Loved experiencing this right in Waikiki! The location at the Royal Hawaiian hotel was really convenient (no long bus rides) and the food was 10 out of 10. It started to rain a bit during the show and within minutes, the servers brought out towels to everyone so we could stay dry and catch the last bit of the show. Service was fantastic. Would recommend the extra to get the Premium seating closer to the stage.

The seats were at the edge, so I couldn't see the stage very well. It was a round table for eight, but the seats inside the table were free seating, so it's a good idea to arrive early. This family trip was all about enjoying the classic experiences of Japan. This show was the best among them. The buffet was decent, overall good. The professional show was impressive. The location with the sunset over the ocean as a backdrop was also nice. My wife and daughter were taking lots of photos.

Thanks to choosing the premium seats and arriving early, I was able to enjoy the show from the front row. If you arrive late, you might end up with seats further back, so I recommend arriving at the designated time.

When I arrived at the venue, I learned that due to the weather forecast predicting rain, the meal would be indoors. The sky didn't seem like it would rain, so my excitement dropped significantly from the start.

However, the luau became enjoyable as it progressed, and I was glad I participated. The hula dance performed solo by one of the dancers was truly beautiful! It was my first time being moved by hula. I would love to see that dancer's hula again.

Since the premium seats were fully booked, I reserved standard seats. I arrived at the hotel just after 4:30 and lined up. Our seats were at the end of the second row from the front. The stage was positioned high, so it wasn't difficult to see. The male fire dance was impressive, and the female hula dance was very vibrant. I've participated in luaus multiple times, and in just two hours, you can learn about Hawaii's history through an engaging show. An elderly American couple from the mainland celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary and came on a commemorative trip with their daughter and her husband. The husband raised his hand to report this to the host, and everyone congratulated them—typical of America! But I think there were only about two other Japanese couples besides us? We forgot that we were foreigners (laughs).

Had a great time at the Royal Hawaiian luau this week. It was much more than simply hula dancing and a fire show. The performances were short acts telling the story of the Hawaiian culture and history through song and dance. I could feel the passion for Hawaii in the host of the evening as he was setting the scene for each act. Interestingly, he was one of the actors in the original Hawaii 5.0!

Before the show started, it was fun to learn and actually see the process of how Hawaiian people made the material for their clothing. It was actually made of out sticks!

Food was plentiful and tasty with lots of variety. Highly recommended experience. The setting was beautiful on the lawn with the beach and an amazing view of Diamond Head in the background. A very special evening!

Aha Aina Luau - Perfect Evening

What a wonderful evening. Perfect location, beach front right at the heart of Waikiki, with a beautiful views from Diamond Head. The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is the most tradition hotel in Waikiki, the staff is very friendly and always ready to help you.
Before the dinner and the show start you can learn more about Hawaiian traditions. The buffet has a big variety of dishes and the food was very tasty. The drinks were very good too.
The storytelling of the show is very interesting they talk about Hawaiian history starting when the first Polynesians arrived, passing by the Royalty time and until it became the 50th state. The dancers and the singers are fantastic!
Great evening under the starts, good food and friends. I would definitely come back again and I I recommend Aha Aina Luau to everybody!

I went with three people, and when my two friends stepped away, the people around me kindly spoke to me. Everyone was considerate of me being alone, and it turned into a fun dining experience. The stage was amazing! The food and drinks were excellent! It was a bit pricey, but I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I made a reservation for the premium seats and attended with my daughter. It seemed that the seats were predetermined, as we were guided to a seat overlooking the diamond bed at the front row of the stage when we handed over the voucher at the reception. We shared a table with a 50-year-old American woman who was attending alone and a large Chinese family, and it was enjoyable to communicate in broken English. The atmosphere of the oceanfront garden at the Royal Hawaiian was fantastic, and the buffet had a wide variety of dishes that were quite delicious. The price is high, but I recommend it for those who want to enjoy the show in an elegant setting.

席はあらかじめ決まっていたようで、レセプションでバウチャーを渡すと舞台最前列のダイヤモンドベッドを臨む席に案内されました。
一人で参加していた50代のアメリカ人女性と中国人の大家族と同じテーブルだったのですが、カタコトの英語で交流をしたのも楽しかったです。
会場のロイヤルハワイアンのオーシャンフロントの庭の雰囲気は最高で、バイキングのお料理も品数が多くそれなりに美味しかったです。
お値段は高いですが、優雅にショーを楽しみたい方にオススメです。
