First, at the exchange window, I was treated poorly, which put me in a terrible mood on my first day in Hawaii. I kept telling myself that it had been five years since my last overseas trip and that I was just out of touch, trying not to get frustrated.

The drivers were all nice people! I recommend the East Oahu route for those who haven't been there before! However, the morning service can get crowded, with standing passengers. I've heard the afternoon is less busy. (There were some places that only stop on certain weekdays in the morning.)

Since my trip focused on shopping, the access to Ala Moana was not very convenient. The Pink Line doesn't come on time, and sometimes it's too full to board, plus there are all sorts of people riding it, so I hardly used it.

I recommend choosing a trolley that fits your travel purpose.

ご自身の旅の目的に合わせて、トロリーを選ぶことをおすすめします。

Thanks to the unlimited ride ticket, I was able to visit various places. The guide was excellent, providing not only information about tourist spots but also interesting stories about the places we passed by, so even in one day, you can gain a solid understanding of Oahu. They introduced us to some of the best places on the island for garlic shrimp and malasadas. We were able to buy fresh local fruits, and the pineapples were particularly sweet, ripening more than those in Japan. We could choose between flavored and unflavored macadamia nuts and decided after sampling them. This was perfect for first-time sightseeing in Oahu.

It was lots of fun… the company we chose was great… easy pickup and return to your hotel area… people were super friendly and the breakfast part of it was a great option to choose… all good… the hike was awesome… be prepared though … water and light clothing… we went in August and it was very warm out even before sunrise. Since we are visiting various places, the time spent at each location is relatively short, so it may not be suitable for those who want to enjoy things thoroughly. Personally, I was satisfied with the content. In particular, our guide, Daisuke, was friendly and explained things clearly in both English and Japanese. It seems there are various tours available, and I was interested in other tours as well. I think it's a tour I could recommend if someone asks me. I was a bit confused about the tipping, which is not common for Japanese people, but it would be appreciated if it could be included in the price. With that in mind, I can understand putting even one or two dollars into the tip box with a good feeling. Given the current weak yen, when they say 20% of the tour price for tips, it feels very expensive.

あと、時間通りに停留所にいてもかなりおくれてくるのでそれも少し気になりました。
あとコロナ以前にはなかったら東オアフ絶景ラインに60代の親のみ参加しましたが、それはとてもよかったらしいです。そのバスが1周３時間程だったので、歩くこともなく景色を堪能できてよかったらしいです。
しっかり時刻や行き先を計画して利用するとよいかもですが、小さい子供もいたので、レンタカーのほうがよかったかもとおもいました。

I purchased a 7-day pass. At the time of purchase, it was about 13,000 yen, which is just under 1,900 yen per day. It's quite expensive. If you have a JCB card, the Pink Line is free, so it’s worth considering how much you will use the other lines. I smoothly exchanged my Veltra voucher at the nearest LeaLea Lounge. The staff at the lounge were very kind.

I took the East Oahu Scenic Line, which wasn't available before. It was a long 3-hour drive with a restroom break (it was a park restroom, but it was acceptable, and there was toilet paper). We stopped at various points like Hanauma Bay, Halona Blowhole, and Sandy Beach for photo opportunities, and driving in the open-air trolley was quite refreshing. It feels like I could get my money's worth just from this route.

I was looking forward to the Ala Moana Sunset Drive, but unfortunately, there wasn't a beautiful sunset. Well, it’s nature, so it can’t be helped. That day, the roads were heavily congested, and what usually takes about 60 minutes took 90 minutes. Those with dinner reservations should be cautious.

The Malama Line, which tours downtown, had a significantly changed route compared to five years ago. 以前はなかった東オアフ絶景ラインに乗車しました。３時間のロングドライブで途中トイレタイム（公園のお手洗いでしたが何とか許容範囲。紙もありました）もありました。ハナウマ湾、ハロナ潮吹き岩、サンディビーチ等ところどころ写真タイムで下車しながら開放感のあるトロリーでドライブするのはなかなか爽快感がありました。この路線だけで結構元が取れそうな感じです。

アラモアナサンセットドライブを楽しみにしていたのですがきれいな夕焼けにならず残念でした。まぁ自然のことなので仕方ないですが。この日は道路が大渋滞で一周約６０分のところ９０分かかりました。ディナーの予約等されている方は注意です。

ダウンタウン方面を巡るマラマライン、以前（５年前）と大分ルートが変わっていました。カメハメハ大王像、出雲大社は以前は「車窓より見学」でしたが今回は下車しての写真タイムがあったのが良かったです。
また、いずれのラインも以前はドライバーの他に日本語ガイドが乗車していましたが今回はいらっしゃいませんでした。

I was able to visit various places and try a little bit of different foods, which was great. The guide provided information about the tourist spots and the surroundings, which was very helpful. The driver-guide took care of 13 people by himself, and even though I participated alone, I had a lot of fun.

