First of all, it started with a very friendly guide (Macchan) welcoming us with a warm "aloha." He was considerate of my elderly mother and helped her into the front seat, which was easier for her to get in and out of.

That day, the bus was almost full. The scenery gradually changed from lava to more greenery. As we ascended, we entered the clouds and experienced some light rain, which made the changing views even more exciting.

To acclimatize to the altitude, we had about an hour of lunch time at the Onizuka Center before heading to the summit of Mauna Kea. The sea of clouds, sunset, and starry sky were different from what I had seen online or in guidebooks.

The 360-degree view was breathtaking. We observed the stars under some of the world's renowned observatories, in temperatures that felt unlike Hawaii. I was a bit worried about altitude sickness, but it turned out to be no problem at all.

Macchan was knowledgeable about cameras and took some wonderful photos, so I can enjoy them even after returning home. It became a lovely memory.

先ずは、とっても気さくなガイドさん（まっちゃんさん）の〜aloha〜お迎えからはじまりました。高齢の母を気遣って下さり、乗り降りのしやすい助手席に乗せていただきました。
この日はほぼ満員。
溶岩から段々と緑が増えていきます。どんどん標高があがり、途中　雲の中に突入したり、パラパラと雨が降ったりで、目まぐるしく景色が変わると共に期待もどんどん膨らんでいきます。
体を高地に慣らすためにオニヅカセンターで1時間ほどお弁当タイムを経て、マウナケア山頂へ。
ネットや、ガイドブックなどで見たものとは違う、雲海や夕陽、星空でした。
360度素晴らしい景色。世界の名だたる天文台の下での星空観測。ハワイとは思えない気温。
少しだけ心配していた高山病もまったく問題ありませんでした。
まっちゃんさんがカメラに詳しくて、とてもステキな写真を撮ってくださったので、帰国後も写真見て楽しめます。
素敵な想い出になりました。

I went to see the starry sky ten years ago, but at that time it was snowing, and I couldn't see the sunset or the stars at all. This time, I thought, and as soon as I decided to book a tour to the Big Island of Hawaii, I made a reservation right away. It was absolutely amazing! The sunset and the starry sky were breathtaking. I was at a loss for words when I saw the endless starry sky. I look forward to the next time!

10年前に星空を観に行きましたが、その時は吹雪いており全く夕焼けも星空も観れませんでした。今回は！と思い、ツアーをハワイ島に旅行に行く事を決定したすぐに予約させて頂きました。
もう最高です！夕焼けも星空も。見渡す限りの星空には言葉も出ませんでした。また次回もお願いします。

Paddling through the vast ocean in a sea kayak was a bit intimidating at first, but once I got on, the sea, the waves, and the refreshing breeze felt absolutely wonderful. The scenery on the Big Island of Hawaii is stunning, and as I moved forward in front of the gentle slopes of Mauna Loa, it became the best experience to float in the ocean with such magnificent nature before my eyes.

大海原をシーカヤックで進む・・というのはちょっと恐怖を覚えましたが、いざ乗ってみると海と波と気持ちよい風がとっても気持ちよかったです。ハワイ島は景色が最高で、マウナロアのなだらかな斜面を前にして前進していきます。あんな大きな自然を目の前に海に漂うのは最高の経験となります。

Deluxe is the word! As if the natural awesomeness of a live volcano,a national park and stars was not enough this trip also includes a tasty picnic lunch and a 5 star dining experience for dinner. Add to this an extremely knowledgeable guide who serenades you with ukulele, tells amazing Hawaiian myths, provides astronomical binoculars to improve photographs taken on your phones and cameras of a live volcano at night and leads a sing-along on the way home.
This was a long day but easily the best tour our family has ever taken. Booking via Veltra tours was easy, even from overseas.

My first snorkeling experience with dolphins was exhilarating. We traveled to the spot by boat, and the weather was perfect, making the journey even more enjoyable! Once we arrived, the guide observed the dolphins' movements and chose the best spot for us to dive in. Dolphins swam right in front of us, and as I looked around, I spotted a mother and baby dolphin below me. They even came close to me, which was incredibly exciting. The guide swam with the dolphins, and it was truly amazing. I definitely want to do this again when I visit the Big Island!

