When I first signed up, it was labeled as VIP, so I couldn't imagine the scale of it, but the VIP treatment far exceeded my expectations. Before the show started, we had dinner indoors (while those who weren't VIP had to eat outside). The menu was available in Japanese, and there were staff members who spoke Japanese well, which made me feel very comfortable. I have allergies, so I informed the staff about them at the beginning. Not only did they remove the allergenic items, but they also provided alternatives, and I was really happy with their thorough response.

Dinner lasted about an hour and a half, and after that, the show began. There were various performances, including hula dancing, Michael Jackson songs, and Disney tunes, and everyone in the venue was able to enjoy it together. After the show ended, there was also an opportunity for photos with the cast, so I was able to enjoy it until the very end! I would love to participate again when I go to Hawaii.

After a relaxing time at the beach, my daughter and I joined in, dressed up just a little. (laughs) The dinner was delicious. There was absolutely no stiffness at all. However, I thought it might be a bit disappointing for repeat visitors that there hasn't been any change in the menu for a long time. Also, while it's understandable if the place is full, I would appreciate it if the spacing between tables could be adjusted a bit when there is room available. As for the show, all the performers were wonderful. Presley had a friendly vibe. And above all, the beautiful smiles of the hula dancers, like flowers, always make me feel how amazing it is to come to Hawaii. Michael, who was one of the highlights, sounded just like him from the very first note, and I enjoyed listening nostalgically. I participated with my family of three (my wife, our fifth-grade son, and myself) during the flying stone holiday in October. In the past, I had gone on a company trip to Guam and watched a luau at a certain domestic place, and I wanted to show my family that experience, especially since it included a meal.

◇ Good Points
- About half of the participants were Japanese, which allowed us to somewhat feel like we were abroad in Hawaii.

◇ Disappointing Points
- The show’s production was too tailored to American tastes, making it hard to feel the essence of Hawaii.
- The food was also very American.
* I was expecting luau dishes (like roasted pig), but...
- I opted for the economy course to save money, but the difference in service compared to the higher-tier course was too stark (though this might be due to the price difference).

　※上級コースだと席が前の方というのもあるけど、席への案内も食事（ブュッフェ式）の案内も先。さらにレイが全員にプレゼントされ、我々庶民との差がビジュアル的に一目瞭然で余計な劣等感を感じてしまう。

◇総評
自分としては演出がとても残念だったし、ファイヤーダンスなどは寧ろ「○ワイ○ンズ（某国内）」でみたショーの方が迫力があったかも。
ハワイでもそこそこの値段を払ったつもりなのに、酒 もウェルカムマイタイの一杯だけで、普通に外でステーキでも食べた方が良かったと後悔しています。
まぁ、嫁と小五の息子は喜んでいたからまぁ良いか・・・

◇補足
ちなみに、お酒はバーがあって飲みたければ現金払いでも買えるのでお酒好きのお父さんお母さんはご安心ください。

I had made a reservation for four people in the most expensive area, but when we arrived, there were no available seats for four. We ended up having to ask other guests who were already seated to move, creating a cramped seating arrangement. The location of our seats was only about a meter away from the regular seating area, and it was hardly different from the regular seats. In fact, the regular seats were more spacious and comfortable, which made for a very disappointing situation.

We chose a VIP seat with meals for our honeymoon! When we arrived at the venue, we enjoyed welcome drinks and snacks, which was a lot of fun! I did the Green Room package which was neat being able to go back stage to see how things work behind the scenes along with being able to sit right in front of the stage to eat and watch the show which gave you a great view being so close to the performers. I like how they always include a local artist to perform too, so you are able to see not only Michael Jackson and Elvis but someone local as well. It's also nice that everything is indoors so you don't have to worry about the weather ruining your plans.

When I arrived at the venue, I learned that due to the weather forecast predicting rain, the meal would be indoors. The sky didn't seem like it would rain, so my excitement dropped significantly from the start.

However, the luau became enjoyable as it progressed, and I was glad I participated. The hula dance performed solo by one of the dancers was truly beautiful! It was my first time being moved by hula. I would love to see that dancer's hula again.

The food was good. So, I decided to try breakfast at Surf Lanai later, but that was not as great...

Initially, I planned to make a reservation through the hotel’s website, but it stated that there would be no performance on the Thursday during my stay. I tried booking through Veltra, and it went smoothly. Just to be sure, I inquired and they confirmed that the hotel’s website was incorrect. I appreciated their quick response.

会場に行くと、天気予報が雨なので室内での食事との事。降りそうもない空だったので、スタートからテンションがかなり下がりました。

ただ、途中からルアウが楽しくなってきたので、参加して良かったと思いました。特にソロで踊られた方のフラダンスが本当に美しかった！ 始めてフラで感動しました。あの方のフラはもう一度観たいです。

お料理のお味は良かったです。なので、後日サーフラナイで朝食を頂いてみましたが、それはあまり…。

始めホテルのHPから予約するつもりでしたが、私が滞在中の木曜は休演と掲載されていました。試しにベルトラさんから予約をしたらすんなり完了。念のためお尋ねしたら確認を取って下さり、結局、ホテルのHPが誤っていたとの回答でした。迅速に対応頂いて助かりました。

My father really wanted to participate, so I was looking for an event that was accessible on foot from our accommodation, and I was able to find just the right one.

At first, I hesitated because the dinner package was a bit pricey, but I thought it would be a great memory for my father, so I booked a Golden Seat, even though I didn't go for the Diamond option.

Since seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, I recommend lining up early. We were actually guided to the front row, where we could feel the heat of the flames and enjoy the show up close. It might have been a bit too close for taking commemorative photos, though...

I think my father was very satisfied and it became a wonderful memory for him.

I was able to go to the Rock-A-Hula Luau green room package. I got to go explore backstage and get a tiny glimpse of how all the action happens. I also got to take a picture with Michael Jackson before the show. The staff and crew members were very kind and made sure that everything was to my liking. I described this show as a Luau like no other because it was a Luau with a twist. All the music were the classics from Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson with the local culture included into the dance routine and into the stage outfits. The show also featured a local girl with a beautiful voice. For those who would like to watch a Luau in cushioned chairs and indoors I would definitely recommend this Luau to you!

I attended Rock-A-Hula for the first time this past week and it was really entertaining! I went with a couple friends and we chose the Green Room Tour. With this package we were sat at a stage-level table so we were closest to the performers. The three course meal included lobster, beef tenderloin, salmon and was completed with a yummy mac-nut pineapple gelato. The cocktails were really good, my favorite was the lychee martini! It was really fun to be able to take photos with Michael Jackson before the show and they also offered us a complimentary glass of champagne. The show was very exciting and entertaining; my favorite performer was the local artist Meliana. All of the dancers, musicians, and singers were very talented and seemed like they all had a ton of fun up on stage. Overall, it was a great night and I would recommend it to anyone on vacation wanting a fun and entertaining night out.
