not very impressed
Reviewed by: Oliver, 2024/03/29The boat was comfortable, the captain was friendly and knowledgeable. We got a text in the morning saying that visibility was poor... and it was. We didn't see much. I don't feel like it was worth the price. Maybe a beverage, a snack or a little souvenir could have been included for the $50 we paid.

Most Amazing
Reviewed by: Questing Beast, 2023/12/13Fun and exciting. Nice view of the ocean and beaches. Saw lots of fish, a green turtle, an eel, and amazing coral. Staff was very knowledgeable. Of the two glass bottom trips I took, this was by far my favorite. was the one with the most fish.

Outstanding fun! With air conditioning!

Glass Bottom boat tour
Reviewed by: Angel, 2023/08/19The crew and view was amazing! You can see A-Bay at its best. Blue waters, sea turtles and beautiful fish. Calm waters and blue skies with shade. Kids will absolutely live this short and safe tour. Bring your swimsuits for afterwards and enjoy the sandy coastline. Plenty of trees, restrooms. The Marriott has a walking trail with fish ponds too! Mahalo, Angel

This is a family owned business which is what we wanted. They are professional, friendly, engaging & interactive with all age groups. We had a blast….and so will you! Amazing experience- great guides

The guides were great and answered all our questions while expertly navigating the reef to make sure we saw a ton of fish. I was skeptical initially, but sooooo worth it and a ball for all ages (1.5 -70+).

So so so worth it!

Can't Miss Attraction at A-Bay!

We had a frustrating experience earlier with snorkeling and we were happy to have an opportunity to see the reefs and the fish from the comfort of a boat. We even got to see some sea turtles under the boat! We also thought that the price for the cruise was more reasonable than many of the attractions in Hawaii. After the cruise we went hiking on the beautiful Ala Kahakai Trail which extends north from A-Bay. The glass bottom boat cruise is a can't miss experience on the Big Island!

Great family fun!
Reviewed by: Brett, 2023/01/30Perfect family friendly glass bottom boat tour. At ~35 min, perfect length for our four-year old.
Staff very friendly, marine expert was great at pointing out the different species and interesting traits.
Tour also launches from a very nice, calm protected beach which would be worth visiting again, as the calm waters would allow even the youngest children the chance to walk and splash in the water with maybe a few small fish swimming by.