初のイルカとのシュノーケリング、ワクワクで参加。
ポイントまで、ボードで移動。天気にも恵まれて移動中も気分は最高‼️
ポイントについて、ガイドの方がイルカの動きを見て、ベストな所でダイブイン。目の前をイルカが通過したり、周りをキョロキョロしてると、自分の下の方に親子連れのイルカがいたり、自分の近くまで近寄ってきたりと大興奮です。ガイドの方は、イルカと一緒に泳いだりしていて、本当に凄かった。
またハワイ島に行ったらやりたいと思いました。

Everything was a first experience! My two daughters, one in third grade and the other over 20, teamed up while my husband and I paired up to challenge ourselves with kayaking. Although we didn't progress as smoothly as we hoped (it was quite physically demanding), it was very fun and interesting! The view of the land from the sea was also amazing! However, at the beginning, the staff reminded us to apply sunscreen properly, but I didn't have any with me, so I just applied it before leaving in the morning. By the evening, my shoulders, legs, and forehead were bright red and a bit painful. Make sure to carry sunscreen with you!

何もかもが初体験！小学3年と20歳を超えた娘2人がペアーを組んで、私と旦那が組んで それぞれカヤックに挑戦。思うように進まないものの、(結構体力は使いましが)とても楽しくおもしろかったです（笑）海から見る陸の景色も最高！ただ、始めにスタッフの人が 日焼け止めをしっかり塗って下さい！っと言っていたのですが、日焼け止めを持ち歩いてなかったので、朝出かける前に塗ったまま参加。夜には肩や足 おでこが真っ赤になって少し痛い思いをしました。日焼け止めは持ち歩いて（笑）

I had been interested in the sunset at the summit of Mauna Kea, which I had seen on TV for a long time! Additionally, we got to do some stargazing, making it the best day ever! We participated as a couple on our honeymoon.

Initially, I was planning to sign up for a tour with a Japanese guide, but it was already fully booked, so I signed up for this tour instead. I was a bit worried since I don't speak much English, but despite the tour being almost 100% in English, thanks to the tour guide's consideration and a Japanese family who happened to join us, I was able to enjoy it very much!

I also observed other tours with Japanese guides and felt that the content and quality of this tour, along with the consideration for customers and the very free-flowing nature of the proceedings, made me truly glad that I participated in this tour.

The hot chocolate and brownies during stargazing were unforgettable. It was truly the best tour! Thank you very much!

以前からテレビで見て気になっていたマウナケア山頂でのサンセット！さらに天体観測もさせてもらえて最高の1日でした！
新婚旅行で夫婦で参加しました。
当初、日本語ガイドのツアーを申し込もうと思っていたところ、既に一杯だったためこちらのツアーに申し込みました。
英語がほぼ出来ないため、多少心配していましたが、ツアーの最中はほぼ100%英語だったにもかかわらず、ツアーガイドさんのお気遣いと、偶然一緒に参加した日本人の家族の方のおかげで、とても楽しむ事ができました！
他の日本語ガイドのツアーの方々もいらっしゃって様子を拝見致しましたが、ツアーの内容や質、お客様への配慮やとても自由な感じでの進行など、このツアーに参加出来てよかったと改めて感じています。
天体観測中のホットチョコレートとブラウニー、あのおいしさはわすれられません。
本当に最高のツアーでした！ありがとうございました！

The guide was outstanding. He is a geologist with a lot of experience. He provide
a lot of information on the volcano as well as information about the the big island in general. He helped us take pictures as well as provided answers to questions we asked. This was a great tour.

This trip was the highlight of our trip to the Big Island. We had a great time and enjoyed the experience immensely. I was a little disappointed when they called me that morning and told us the road to the summit was closed and we might not be able to go to the top. Since we were on a limited time schedule we decided to go anyway. Nate was our guide and picked us up in Kona. On the ride to Mauna Kea, he explained about the different kinds of lava flows and some of the myths about Pele. When we got to the sheep station, Nate set up our meal for us and explained about life as a sheep rancher on the island. He promised that if we didn't get to go to the summit, he would make sure we at least saw the sunset from another spot. Supper was very good and it was fun getting to know the other tourists with us. After we ate, we got the good news that the road had opened and we were able to go to the top. What a gorgeous sight!! We saw the sun set on one side and turned around and saw the full moon coming up on the other. After watching the sunset, we went back down to visitor center and did some stargazing. Nate was very knowledgeable about the constellations. We were able to see the rings around Saturn and other constellations that night. The hot chocolate and warm brownies tasted good after being up on the summit where it was pretty chilly! I would definitely recommend this adventure for anyone visiting the Big Island, If we are fortunate enough to return, we will be doing this again!! Thank you Nate for a great evening.