It had been over 10 years since my last visit to Hawaii, and I have a few thoughts to share for those planning to go.

- The satisfaction of the tour can greatly vary depending on the guide. This is purely a matter of luck, but in my case, we had two buses, one with a guide and a driver, while the other had the driver also acting as the guide. There was a speaker located at the front, and if you were sitting in the back, you couldn't hear what was being said. The driver was a native Japanese person, but he spoke quickly and wasn't very articulate, making it hard to hear. Others also mentioned it was difficult to understand, but he said, "I have a lot to talk about, so I have to speak at this speed. This is normal for my hometown. Where are you from? Ah, in your area, people speak slowly," which came off as condescending without any sign of improvement. It was hard to hear until the end. Moreover, he insisted on a tip of around a certain percentage, saying it was fine if it was less, which felt like pressure. 私のところはバス２台で、片方はガイドさん運転手さんの二人体制、こちらは運転手さんがガイドを兼用してました。
スピーカー？が前方席のところにあり、後方に座ってると何を言ってるのか聞こえません。
運転手の方は生粋の日本人でしたが早口で滑舌もそこまでよくないので、聞こえにくいと他の方も言ってましたが「これくらいのスピードでしゃべらないと話すことが沢山あるので。私の出身地ではこれくらいが普通です。どこ出身ですか？‥あぁ、○○地方はゆっくりですからね」と悪びれる様子も改善もなく逆にお客さんをバカにするような発言。最後まで聞きづらかったです。
しかも、最後にチップは○%くらいですね、まぁそれ以下でも構いませんが、とチップ額を強制してくる始末。
聞こえないのはストレスになるので、もしこのガイドさんに当たったときに備えて前方席を狙ってください。

・海側は進行方向右の席
海沿いのドライブが多く、左側は山ばかりで全然楽しくない。
参加される方は何としても右側を死守してください。

他の行程や景色などは大方皆さんと同じです。
個人的にはハレイワが一番つまんなかったです。人が多すぎて大行列で散策時間内ではお店に入れなかったです。
海の景色はとてもきれいでした。

My husband and I recently booked the tickets and shuttle to hike Diamond Head as I was reading how you had to have reservations to hike unless you are local. This is a change since the first time I hiked it when you didn’t have to make reservations. We also didn’t rent a car this visit, so the shuttle was perfect as it dropped us off and picked us up at a designated time. We were given tips on the way there as well as instructions how to make the hike more enjoyable. I highly recommend going with this company as you have three times to choose from to be picked up without the dynamics of reserving tickets or driving there or finding parking which is limited. The shuttle takes you as close to the trailhead as possible

There was a bit of an internal mistake with the tour company, and the guide seemed to have a tough time, but the participants were able to enjoy themselves.

I participated alone, but it was more efficient to visit various places compared to going around on The Bus, and the meals along the way were lively and fun. The group activities during my solo trip to Hawaii were enjoyable.

I also appreciate the service spirit of the female driver.

Our tour guide “D” was so friendly, kind, informative, and very considerate. We had many stops for different tastes of Hawaii. The tasting started with Malasadas from the Leonard’s food truck. We also stopped at a macadamia nut farm that also had this sweet little pearl shop where I bought gifts for my daughters and myself. The best part for me was when we stopped at a beach to try and see turtles and my family did spot some playful ones! We stopped and had garlic shrimp for lunch which was delicious and filling and we ended the day shopping in Haleiwa Town. I think we stopped at like 3 beaches and the Blowhole. It was a whirlwind and a little taste of everything!

Everyone praised the garlic shrimp as delicious. This tour is highly recommended as a one-day course to fully experience the essence of Hawaii.
