If you're going to Hawaii, surfing is a must. In fact, I had been taken surfing three times by a junior colleague from my company before, but I couldn't manage to take off and had given up. However, I decided to join this opportunity.

I participated alone, but the driver who picked me up and the receptionist explained everything in Japanese, which was a great help since I don't understand any English at all.

Finally, we headed to the ocean at Waikiki. I received a brief lecture in English on the beach and then we quickly went into the water. The surf point was quite far from the shore, and I paddled out, but at 50 years old, I found it pretty tiring. I couldn't help but say "very tired," and the instructor responded with a smile.

I faced the board towards the shore, waited for the waves, and the nice instructor timed it perfectly, telling me when to paddle and when to go, and I successfully took off. I was so worried about taking off, but I managed to do it from the first try, and it was incredibly fun and exhilarating.

One thing to note is that while it's fine to stand, there are many rocks, so I think I need to be careful as my feet ended up all scratched. However, the waves weren't too high, and with the instructor's good timing, I believe anyone can stand up.

The weather was a bit bad, but we went ahead without any issues. We were picked up right in front of the hotel. We moved to the port and boarded the boat. Two cheerful foreigners entertained us. We just had to go along with it and fly. We went up high and could see Waikiki and Diamond Head. It was open and fun. They took a lot of pictures from the boat. You can choose whether or not to splash into the water. Most people opted to splash. When we got down, they gave us the SD card with the photos right there. They mentioned we would pay later at the port. However, there was no chance to pay, and we were put on a bus. I wonder if that was okay... I paid about $20 in tips when getting off the boat. On the way back, they took us to the hotel. Some of the photos were out of focus or overly bright, resulting in almost completely white pictures, but since it was practically free, I could overlook it. I think taking pictures on a very shaky boat is quite difficult.

We had the most incredible evening - these women are kickass and we couldn't have imagined a better crew!! The drinks were great, the sunset unbelievable and the boat was VERY clean - even the bathrooms were nice and clean. We would definitely do this again when back in Hawaii!

Highly recommend a Hawaiian Mimosa by the way!! Well worth the money for an evening on the water - big enough that it's spacious too. Thank you girls for such a memorable evening!! <3

We participated as a couple. I'm not very comfortable with heights, but being over the ocean made it not a problem at all. We joined at a height of 130 meters, but I think you can enjoy it at any height.

I thought about taking photos from above, but I was worried I might drop my smartphone, so I gave up. I ended up purchasing the photos taken by the guide.

Although we're not a young couple, we really wanted to participate in activities that feel Hawaiian, so it was great.

Also, the fact that the time commitment wasn't too long was a plus. After it was over, we could head back quickly, allowing us to enjoy the rest of the day.

I was worried because I was about 10 minutes late for the meeting time, so I called the tour company. We sped along in a boat with little rocking for about 10 minutes and then flew in groups. I was scared to see in the photos that people were flying with relatively light gear, and I was quite nervous about flying with light equipment myself. However, it turned out to be surprisingly stable...!!! For those who are afraid, I recommend trying the 150m jump with confidence. There are views there that you won't experience anywhere else.

The crew member was playful and funny, and later when I bought the SD card (make sure to ask if photos are okay in advance!), I was amazed to see how well the pictures turned out despite the boat rocking so much.

The SD card with photos was $30, and I gave the guide a $20 tip when disembarking. I think it's a good idea to have cash prepared.

They informed me how long the delay would be and what kind of car would come, which made me feel reassured while waiting.

The staff member in charge was friendly and we had a very enjoyable time. There were five groups on board with us. Some people were also sightseeing on the boat. Each group had about eight minutes of time. I think seasickness depends on the weather, but no one in our group experienced it.

スタッフが撮影してくれる写真は買わなくても大丈夫です。
ちなみに、米粒みたいで誰が飛んでるかわからなかったwwので、私たちは買いませんでした。

帰りの送迎までの時間も待つことなくスムーズでした。

I participated alone, and when I actually gathered with others, there was only one other Japanese person, which made me a bit anxious. However, I managed with my very limited English. Once they realized I couldn't speak English, they responded in broken Japanese, so I could somewhat understand what they were saying.

