィンド号のシュノーケルツアーに参加したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

Great day, great crew. Extremely safety conscious company. We had a rough ride a fair way so it was good to feel in safe hands. Saw many dolphins and a few turtles too.

The Japanese female tour guide was bright, kind, and provided clear and efficient explanations and support, making it enjoyable. Watching the manta rays eat plankton was thrilling, a mix of a little scary and fun. I'm glad I participated. There were about 20 participants, which felt a bit crowded.

日本人女性のツアーガイドさんが、明るく、優しく、無駄のない、説明やフォローをしてくれ、楽しめました。
マンタがプランクトンを食べる様子は、迫力満点で、ちょっと怖いのと楽しいのが混ざった感じでした。参加して良かったです。
参加者が２０人で、ちょっと多かったです。

I joined hoping to see dolphins up close, but I was surprised at how much closer they came than I expected! It felt like the dolphins were playing with me. I had a great time!

Me and my family attended this activity on 5/12/17 and it was everything and more! There was a total of 8 of us in my family that went. The boat was huge and there was not a lot of people so there was plenty of room to sit and wander. The crew was friendly and very informational! They answered all questions and did a good instructional of what to expect and what not to do. Once in the water they were so helpful especially for those snorkeling for the first time. They helped you every step of the way to make sure you were having the best time possible. They eased you and helped to calm your nerves. We saw three manta's during our time and it was amazing! A must do event that no one can miss. Once we were back on the boat there were a total of five manta's swimming around almost pleading us to come back in the water! Two of us got sea sick over the side of the boat and the crew was super nice about it and just said that we were feeding the fish! Hahahaha. I would highly recommend this snorkel swim and specifically with the Hula Kai. It seemed to be the better of what I could see once out on the bay. I can not thank the crew enough for such a wonderful experience for our family! Job well done!

I went to Hawaii Island for this purpose. The breathtaking sunset and starry sky exceeded my expectations, and I wanted to stay there forever. I thought I would be able to see the starry sky at the summit based on the tour overview, but it seems there are regulations for this mountain, and we had to go a little lower, not just for this tour. However, it was said that going a bit lower is better, and the guide shared various stories, which was really nice.

What was also great was that the guide was very knowledgeable about cameras! They took pictures with the camera we brought and taught us tips on how to take beautiful photos. The sunset and starry sky were truly beautiful, and it became the best memory of my trip!

これが目的でハワイ島に行きました。
想像を大きく上回る絶景のサンセット、星空でいつまでもいたかったです。
ツアー概要を見て山頂で星空を見れると思っていましたが、この山での規定があるそうで、ここのツアーに限らず少し下ります。
でも、少し下った方がいいそうで他にも色々なお話をしてくれてとてもよかったです。

そしてとてもよかったのが、ガイドさんがカメラにかなり詳しいこと！自分達が持っていったカメラでも撮ってくれたり、綺麗にとるコツを教えてくれます。
本当にきれいなサンセットと星空で、旅行で一番の思い出になりました！

Swimming with Manta Rays has been on my bucket list for a very long time. Seeing these beautiful creatures swimming next to you was absolutely unreal! As you can only spot Manta Rays at night we went for a short boat trip first where we watched the sunset, enjoyed the weather and had a few drinks. Our captain was a great guy who showed us something I couldn’t believe existed – a green flash right before the sun disappears below the horizon – thought it was a myth! Crew did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and to enhance our experience throughout the entire trip. Manta Rays were swimming right next to us and I managed to get a perfect footage on my GoPro camera which I am going to use for my video. This experience is a must do if you are visiting Big Island – this was definitely a highlight of my trip to Hawaii!

I was glad to be able to see wild dolphins up close. The briefing before meeting the dolphins was thorough and left a good impression. Thank you to all the guides.

It's been over 20 years since I started visiting the Big Island, but I've always hesitated to join the Mauna Kea summit tour. This is because the experience can be greatly affected by the weather! This time, I could only participate on May 3rd, so I made a reservation with a feeling of leaving it to luck! The result was a huge success! On the way, the conditions at the Onizuka Center were heavy clouds and light rain, but as we got closer to the summit, it turned into clear skies! The sunset view from the summit was truly breathtaking! The stargazing afterward was also wonderful! The tour guides were knowledgeable and provided fun explanations, so I was able to enjoy the experience without getting bored. Thank you very much!

