トータルとしては、やはりせっかくのハワイなので、せめてフラはちゃんと見たかったため「少しがっかり」を選びました。

This is a show that I've been curious about every time I visit Honolulu. This time, I decided to book through VELTRA. I was torn between the VIP option and the buffet, but I chose VIP because I thought about the possibility of rain during the outdoor buffet. It turned out to be the right decision.

The pre-dinner cocktails, appetizers, and the main four-course dinner were perfect. Many others have posted about the food, so I won't go into detail, but the lobster, steak, salmon, and dessert were all delicious.

食事前のカクテル、おつまみ、そしてメインの4コースディナーと完璧でした。他の方がたくさんお食事のこと投稿していますので書きませんがロブスター、ステーキ、サーモン、デザートとっても美味しく頂けました。
さて肝心のショーですが…はっきり言ってそんなに期待はしていませんでしたのでびっくりしました‼️
ショーの構成といい、ダンスといい、ソックリさんの歌唱力全てに驚きました。
ちょっとスマートなエルビスとお腹がちょっと出たマイケルでしたが歌もダンスも素晴らしかったです❣️
マドンナのソックリさんが出演するのを楽しみにしていましたが今回はお休みだったようですので次回に期待して又行きたいと思います。
VIP席はステージの真ん前の席でしたので迫力があってよかったです。

I used the Terrace Luau Buffet & Show. The Mai Tai before the meal and the buffet were all delicious. The bread, in particular, was very tasty. I was completely full. It was a shame that the drinks were a bit pricey, but I was glad to have coffee. The show was also very impressive, and the time flew by. We waited in the lobby for about five minutes with a Mai Tai cocktail (there's a non-alcoholic option as well) and snacks (if we had arrived earlier, we could have enjoyed more fruit). マイタイカクテル（ノンアルもあり）とおつまみでロビーにて5分程待機（もっと早く行けばフルーツ沢山食べられた）。その後案内されて二人用のテーブルへ。スケジュール表がありそれによるとショウは20時から1時間15分程。お隣に居合わせた新婚さんと楽しくおしゃべりしながら美味しい食事（メニューの写真参照）とお酒でそれほど長く感じる事無くショウタイムに。ショウは大まかに言うとエルビスプレスリー、マイケルジャクソン、彼らとフラの共演。フラ単独。ファイヤーダンス。といった感じで実際どれもすばらしく特にマイケルジャクソンのダンスと女性ボーカルの歌唱力には来たかいがあったなと思いました。ファイヤーダンスも迫力がありました。妻はもっとフラが見たかったようですが。今回はVIP席の予約でとても満足でしたが2階席の食事無しのショウだけを見に来た方々もとても盛り上がっていました。何枚か写真を添付しましたので参考にしていただければと思います。次回はヒルトンハワイアンビレッジのショウにも行ってみたいねと二人で話しています。

I really wanted to see an Elvis show while staying in Hawaii. I googled Elvis shows and this one had excellent ratings. We booked the Luau Buffet and show. When we got there we were taken to our seats. Everyone was really nice. They start everyone with a Mai Tai that was really good. We then started the buffet line. The food was great quality & really good. My husband & I enjoyed it very much. During dinner there was a little hula show. It was very fun to watch our server dancing! She was great! After dinner we were escorted to the theater. I was very surprised by the venue. It didn’t seem like it was very big from the outside but once we got in I was pleasantly surprised!! The show was absolutely amazing!! Each performer was outstanding. Every detail about the show was right on point; the band, the dancers, the choreography, the costumes, the singers and the impersonators!! I really enjoyed it! We loved that they also have a meet & greet after the show. I would recommend this show 100%!!

This was my first time, and my partner had participated about ten years ago. We arrived early but were allowed into the venue. First, we headed to the buffet area. It felt like the Japanese attendees were gathered at the back of the line.

The welcome drink, Mai Tai, could be chosen as alcoholic or non-alcoholic. It was pleasantly sweet and delicious. Next, the whole roasted pig was brought out, which really raised the excitement.

We lined up to get our food, but we had to wait quite a bit. It felt very American in that regard. In Japan, staff would guide you based on how quickly the line was moving, and you wouldn't have to wait in line holding heavy plates. But here in sunny Hawaii, you shouldn't sweat the small stuff.

The food included vegetable salad, macaroni salad, glass noodle salad, marinated tomatoes and salmon, teriyaki chicken, white fish curry, and the whole roasted pig, among a few other dishes. Everything was decent, but I particularly enjoyed the white fish curry.

