Overview:
The meeting point is the Holocai Catamaran booth located on the beach side of the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort on the first floor of the hotel. If you're unsure, you can enter the hotel from the Steak Shack side and walk towards the abc store to find it.

There, you check in. There are about 12 participants. Since the boat will be moored on the sandy beach, you'll need to take off your sandals to board. About four strong men will be your guides. They look impressive, like old-time sailors from a movie. As I listened to the explanations (in English), we soon moved to an area where we could see honu (sea turtles). (I didn't feel much rocking.) Most participants were foreigners, with only a few Japanese. You can borrow snorkeling sets and life jackets. Wearing the jacket is mandatory, but whether to inflate it is up to personal judgment. Beginners should inflate it, while experienced snorkelers who want to dive can keep it deflated. Soft drinks were free, while alcohol was available for purchase (ID is only required when buying; if you don't plan to buy, you don't need an ID). Participants freely took photos and relaxed on the net at the front of the boat... The guide was always cheerful and even spoke a little Japanese when he realized we were from Japan... そこで受付。参加人数は12名ほど。砂浜にボートがつくのでサンダルを脱いで乗船。屈強な男たち4名ほどがガイドをしてくれる。かっこいい。映画の中の昔の船乗りみたいにかっこいい。なんとなく説明(英語)を聞いているといつの間にかホヌ(ウミガメ)がいる辺りに移動。(あまり揺れは感じませんでいた)参加者の多くは外国人。日本人はわずか。借りれるのはシュノーケリングセットと救命ジャケット。ジャケットは着用マストだがふくらませるかどうかは個人判断。初心者なら膨らませ、経験者で潜水したい場合は空気を入れなければ良い。ホヌがいるスポットは様々はツアーの客が群がっているので、譲り合ってゆっくりみんなでホヌに近づく。息継ぎのために水面まで上がってくるホヌを一定の距離を保ちながら観察。ガイドがフレンドリーに説明をしてくれたりどっちに行くかを案内してくれる。ただ後半は段々と統率がなくなってきて自由に行動し始めるので、たまには顔を上げてガイドがどこにいるのか、またはホロカイ！と声を上げているほうへ泳いで迷子にならないように。水下にホヌがいたときは、水中カメラを持っている客から(私はgopro)借りて、ガイドが下まで潜って間近で撮影してくれた。とてもいい思い出。ある程度観察したら船に戻り、残りの時間をワイキキの海をセーリングしながら自由時間。ソフトドリングは無料。アルコールは有料(購入時だけIDが必要。その予定なければIDは要らない)参加者各々が自由に写真を撮ったり船先端にある網？の上で寛いだり…ガイドは常に明るく接してくれたり、日本から来たとわかると少し覚えている日本語を話してくれたり…かなりゆったりと時間を過ごしながら帰路へ…

感想：
もちろんその日の天気や波に寄りますが、私の場合、揺れはほとんど気にならず、とても快適に過ごせました。日本語フレンドリーではありませんし、完全にネイティブのノリや喋り方ですが、そこまで難しいことは言いませんししませんし、聞けばとてもフレンドリーに教えてくれます。天気がいい場合、日焼けするので長袖やサングラスを持ってくと良いと思います。水中カメラはあれば是非とも持っていくことをおすすめします。
船から降りた後は目の前にステークシャックがあるので、そのままお昼に食べました。

もちろん海外なノリが多いため、苦手な方は考慮されたほうが良いですが、とても気分の良い、南国にきたなーーーーと思える体験でした。特に何を強要されるわけでもなく、各々が自由に旅行を謳歌している、そんな雰囲気でした。

I paid for the VIP package for a group of 6 people and everything went pretty smoothly from checking in to being seated at our table. Everything was pretty efficient from getting our meals to seeing the show. My only issue of concern was that I paid for the additional drink and we were not able to use them. We were told that there would be an opportunity to use them during the show but no one told us we had to get them before the show started because there would not be an intermission or an opportunity afterwards. The waiters need to clearly state that if you don't get your drink during your meal, you need to be sure to get it before heading into the show because you won't get the opportunity otherwise. The show was amazing from the MC, Elvis, to Michael Jackson! The dancers and band did a great job as well!

It was an incredibly fun and unique experience, like flying in the vast sky! From a height of 150 meters above the sea, I could see Diamond Head and the streets of Hawaii; it felt like a dream.

It was my first time parasailing, and I thought I would be sitting in a chair while flying. I didn't realize that you sit in a harness like on a zip line, which made my bottom feel a bit unstable and added to the thrill. It was a little scary, but the fun definitely outweighed it! It might be tough for those with a fear of heights...

Also, they took photos during the experience that you can purchase for $40. Instead of just one photo, they gave me the entire microSD card with 120 images! If you want, they can connect it to your iPhone on the spot to transfer the photos, but I couldn't do that since I have an iPhone 15 with a type-C port (;^ω^).

For your reference, here are some concerns I had before the experience and my actual experience:

- I was a bit worried that I might feel nauseous like I do on roller coasters, but I didn't feel that sensation at all.

- I had heard from various people that the boat ride to the parasailing spot makes you really seasick, but since I don't usually get motion sickness, I was completely fine. In fact, the boat rocked quite a bit, which I found enjoyable, and the wind felt great. I think it's a good idea for those who are prone to motion sickness to take some medication beforehand.

- The staff were locals, and they helped me put on the safety gear while explaining things in simple Japanese, like "lift your legs," so it went smoothly. You don't need to worry if you don't understand English.

Overall, it was a really enjoyable activity without any worries. I would love to do it again if I get the chance!