Watching the parachutes flying from the boat, I was worried because they went much higher and farther than I expected. I thought, "Isn't this really scary? Can I handle it?" But when I actually experienced it, the feeling of exhilaration outweighed the fear. We were blessed with great weather, so the scenery was amazing!

However, while waiting my turn on the battlefield, I had to stay on a fast-moving, turning boat, so motion sickness medication is a must. In fact, I found that part to be scarier (laughs). But even with that fear, it became a great memory. If you stay at a designated hotel, they will pick you up and drop you off right in front of the hotel, so it's reassuring even if you don't have your own transportation. The crew and the drivers were all really nice, and if I have the chance to come to Hawaii again, I would love to do it again!

ただ、戦場で順番を待っている時、高速で走り、旋回するボートの上にいないとならないので、酔い止めは必須です。むしろ私はこちらの方が怖かった(笑)
でも、その怖さを含めていい思い出になりました。指定ホテルに泊まっていれば、ホテルの前まで送り迎えしてくれるので、足がなくても安心です。クルーや送迎の運転手さんもみなさんいい方達で、今度ハワイにくる時があったらまたやりたいです！

A big shout out to Coreen (I hope I spelled correct), my 7 year old daughter freaked out when she hit the water so the wife and my 5 year old son went on, after my son was done holding onto me I took him back to the boat it was at that time that another of the crew members had a baby octopus and my son freaked so back on the boat he goes, but the good part was Corren had my 7 year old daughter with aspergers in the water and ready to swim over to us, when she saw the turtles and fish she freaked so back to the boat she goes, but it was truly amazing and we will do it again. After being picked up, I signed a waiver in the car. The driver didn't seem to understand Japanese, but since the waiver was in Japanese, there were no issues. It took about 10 minutes by car from the Ala Moana Hotel to arrive. We joined three groups that had arrived earlier, and we quickly boarded the boat while still carrying our luggage. Out of the three groups, two were Japanese and one was from overseas. There are no lockers on the boat, but I don't think it's a concern.

About 10 minutes after departure, we arrived at the parasailing point, where each group was fitted with harnesses to start parasailing. I don't think the instructors understood Japanese, but they explained the essentials in Japanese, so there was no inconvenience due to the language barrier. Before taking off, they asked in Japanese whether we wanted to purchase photos or do a "japon" (splash). Some people chose to buy photos, but no one opted for the "japon." Even without doing the "japon," they skillfully controlled the experience so that our feet could dip into the water.

I chose the 150-meter option, but since we were above water, I didn't feel any fear of heights, and the weather was great, allowing us to enjoy the stunning views. 飛び立つ前に写真を購入するかジャポンするか日本語で聞いてくれます。写真を購入する方はいましたがジャポンする方はいませんでした。ジャポンしなくても足だけ水につかるように上手くコントロールしてくれたりもします。
150メートルを選択しましたが水上なので高い場所にいるという恐怖感はなく、天気も良かったので最高の景色が楽しめました。船に降りるときも上手くコントロールしてくれ簡単に降りられます。船上で待っていた方も拍手で迎えていただきインストラクター含めて盛り上げてくれます。
150メートルを選択しましたが他の高さと比較ができないので高さによる違いはあまり体感できないかも知れないです。インストラクターからも高さについての説明はありませんでした。
ジャポンしなければ基本的に水に濡れることはないですが船で移動中に水しぶきがかかるので気になるかたはタオルなど準備した方がいいかもしれません。
降船前にチップを払い終了です。私たちは1人10ドル払いました。
終了後はすぐにピックアップしたホテルに送ってくれます。8時スタートに参加して9時半頃にはホテルにいるのでその後の予定も立てやすくおすすめのツアーです。
また予約時に指定されたピックアップ場所をVELTRAカスタマーサービスを通じて変更してもらいました。メールで日本語による問い合わせでしたが早急に対応していただきこの点も良かったです。ありがとうございました。