We enjoyed the Island Breeze Luau. We were seated with a great group of people and enjoyed talking with them.. The show was very well done. The fire dancer at the end was especially good. The food was very good and had a lot of choices on the buffet.

It was a great snorkeling experience. They did a great job all around. Seeing Dolphins is a guarantee. They hang out just off the coast on the way to and from the snorkeling location. The food they served was great and included (breakfast/lunch). They provide some drinks for free with the food. Any smoothies or alcoholic drinks you must pay for and there is a bar on the boat for that. They provide rash gaurds, towels, fins, snorkels, various floatation devices (noodles, boards, etc...). I did start feeling a little sea sick and missed out the last 15 min of water time before we headed back. So I would recommend taking some Dramamine if you get motion sickness.

The weather on the day was wonderful, and I had a truly amazing experience. I was deeply moved by the sunset sinking into a sea of clouds and the starry sky resembling a planetarium, with the Milky Way that words cannot express. Experiencing the great nature of the Big Island of Hawaii created a beautiful memory for me.

見渡す限りの雲海に沈む太陽やプラネタリウムのような星空と天の川には言葉では表現できない位の感動を覚えました。

Joe was amazing!!! His passion for astronomy was so refreshing and we loved his poem at the end.

Absolutely amazing experience! Swam with so many dolphins; loved every moment. We were the only ones booked on to the boat so we literally had our own private tour! Our guide was lovely and gave us great information and stories about the island. We also got lots of time to snorkel and even saw two white tip reef sharks! Would definitely recommend this tour!

This is an absolutely terrific tour and worth every penny. Our family has visited the Big Island many times but we learned so much from our energetic and knowledgable tour guide, Kevin. Absolutely adored the gorgeous candy facility stop on the way to the volcano. This store is beautiful and we ended up purchasing client gifts which were efficiently ordered and shipped back to the mainland. The dinner stop at the Kilauea Lodge was amazing. I ordered a Cosmopolitan cocktail which was presented just as chic and lovely as any found in a Five Star hotel bar. Good meal enjoyed in a cozy spot among new friends. Back to the night lava viewing at the volcano which was utterly amazing. The warm coats and flashlights provided by Veltra made the experience even more enjoyable.
Last but not least I must give kudlos to Kevin, our tour guide. This man has truly done his homework and is passionate about educating his guests about the gorgeous Island of Hawaii. Thank you, Kevin for making each and every one of us feel important.

GREAT TOUR!

We had a great time with Chanda and the captain. They honored our reservation even though we were the only two.

We saw 3-4 huge female manta rays that came up and brushed up against us. Not counting all the schools of fish! And hot cocoa when we were done was icing on the cake.

Looking forward to the next time!

I used this for my honeymoon! Seeing the manta rays up close was truly moving! Personally, even though I took motion sickness medication, the time spent searching for manta rays at the snorkeling spot was long, and the strong winds and rough waves made me feel seasick... Even while watching the manta rays, the waves were rough and I got nauseous. It felt like I barely managed to take some photos.

For those who get motion sickness, it might be better to eat dinner after it's over. Also, I think it's good to take extra motion sickness medication...

ハネムーンで使用しました！マンタが本当に間近で！感動でした！
個人的には、酔い止めを飲んだのにシュノーケリング地点に到着してマンタを探している時間が長く、また風が強く波が激しかったので船酔いに…マンタを見ている最中も波が荒く酔ってしまって。やっとの思いで写真が撮れたって感じです。
乗り物酔いをする人は夕食は終わってから食べた方がいいかもです。そして、酔い止め多めが良いかと…思います。

It was my first kayaking experience under the guidance of the staff, and I managed to make it to the open water without capsizing. I also enjoyed snorkeling in the beautiful waters of Hawaii Island. Although I didn't encounter any dolphins, it was a wonderful experience! Thank you!

