This is my first time joining the Luau dinner with Polynesian Show. When we arrived there was a traditional Hawaiian dance to greeting us. The Luau dinner was tasty. But the line was moving a bit slow. Buffet dinner was starting at 6pm, but when we started getting the food, it was already passed 6:30pm. Not enough time to enjoy the food.
The show was spectacular. Great music and dance including Polynesian and Contemporary choreography. The fire knife dance was scary awesome. I highly recommend this show if you are interested in a lively, entertaining night in Honolulu!

The Luau dinner and Rock-A-Hula are situated at a very convenient location. The Luau buffet-style dinner had many different options including roast pig and dessert. The line was moving a bit slow. Not enough time to enjoy the food. The Rock-A-Show was very good. Really enjoyed the hula dancers and singing. Overall it is a great activity if you like dinner and show.

First time attending to this Luau and Polynesian Show called Rock -A-Hula. The dinner and show took place at a very convienent location along the Waikiki Beach. Getting situated to the seating was very easy. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The dinner itself had a good variety buffet style and was tasty. Overall the line on waiting for the food could have been better. Took me appx 30 minutes before I was lining up for the buffet line. By the time I got my food, only had about 30 minutes left to eat. Felt a little rushed. The Rock-A-Hula definitely is a must see. Very nice production, dancers were great, and singers were impressive. Overall I highly recommend doing this activity.

For the price, and the drinks it was a good experience. However for the customer service could be a little more professional. Jokes are all great but crew members shouldn't be drinking and suggesting that I dance on a pole. Especially if I say no, it should be dropped and I shouldn't be told "i guess you don't like to have fun". Borderline sexual harassment.

Upon arrival to the Luau we were greeted by a young lady selling beautiful purple lei’s. Of course we had to have one not only for the beauty, but the feeling of being welcomed in to the community as well.
The host/dancer/MC/ bartender was extremely friendly with everyone. We were ushered to our seats by a wonderful young man that not only performed at the luau, but also at Rock a Hula. This young man was full of passion for the culture and the love of dance.
The drinks and pineapple were at great start to our dinner as well as the traditional dancing while we waited for the main course.
There was plenty of dishes to chose from including seafood, pork, beef, chicken, and even vegetarian choices. I personally recommend the fried pig skin as it was the absolute most delectable dish we were privy to enjoy during our visit. After dinner we tried each of the 5 different desserts. None of them blow your socks off, but are nonetheless tasty as well. There is also after dinner coffee for those of you who enjoy a nice hot cup of Joe before the Rock a Hula.
You could order drinks during dinner and before the Rock a Hula began as well.
The choice of a local musician and singer was a wonderful way to start the show. The classic Elvis performance seemed to fit the show perfectly and added to the fun filled and interactive show. The only thing that felt out of place was the Michael Jackson performance. While it wasn’t bad, it just didn’t seem to fit in to the rest of the event in general. I would give the luau and Rock a Hula a 7 out of 10 stars.

Exactly as expected and a little more

Overall we got exactly what we were expecting, which, for us, was actually refreshing. So many businesses mislead these days. We were happy with our experience and pleasantly surprised at the Rock A Hula show afterwards.

Our first impression was great. The setup under the large tents and the decor and dishware were all very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were seated quickly and immediately served our complimentary Mai Tai and offered fresh pineapple at the table. We ordered more adult beverages and while they tasted fine, did not seem to have much if any alcohol in them. The MC did a good job of keeping things running smoothly and had an upbeat attitude. We enjoyed the dancers and learning to hula felt very welcoming. They presented the roasted pig with the traditional apple in its mouth. Definitely try some along with the crispy skin. We found the food at the buffet somewhat bland, but that was our experience throughout most of Hawaii.

After dinner we proceeded to the large theater for the show. This presentation is much bigger and longer than we anticipated. We would attend this show by itself without the dinner and pay handsomely for it. The Elvis and MJ impersonators were great! The charisma and crowd interactions of both of them and other entertainers were spot on! The show is a bit long and disjointed though. And while we do love MJ and his songs, some seemed a bit "off-brand" for a Hawaiian themed hula show. Thriller was one, even though the zombies were great and so was Michael.

Overall we'd give the luau and show a 7 out of 10. Food and drinks could be better and show could be shorter and more on-brand. We would still highly recommend it, especially for the price.

Amazing for pre-wedding!

