Heli was great - cruise only fair

The heli flight was absolutely awesome. My husband has a love of heli's so when I booked this flight for us I booked us the upgrade to front seats. The only issue was the weight restriction for the front seats. We needed to lose approx 50 pounds between us in the 6 weeks leading up to the flight to make the weight restriction. Through lots of hard work and effort we managed to do this. We were "almost" very annoyed when we received a phone call the day prior to the flight saying that it would need to be changed to a later flight on the same day and we would no longer have front seats, due to not enough people having booked our morning flight. We explained to the Veltra consultant what we had been through to ensure we were within the weight restrictions for the front seats, and that we had booked this in good faith. After some negotiations she rang to let us know the flight would go ahead. When we got there we found they had changed the heli to a smaller heli to accommodate the smaller no of passengers, which was fine with us.
On the day of the actual flight there was extra security involved and some no fly zones in place due to President Obama being in town. The flight itself was great even with the adjusted flight path - the smaller heli was the "doors off" heli, but with the doors on. The only small irritation - we had lost all this weight to be within the required weight range, and they did not even weigh us to check this!
The sunset cruise that we went on was "ok"... the food was good, and we got some lovely sunset pictures, but we found that the air conditioning was set way too cold on the deck where the entertainment was located, and no-one really stayed there to watch it. Also they did not have any English Breakfast or Black tea - only Coffee or Earl Grey tea. For a couple of Aussies traveling, this was almost sacrilege.

Awesome afternoon

We had an awesome afternoon doing the ziplines. Highly suggest that you bring/wear insect repellent as the mosquitoes were quite bad. We also didn't realise that Kualoa Ranch is the film location for many tv shows and movies, so we felt like we got a bonus with the bus ride in and the info from the driver of all the famous shows. The guides were great - very informative and clearly enjoyed their jobs.

Fun morning

Was lots of fun - the divers/guides with us were great. Only negative was that it was a little choppy on the day and my husband ended up getting seasick while waiting for others to complete their turn. This though ended up a positive as it helped with bringing more fish closer to the boat! Next time we would be more prepared and take seasick tablets beforehand. Also I had tried scuba diving in the past and had problems "equalizing", thus could not move far from the diving platform. The underwater scooter experience has helped me overcome my previous fears of underwater adventures. An awesome time was had despite the seasickness.

Wicked and Wild Ride

Was lots of fun but harder than it looked. The seat was incredibly hard - so much that I ended up with black and blue bruises on the insides of my thighs! not a good look for wearing shorts or bikini in Hawaii... The staff were fantastic and gave lots of directions. Constant guidance and help whilst in flight.
