Kayaking to the Dragon's Throat, Snorkelling and Enjoying our Lead Guides: Winfield and Olivia

This is the very first kayaking ocean tour my husband and I have ever been on. It definitely helps if you have experience in rowing a kayak. My husband had plenty experience in rowing a kayak in Canada even if it was only on rivers and lakes. We totally appreciated the kokua and patience from our lead guides, Winfield & Olivia. We were late joining our kayak tour. We appreciated Winfield's follow up call as we were running late due to tire pressure issues on our car rental and needed to check it out before we got to the keauhou Bay. When we showed up, we were pleasantly greeted right away by Olivia who stayed behind to ensure we had life jackets and that all our valuables were safely locked up in their truck. Olivia led us by kayak to the group and we were able to take a personal guided history and tour of the dragon's throat cave Winfield because the waters were starting to get a bit choppy. We later were anchored to our guides along with other kayakers to enjoy some snorkeling along the reef which was truly amazing. Somehow when our kayaks were anchored, I must've lost my balance getting back into our kayak because shortly after that, our kayak ended up tipping into the ocean along with my phone. Winfield was very kind to fish it out of the ocean and Olivia quickly poured regular bottled water on my my phone but u/f my phone is still dying a slow salt
corrosion death. The good news is that we were still able to obtain the data of the beautiful photos and videos of our adventure. We loved learning the history and sharing great camraderie with Winfield and Olivia who are expert kayakers and tour guides. They made us feel very safe and at ease the whole time. Wilfield also helped calm me down after we tipped and made sure I was ok after rescuing my phone. We also enjoyed snacks and drinks and when we got back to shore, Winfield cut us fresh pineapple and we enjoyed eating that. Thank you Winfield and Olivia for a fantastic adventure!

A fantastic experience

What a great experience! Kayaking on the ocean, whale watching, entering a cave and wrapping it up with a bit of snorkeling! Jasmine was a great guide and her confidence on the open waters really enhanced our adventure. It’s definitely a morning well spent!

Life in the Ocean - Good Vibes Olly

This was an awesome first time experience for my wife and I. Brent and Jesse were great at having us engage with them in the activities and provided safety instructions to a tee that made it very clear and easy to understand and follow. Jesse provided us with some history along the way that made for fun facts. Brent did a great job at making me feel comfortable jumping off the cliff which was my very first time doing any type of cliff jumping and super glad I did! Snorkeling was super fun with clear and warm water. Would definitely do it again and highly recommend! Oh, and special shout out to the owner Mike for making the booking process swift and easy! Thank you guys!!

I was nervous because I hadn't kayaked on the ocean before, but Brent & Jesse kept us safe while making the day SO MUCH FUN! Brent even took my son up a 32 foot cliff to jump off! The sea cave was cool, but the snorkeling was fantastic. So beautiful and fun!! Thanks guys for a great day!

A day in paradise

Jasmine was our guide. She’s so fun and kind and the boats were great. We had plenty of time to snorkel, the coast was lovely, and it was all we could have wanted. We skipped the Cliff diving because the surf was rough. But the sunshine and company, fish and laughter made it all worthwhile.

Jasmine, Brett, Alex and Micah did a fantastic job leading our group. We didn't see any dolphins, but we still had a great time. I highly recommend this. be prepared, because the web site is very misleading. Parking is very limited and you may have to walk a long distance after parking.

Awesome time!

My husband, kids (11 and 13) and I ended our time in Hawaii with the morning kayak/snorkel trip with Ocean Safari. It ended up being our favorite adventure of our time on the Big Island. The trip includes a kayaking on the ocean and in to caves (weather permitting), snorkeling and the option for cliff jumps if you're brave enough. No experience needed! The guides tell you all you need to know about kayaking. They supply the snorkeling equipment, life vest, water/snacks and share the tips you need to know (like your sunglasses do not float so leave your favorites behind). So bring yourself and slather on the sunscreen for a great time!

Shout out to Alex and Brent, our guides. They were fabulous!

Beautiful Scenery

Water was calm so kayaking was relatively easy. Water was beautiful alongside the black lava rock cliffs. We saw a large sea cave and those who were brave enough were able to jump off the top of it into the water. I’m guessing it was a 40ft jump. We also had a smaller cliff to jump from I’m guessing about 25ft tall. The snorkeling was good too again in calm waters. Very enjoyable and would do again. Wear plenty of sunscreen.

King Kayak Hawaii - Keauhou Bay Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour

Fun, adventurous, beautiful scenery

We had a great time kayaking in the ocean. The scenery was absolutely beautiful along the coast. The weather was warm and the ocean water was refreshing. The kids enjoyed the cliff jumping. The sea cave was cool and the waves were moving us inside which was wild but fun. In all this was a great event. Our guide was friendly, informative and kept us safe.

We had a wonderful time! We had 5 of us from 5 to 28 years of age and everyone had a great time. The views were magnificent and they were great with our 10 year old and telling her how to row. The guides were fun and knew their stuff. 10/10 recommend.

That was a workout making our way back after the wind picked up, but it made it more exciting and fun.
Lava cave was great! Skipped Cliff jumping, but looked pretty awesome!
Very relaxing just floating while having a drink and some snacks.

Ocean Safari's Kona Kayak Adventure 2-Hour Dolphin Watching Tour

Underwhelming

We were told to check in at 6:30. Our guide showed up at 7:15 and we were getting into the water at about 7:45. We didn't kayak out very far before stopping. We saw one small manta ray while we were in the water. We were at that same bay on another tour and asked if dolphins are seen there frequently. They said they're rarely seen in that bay. To be fair, if we'd seen dolphins this tour wouldn't have seemed so underwhelming, and I know you're not guaranteed to see them. Also, we got pretty sea sick and asked to go back a bit early. So, just do your research on the best areas before booking.

