This was a fantastic experience! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable crew. I appreciated the brief snorkel lesson and tips. We were able to see turtles, a variety of fish, and during the sailing portion dolphins and whales. Overall great experience with no complaints! Would recommend to others and will remember them on my next trip!

Favorite snorkel boat!

Love, love, LOVE this boat! It's a beach catamaran so no transportation is needed. Plus, they provide you with FINS that are super comfy and adjustable. After snorkeling, you get some snacks and can purchase drinks on board. We got the souvenir Holokai shaker to keep. We did the 9am cruise which was perfect for visibility and to catch a little bit of sun before it got too hot in the afternoon. Would recommend!

SPACIOUS catamaran, great visibility, lots of fish

This catamaran is super nice! Since it was an early snorkel cruise, we opted to add-on a light breakfast so we could sleep in a bit more in the AM. Visibility was amazing. On the boat ride to the snorkel spot, we were so lucky and saw dolphins. This is incredibly rare in Waikiki so we were so excited to have gotten the chance to see them! There were tons of fish at Turtle Canyon. This boat provided us with floatation belts AND fins. The fins helped us out so much and we were able to cover so much more area than if we didn't use them. Loved this cruise & would recommend!

Not really a snorkel adventure

Overall this snorkel adventure isn’t that great there is only one small reef with maybe 3 turtles and that’s it. Also you are swimming around 3-4 other boats that have about 20 people each so it gets really packed really fast in the small little area. It’s a good beginner snorkel trip but if you are wanting to get a quality experience with a big reef to swim around I would look elsewhere

There are a lot of similar experiences down here, but this crew is tried and true. They have been doing this longer and better than the competition out there, and the experience is truly for those who want a no nonsense visit to turtle canyon. Captain Mina and Jeff truly know their stuff. Good times and good vibes!

The location is a short ride back to the popular beaches and they provide options of food and drinks.

Took my wife and 6 year old son on the morning snorkel cruise. It was conveniently located and easy to navigate finding. Mina and the team were very helpful, accommodating and ensured that we had an awesome time . We spotted about 5 turtles and tons of schools of fish.
We will do this trip everytime we’re on the island

Fun excursion!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was a really fun experience. We got to see turtles and spinner dolphins! It was a great way for us to end our trip in Hawaii. It is recommended though to know swimming well if you want to snorkel as the life jackets are not buoyant enough to keep you afloat.

Rude swimmers. Please describe how to snorkel with aloha before disembarking.

I get this on every tour, but newbies need instructions on how not to be rude. Don’t flip in my face. Stop swarming at me, and please… there is no reason to flail your appendages rampantly for no reason when there are 50 swimmer right next to you. Please explain this to swimmers before hand. In fact, in a small area, there is no reason for flippers. This would have been much more enjoyable if no one had them.
Turtles were neat. I would not tell anyone else if you see one because everyone swarms and hits you in the face/gut/you name it, as they flail to see it.

An Incredible Experience

The crew from Moana Catamaran were awesome, laid back, and super helpful the entire experience! The classic island music, the weather, the catamaran.. all the vibes were perfect!
We saw a couple schools of Dolphins on the surface (which I believe is NOT common, so keep that in mind if you book!) and saw about 8-9 sea turtles during our time in the water. A few of them hung around the whole time and swam towards us so close we had to swim away to give them the distance they need.
The crew gave us everything we needed- snorkels, fins, and a floaty to make things super easy for our time in the water. I really enjoyed that it was a waist floaty and not a neck inflatable one like some of the other boats out there. Made it much more enjoyable.
Overall, we were mesmerized by the turtles and the fish / sea life that surrounded us, and had an amazing crew to take us to it. 10/10, 5/5, whatever you want to take from this. My wife said this was "the most amazing experience of her life", and I might even agree. :)

Our guide got in water and spotted turtles and shared a lot of interesting information. We saw so many Turtles and close up. I got to hold a sea urchin. We also saw probably 4 species of fish, pretty. Staff, so friendly and fun, and kept the drinks coming.

Down and dirty

Water was super choppy which was not their fault. Captain Junior was kind of a jerk. He was preoccupied with his phone and his smokes. While we road out to the spot, the intro was more about tips and rules than about the snorkel experience. I ended up tipping half of what I planned to tip prior to the trip. I would have liked a little more instruction on how to use the snorkel gear. I was told "it's pretty self explanatory." Bella was the life guard and pulled the anchor. She was a badass. Only had about 45 mins in the water and no time to enjoy "free drinks." Would only recommend if you know how to swim, snorkel, can pound drinks and are only looking for a cheap ride out to sea.♀️

My friends and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in Honolulu. The turtle swim was our first activity. It met all of our expectations and then some. The three men who took out out to swim made us feel very comfortable and we saw several turtles while snorkeling. The catamaran ride was exciting and the views of the island were breathtaking. This is a must activity for anyone visiting this island.

I really liked the turtle snorkel excursion. We went out short boat ride to the snorkel site. The equipment was excellent everything fit right. The snorkel experience was amazing. I actually saw five sea turtles. They are so neat. I was able to take pictures with my underwater camera. It was abs big. The hides were very nice abs I was able ti get a Diet Coke.

A fun experience

Very convenient as we stayed at the Outrigger, a stones throw from where we boarded the vessel. Crew was very friendly and that always helps. Confused about flippers. Posting on web site said they are not provided by yet they were given out on the ship. I’m glad, made snorkeling a lo easier. Turtles were fun to watch. Only wish we saw more of the reef. Had a very good time.

The crew was friendly and talkative. We had never been snorkeling and they made it easy and comfortable. The area where we went there are multiple boats and people, that is not a poor reflection on this tour, but we didn't realize so many people would be in the same place. We did see turtles!! and fish and the reef. They take little time going back so you can get pictures with the view.
