We were a party of 7 (4 adults 3 kids) and all of us had a great time. They were on time and the crew was fantastic. They explained safety rules with a bit of humor and made it fun. They swam with us and guided us and pointed out fishes and turtles for us to see. Equipment was acceptable. We had our own snorkel gear, we only borrowed their life vests.

This was perfect for when we had family visit. Two hours of fun, and we saw so many turtles. Definitely a memorable experience.

This was such a great excursion for my parents and I. It was beginner friendly and the crew is super nice, informative, and welcoming! The turtles were awesome to see up close and the drinks (!!) were a great bonus. Would definitely recommend them to any visitors who haven't gotten a chance to see the wildlife of the island.

Wonderful time snorkeling and seeing fish and a few turtles. The crew was very helpful and fun.

I really enjoyed the instructor's demeanor. They were very knowledgeable and made you feel comfortable being on the boat. They also stored our small stroller which I really appreciated. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great time! We saw several sea turtles (including a baby) getting their spa treatment. Then, we went for a nice sail, enjoying our drinks and snacks.

All 3 guys were amazing and funny while being informative. I never felt out of place. Makes u want to wave if u see there boat go by

I booked this snorkeling tour for our group of 21 months in advance. A couple days before our trip a representative of Hawaii Activities contacted me to let me know the time we booked was no longer an option offered by the company. They rebooked us with a different company for the same day, at an earlier time, without drinks :(, for the same price even though the Moana company charged more than the one we originally booked. I appreciate this so much because as we were boarding, we saw a disappointed family at another dock who had their trip canceled with not even a notification. The boat just never showed up and when they called the company they were told they had to cancel due to COVID. Things happen but a notice would have been nice. Luckily for us Hawaiian Activities/Veltra not only notified us, but made alternative arrangements for us. I would definitely use this company for bookings in the future.

This was extremely fun!! Saw a lot of turtles, fishes. Turtles even swam under us and they would come up for air and be right beside you! Staff was amazing and super nice as well. I would recommend this activity! Drinks were good as well.

Could hardly see fish or turtles. Crew was not friendly at all.

I’m so glad we booked this experience on our trip! The employees who ran the boat did such an amazing job at making us feel so welcome, and had a nice sense of humor which was great. It was my parents first time snorkeling and they were super helpful in making sure everyone was ok. Would definitely recommend this experience to those who are interested! And we definitely saw turtles!

We really enjoyed our snorkeling trip with Holokai Catamaran. The crew was very attentive, funny and friendly. They made a point to make sure we saw turtles while we were in the water, and they periodically asked if we were doing ok or needed help with anything throughout the cruise. Any cautionary instructions that they gave us were very warm and polite, not bossy or curt which was especially nice for the kids on our trip.

The snorkeling itself was a little disappointing, but it had nothing to do with Holokai. We just happened to go at a time of year that was really busy. There were several other tour boats snorkeling in the same spot, so the water was crowded. It was a little stressful navigating around other snorkelers and trying to avoid getting a flipper in your face. But again the Holokai crew was in the water with us doing their best to make sure we were seeing turtles and fish.

After snorkeling, the crew let us jump off the boat and swim freely in the water. After that they put up the sails and took us for a super fun ride out past Diamond Head. That was definitely our kids’ favorite part of the experience.

This was an awesome experience. We actually saw turtles while snorkeling! The crew was very helpful on the boat and while we were in the water. They were entertaining and hospitable as they served beverages and got everyone’s gear. Highly recommend!

I knew I would see lots of turtles the moment we reached the spot because there were already turtles swimming on the surface in the area. The guides were excellent and took great care of us! Thanks so much!

Crew and boat were great. Snorkeling spot was just ok. Saw 2 big turtles and a few fish and poor visibility. Very crowded in the water with people pushing into to you and kicking you in the face with their fins. Lunch was very poor. No choice of
Meat/cheese. Best part was the bag of chips! Mai tais had no alcohol. Save your money not worth it. Today, I saw more turtles when I was surfing by the hotel.

We loved everything about this experience - the crew was extremely informed and friendly.
- our 21-24 year old kids stayed back to chat with the crew for 20 minutes after we came back on shore and came away with so many tips and recommendations.

We saw 3 turtles and so many fish! On our way back we had the complimentary cocktails and great music.

For $66 a head it was the most cost effective option around. We would love to do it again and we highly recommend it.

