We requested private lessons for our son (11 years old), father (49 years old), and mother (43 years old). Our son had the pleasure of attending twice during our stay.

It was the first time for our entire family to try surfing. Once we entered the ocean, each of us had a one-on-one lesson with an instructor. At first, we were filled with anxiety: Would we understand what the instructor was saying? Could we stand up? Is it really okay to come this far out? However, all those worries disappeared after the very first attempt! Although we struggled to stand up and fell quite a bit, the instructor was incredibly kind! No matter how many times we failed, he encouraged us with praise.

He spoke some Japanese, so there was never a moment where we felt lost in understanding. When he taught us the timing to catch the waves, the board started moving at high speed, and I panicked, unable to do what I had learned, which resulted in more falls. I felt sorry for not being able to do it well despite his earnest teaching, but each time, he patiently reminded me to "Relax! Remember how to do it!" Following his instructions, I was finally able to stand up! It was an indescribably amazing feeling!

Our son progressed much faster than us and was having so much fun that he was completely hooked! So, we decided to request another lesson for him the day before our return (the parents refrained due to budget and stamina). I was also happy that the receptionist was a Japanese woman, and we were able to chat a lot.

The instructor for this lesson was different from the last, but he was also wonderful, and we had a fantastic time. The photos taken with the instructor are treasures for our son.

If we had plenty of money and time, we would love to stay at the Park Shore Hotel where the school is located and attend lessons every day during our stay in Hawaii!

日本語をまじえて言ってくださるので、理解できなくて困ることはありませんでした。波に乗るタイミングを先生が教えてくれた時にはボードが猛スピードで進み始めているのでテンパって習ったとおりにできない＝立てない、落ちる を連発。あんなに一生懸命教えてくださるのになかなかうまくできなくて申し訳ない気持ちでしたが、その度に「リラックス！やり方を思い出して！」と根気強く教えてくれ、先生の言うことをちゃんとやれば立てましたー‼︎ もう言い表せない最高の気分でした！
息子は親達よりもはるかに上達が早く、楽しくて仕方がない‼︎と、どハマりでした。ならば‼︎と帰国前日に息子のみもう一度レッスンをお願いしました。(親達は予算と体力の都合上自粛) この日は受付が日本人女性でたくさんお話しができたのも嬉しかったです。
レッスンは前回と違う先生でしたが、またとてもステキな先生でとても素晴らしい時間を過ごさせていただきました。先生と撮った写真が息子の宝物です。
お金も時間もたくさんあるならスクールの入っているパークショアホテルに宿泊して毎日レッスンに通うハワイ滞在を過ごしてみたいと話しています(๑>◡<๑)

Even at 90 meters, it was really high up, and the strong wind made it a bit scary when it swayed! But 90 meters was enough for us. The view from above was amazing!

They asked if we wanted to take photos for $30, but we decided to have a couple of newlyweds from the same tour take pictures with their iPhone, so we didn't get the photos.

Since it was an iPhone, our faces weren't captured clearly, but they were able to take videos as well, which was nice. If you want clear photos of your face, I think it's a good idea to ask the staff to take pictures with a DSLR camera.

I participated with my middle school daughter and elementary school son. I thought I would need to ask the staff to let us fly together, so I researched how to say it in English before going. We participated as a family of four. I joined 20 years ago and saw sea turtles and beautiful fish in their natural environment, so I wanted to show my children. However, the biggest point is that I didn't realize, since I didn't have kids last time, that the transfer boat to the submarine caused quite a bit of seasickness. It wasn't just us; many other participants were affected, and some adults were even down for the count. While the waves were a bit rough, the real issue seemed to be that we had to wait for about 15 minutes on a rocking boat while picking up people who had been on the submarine. The submarine itself doesn't rock at all.

The guide suggested taking motion sickness medication, but that doesn't help once you're on board. I think it would be better to clearly state in advance that "motion sickness medication is essential" for those who are prone to it. However, they might avoid mentioning this beforehand to maintain a good image.

Additionally, due to the deterioration of the natural environment in recent years, the beautiful coral reefs that were present 20 years ago have significantly decreased, and sea turtles are now rarely seen. The water is often murky (this is all based on what the guide said, so it's not just my impression). It seems that the views may not meet expectations anymore (this is my interpretation).

This tour has been popular for many years, but it might be reaching a transitional period. However, the staff and guides were very friendly.

One more point: when I made the reservation through Veltra, the voucher I received stated "this is not required to bring," but during the boarding process, they asked for proof of the reservation. I was glad I had printed it out just in case.

ガイドの人は酔い止めの薬を飲むよう呼びかけてはいますが、乗船後では何の役にも立ちません。船に弱い人のために、もっと強く事前に「酔い止め必携」を明記した方がいいと思います。ただこれを事前に出すとイメージが悪いので出さないのかもしれないですが・・・。

あと、近年は自然環境の悪化で、20年前はキレイだったサンゴ礁がかなり減り、またウミガメも減ってめったに見られなくなっている上に、海水が濁ることも多い（これらはすべてガイドさんが言っていたことなので、私の印象や創作ではありません）そうで、期待通りの眺望が得られなくなっていることも多いようです（ここは私の解釈）。
長年人気のツアーですが、そろそろ過渡期を迎えているのかもしれないですね。ただ、スタッフ、ガイドさんはとてもフレンドリーでした。

もう1点、ヴェルトラさんで予約をした際に返信されたきたバウチャーには「これは持参不要」とありましたが、乗船手続きの際には予約を取った証拠の提出を求められました。念のためプリントアウトしたものを持っていっておいてよかったです。

However, when we participated, only the two adults were allowed to paddle. The children, aged 13 and 11, were told by the captain in English, "If I give the oars to the kids, they'll lose them, and that would be a problem," so they could only ride along. Instead, two male helpers paddled with us, but the kids were disappointed, so I wish we had known this when signing up. *I saw in other reviews that it mentioned "it's okay if women and children don't paddle," but in our case, it was more like "the kids wanted to paddle, but they weren't even allowed to hold the oars." That was an awesome adventure! My brother and I had a blast we just wish the ride was at least ten minutes longer. Besides that the crew was very professional but also new how to have a good time. We would definitely do it again. Although for future customers you should add some time for the price! Thanks.

The pickup was on time, and we enjoyed parasailing. We also had family photos taken, but after arriving at the port, we had to wait for a while. When I asked, I was told that the photo data was on the camera that was on the next boat, so they couldn't give it to us right away. They asked us to come back to the port, but we had other plans, so we couldn't go. It was really disappointing since we wanted those photos. Everything else was great.

ピックアップも時間通りにしてもらいパラセイルも楽しめました。家族での写真も撮ってもらっていただけに港に着いてから暫く待たされ、聞いてみると写真のデータはカメラを次の便に乗せたのですぐには渡せないとの事。
また港に来てくれと言われましたが予定もあったので行けませんでした。せっかく欲しかったデータだけにその辺りがすごく残念でした。あとは良かったです。