スタッフの方の指導の下、初めてのカヤック体験でしたがどうにか転覆せずに沖まで行くことが出来て、綺麗なハワイ島の海でシュノーケリングも楽しめて、イルカには逢えなかったけど、とてもいい経験になりました！ありがとうございました！

The tour was great. They picked us up from the hotel on time, and then we headed to the summit of Mauna Kea. The break time at the Onizuka Center was just right, and we were able to spend more time at the summit than I expected, allowing us to see a beautiful sunset. My two daughters, who were with us, seemed to have no issues with altitude sickness, but my wife and I experienced slight dizziness and drowsiness after walking a bit. However, it wasn't a major problem at all.

The stargazing along the way wasn't as impressive since the moon was out, so I wouldn't say it was "the first time I've ever seen this!!", but the guide from another group (Mac-chan) provided excellent explanations, and we were able to see various constellations. Additionally, they took photos of us with the starry sky in the background using my camera, which made for a wonderful keepsake.

So far, everything was good. After the tour, I requested the download link for the photos taken by the guide, as indicated on the business card I received, but I haven't received any response at all. I've sent multiple messages, even changing the sending address, but still no reply. As a result, I can't download the photos we took, nor can I even view them.

This is quite disappointing.

ツアーは良かったです。定刻どおりホテルに迎えに来ていただいて、その後、マウナケア山頂に向かいました。オニズカセンターでの休憩時間も丁度よく、また、山頂での時間も思ったよりたくさん確保できて、きれいな夕陽を見ることができました。気になっていた高山病は、同行した娘二人は何の問題もなかったようですが、私や妻は少し歩いたりすると軽くめまいがしたり眠気が出たりしました。が、全然大きな問題ではなかったです。途中の星空観察は、月が出ていたので正直なところ「生まれて初めて見た！！」と言うほどではなかったですが、他グループのガイド（マッちゃん）の解説が素晴らしく、いろいろな星座を見ることができました。また、自分が持参したカメラで星空バックで撮影もしてくれて、大変良い記念になりました。
で、ですよ。ここまでは良いのです。
ツアーが終わった後、名刺をもらって書いてあるとおりガイドさんにとってもらった写真のダウンロード用PSWの連絡をお願いしたのですが、全然レスがありません。発信元のアドレスを変えたりして何度何度も送ったのですが、それでもレス無しなのです。ですので、とってもらった写真はダウンロードできないどころか、見ることもできません。
これはちょっと頂けないなあ。

I was really able to swim with dolphins! On the day I participated, we encountered dolphins right after the boat left the port. I was surprised to see dolphins swimming in such a place! Under the guidance of Daisuke, who loves dolphins, we positioned the boat well and entered the water, but it was challenging to avoid splashing when entering. Timing for the dolphins to come was also tricky, so it seems important to keep your face in the water and look around while you're in the sea. There were two divers, but I think practicing to swim to some extent beforehand would allow you to swim more with the dolphins. The baby dolphins were jumping on the surface and were incredibly cute! Above all, when I heard the dolphins' voices underwater, it felt mystical. I can't guarantee it, but they really work hard to help you swim with the dolphins, so I believe it's definitely worth participating if you want to swim with them!

本当にイルカと泳ぐことができました！
今回参加した日は港から船が出たすぐの部分でイルカに会うことができました。こんなところで自然のイルカが泳いでるの！？とビックリしました。イルカ大好きダイスケさんの指示のもと船を良い部分に付けて海に降りるのですが、着水時に水しぶきが出ないようにしなければいけずそれが難しかったです。イルカが来るタイミングも難しいので海にいるときは常に顔を水につけてキョロキョロすることが大事みたいです。ダイバーさんは二人いましたがある程度泳げるように練習しておくとよりイルカと泳げると思います。イルカは赤ちゃんイルカがたくさん水面を跳ねててとても可愛かったです！何より海の中でイルカの声を聞けたときは神秘的なものを感じました。絶対とは言いませんがイルカと泳げるようかなり頑張ってくれるのでイルカと泳ぎたい方はぜひ参加する価値ありだと思います！

We were able to enjoy ourselves fully as adults because the staff also took care of the children and grandmother. I'm grateful to the wonderful staff. We had the chance to meet many dolphins and had enough time to swim, creating the best memories!

