I saw Auwana for the first time. It was wonderful. Three generations of our family enjoyed it together. I had seen a Cirque du Soleil performance in Japan before. The theater is small, so you can enjoy a great sense of presence from any seat. It was cool, but it wasn't too cold even without a jacket.

We went on a boat ride as a family. At first, I was worried about the kids getting seasick, but the fun outweighed that concern, and our excitement skyrocketed! The view of Waikiki from the sea was refreshing, and we could see Diamond Head beautifully! I want to experience it again!

We were the only Japanese people there, and the number of guests was just right, so we could relax without feeling cramped. We chose a catamaran with a restroom just in case since we had children with us, but we didn't use it even once. The kids had a great time too!

I attended with my elderly mother in a wheelchair. When I informed the theater staff about the wheelchair, they kindly escorted us to our seats, and after the show, they brought the wheelchair back to our seats. Their attentive service was very helpful.

Check-in was at 5 PM, and we were given three drink tickets per person and shown to our seats. Although the front row was fully booked at the time of reservation and we had the basic plan, we were seated at a two-person table on the edge of the third row, which had a good view. The waiters came by at just the right times to take drink orders and even offered to take photos, providing a pleasant service experience. At the end, the two leftover drink tickets were exchanged for cute paper packs of mineral water to take home.
During the time from check-in to the show, we observed the making of kapa and poi. The kapa-making demonstration had a bit of a line, but it was organized into small groups, and even if you didn't understand English, it was fun to see the cute hula girls up close. There was no making of na lawaia, but instead, there was a corner where they stamped your arm with a tattoo-like design. The show was scheduled to start at 7 PM, but in reality, singing and hula began around 6 PM and ended by 8:40 PM. It was nice that we could take photos with the performers at the end. Compared to the Hilton show I attended previously, the stage was smaller, but at the Hilton, there were a lot of people, leading to long lines for check-in, a buffet-style meal with more waiting, and shared large tables. Personally, I found this experience to be more satisfying.
17時にチェックイン、1人3枚のドリンクチケットを渡されて席に案内されました。予約時に前列確約が満席で基本プランでしたが、3列目端の２人席で見やすくてよかったです。ドリンクもウエイターがタイミングよく聞きに来てくれたり写真を撮ってくれたり、気持ちの良いサービスでした。最後に2枚余ったドリンクチケットはお持ち帰り用のかわいいミネラルウォーター紙パックと交換してくれました。チェックインからショーまでの時間はカパ作りやポイ作りを見学。カパ作りは少し並んで小グループごとに説明してくれる形式で英語がわからなくてもかわいいフラガールのお姉さん達を間近に見られて楽しかったです。ナ・ラワイア作りはなく、代わりに腕にタトゥーのようなのスタンプを押してくれるコーナーがありました。ショーは19時からと書いてありましたが、実際には18時台から歌やフラが始まり、20:40には終了でした。退場時に舞台出演者と写真が撮れるようになっていたのもよかったです。以前参加したヒルトンのショーに比べると小さめのステージでしたが、ヒルトンは人数が多くてチェックインに長蛇の列、食事はビュッフェに並びドリンクも取りに行かなければならず、席は大きなテーブルで相席だったので、自分的にはこちらの方が満足度が高かったです。

I hardly speak any English, so I was very anxious at first. However, there were moments when Japanese was mixed in, and I really had a great time. The magic was also amazing! The conversation was lively, but since it was in English, I couldn't keep up with everything, and I truly regretted not studying English more. Although the height of 150 meters was intimidating, it didn't ascend at the speed of a roller coaster, allowing me to enjoy the scenery. I was worried about whether I could experience it while wearing glasses, so I brought prescription goggles, but I think glasses would probably be fine too. I couldn't stop feeling excited since we set off on the boat, and when it was time to fly, my excitement was through the roof! It was quite high and a bit bumpy, giving it a thrilling attraction-like feeling! The view of Waikiki and Honolulu from the sea was breathtaking! It felt great when we briefly touched down on the water as we landed! It was an amazing experience! 😊

If you're going to Waikiki, I highly recommend this show, so I made a reservation before my trip. The quality of the dancers was high, and the story about the lei and the engaging service made for a very enjoyable time while feeling the breeze of Waikiki. It was a bit disappointing that the dining area was a bit far away, but there was a wide variety of delicious food to enjoy.

The sea was murky due to the effects of the wind and tsunami, but I was able to see turtles when they surfaced while I was on the boat or in the water. Even though the water was cloudy while I was swimming and looking for sea turtles, I could see schools of fish, so I think there were many more. The sea is usually much clearer, so I would like to go again next time if the timing works out.
The cruise staff were kind, and since the sea was murky, they offered a complimentary soft drink and suggested an alternative for the sunset cruise.