As we continued eating, desserts were served: rainbow sherbet, chocolate cake, and cookies. There was also coffee and tea. I only had the chocolate cake, but I thought it was not too sweet for Hawaii and quite tasty. The coffee was Kona coffee, which I enjoyed with the cake.

During the meal, there was live ukulele music and singing. The staff, dressed in hula costumes, created a great atmosphere! There are plans with and without meals, but the difference is about $30. If you're purely considering the food, you might think the no-meal option is fine, but if you factor in the atmosphere and the excitement of the show, I think the meal option is better.

However, the dining area is under a tent. If it rains, it could really dampen the mood. Rain might come in from the sides, and it could be hard to hear the live performance. I've heard that Hawaii has been experiencing more rain lately due to weather changes, so it’s a matter of luck.

After the meal, we moved to the show venue.

At the entrance, there was the usual photo opportunity. You can purchase the photos on your way out, but we were in a hurry to find a restroom due to the alcohol, so we didn’t buy any. I’m not sure how much they cost.

We took a photo with an Elvis impersonator and then headed to our seats. The first floor was occupied by those who had the most expensive meal plan. We were seated on the second floor. The middle seats would have been ideal, but they seat you in the order you enter, so it’s a matter of luck. We ended up in the middle of the third row. There was a good step up, so we didn’t have to worry about the heads in front of us.

Finally, the show began. There were screens on both sides and at the back, and the performance started with hula dances and costumes from different eras, accompanied by old footage of Hawaii. It felt like there was a history to both Hawaii and hula! The music, costumes, and dances changed with the eras, revealing a history I was completely unaware of, which was a bit moving.

The show transitioned from the Elvis era to a mix of Elvis and hula, then to Michael Jackson. A female singer also appeared, and rather than an impersonator, she seemed to be a Hawaiian music singer. I was overwhelmed by her singing ability.

Since I’m not from the Elvis generation, I can’t say how similar she was. The same goes for Michael Jackson; I knew the songs, but I’m not sure about the impersonation. For those who know dance, the quality would be evident, but as an amateur, I enjoyed it. Both performances were well integrated with video footage of the original artists, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

I had given up on seeing fire dancing indoors, but there it was! Seeing fire live is truly impressive. The hula costumes changed frequently, and the singing was satisfying, making the time fly by.

集合時間より早くに着きましたが会場に入れました。まずはビュッフェ会場です。日本人は各々の後尾に集められた感あります。
ウェルカムドリンクのマイタイはアルコールとノンアルが選べます。程よい甘さで美味しかった。
次に豚の丸焼き登場でテンション上がります。
順番に並んでお料理を頂くのですが、結構並んで待ちました。そこはアメリカンな対応だなって。日本だったら進み具合を見ながらスタッフが誘導し、重い皿を持ったまま並ぶことにはならないでしょうね。でもここは常夏ハワイ。細かいことは気にしたらダメです。
お料理は野菜サラダ、マカロニサラダ、春雨サラダ、トマトとサーモンのマリネ、照り焼きチキン、白身のカレー風、豚の丸焼きとあと数品あったと思います。どれもまあまあですが、私は白身のカレームニエルが美味しかったです。
食事が進むとスウィーツが登場します。レインボーシャーベット、チョコケーキ、クッキーです。あとコーヒーと紅茶もありました。私はチョコケーキだけ食べましたが、ハワイの割にそんなに甘くなく美味しいと思いました。コーヒーもコナコーヒーでケーキと一緒に頂きました。
食事中ウクレレの生演奏と生歌。スタッフがフラの衣装で雰囲気は十分！
食事ありとナシのプランがありますがその差30ドルくらい。純粋に食事だけ考えるとナシでもいいかなって思えますが、雰囲気とショーへのテンションも考えるなら食事ありの方がいいと思いました。
ただ食事会場はテント下です。もしスコールがあったらテンションだだ落ちでしょう。横から雨が降り込んだり、生演奏が聞こえにくかったりしそう。最近のハワイは気象の変化で雨が多いらしいので、これは運でしょうね。
食後はショー会場へ移動します。