ハワイ島へ訪れるようになって２０年以上経っているのに、マウナケア山頂ツアーへはいつも二の足を踏んでいました。それは、感動のバロメーターが天候に大きく左右されるからです！今回日程的に参加できるのは５月３日のみというコトで、運を天に任せる気持ちで予約を入れました！結果は大正解！途中、オニヅカセンターでは重い雲＆小雨のコンディションでしたが、山頂に近づくにつれてピーカンに！山頂から見るサンセットは、それはそれは感動でした！その後の星空観測もとても素敵でした！ツアーガイドの方々も博識で、楽しくいろいろ説明をして下さるので、飽きることなく楽しめました。ありがとうございました！

Despite not being confident in swimming, I participated on the day of arrival. Thanks to the extensive support, I was able to see many impressive manta rays without feeling scared. The sunset on the way there was beautiful. I felt a bit chilly, so don't forget to bring warm clothing.

The sunset viewed from the summit of Mauna Kea and the starry sky spread across the entire sky was a sight I will never forget!! If you're considering it, I absolutely think you should participate!! It was a wonderful tour!! I want to bring my parents along next time!!

I didn't understand the system and just went with the flow to take my seat. The show while watching the sunset was wonderful. The fire show was intense and very powerful.

システムがわからず流れにのって席につきました。夕日をながめながらのショーは素敵でした。
火を使ったショーは体をはったものでとても迫力がありました。

This was a nice way to arrive on the Big Island. As a bonus, the woman who greeted us knew everything about the airport and rental car locations. The pink and white colored orchid leis smelled fantabulous!

They picked me up at the hotel at 1:30 PM. There were three guests ahead of me, and they went to pick up others, totaling 11 for the tour. Actually, I had gone there 12 years ago with a rental car, but now you need a four-wheel drive, and bringing winter gear is a hassle, so I decided to use their service. I completed the card payment procedure with a reservation from Japan.

The dinner bento (Japanese food) and the salty miso soup were good, and the cocoa was delicious. Mr. Konno's service was great. Unfortunately, the clouds were thick, and the sunset wasn't as spectacular as I had hoped. However, the stargazing afterward was amazing. The explanation of the constellations using a laser pointer was particularly good, and he had a wealth of knowledge about the constellations.

There's a boom in constellation photography with DSLR cameras in Japan, so anyone interested should definitely go. However, a tripod is necessary, so it would be great if Masashi could prepare one for a fee.

In any case, it was worth $170.

ホテルに１３時半に迎えに来てくれた。３人先客会って他にも迎えに行き１１名にツア－だった。実は１２年前にレンタカーで行ったのだが、今は四輪車でなければならないし防寒具持って行くのも面倒なのでお世話になることにした。
日本から予約でカ－ド支払いの手続きを終わって行った。
夕食の弁当（日本食）と塩っけの味噌汁良かったし、ココアも美味しかった。
コンノさんの対応良かった。
残念ながら雲が厚く太陽落ちてからの燃え方はさほどではなかった。
そのあとの星空観察は最高だった。特にレ－ザポインタ－使用しての星座の説明は大変良かった。又とても星座の知識豊富。
日本でも一眼レフカメラの間では星座ブ－ムだから興味ある人は是非。
但し三脚必要なのでマサシさんの方で有料でもいいから準備してくれたらいいのだが。
とにかく＄１７０の価値あり。

I participated with my parents in their 70s. Since it was at a high altitude, I was worried, but thanks to the guide's consideration, we were able to participate without any issues. The sunset and the starry sky were truly moving. We could see the Halemaʻumaʻu Crater, and the guides took many photos for us. Every time we look at the photos after returning home, the emotions come flooding back. My parents seem to have gained confidence from going to a place higher than Mount Fuji, and they are saying they want to go again.

