I was able to see about 3 turtles and an octopus. They don’t go too far out and it’s a pretty quick trip if you want to see some sea life and also do other things with your day. The catamaran ride was smooth and I enjoyed the short ride. Had a cocktail on our way back. Crew was friendly and couldn’t ask for a better time. Oh the music was great too!!

I only understand a little English, but when it comes to snorkeling, just communicate your fin size in US sizes, and once you're in the water, you can follow the staff without any issues. There were many sea turtles and beautiful fish!

On the boat, just sit back and enjoy without doing anything dangerous! The staff was very kind, providing cold water as a service and being attentive to the passengers, which made the experience very enjoyable.

The meeting place is at the location on Google Maps listed on this site, where you should look for the boat labeled "MOANA." The meeting time is 7:30, and we boarded around 8:00. The staff called out to us near the boat around that time. I highly recommend it!

Snorkeling is a family favorite and we booked a tour with Island Splash Tours as part of a birthday celebration. It was such an absolute pleasure going out with Captain Preston and Alex. We are in Hawaii fairly often and are looking forward to future tours with them. We really appreciated their knowledgeable approach to staying safe and making it fun for all of us. It was much more of a private experience compared to the tours we have taken on the larger boats and it made it all the more special. Everything from helping us select the best time of day to making sure everyone had a wonderful experience was done with such thoughtfulness and professionalism. A “little bird” even told Captain Preston about a family song that he made a point to play as we can back into the harbor. We all felt spoiled and loved every moment of our tour. As a Navy family we also really appreciate the military discount he offers. Completely recommend Island Splash Tours to anyone thinking about a boat or snorkeling tour!!

We had a great time on our trip with a Island Splash Tours! The captain and crew were very knowledgeable, fun, and very safety conscious.
We had a very peaceful morning out at turtle canyons- heading out we got a great view of Waikiki from the water, which was beautiful! We saw a lot of turtles, and even had some dolphins swimming right next to the boat on our way back!
I highly recommend this company and their tours. Their semi-private tours make for such a fun, relaxing, and personalized experience!

Book this tour now! You can check around for other tours but you are wasting your time. Island Splash Tours is the best! Me and my girlfriend had a blast with Preston and Kris. Very private experience! Only us and one other group onboard. They are very safety oriented and make sure that everyone is having a good time. We saw so many turtles, too many to count. Kris found us an octopus and a collector urchin.

The meeting place was hard to find, and it took 20 minutes after the meeting time for the guide to finally show up. The guide only provided explanations in English, with no simple Japanese at all. I struggled to get used to putting on the snorkel and couldn't get into the water for a while. The guide mentioned that they couldn't take responsibility for those who couldn't swim, so they advised us not to swim. I think it would have been helpful to have a brief lecture on tips for breathing with the snorkel. Once we set sail, everything went smoothly, and we were able to see sea turtles coming up to the surface multiple times, which was amazing.

I chose this tour because the meeting place was close to my hotel and there weren't many options available at the last minute, but it turned out to be a great decision. I had a wonderful experience.

When we arrived at the snorkeling point by boat, we encountered a pod of dolphins! We enjoyed watching the dolphins from the boat.

Once in the water, I swam surrounded by schools of colorful fish of various sizes. (The staff threw food from the boat, so many fish gathered around.) After that, the staff guided us by swimming to the turtle point. We were able to see three turtles that day. They occasionally came up to the surface for air, allowing us to see them up close, which was incredibly exciting!

After the snorkeling time ended, we returned to the boat and sailed out to sea with the sails up, moving quite fast. I was fine, but those who are sensitive to motion might want to be cautious.

The website mentioned bringing a "photo ID," so I brought my passport, but it wasn't required. I didn't read it carefully, but it seems it was needed if you wanted to purchase alcohol on the boat. I misunderstood and thought it was required for the tour participation, so I would appreciate it if the wording could be changed.

After getting out of the water, it can be chilly with the sea breeze, so it's better to have a long-sleeved cover-up or a large towel. Also, there are no staff members who speak Japanese. They explain the precautions before entering the water, so having good listening skills would be helpful. (Since they use gestures, you might manage if you can catch some key words.)

ボートでスノーケリングポイントに着いた頃合いで、イルカの群れに遭遇！
ボートの上からしばしイルカ見物。
海に入り、大小色とりどりの魚の群れに囲まれながら遊泳。
（スタッフがボートから餌を投げるので沢山集まってきます）
その後、ホヌポイントまでスタッフが泳いで誘導してくれました。
この日は3匹のホヌに会えました。時おり水面まで息をしに上がってくるので本当に真横にホヌを見ることが出来、大感激！
スノーケリングタイムが終わった後は、ボートに戻り、沖合まで帆を上げてかなり飛ばしていきます。私は大丈夫でしたが、揺れに弱い人は要注意です。
WEBには持ち物に『写真付きのID』と書かれていたのでわざわざパスポートを持っていきましたが、提示は求められませんでした。よく読まなかったのがいけないですが、ボート上でお酒を購入したいときに必要ということだったようです。ツアー参加の際に掲示を求められると勘違いしてしまいましたので、書き方を変えていただけると嬉しいです。　
水から上がった後海風に吹かれて寒いので、長袖の羽織るものか大き目のバスタオルは有った方が良いです。あと、日本語話すスタッフはいません。海に入る前に注意事項を説明されるのでヒヤリング力は有った方が良いです。（身振り手振りの説明なので単語が聞き取れればなんとかなるかも）

Me and my husband had a great time. The guys are very prompt with safety and are very accomodating. We saw turtles and other sea creatures too. My husband was not very confident with snorkeling but they helped him out by getting acquainted with the waters and eventually he gained confidence to snorkel and he enjoyed it a lot later on to see sea life.

Crew was great, my family really enjoyed it. Lots of fish to see, my wife seen a turtle and really liked the experience. If you’re not a strong swimmer or out of shape I would suggest not booking. I found swimming against the current hard but my wife and daughter are stronger swimmers than me and had an easier time.

Just remember to bring a towel because it can get chilly. Location was easy to access as they are on the beachside of dukes Waikiki. Definitely recommend Manu Kai..

Awesome Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise!

My fiance and I had such a wonderful time on this cruise! It was our first time snorkeling, and we were a little nervous (for fellow first timers, the apparatus feels a little uncomfortable and claustrophobic on the boat, but feels so much better in the water)! However, the whole crew put us at ease and were super patient with us, helping us to get the perfect fit with our goggles and apparatus. Nicole even gave me one of her hair ties when I forgot mine! The lifeguards were great, helping us to find the best spots to watch turtles and fish, taught us a ton, and even dove down to get an octopus for us to pet. They were great about checking on everyone and making sure we were ok, comfortable, and having fun. The music and mai tais were excellent, and everyone was so friendly and sweet. They offered to take pictures without us even asking! This cruise is such an amazing deal for the price, and was for sure one of the highlights of our first trip to Oahu. My only advice is to be near Duke's at the Outrigger early, there is not super clear signage for where the boat comes in, so go to the bathroom and bring everything you might need so you have time to find the boat. Thanks for an amazing time!