入り口でありがちな写真撮影です。帰りに購入することになるのでしょうけど、私たちはアルコールのおかげでトイレに急いでたので購入せずです。いくらかもわかりません。
プレスリーのそっくりさん(？)と写真を撮って客席に行きます。1階では一番お値段の上のコースの方たちが食事中でした。私たちは2階席です。真ん中の席が良いでしょうが、入った順番に座らせられるのでこれも運です。私たちはちょうど3列目の真ん中でした。しっかり段差があるので前の方の頭は気になりません。
いよいよショーです。
両サイドと正面奥にスクリーンがあり、昔のハワイの映像とともにその年代であろう衣装とフラのダンスが始まりました。
ハワイの歴史とフラにも歴史あり！って感じで年代によって音楽や衣装、ダンスにも変化がありました。全然知らなかった歴史が垣間見えて少し感動しました。
プレスリーの年代からプレスリーとフラのショーでマイケルジャクソンと移っていきます。女性シンガーも登場しますが、その方はモノマネというよりハワイアンミュージックのシンガーなのでしょう。歌唱力に圧倒されました。
プレスリー世代ではないので似てるかはわかりません。マイケルジャクソンも微妙ですが歌は知ってました。ダンスは見る人が見たらクオリティが分かるでしょうが、素人の私は楽しめる程度でした。どちらもスクリーンに本人の映像とコラボしてて雰囲気はバッチリでした。
室内なので諦めてたファイアダンスもありました。やっぱりファイアは生で見ると圧倒されます。
フラの衣装も次々変わっていき、歌も十分聴きごごたえありであっという間に終わってしまいました。

私ははじめモノマネショーと相方に聞いていたので正直期待してなかったのですが、フラの歴史に触れられて、プレスリーやマイケルとも融合し女性シンガーの歌にも圧倒され価値あるエンターテイメントだったと思います。
相方は10年前の記憶があるので昔はもっとマドンナとかもいてて、今回はクオリティが下がったと言ってました。
モノマネショーをメインで思うなら物足りないかもしれませんが、私はポリネシアンショーが好きなので大満足です。ぜひもう一度参加したいですし、お値段以上の価値はあったと思いました。おススメです！

I wanted to see some kind of show when I went to Hawaii, so I attended the Rock-a-Hula show, which also included a buffet. The location was easy to find on the fourth floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, and it was convenient for using the trolley afterward, which was reassuring. We ate at the buffet under the tent on the terrace before moving to the show venue. The meal started with a Mai Tai drink, and they asked whether we wanted it alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The staff guided each table in turn to the buffet. While we were eating, we could enjoy dancing and singing, which heightened the feeling of being in Hawaii. The show had free seating in the second-floor section. Video and flash photography were not allowed, but taking photos was okay. An Elvis impersonator came around, which was a bit challenging for everyone, but it was fun. The dancers changed costumes quickly and performed energetically. If you mainly want to see hula dancing, you might find it a bit different. If you want a typical Hawaiian luau this show is not for you. But if you enjoy music going as far back as the 1930's then this show is highly recommended. Most of the music was done by Elvis and Michael Jackson. The performers were great. The fire dance was great but was very short/limited. The performance was done indoors in a theater with theater seating which was great but again if you want to experience an outdoor luau this show is not for you.

The location of the show is in the heart of Waikiki Beach on the 4th floor of a mall. We drove from Marriott Ko olina Resort which is about 20 miles away and took is about 45 minutes to get to the show. So if you are planning to come from the Ko olina/Aulani Resort area plan to drive for 45-60 minutes. There is ample parking to self-park. The parking is free for the 1st 3 hours with validation. After the show you can walk around in the area for shopping. The check in experience was great and was very fast. All the workers were very helpful and hard working. The food was simple, tasty and healthy, especially the curry fish.

overall my family and I enjoyed this show and would recommend it to others.

This time, I used the Terrace Luau Buffet & Show. After arriving, I had the buffet on the terrace of the Hawaiian Center. There were about 10 dishes, including roast beef, huli huli chicken, and whole roasted pig, which left me completely full. Additionally, during the meal, I was able to enjoy ukulele performances and dance close to my seat. After that, we moved to the show venue, and we had seats right in the middle of the second floor! It was very easy to see. The show included rock music, hula, and fire dancing, and I was able to enjoy it all the way to the end without getting bored. I was moved by the performances of Michael Jackson and Elvis. Being able to see authentic hula made for a wonderful memory!