70代の両親を連れて参加しました。高地なので心配はありましたがガイドさんの気遣いなどもあり、まったく問題なく参加できました。
サンセットも星空も本当に感動しました。ハレマウマウ火口も見え、ガイソさん達がたくさん写真を取ってくれます。帰ってきてからも写真を見るたびに感動がよみがえります。
両親も富士山よりも高いところに行ったという自信もついたようで、また行きたいと言っています。

It was an interactive show, so the performance itself was short, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was fairly good as well. They made the drink I wanted (highball) when I asked for it. There weren't any noisy customers. I was staying at the Kamehameha, but I was glad I walked over here to experience a closer ocean vibe. Also, I arrived just in time and, although I had to wait a little, I was able to secure a seat relatively close to the stage.

参加型のショーなので、鑑賞するショー自体は短いですが、
雰囲気は楽しめました。ご飯もまぁまぁおいしかったです。
お酒も欲しいもの（ハイボール）を言えば作ってくれました。
お客さんも騒がしい人たちはいませんでした。
カメハメハに滞在していましたが、
より海に近い雰囲気を味わいたかったので、こちらまで歩いてきて良かったです。
また、時間ぎりぎりに行き、少し並んだものの、割と舞台に近い席は確保できました。

I was very excited to meet many dolphins and see them up close. The guide was young but very calm and kind, which helped me relax. I highly recommend it!

I participated in the afternoon tour, but it ended up being just kayaking around Keauhou Bay and snorkeling only within the bay, leaving us with quite a bit of extra time. There was no explanation provided on-site, so when I returned to Japan, I inquired about why we didn't go to Keauhou Bay. I understand the reason related to the weather (it was indeed quite choppy and cold), but I found it a bit questionable to mention our physical fitness and kayaking skills as issues. Do they change the route if there are beginners? At the very least, if there had been some explanation on-site, I would have felt a bit more satisfied, but I was a little disappointed this time.

午後ツアーに参加しましたが、
ケアウホウ湾付近のカヤックと、
ケアウホウ湾内だけのシュノーケルで終わってしまい、
時間が大分余ってしまいました。
現地では何の説明も無いまま終わってしまったので、
日本に帰ってきてからクアモオ湾まで行かなかった理由を伺いました。
天候のせい（確かに波が高く、寒かったです）という理由は分かりますが、
私たちの体力やカヤック技術の問題にまで言及するのはちょっと疑問でした。
初心者の人がいるとルートを変えるのでしょうか？
せめて現地で何らかの説明があればもう少し納得がいくのですが、
今回は少しがっかりしました。

I had very little experience swimming before, and it was my first time snorkeling, so I was quite anxious. However, I am grateful to our guide, Daisuke, for easing my nerves. Since we were looking for wild dolphins, there was no guarantee we would see them, but it seemed like he was using his experienced intuition to search for them. Normally, it takes about an hour to find them, but in our case, we encountered them just one minute after departure and were able to swim with them for a long time.

これまで泳ぎをあまりしたことがなく、シュノーケリングも初めてでとても不安でしたが、ガイドの大輔さんが緊張を柔らげてくださって感謝です。野性のイルカなので、必ず会える保証はないとのことですが、経験豊富な勘？でイルカを探していただいているようで、普段1時間ぐらいは船を走らせるところ、私達の時は、出航わずか1分で遭遇し、長い時間一緒に泳ぐことが出来ました。

We enjoyed a lively atmosphere with a live band and beautiful sunset, followed by an abundance of Polynesian dance performances. The final fire dance is a must-see.

生バンドの演奏で雰囲気を盛りあげ、美しい夕陽を眺めたころより、盛りだくさんのポリネシアンダンスを楽しめました。最後のファイヤーダンスは必見です。

I participated last September, and thanks to the experienced guide, I was able to encounter pods of dolphins multiple times, creating the best memories. I definitely want to join again when I go to the Big Island! I highly recommend it!

昨年の9月に参加しましたが、経験豊富なガイドさんのおかげで何度もイルカの群れに遭遇することができ、最高の思い出になりました。
