Waikiki
This sunset cruise was by far one of the highlights of my trip. I was lucky enough to have an outstanding crew that not only operated the boat but severed as bartenders and entertainment. Famous Amos, Mitch, and Noah were all the life of the party and kept the energy going throughout the trip. The boat ride did get bumpy at some points but that was all part of the fun. Overall this tour gave a great view of not only the sunset but of downtown Waikiki. I would most certainly recommend taking this tour and come ready to party.
The sunset said was so fun! Noah & Amos entertained us the entire trip. The waters were pretty choppy so come prepared to get wet! I would definitely recommend.
My wife and I and our 8, 14, and 16 year old kids all had a great time. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our snorkeling trip with Holokai Catamaran. The crew was very attentive, funny and friendly. They made a point to make sure we saw turtles while we were in the water, and they periodically asked if we were doing ok or needed help with anything throughout the cruise. Any cautionary instructions that they gave us were very warm and polite, not bossy or curt which was especially nice for the kids on our trip.
The snorkeling itself was a little disappointing, but it had nothing to do with Holokai. We just happened to go at a time of year that was really busy. There were several other tour boats snorkeling in the same spot, so the water was crowded. It was a little stressful navigating around other snorkelers and trying to avoid getting a flipper in your face. But again the Holokai crew was in the water with us doing their best to make sure we were seeing turtles and fish.
After snorkeling, the crew let us jump off the boat and swim freely in the water. After that they put up the sails and took us for a super fun ride out past Diamond Head. That was definitely our kids’ favorite part of the experience.
Thank you to Holokai for making the this excursion fun and exciting for our families.
The guys did a great job they knew what they were doing had a fabulous time
This was an awesome experience. We actually saw turtles while snorkeling! The crew was very helpful on the boat and while we were in the water. They were entertaining and hospitable as they served beverages and got everyone’s gear. Highly recommend!
I really enjoy the price of this cruise and all the free drinks and cool people you meet. Also the guys running the boat are really cool make The drinks strong and play good music .
I knew I would see lots of turtles the moment we reached the spot because there were already turtles swimming on the surface in the area. The guides were excellent and took great care of us! Thanks so much!
Had fun during this tour. The unli drinks is the best! Thumbs up to the crews, they’re awesome. Well recommend!
From the acrobatic flips from the crew as we headed out to the waters to the quiet observation facing the sunset once it began, it was a great experience. Appreciated the safety guidelines at the beginning, and the crew making sure we are safe at all times. Recommend bringing seasickness patch/medicine just in case. You get tossed up a bit towards the front where the netting is, but it is so much fun!
Best crew. Best party boat ride ever! Everyone had fun! Great view of Diamond Head and City. Did I say they were the best crew. Great sunset pictures! Highly recommended by my whole family!
Crew and boat were great. Snorkeling spot was just ok. Saw 2 big turtles and a few fish and poor visibility. Very crowded in the water with people pushing into to you and kicking you in the face with their fins. Lunch was very poor. No choice of
Meat/cheese. Best part was the bag of chips! Mai tais had no alcohol. Save your money not worth it. Today, I saw more turtles when I was surfing by the hotel.
The boat ride was beautiful. The water look amazing & the views of the city & Diamond Head were breathtaking. The workers were very nice & attentive. The drinks were strong. Recommend wearing your bathing suit if you sit on the net as you will get wet! Will go back on our next visit.
We loved everything about this experience - the crew was extremely informed and friendly.
- our 21-24 year old kids stayed back to chat with the crew for 20 minutes after we came back on shore and came away with so many tips and recommendations.
We saw 3 turtles and so many fish! On our way back we had the complimentary cocktails and great music.
For $66 a head it was the most cost effective option around. We would love to do it again and we highly recommend it.
Our Family of 4 had been on several excursions during our week of vacation in O’ahu. This booking was by far the easiest! The entire family (including 2 teens) had a very memorable experience. I would highly recommend putting this on your “To Do” list. It may not seem like much, but once you get out there (quite a ways out there) it is a blast! ...and the Staff made it easy for me to just relax and enjoy.
I booked this excursion for my 14 yr old son and me, it was our first time snorkeling. My son was a bit anxious before we boarded, he gets a bit weary when it comes to deep ocean water. The entire crew made us feel comfortable and welcome. We got up close and personal (keeping a healthy distance of course) with several turtles. The crew pointed out where the turtles were so we could have the best viewing position. All in all it was a memorable experience and the highlight of our trip for my son.
We had so much fun on the cruise! We sat in the nets and had a terrific view plus great conversation with a family next to us. I think we had the best seats on the boat. The crew was funny, kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!