I booked this excursion for my 14 yr old son and me, it was our first time snorkeling. My son was a bit anxious before we boarded, he gets a bit weary when it comes to deep ocean water. The entire crew made us feel comfortable and welcome. We got up close and personal (keeping a healthy distance of course) with several turtles. The crew pointed out where the turtles were so we could have the best viewing position. All in all it was a memorable experience and the highlight of our trip for my son.

The only complaint I have is in regards to the cocktails. We only received 1 each instead of the three as advertised.

The worst snorkel tour I’ve ever been on as far as what a person was able to see under the water. My husband didn’t see a single fish. The kids and I saw two species. A black fish and a striped fish..literally two fish of each kind. Water is too cloudy to see much. I don’t believe there is really much to see even if the water were clear. No reef in sight. Way too many tourists from about 5 different boats all dropped off to snorkel at the same spot so people are constantly getting in each other’s way. I never saw a turtle except the one from the boat when we first pulled up. BEST part was the crew and the sail after the snorkel. The crew was wonderful. Brandon was super funny. Ryan and Mike both nice guys. They all work hard. Maybe it was just a poor day at sea for seeing much in the water, but I wouldn’t do it again. A sunset sail with them would be great since the sailing was the best part and the crew is awesome. But if you’re hoping to see a lot of fish and turtles while snorkeling, don’t expect it here. Wish I could get a refund.

We went on a 12:15 snorkel cruise and had a great time. Crew was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. 90 mins was just the right amount of time for snorkel. Saw lots of turtles and got great pictures. Snorkel area itself is a little crowded at times but everyone was helpful in locating turtles and respectful of peoples space. Drinks were great after we got back on the boat. Overall A++ experience!

Horrible life vests. Blow up air in them and slowly air releases and don’t realize until in the water. Vests had small holes in them. This is risky for adults and kids. Need to have life jackets so air does not release. Snorkeling is done in the middle of ocean and shore. At times difficult to see fishes and turtles.

The boat and the ride was fun. The current in the water was a little strong so it was hard to go snorkeling. The kids really struggled and so did the majority of the adults. Most of the kids held on to a rope or to the boat itself. Would have been nicer in calmer waters. The cost was on the low end. So for the boat ride we enjoyed ourselves

Let me start by saying that I’m used to going to tours where the crew is super fun and wild so I was expecting a lot more from a tour that offers cocktails. To get a drink you basically had to chase someone to get you one because it wasn’t like someone was there standing and serving drinks, they were busy eating their own lunch and chatting. Second, I’m used to crew assisting others that need help getting in and out of boat or at shore or struggling, this crew did not assist at all, you were on your own. So if you really do not know how to snorkel or are a start swimmer, you’re on your own. The turtles, well the snorkelers did not see any, the people on board said they saw 2. Could be that the reason none were around is because besides our boat that area is flooded with like 2 other boats filled with other snorkelers and this scares off the poor turtles. Overall a mediocre experience. Did not really enjoy it and not worth the cost. Would not recommend unless you’re taking it just to go for a cruise.

Great time snorkeling with Alexio, Jonah, Noah and Brandon. Don’t let their youthful look fool you. These guys are courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. My youngest had so much fun she didn’t even realize it was time to go back to the ship! Would do this again in a heartbeat! ♥️

My husband and my kids ages 9 and 14 enjoyed this excursion. It wasn’t too short or too long, just perfect 90 minutes. I was amazed by the professionalism, fun and accommodation by the crew: Alec, Dave and Mina. I had severe motion sickness which was my fault for not taking Dramamine ahead of time. Good thing was the crew was quick and provided me unlimited ice chips and water. I left 2 pairs of our water shoes and wasn’t sure if I can still retrieve it. Happily they kept it until I picked it up today. The whole team and this activity is full of awesomeness. Next time I visit here from the Bay Area, I’ll make sure to do this activity again with this crew.

The guys here are amazing. We had some much fun. They were really funny and conversed with you as well. After we were done looking at the turtles we got drinks, that's because of the package I got. But my sister, my friend and I loved it. It's worth the money, I would highly recommend this adventure and we were actually able to see turtles. They would point out where the turned were and we would take pictures, the ones who had GoPros. One of them even went all the way down and recorded it but I think I might've not hit the recording button so idk if we got the video, that's on me. But still I was so nice fun!!!