I arrived at the venue at 6:30 and was first guided to the buffet. I sat at a long table and waited for my turn to go to the food table. I could choose from about ten different dishes, including green salad, macaroni salad, sautéed sweet potatoes, curry-cooked white fish, and chicken. The photo shows all the dishes I took a little bit of on two plates. The roast beef and pork were really delicious.

At 7:30, the show began. It was incredibly fun. There were performances featuring nostalgic songs from Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, along with hula dancing. Michael Jackson's performance was particularly impressive; his moonwalk was very skillful and moving. The hula and Tahitian dance segments were short but very authentic and enjoyable to watch. I was seated near the center, which was a great spot, allowing me to enjoy the show even more.

I’m really glad I got to see this show.

Breathtaking evening

We went along to this night not knowing a lot about the performance, other than it was in a very convenient location for us and that it was a very reasonable price. We left being blown away by the sheer professionalism, talent and wow factor of the performers and entire evening.

The pre show dinner was tasty and filling, the service friendly & prompt.

The show was in a lovely theatre with exceptional stage and lighting setup and from the moment the show started our eyes were glued to the stage.

The singers and dancers never missed a beat or note, the lighting was beautiful and the music fun and fabulous. We enjoyed the range of pop performers throughout the eras with Elvis and Michael Jackson impersonators as stand out performers! Even at the meet and greet afterwards Michael was perfectly in character - when I asked him how long his show makeup took he replied in a wonderfully accurate voice "makeup? What makeup??"

The fire dancer was also phenomenal with even bar staff remarking that they tried to align their breaks with his performance to go watch from the back of the theatre! Who needs to go to an overpriced louwow when you've got wonderful traditional hula dancers and performers right here.

5 stars - all round a phenomenal night and a "must see" for all visitors!

The personal attention that you receive during the dinner and pre-show entertainment made you feel so special. The staff remembered your name and details about you — such as where your from, the drinks you like, etc was above and beyond. The food was delicious. My daughter is a vegetarian and they went out of their way to create a vegetarian plate just for her!! The food options on the buffet were all delicious. Both the prime rib and the pork melted in your mouth.

Once we were seated in the theater the videos enriched the show. One of my favorite parts was how the hula girls appearance changed throughout the decades. Elvis was great and Michael Jackson was very impressive. It was more like a musical show than I expected. It was a great surprise. Best night I had in Waikiki ,,,

We totally rocked out at Rock-a-Hula!

My friend and I had such a totally awesome night at Rock-a-Hula, and want to go see it again! We got the VIP dinner show, and it was fantastic. From beginning to end, we were treated like VIPs, and couldn't have asked for better service, food or entertainment.

The cocktail and appetizer reception before the theater doors opened was a great prelude to our evening, and their original mai tais were really yummy too. So many delicious things to nibble on that I had to be careful and not get too full before dinner! Oh and dinner, salad, steak, lobster and dessert...so.... tasty! Plus our server was so attentive and awesome :)

Our VIP seats go us close to the stage so we had an amazing view of the performance, and man was it awesome! Elvis, Michael Jackson and Katy Perry, all on one stage for a seriously rockin' evening. The woman who played Katy Perry was my favorite! Not only did she look and sound exactly like her, but she was the sweetest person too!

The fire knife dance was scary awesome, and the perfect topper to a great night. Perfect option if you just want a fun time in Waikiki!

A cool show with Elvis!

If you've been to a luau before and want to see another dinner show that isn't exactly a luau, this will probably fit the bill. There's plenty of Hawaiian entertainment and a buffet similar to what you'd find at a luau, but generally speaking this is a more "American" dinner show, like one you'd find in Las Vegas.

The featured stars are Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and HIRIE, a local artist, but there are also a variety of dances, including Polynesian and contemporary choreography. Hirie performed some of her own hits as well as newer songs such as "How Far I'll Go" from the movie Moana!

There's also the hula, Tahitian, and fire knife dancing that you'd normally see at a luau, but there's a good balance of traditional and contemporary. This is an awesome alternative if you've already been to the other luaus in Waikiki.

Amazing night!

The food and service were great. We had the luau-style buffet dinner and everything was delicious, especially the whole roasted pig. A luau cannot be complete without it! The hula dancers and musicians were also very fun and friendly. The show dancers were so talented too. Especially Elvis, he even went into the audience at one point and interacted with some of the crowd! Adding a local singer to the mix was a nice touch as well. It gave a more authentic feel that you are in Hawaii as she sang along with Elvis and Michael Jackson. The evening show was a wonderful way to end the night. I highly recommend this show if you are looking a lively, entertaining night in Honolulu!