First of all, it was fun heading out to sea while watching the sunset sink into the ocean! We stopped the boat and waited for it to get dark, and then it was time to go underwater! I was so happy when 2 to 3 large mantas came close to us. On the way there, there were a few people who got seasick, so motion sickness medication is a must. I forgot to bring my motion sickness medication for the return trip, so I ended up feeling nauseous on the way back. Also, it gets really cold on the return trip, so I think it's essential to have clothes that you can easily change into or warm clothing on the boat.

まず、海に沈む夕日を見ながら沖へ向かって行くのが楽しかったです！そして船を停めて暗くなるのを待ち、いざ水中へ！とても大きなマンタが2〜3枚来てくれてとっても近くまで来てくれてすごく嬉しかったです。行きの船では船酔いしている方が何名か居たので酔い止めは必須です。私は帰りの酔い止めを持参し忘れた為に帰りは気持ち悪くなってしまいました。そして帰りはすごく寒くなるので船の上で簡単に着替えられる様な服や防寒着は必須だと思いました。

Amidst the uncertain weather forecast, the clouds miraculously cleared, allowing us to enjoy a beautiful starry sky! The sunset was also incredibly beautiful. I felt like I was purified by the unique Sun Power of the Big Island.

微妙な天気の予想の中、奇跡的に雲が晴れ、綺麗な星空を堪能できました！サンセットも抜群の綺麗さ。ハワイ島独特のSun Powerを浴び、浄められたかな。

The sunset was wonderful. The guide's service spirit was also excellent, and I was able to take many lovely memory photos.

とにかくサンセットが良かった。ガイドさんのサービス精神も素晴らしく、素敵な思い出写真もたくさん撮ってもらうことができました。

Just me with my two grown sons, amazing experience! Got great footage on our go-pro. Very glad I took 2 bonine beforehand, no motion sickness for me. My other son only took 1 bonine and had to cut out 10 mins early but enjoyed the view from the boat. Crew friendly & helpful:)

I participated in a submarine tour, and it was a really great experience!

今回、Hawaii island だけだったんですが、とても ゆっくり 出来ました。
潜水艦のツアーに参加してとても良い経験させていただきましたよ！

I used to dive every year, but recently I switched to snorkeling, and I was told that I should definitely see the manta rays, so I participated. For the first 30 minutes, the manta rays didn't appear, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to endure the seasickness. When the manta finally showed up, it circled right beneath us multiple times, and it was an incredible experience. It's amazing that such a large creature doesn't attack. Once it appeared, it stayed right below us the whole time.

However, since I was feeling seasick, I returned to the boat earlier than the others. On the way out, we were given either canned ginger ale, juice, or water along with snacks. I chose the ginger ale, thinking I had to drink it all, and I ended up feeling too full. For those who are prone to seasickness, I recommend taking your drink back with you and just sipping a little of what you brought.

Also, for those who have never snorkeled before, I think it would be a bit difficult unless you practice in the sea first. If you're prone to seasickness, I think it's better to sign up for a tour that departs from in front of the Sheraton Hotel.

ダイビングを毎年していた人が、この頃はシュノーケルに変えて、その中でもマンタだけは見た方がよいというので、参加しました。マンタが最初30分ぐらい現れず、船酔いもしていたので、気持ち悪くて耐えられるか心配でした。やっと現れたマンタは、何度も私たちの体の真下を旋回して、それはそれはすごい経験でした。あんなに体が大きいのに、襲わないなんて不思議です。一度現れた後は、ずっと真下にいました。
　ただ船酔いをしていたので、他の人よりは早く船に戻りました。行きに缶のジンジャエールか、ジュースか水とお菓子をもらうのですが、私はジンジャエールをもらい、最後まで飲まなきゃいけないと思って、全部飲んだら胃が満杯になってしまったのだと思います。酔いやすい人は、それは持ち帰って、自分が持ってきた飲み物を少しだけ飲むことをお勧めします。
　またシュノーケルを一度もやったことがない人は、海で練習してからでないと、ちょっと無理だと思います。
　酔いやすい人は、シェラトンホテルの前で見ることになるので、そちらから出るツアーを申し込んだ方がよいと思います。

It seems that the encounter rate with manta rays is almost 100%. We were able to see them perfectly during our time there. The manta rays showed themselves more than ten times, and on one occasion, we even saw their underside.