サーフィンを英語で教えてもらいながらしました。すぐ波に乗れて楽しかったです。写真も撮ってくれました。
ラッシュガードは長袖をおすすめします。私は半袖だったので、日焼けしてしまいました。

オフィスで誓約書にサインしたり、パドリングや立ち方を教わりました。

レッスン場所までの移動は各々でということだったので、TAXiを呼ぼうと思ったら、一緒にレッスンに参加していたLAのアメリカ人の御家族が乗せてくれました。日本のことが好きみたいで、パパさんは日本語が書かれていたTシャツを来てました。運が良かった！

Such a great tour to end our vacation. Kevin was great. Super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. He took us to check out some sea caves, cliff jumping and great spots for snorkeling. Super relaxed adventure. Highly recommend!

ハワイ島パラセイリングは2回目でしたが、サポートの2人も感じが良くて良かったです。　母は初めてだったのですが、なかなか緊張はしていたものの、
空高く自分が飛んでいる状態を楽しめたようです。
80の父に、76の母と年齢をかまわず楽しめるので良いかと思います。

早朝の体験で、どうせならと一番高い体験でした。天気にも恵まれてとても気持ちよかったです。私達夫婦と、もう1組の2組での体験でしたので、9：00前に終わり、そのままアトランティス(潜水艦)も行けました。予想より早く終わったので、待ち時間が出来てしまいました。
パラセイリングの窓口と隣同士なので、とても気楽に体験出来ます。２つのオプショナルを行なっても昼頃には、終わり午後は別に遊びや買い物が出来るのも良いですよ。

パラセイリングから見たマウララニ方面
ボートとの距離です。結構離れてます。

天高く浮かぶ！！

9時30分に事務所にチェックイン。スタッフに英語は通じませんが、日本語の説明パンフレットみたいなのはありました。
桟橋からボートに。
今回同じボートに乗り合わせたのはカップル2組、親子1組（8歳ぐらいの男の子とお父さん）、おじいさん（70歳ぐらいか？）3人組。つまり、4回のパラシュート上昇。各組15分ぐらいでしょうか。
日本人は私達だけでしたが、お互い声をかけあい、楽しさを共有できました。
浮いた瞬間や戻ってきた時のみんなの表情の変化（不安、驚き、喜び・・）がとても面白かった。
浮き上がった瞬間から最高に気持ちがよく、上空は無音で…感動でした…。
うまくボートを操作し、足が海に入る状態にパラシュートを低くしてくれたりして、楽しいことも！
他のメンバーが上空に上がっているあいだも、明るい音楽のもとスピードボートを楽しめました。（こっちはこっちで気持ちがいい。）
このアクティビティに参加できてよかったです。

子供がちょっと器具に引っかかり気味で痛みを感じていたので、浮上前にチェックしてもらえたら、尚良かった。

過去に飛んだ時と同じ器具なので、これはスタッフの差？と感じた次第。

楽しい空中散歩！

カメハメハビーチホテルの中に受付ブースがあります。署名をし、注意事項のビデオを見てからボートに向かいます。
モーターボートに乗り込み沖に出ますが、青くて綺麗な空と海、それだけでも最高です。乗客は6名で、2人一組ごとにライフベスト、安全ベルトをつけて準備します。パラシュートが開きあっという間に空高く上がります。揺れは全く感じません。カイルアコナの町がよく見えます。フライト時間は10分ほどでした。
事前にガイドさんから、戻る時に海に着水したいか聞かれます。NOと返事をしたのですが、万が一濡れたときのためにと下に水着を着て靴を脱いで飛んだので、ワザと水につけられてしまいました！遊び心満載のガイドさんでした。
普段経験出来ないことで、家族全員大満足でした。

Wonderful time. Had Kevin and Andre as our guides. They were wonderful and knowledgeable about the area. We were in very good hands. I didn’t listen and left my Apple Watch on when cliff jumping and sure enough it came off. I was sad but it was really my own fault. Kevin took pity on me and was able to find it!! Absolutely above and beyond what I would have expected. Great excursion, lots of fish, fun facts. We felt safe and well looked after the whole time. 10/10 would recommend.

早朝に予約しました。２回目です。
ハワイでは7時台ってかなり早いほうですが、8時半には終わるのでその後の予定は好きなことできるし割引もきいて良かったです。
お昼の回より暑さもマシだと思います。
肝心の内容ですが、風も気持ちよく、本当に空を飛んでいる感じがして景色も良く素晴らしかったです。
ガイドさんもキャプテンも、英語オンリーですがわかりやすく説明してくれて、終始笑顔で過ごせました。
着地前には足を海につけていいか聞いてくれたのでお願いし、海水に浸かったのですがそれまた気持ちよかったです。

フライトポイントまで船に乗る数分、また他の参加者を待つ時間があるので船酔いする人は酔い止めがあるといいと思います。私は少し酔いました。
それでもまた参加したいと思えるアクティビティです。

先一昨日に天候不良でキャンセルになった。ムスメがどうしてもというので1日レンタカーを追加してでも振り替えた。
体験後、やってよかったの一言。した人生しなかった人生。できるチャンスがあるならぜひ体験すべきだな、と思った。
思わぬレンタカー代出費もあったが、ハワイの運転がうまくなったからよし！
