We were blessed with very nice weather and felt the impressive submarine and pleasant sea breeze as we moved towards the submarine. Everything was wonderful! It was the best dream-like experience! Both my mother and child were very satisfied, and after getting off, they were excited, saying, "We saw sea turtles! There were so many fish!"

It was a unique world, different from regular snorkeling, almost like a movie. The explanations were in English, delivered by a lively and entertaining host, while my mother and child enjoyed the commentary in Japanese that they had downloaded in advance.

This is a tour that I definitely recommend trying at least once!

This was an excellent start to a seven-day island excursion. Enjoyed every aspect of the journey including the boat ride to and from. The submarine crew did an excellent job of insuring that viewers on both sides of the vessel got to see the same sights. Fish of all size, turtles, and even eels all clearly visible coupled with insightful commentary from a comedic crew member.

We participated with children. The explanations were in English, and we were able to see many fish. We also saw turtles, and the kids were very happy. Please be careful near the seats by the stairs for getting on and off the submarine, as seawater may fall there when disembarking.

My wife and I had a great time. The two guides, captain and turtle-whisperer, were confident, relaxed, and funny. The pick-up location was incredibly convenient for us, near our hotel on the Waikiki beach strip. The ride to the canyon was just 15 minutes, and looking back on the city was breathtaking.

Once there, we distributed masks and floaty-belts and jumped right in! I foolishly wiped off my mask and it clouded up, but the captain was keen to fix it after I brought it to his attention. The turtle-whisperer was around to spot turtles and check in on our snorkelers, but otherwise we were allowed to roam.

There were quite a few other tour boats and snorkel groups at the site, but we were able to still find turtles and fish while staying a bit away from the groups of other snorkelers. We ended up among a school of black fish and had two turtles swim very close to us! Once while my wife and I were holding hands. A highlight of our vacation!

Don't go into this expecting a private/guided tour of the reef. Instead, it's a relaxing transportation to a great snorkel spot, with equipment included. For this price, I highly recommend it.

Me and my husband had a great time. The guys are very prompt with safety and are very accomodating. We saw turtles and other sea creatures too. My husband was not very confident with snorkeling but they helped him out by getting acquainted with the waters and eventually he gained confidence to snorkel and he enjoyed it a lot later on to see sea life.

It was a fun and valuable experience, but I can't help but think that it wasn't that rare of an experience.

The slow pace of travel and seeing sea turtles, which I feel like you can see anywhere in Hawaii, lacked impact as the main attraction.

Of course, it was enjoyable!

On the day of the trip, it was sunny, but there was a bit of a strong wind, and the waves felt high. For those who get seasick, taking motion sickness medication is a must.

We departed on time from the harbor next to Prince Waikiki. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales, but the views of Diamond Head, Waikiki Beach, and the hotels from the sea were beautiful.

The staff were cheerful young men who kindly took photos of each group during the trip. It was also great that we could choose from different time slots: 8:00, 10:30, and 13:00, allowing us to fit it into our schedule.

Crew was great, my family really enjoyed it. Lots of fish to see, my wife seen a turtle and really liked the experience. If you’re not a strong swimmer or out of shape I would suggest not booking. I found swimming against the current hard but my wife and daughter are stronger swimmers than me and had an easier time.

The staff was super friendly and we had a fun time. We were able to see a turtle and lots of fish. They supplied snorkel gear and drinks/soda. Just remember to bring a towel because it can get chilly. Location was easy to access as they are on the beachside of dukes Waikiki. Definitely recommend Manu Kai..

I think this is an activity unique to Hawaii. It's a bit expensive, but I'm very satisfied with the experience. It's interesting to take a boat to the submarine station and switch there. While waiting to board, you can enjoy the beach in front of the Hilton.

Weather and boat were awesome, and the crew were amazing, being informative and making sure all the guests were happy and involved.
This was our second year of touring with this catamaran and even though I do not really like the water, it was fun, relaxing, and thrilling all at the same time.

I participated in a whale watching tour on March 4th. I was torn between a large cruise ship and a smaller one, but I decided to go with the smaller cruise ship, thinking it might get closer to the whales when we spotted them.

At the meeting point, there was no reception, and the staff who were on the returning cruise ship handled the check-in, which left me a bit confused about whether I was in the right place while waiting.

They did move a bit closer, getting within about 100 meters, and I was able to take great videos and photos with my smartphone's 2x zoom.

There were options not just for the five mountains, but also for morning, late morning, and early afternoon, allowing for flexibility in scheduling with other options and making effective use of my time.

Since they are wild whales, I suppose it's understandable, but I could only see them spouting water from a distance and their tails. It was hard to tell whether they were whales or dolphins.

Awesome Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise!

My fiance and I had such a wonderful time on this cruise! It was our first time snorkeling, and we were a little nervous (for fellow first timers, the apparatus feels a little uncomfortable and claustrophobic on the boat, but feels so much better in the water)! However, the whole crew put us at ease and were super patient with us, helping us to get the perfect fit with our goggles and apparatus. Nicole even gave me one of her hair ties when I forgot mine! The lifeguards were great, helping us to find the best spots to watch turtles and fish, taught us a ton, and even dove down to get an octopus for us to pet. They were great about checking on everyone and making sure we were ok, comfortable, and having fun. The music and mai tais were excellent, and everyone was so friendly and sweet. They offered to take pictures without us even asking! This cruise is such an amazing deal for the price, and was for sure one of the highlights of our first trip to Oahu. My only advice is to be near Duke's at the Outrigger early, there is not super clear signage for where the boat comes in, so go to the bathroom and bring everything you might need so you have time to find the boat. Thanks for an amazing time!

The back of Prince Waikiki serves as the meeting place, and everyone gathers there at the scheduled time. The departure was on time as planned.

Inside the boat, music was playing, creating a great atmosphere. Drinks can be purchased at the bar counter on the first floor.

As for the whales, we couldn't see them up close, but we saw many, so I was very satisfied! The day I participated, the weather was cloudy, and the wind was very strong, making the waves quite rough, which caused some people to feel seasick. I think it's a good idea for those who are prone to motion sickness to bring some medication.