・私はジェットコースターの胃が浮く感覚が苦手なので胃がふわっとしないか少し不安だったのですが、そういう感覚は全くありませんでした。

・色々な人から「パラセイリングに行くまでの船がめちゃくちゃ酔うよ！」と聞いていましたが、もともと乗り物酔いをしない体質という事もあり全く酔いませんでした。むしろ船がけっこう揺れるのが楽しくて、風が気持ち良かったです。
酔いやすい人は酔い止めを飲んでいった方が良いと思います。

・スタッフの方は現地の方ですが、救命道具の着用は「足あげて」等と簡単な日本語で説明しながら手伝ってくれるのでスムーズでした。英語がわからなくても心配いりません。

こんな感じで、不安もなく本当に楽しいアクティビティでした。
機会があればまたやってみたいです！

There is a bit of a wait from when you are seated until you can go get your food. However, I didn't feel that the meal time was insufficient, so I don't think it's a big issue. The food was not only plentiful but also delicious, with flavors that are easy for Japanese people to enjoy. The roast beef, in particular, was excellent. The hula performances and lessons during the meal were also fun. And the show exceeded my expectations! The dancers were sharp, and before I knew it, we were at the finale. I'm glad I participated.

I think there are several catamarans, but the 1.5-hour ride was just right. The reception was easy to find as it was located on the 1st floor of the Outrigger Reef Hotel. The staff maintained a good distance, which I appreciated. The boat also had a restroom. I was worried about seasickness, but it was a clear day with calm waves, so I didn't get splashed and enjoyed a pleasant breeze during the fun cruising. Although I didn't see any sea turtles or dolphins, I was very satisfied with the views of Honolulu and Diamond Head from the sea. I definitely recommend experiencing this at least once.

When traveling by boat, there were quite a few waves, and it was pretty rocky! Since there were only two groups, including us, the time spent being rocked by the boat was relatively short. However, I recommend taking motion sickness medication just in case there are more groups. (*^^*) At first, I thought it might be scary, but once I actually flew, there wasn't much sensation of floating, and it was so much fun! It was a precious and amazing time!

Both my wife and I are in our late 50s, while the other two couples are younger. Although we both ride motorcycles, we were a bit worried about keeping up with the younger crowd. After a brief 10-minute lecture, we were ready to ride. I think the Japanese guide was very good at teaching.

Since we ride standing up, the view is great, and we moved at a jogging pace, which allowed us to look around leisurely. At Ala Moana Beach Park, we were allowed to go onto the grass, and it was a fun experience being waved at by people sunbathing on benches while also being chased away by park rangers.

The weather was nice, but the sun was strong, so I put on a UV-cut parka. The feeling of riding was indescribably strange; the sound of the motor just echoed with a whoosh. Without hard tires and suspension, the bumps in the road were transmitted directly to us.

We even had someone take a video of us while riding, and with a break in between, the roughly two hours flew by. Including tips, it was quite an expense, but it turned out to be a unique experience. I would love to ride again.

ダイレクトに伝わってきます。
途中で乗っているところの動画を撮ってもらったり、
休憩を挟んで、およそ2時間があっと言う間でした。
チップを含めると結構な出費でしたが、なかなかできない
体験になりました。
また乗りたいと思います。

It's better to wear flip-flops or something similar. Also, if you go to the front of the boat, be prepared to get wet from the splashes; wearing something that can get wet makes it much more fun. There are 10 of us. We didn’t really know what to expect but we had such a blast. The staff was very friendly. Bring a towel just in case get wet or feel cold.

I booked a tour for the day I arrived in Honolulu. The feeling of sailing out and catching the wind was amazing. We were blessed with great weather and were able to see a wonderful sunset. The staff was friendly and immediately checked in when our drinks were running low. As the tour was coming to an end, someone stood up and started singing and dancing to the background music. I had a truly wonderful time.

My first parasailing experience was very enjoyable. The view from 150 meters above was amazing. The photos taken by the staff cost $40 plus a tip, so I didn't request them, but I asked a couple who boarded the boat with us to take pictures from below. All the photos turned out beautifully. Since the sun was hot, I recommend going around 8 AM!

The Sunset cocktail cruise on the Ke Kai was awesome! 100% worth the price, which covers 3 drinks (more than enough)! We loved the boat and the crew and had a great last night of our Hawaii trip. Highly recommend!

We participated as a group of three, and since we were able to ride together, we didn't have to share with strangers. A few years ago, when I went parasailing with another company, it was awkward to ride with someone I didn't know, so I was glad to enjoy this experience. We stayed at the Hilton, so we didn't need transportation. I would like to use this service again.

We participated as a group of three. I had heard beforehand that it would be difficult for three people to fly together, but on the day, it went smoothly and we were able to fly as a family. The ground staff were very polite and friendly, which made us feel at ease. The boat staff were quick and we were able to fly smoothly. We also got to know other participants, creating a sense of unity as we waved and applauded each other. We asked for photos, and they took many shots of various moments, surprising us with how clearly our faces were captured in the air. Since returning to the hotel, we've enjoyed looking back at them multiple times.

地上スタッフもとても丁寧で親しみやすくて安心できました。ボートのスタッフも手早くてスムースに飛ぶことができました。

写真もお願いしたのですが、いろんな場面をたくさん撮ってくれたうえに、空中での顔がはっきり写っていたのにはびっくりしました。ホテルに帰ってからも何度も見直して楽しんでいます。

It was my first experience surfing, but with the guidance of Hans and Edd, I was able to stand up right away. They also captured it well on video, making it a wonderful memory. I highly recommend it!
