I participated in this casual and affordable tour off the coast of Waikiki with low expectations. It was a 7:30 AM tour, but when the time came, the staff from Pink Sails Waikiki had not shown up, and there was no sign, which made me anxious. However, since they were Americans, it turned out to just be a delay. The entire tour was conducted in English, but I didn't feel any language barrier in my desire to see whales. Half of the passengers were American, while the rest were from Asia and India, with three groups of Japanese.

After the boat stopped offshore, we saw several spouts and while waiting on deck with anticipation, we also spotted a few dorsal fins. The captain was happily chatting about various things, and although I couldn't understand much since it was in English, I enjoyed the atmosphere. I missed a sudden jump, but those who were lucky enough to witness it were thrilled. Later, we saw what seemed to be a mother and calf, blowing spouts and showing their tails near the surface. We were able to see more whales than we expected, and the staff were enjoyable, making for a very good time! ♪

Most of the guests were from Europe and America, with a few Japanese and Korean people. The guide spoke only in English, mixing in jokes, which made for a lively conversation. I didn't understand everything, but it was fun!

As for the whales, we saw them a few times, but they were quite far away and only surfaced for a few seconds, so we couldn't take any photos. However, the excitement in the air was palpable. Two crew members entertained us a lot and took many photos for $40. They transferred the photos to my iPhone right after we disembarked and gave us an SD card. The instruction was in English, but I was able to participate enjoyably while observing everyone. The waves are calm, so it can be a bit easy to get seasick. If you're worried, it might be a good idea to take some motion sickness medication beforehand. The meeting place was hard to find, so I recommend arriving early. It's at the southernmost end of the parking lot!

英語での指導でしたが、みんなの様子見ながら楽しく参加できました。
波が穏やかなので少し酔いやすいです。不安なら酔い止めを事前に内服したらいいかも。
集合場所がわかりにくくて焦りましたので早めに行くのをお勧めします。

The weather was questionable, and on the day I had a reservation, the captain decided not to set sail, forcing me to change my schedule to the next day. I wish they had covered the Uber fare from the hotel! My plans were significantly disrupted. However, I really wanted to try parasailing 🪂, so I was glad I could experience it. Fortunately, I had a shopping day that didn’t include any tours, but if it had been later in my trip, I would have had to give up on it. If it were among Japanese people, it would be great to get to know each other on the boat and take pictures for free, but for a honeymoon, it might be worth paying for more photos in terms of quantity and quality.

天気が微妙で、予約した日がキャプテンの判断で船が出ず、次の日に日程を変更せざるを得ない状況になりました。ホテルからのUber代とか払って欲しかった！予定はだいぶ狂いました。でもどうしてもパラセーリング🪂をして見たかったので体験できて良かったです。たまたまツアーを入れていない買い物デーがあったから良かったけど、旅の後半だったら諦めるしかなかった。日本人同士なら、船の中で仲良くなって、写真をお互いに撮り合うのが無料で1番いいけど、ハネムーンとかなら写真の量やクオリティ的に課金もありかな。