We booked the Terrace Luau Buffet & Show. At the terrace, we first enjoyed cheerful songs and dances while having complimentary cocktails (non-alcoholic options are available) and pineapple. Then, the whole roasted pig made its appearance! Not only was it visually impressive, but it also tasted great.

The instructions for going to the buffet and the theater were all in English, but it was manageable (laughs). The show was packed with performances, featuring hula, Elvis, and Michael! I even got to shake hands with Elvis, who came up to the second-floor seats.

While Elvis and Michael didn't look exactly like the originals, the quality of the show was high, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Time flew by, and we had a wonderful night in Hawaii!

I thought it was just an impersonation show of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, but it was much more than that. It was an enjoyable experience that mixed visuals, various genres of music, and dance all the way to the end. The beauty of Hawaiian music and hula dancing was conveyed, and I had a precious time that I could only experience here. Personally, I was constantly overwhelmed by the sharpness of the dancers' movements.

I requested to cancel my reservation at the last minute due to health issues, and thanks to the wonderful arrangement by the staff, I was able to change my schedule to the next day. Thank you so much. Thanks to that, I was able to participate in the terrace dinner and the rock and flash show, regaining my energy. It became a memorable night along with the commemorative photo ($25). I am grateful!

Since we decided to meet on-site, I will head to the venue by 6:30 PM. If you show your reservation screen at the reception, they will guide you. First, we will toast with a welcome drink, then enjoy a buffet while listening to music and watching hula performances. The dining area is right next to the reception, not inside the venue.

I thought it might be fine not to include a meal, but since there will be hula performances during the meal and the people who bring drinks are also part of the show, I think it would be nice to remember their faces for a different kind of enjoyment during the show.

After the meal, we will enter the venue and freely look at the exhibits before heading to the second-floor seating. The seating arrangement is determined by the order of entry. When we went, we were able to sit in the very front of the second floor. It seems that on the first floor, you can watch the show while dining.

The show starts with visuals, upbeat music, and hula dancing. The impersonation show is entirely in English, so if you don't understand English, you might miss some of the fun. However, the Elvis impersonator came to the second floor and even shook hands, making it a vibrant show that I would recommend for those who love glamorous performances and rock music.

Both during the meal and the show, the vibe is very American, so I had the impression that, including us, the Japanese audience might not be fully in sync. However, the dynamic stage with quick changes in costumes and stage impressions kept us entertained throughout the slightly over one-hour show, making for a wonderful and enjoyable night.

受付で予約画面を見せると案内してもらえます。
まずはウエルカムドリンクで乾杯したあとに音楽を聞きながら、フラを見ながらのバイキングです。
食事場所は会場の中ではなく受付のすぐとなりになります。

食事の内容的には付けなくてもいいかなーと思いましたが、食事中にフラを披露したりドリンクを持ってきてくれた人がショーにも出ているので、顔を覚えているとショー中も別な楽しみ方があると思います。

食事のあとは会場内に入り展示品などを自由に見てから２階席へ。入った順番で座る場所が決まります。
私たちの時は２階席の一番前に座ることができました。１階では食事をしながらショーが見れるようです。

ショーは映像と軽快な音楽とフラダンスではじまります。
ものまねショーはすべて英語なので英語がわからないと面白さは若干劣るような気がしますが、2階席までエルビスのそっくりさんが来てくれたり握手をしてくれたりするので華やかなショーやロックが好きな方にはおすすめです。

食事中もショー中もノリがアメリカンなので私たちも含め、日本人はノリ切れてないかなー？という印象でしたが、1時間ちょっとのショーの中で衣装もステージの印象も短時間で変化をさせながら迫力あるステージで最後まで飽きさせない演出はとても素晴らしく楽しい夜を過ごせました。

Waikiki Luau with All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Dinner, Fire Dance & Rock-A-Hula Show

What I love about this show is its variety performance. It has hula dances, Michael Jackson, Elvis and fire eater. All the performances were very good. I love Elvis. I would have loved to see more hula dances but overall it was good. Also, I wish it was a little longer. We opted for the pre-performance buffet dinner and it was good too. The band was good as well. I highly recommend this show to everyone. It is worth it. It is not the usual luau but it had a las vegas impersonators. My family enjoyed it including my teenage kids. It is for all ages. Very well choreographed. Love that it is inside an indoor theatre.