On the way to the dive site, we encountered a pod of dolphins and were very satisfied to see them jumping out of the water.

Our guide, Musashi, was handsome and kind. I would love to do this again if the opportunity arises.

マンタとの遭遇率はほぼ100%のようです。
私たちの時もバッチリ見れました。マンタは10回以上姿を見せてくれ、うち1回はお腹側も見れました。
ポイントに行くまでの間には、イルカの群れに遭遇して、海面を飛び跳ねる姿も見れて大満足です。

ガイドのムサシさんはイケメンで親切でした。

On November 6th, I participated with a friend, just the two of us. We are in our late 30s. It was my first time kayaking, but I was able to paddle smoothly right away. I thought we would be experiencing it in a bay, but we headed straight out into the open sea. I was a bit surprised, but I didn't feel scared at all.

I also enjoyed snorkeling in a place where no one else was around. You can get some really cool photos too. I just wish we could have seen some dolphins! It was perfect.

You might want to be a little careful about sunburn and seasickness. :) But it was very refreshing and fun!

11月6日に、友人と２人で参加しました。30代後半です。
カヤックは初めてでしたが、すぐにスイスイと漕ぐことができました。湾の中で体験する感じかなぁと思っていたら、がんがん大海原へ。ちょっとびっくりしましたが、こわい思いは全くしなかったです。
誰もいない場所でのシュノーケリングも満喫。かっこいい写真もたくさん撮ってもらえますよ。あとは、イルカに会えたら！カンペキでした。
日焼けと船酔いにはちょっと注意かも。:) でもとても気持ちよくて楽しかったです。

We thoroughly enjoyed thrilling rafting and beautiful snorkeling in the ocean under wonderful weather! The service from the captain and crew was absolutely five-star! In the morning, we were able to swim leisurely before the snorkeling spot at Kealakekua Bay became crowded with boats, and we got to see and even touch many dolphins up close. The sea, sparkling like a jewel, was also very satisfying. My kids (especially my son) were thrilled, saying the captain was an excellent navigator and super cool, and that this was the most fun they’ve ever had on a trip. They can’t wait to join again next time!

★ Sunscreen is a must. Sunglasses and a lightweight beach towel are also essential. It gets quite chilly while swimming. You might not need a hat as it could blow away. Since large bags cannot be taken on the boat, it’s best to bring only what you need in a compact backpack. Sandals are sufficient for footwear. My younger child (9) can swim but borrowed a life jacket from the reception office (which is free, of course). My older child (13) got tired and borrowed a noodle (a floating tube like macaroni) halfway through. Having a noodle makes it easier. There isn’t a specific place to change after returning, so you’ll either stay in your swimsuit or change in the rental car. There was a restaurant and restroom where we disembarked! ★

素晴らしいお天気の中、スリリングなラフティングと美しい海のシュノーケルを存分に楽しみました！なんと言っても、サービス満点なキャプテン＆クルーは５つ星間違いなし！朝、ケアラケクア湾のシュノーケルスポットが船で溢れ返ってしまう前にゆっくりと泳げましたし、沢山のイルカを触れるほど間近で見ることもできました。宝石のような輝きの海にも大満足でした。子供たち（特に息子）はキャプテンは操縦がうまくてめちゃくちゃかっこいいし今回の旅で一番楽しかったと大喜びでした。次回も参加したいと大はしゃぎです！　

★日焼け止めは必須です。サングラス、それからバスタオルは薄手の物でも必ず持った方が良いです。泳いでいるとだいぶ冷えます。帽子は飛ばされちゃいますのでいらないかと。ボートに大きな荷物は載せられないので、コンパクトなリュックに必要なものだけ持っていくと良いでしょう。履物はサンダルで十分です。　
下の子（9）は泳げますが受付事務所でライフジャケットを借りました（もちろん無料です）上の子（13）疲れて途中でヌードル（マカロニみたいな浮くチューブ）を借りました。ヌードルがあると楽です。帰りに着替える場所は特に無いので、水着のままかレンタカーの中で着替えるかになります。下船した所にレストランとトイレがありましたよ★
