I have a fear of heights, but I’m really glad I challenged myself because it was so much fun! The view of Waikiki from above was incredibly beautiful, and there was a strange sense of unity with the other guests on the boat, which was interesting. The boat rocks quite a bit and goes fast, so it might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication. My husband held onto the GoPro without a strap during the ride, but somehow he managed to bring it back without dropping it in the ocean. We bought the photos they sold, and other guests took pictures with our smartphones, but it was great that all the shooting locations were different. When we told the captain it was our honeymoon, we ended up being dropped into the sea twice, which was funny! Including that, it was an enjoyable experience, and the captain gave instructions in excellent Japanese, so we had no trouble at all. I think it was probably the first and last time in my life, but it was a wonderful experience!

I downloaded the Japanese guide from the Atlantis Adventures website in advance and listened to it through Bluetooth headphones on my phone using Spotify.

There was a Japanese guidebook available for free at the ship's shop.

The weather was nice on the day of the trip, and I had a great time. On the way back, I saw a turtle. In the submarine, there were many fish, and I spotted a shark under the airplane.

However, I found the meeting point difficult to locate, and I was disappointed that while the guide mentioned the photo purchase would be $30, I was charged $40 on-site without any explanation.

Kind of ok, but would not recommend it to a friend

It was ok. Tackle is not fancy but well maintained, bait is basic easy kind (frozen squid). Our group (about 20 people) caught 4 small fish total over 3h - not much but it is great to prove that we all had a chance. I felt like the crew could have done better. My personal peeve is, for some reason they decided to move away from a shallow (= easy to fish) spot where multiple people were getting bites to a super deep one with no bites (I’m guessing they were simply unaware that we were getting bites). Another problem is, when at a spot, the boat is simply set adrift, which makes it quite impossible to fish vertically (since the boat is moving).

Unfortunately the water was very choppy the day we went out and I experienced pretty bad seasickness the whole time. Unfortunately they did not have anti-nausea medicine like Dramamine on board. It was a very bad couple hours for me unfortunately.

It was a valuable experience to see the underwater world in Hawaii. However, I couldn't find any information about "Japanese narration available for download." Once seated, there was no opportunity to ask questions to the staff. In reality, there were no staff members available to answer questions, and at both the boat before boarding the submarine and at the meeting point, there was no situation where I could inquire about the "Japanese narration available for download." I've been to Hawaii many times, but this was my first try at this activity. I have a fear of heights, so I thought I would never do it. However, at the strong request of a friend who was visiting Hawaii for the first time, I decided to join in.

Seeing Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from a different angle was an incredible deal! Since it was all ocean below, I didn't feel high at all. The takeoff, landing in the water, and landing on the boat were all very gentle, so I wasn't scared at all! It was just so much fun! It became a wonderful memory. Next time, I think I'll take my husband along.

I participated once before the COVID-19 pandemic and had a very valuable experience, so I joined again after about three years! On the day I participated, the wind was strong and the waves were high, which reduced the water's clarity. As a result, when the honu dove, it quickly became hard to see them, and I didn't spot them as often as during my previous visit. However, I was able to see a few honu, and just as I was about to head back to the boat, I spotted a large pod of dolphins in the distance. One of them jumped high like in a dolphin show, and I was so excited! Just when I thought the excitement couldn't get any better, the pod of dolphins started swimming towards us, and in the end, I was able to swim with the dolphins too! Even a 5-year-old could fly! At first, he was scared, but the scenery was so beautiful that he said he had fun after flying.

The guide was very friendly and spoke to my son several times, who was feeling nervous. Since the landing is quite intense, if your child isn't okay with getting water on their face, it might be traumatic.

We were supposed to gather at 2:00 PM, but we ended up meeting at 2:30 PM, and we returned around 4:30 PM. Even if you gather early, I think it's fine to be cutting it close since there was quite a bit of waiting time.

I arrived an hour early, but I was able to join the previous group! We went parasailing right after getting on the boat. I didn't understand everything in English, but it seems like you can have photos taken and buy them later. When I participated, there were two groups of Japanese people and two groups of foreigners. Everyone was really friendly, and it was a lot of fun!

Four years ago, it was canceled due to a hurricane. I thought the prices were high for optional tours in Hawaii due to inflation and the weak yen, but I decided to give it another try for the memories. At first, I was a bit scared, but I quickly got used to it and enjoyed the view of the high-rise hotels in Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea.

The meeting place was near the Hilton Lagoon, which was easy to find.
The other guests were four Americans.
After about 15 minutes on the jet boat, we took turns putting on parachutes.
I was asked if I wanted photos, but I declined; however, those who wanted them could purchase an SD card for $40.
I chose the lower height of 120 meters, but it was still high enough. The view was excellent, and I could see the ocean far away, with Diamond Head visible nearby.
In the end, thanks to the pilot's charm, we were dropped into the sea up to our chests, so it's better to wear a swimsuit.
On the way back, we went fast, so it was quite bumpy. I recommend taking motion sickness medication if you're prone to it.
They asked for a $20 tip, but I didn't have cash, so we gave $20 for the two of us.

The Hilton Grand Waikikian is conveniently located just a three-minute walk from the meeting point, and this was my first time booking.

I was told that Japanese was not spoken, but the staff at the reception did their best to communicate in Japanese.

Additionally, the staff on the boat helped ease the tension before the flight by creating a lively atmosphere.

I chose the 1,000 feet option, and it felt like we flew longer than expected. It was exhilarating, and my son, who has a fear of heights, was thrilled.

I definitely want to fly again next time!

I was able to see small, beautiful fish and sea turtles! We signed up during a time when there was no Japanese guide. There were many foreigners around, and while I was somewhat overwhelmed by the different energy and vibe, I still had a great time. If you want to hear explanations in Japanese, I recommend choosing a time with a Japanese guide.

In Miyako Island, we had to give up on parasailing due to bad weather, but in Hawaii, we were able to do it in perfect conditions. I was the second to fly, and I was nervous seeing how high the first person went, but before I knew it, it was our turn, and we quickly ascended into the sky. It was more stable and quiet than I expected, and the view included Waikiki and Diamond Head. I felt like I was monopolizing this amazing scenery without any fear; it was the best feeling. The crew's handling of the parachute was perfect, and whether it was splashing down into the sea with just our lower bodies or landing smoothly, every group managed it effortlessly. I'm really glad we did it.
