Most Enjoyable Way to Experience the Island.

From local coffee to black sand beaches to wineries to lava flows to lava tunnels to a charming sunset. The tour guys were knowledgeable and so kind and a accommodating. Shared their local stories and made sure all were comfortable. If you are looking to explore the island and don’t have a lot of time — this is the tour for you. If you want to see everything and get tips on where to go from some locals — this is the tour for you. Highly recommend 10/10.

Evening Volcano Tour from Hilo - Kalapana Village, Black Sand Beach & Dinner
Could have spent a few days here!

Dreu is a man of many hats, he’s hilarious and you have to hear it to believe the incredible lungs he has! (Have to join his tour to know what that means )
Many stops we made, random people would join us just to listen to Dreu. And they would remark how funny he is.
We had a coffee farm tour, saw many highlights of volcanoes National park, and did stargazing! It was amazing!

Bucket List Tour
Reviewed by: Kecia, 2022/04/06Best day ever! I've always wanted to go to a coffee farm and it was a delicious way to start the day. Driving around the island, stopping at the black sand beach and the bakery was super fun. By far the best part though was seeing the volcano at night and the stars. Highly recommend this trip. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and made a long day super fun.

The best for me was the black sand. Prior to this trip I had never heard of black sand or even that it existed. To sum up the tour, I would go again. It was worth the money I paid for it. There is nothing negative that I could find.

Providing critical information and Hawaian History, mixed in with a little humor. Made it the best tour I have had to date. My grand kids said it was their favorite thing we did on our visit. Ages 11 and 14, you should know we snorkled with a tour. Parasailed and more. So Drew you win the best award from all of us. Thank you for a happy memory weshare and treasure forever.

Perfect tour of the island!
Reviewed by: Kerry, 2022/03/02This tour was perfectly laid out. We covered a lot of territory, but it all went smoothly. The tour included breakfast and lunch, which were both excellent. Loved seeing a coffee plantation, winery, Black San Beach with turtles, the volcano crater, and waterfalls. Our guide, Derek, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent information throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour. I was traveling with a child, and she also enjoyed all our stops.

Aaron was truly brilliant and super knowledgeable about everything from Hawaiian history to language and culture to geology and astronomy. His easy going personality put the group at ease, and we had fun connecting with the rest of the guests while learning a ton! The day flew by and we would do it all over again. Ask for Aaron!

Absolutely amazing!

Our tour guide, Bryce, was a font of knowledge and made the day even more special. Every comfort was thought of from a clean, spacious Mercedes van, to rain jackets and warm parkas. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat!

From the coffee making process to the history of King Kamehameha. The night tour of lava view was great. Although you don’t actually see the lava itself you do see the red glow. It was a long day of touring but Aaron made it very enjoyable. Don’t miss the lava tube walk.

Thanks for taking care of the special request on our food as well. Food wise- it was very well organized and catered. Breakfast and coffee at the coffee plantation was very apt. Wine tasting and Lunch was very well paired. Snacks and soda at the waterfalls was cool! Raincoats and umbrella was very helpful when it started raining while heading to the volcano view point. Superbly planned and catered to everyone’s needs. We will definitely recommend our friends and family.

Amazing experience!
Reviewed by: Amanda , 2021/12/02Derek had so much knowledge and an amazing personality! He made the tour personal and fun! This tour really takes you through some of the coolest parts of this island. Coffee farms, bakeries, black sand beaches with sea turtles, volcano glow, lava tubes, the most spectacular view of the stars, and so much more. It’s well worth the experience. The food was not so great, but everything else was beyond amazing so it made up for it. 10/10 would recommend this tour!

There are simply too many good things about this tour - from the stop at Black Sands (breathtaking) to the 3 course dinner that was TO DIE FOR and all local!
I would recommend this to anyone!!

I threw up because of road sick and maybe too much caffeine and food coma in the morning (I assumed - I ate my bf&coffee b4 the tour started and ate their bf & tasted their coffee again). The lady guide took care of me well. Other people in the trip were nice too. Some lady gave me a motion sickness pill and some lady asked me how I was feeling. Thanks!
We went to 6-7 places. I like the black sand beach the most. Walking through the volcano tube was fun. But another volcano attraction was not I expected because we couldn’t get too close to the volcano. It was dangerous Lol. So I couldn’t get a clear pics of the crater.
Big island is a black island (in my opinion) because of dry black lava spreading all over the island.
They picked me up in the morning and dropped me off at the Kona airport in the evening. I flew for a day trip. Call them when you arrived at the airport. They need a reminder. I think my tour guides were Gary and Gabbie. I bought this trip to celebrate my bday. Great serviceThank you!