We had so much fun!! I was scared prior to arriving but they were very professional and made it fun!! Would definitely book again!!
Sailing crew was friendly and upbeat. Highlight of the trip was getting away from the masses on the beach and enjoying the beautiful sunset.
After my group was picked up another couple was picked up. I was disappointed because they were picked up across the street from the condo we were staying at. My group had to take a 15 minute walk to The pick up location that they told us. We could have slept in a little bit later and had breakfast. The ride to Diamondhead was simple and quick. Once you get to the location they do you have food trucks if you want to grab food or something to drink. As we were entering we were ask for tickets. Our driver did not give us the tickets to enter the hiking trail. We called the company no one answered and we did not have the phone number to the shuttle driver. The staff at Diamondhead did not want to let us in. however after taking sympathy on as they were nice and let us in. They could have said no and we would have to have sat in front of Diamondhead for 2 1/2. If you book with this company make sure your driver gives you your blue ticket for entry into the park.
After the hike it was a madhouse because the afternoon tours were coming in and the morning tours were going out. I received a phone call and it was a new shuttle driver who was supposed to take us to our original shuttle driver because he was caught in some type of traffic. It was a tight squeeze because this new shadow was much smaller than the ones that we came in on. The drive was really nice he gave us kind of like a sightseeing tour as we were going to the drop off location. We all get out and we’re kind of just standing around waiting. He tells us that the original shuttle driver is coming (he never showed). For people decided not to continue on with the second hike. So the shuttle driver said that instead of us waiting he could take us now because it was a smaller group. This isn’t their first time doing these tour so I would have expected things to run a lot smoother. I do recommend shopping around for different tour companies.
We had a lot of issues finding the place we needed to check into the sail. The restaurant you need to go to is marked on Google maps but there is no street signs for it so it's very easy to miss. We drove past the alley you need to walk down twice. It's located in the busiest part of town and if you miss it, it takes about 10 minutes to loop back around due to the amount of traffic and one-way streets. After finding the alley, we realized the restaurant had no designated parking. We called the restaurant who informed us we would need to valet at the hotel out front which was a mess and about 15 cars backed up on the street. We were going to miss checking due to the nightmare that came with finding this place so we sent half our group on the sail, the other half stayed behind so our driver wouldn't be alone. They sold our remaining seats to walk ups and didn't refund our money. The sail itself is not as advertised and not appropriate for children. We were expecting a peaceful sunset cruise that was appropriate for children since we are allowed to bring them. While the ocean views were stunning, the sail is more of a party cruise with a bunch of drunk adults and very loud music. Overall, this excursion was a bust for our family.
This experience was absolutely breathtaking and I would do it over again in a heartbeat!! Our ship crew kept the drinks flowing and energy moving!! If you are looking for a sunset cruise this is the one to book!
The only complaint I have is in regards to the cocktails. We only received 1 each instead of the three as advertised.
The experience was superb. Very friendly staff. Good music and good times. Will definitely reserve again.
The boat ride was awesome but what really made it great was Kia! She made sure that everyone had a full drink at all times! The view was also very nice. I would definitely recommend.
I had a blast on this sunset sail. It was the perfect "pau hana" (happy hour, end of work day)!
For drinks, they had cocktails, beer, wine, & non-alcoholic drinks. I really liked the appetizers (chicken, rice, and veggies). It was just the right amount of food to go with the Mai Tais that I had!
This is a docked catamaran. Unlike beach catamarans, you will not have to walk knee-deep in the water to board the boat. You'll be perfectly dry as you board the boat on the pier (as seen in the photo). This makes it a great choice for those who want to dress up a bit for the sunset sail, those traveling with little ones, guests with mobility issues, etc.
I loved that this was conveniently located in WAIKIKI! It's right at the Hilton Hawaiian Village (not to be confused with the Hilton Waikiki - which is a different hotel).
Overall disappointing. When I think “sunset cruise”, I was thinking something dressier, as were most of the passengers. Instead, we had to run through the surf to get onto the catamaran (no dock), getting wet and dirty in the process. The boat is leaky in the sense the water splashes through holes on the main deck, making you wet even if you’re not sitting on the edge of the boat. The “cocktails” consist of only two options: Mai Tais or beer, that’s it. The crew was pleasant, but over all, it was nothing like I expected.
We had such a great time on the sunset sail! All the crew was a lot of fun & views were great. Highly recommend!!
Great tour, our guide was friendly and professional.
This was one of my favorite things I’ve done in Oahu!! The crew Dave, Jeff, and Mino was amazing, always making sure everyone’s drinks were full and everyone was having a good time. The music playlist on the boat was awesome! Overall amazing vibes, a beautiful sunset, and I definitely recommend it to anyone is Oahu!