This was a lovely trip! We booked this as a pre-wedding trip for us and our 15 guests (from the UK)
Everyone enjoyed it and had so much fun! The drinks weren't monitored, but between our group it worked out as some had none and some had more! The people on there were lovely. My friend felt really sick as some waves were intense! The staff kept checking on her and gave her tips on how to feel better.
In case it's not thought of - you get onto the boat straight on the beach and have to paddle into the sea (not from a dock or ramp) so be mindful of the clothes you wear or ease of shoes / taking off etc.
We also got a refund for 2 people as they couldn't make it - super service and experience all round !! :) Definitely recommend !

This is my second time on the boat. The sunset viewed from the beach is beautiful enough, but the sunset from here was truly exceptional. It's a good idea to bring a towel since you'll be stepping into the water when boarding and disembarking. Also, the wind can be colder than expected while on the boat, so it's advisable to have a jacket.

The meals were served buffet-style, and I was able to eat until I was full. The flavors were delicious. The focus was on meat, but there were also fish and vegetables available. The seating arrangement during the meal felt a bit cramped. It seems that seats are assigned based on the order of arrival at the venue. During the show, we wore masks while watching. It seemed that not many people around me were wearing masks. There appeared to be many tourists from outside Japan. Some staff members could speak a little Japanese. The hula dance and fire dance were also enjoyable.

I had been going to Hawaii every year, but due to the pandemic, it had been three years since my last visit. Usually, I would watch hula shows on the Big Island, Maui, or Kauai. This time, I was excited to participate in the Rock-a-Hula show in Waikiki for the first time.

The buffet seating was surprisingly cramped, considering the pandemic, and the food was average, so I can't really recommend it. After the meal, we moved to the hall where the show began. Whether or not the performers resembled Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley is another story, but the indoor performance was glamorous and provided a fun time.

If I have someone to take to Hawaii again, I would like to participate once more.

The meal was delicious. However, the VIP guests ended up having their meals in a cramped seating arrangement, so there wasn't really a sense of exclusivity compared to others. The venue for the show isn't very large, so I thought that even seats in the back would be sufficient for viewing without needing to reserve VIP seats. The venue is quite cold, so a jacket is essential. There are impersonators of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, but they might not appeal to those from different generations. The fire show was good.

Since it was my first time in Hawaii, I wanted to go to a luau show on Oahu and did some research. I decided on this one because of its great location in the heart of Waikiki. It's located within the Royal Hawaiian Center, so I could shop as well, and it was very convenient being so close to the hotel.

The evening started with a buffet, and the staff were very friendly. There were people from various countries at the same table, and we all introduced ourselves, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Don't worry if you can't speak English! When I mentioned it was our honeymoon, they even sang a song for us on the spot, which made me really happy.

The food was very American (laughs), and there was so much of it that I ended up quite full. After the meal, we headed to the show venue. The stage was much closer than I expected, and with a live band, it felt like a concert venue. The show started with hula dancing from different eras, followed by impersonators of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. All the songs were familiar, and I had a great time.

The highlight was definitely the fire dance. It was truly breathtaking. Overall, I felt it was worth attending, and I highly recommend it!

食事内容はザ・アメリカンという感じ(笑)とにかく量が多いのでお腹いっぱいになりました。
食事が終わるとショー会場へ。
思ったよりもステージがとても近く、生バンドということもあり、ライブハウスのような感じでした。年代ごとのフラダンスから始まり、エルヴィスプレスリーとマイケルジャクソンのそっくりさんのステージ続きました。聴いたことある曲ばかりでとても楽しめました。
そしてなりよりも凄かったのがファイヤーダンスです。とにかく圧巻でした。全体を通して行ってよかったと思いました。おすすめです！

What an amazing way to culturally connect with the indigenous peoples of Hawaii by sailing the beautiful waters like how our ancestors did. Amazing stories, singing, food and interactive activities and seeing the dolphins and honu (turtles) swimming alongside our wa’a (waka/ boat) was magical! We were well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and relaxed hospitality. Definitely recommend this to people who are looking for an authentic, educational and fun experience of Hawaii. When I handed over the voucher, they guided me to my seat. The seat was a bit far from the stage, but there were some spontaneous hula dancers, which made it lively. Regarding the order, when I showed the paper, they only asked about the main dish, and since there were two of us, we received one of each type. I was very satisfied with the attentive service. The portion sizes were quite generous, and I couldn't finish everything. I definitely want to go again.

At the reception, I was asked to sign various documents, and when I showed the VELTRA voucher, I was handed an iPad, so I had to complete some procedures on the iPad as well—I'm not sure why that was necessary.

You’ll be walking through a lot of sand and even getting your feet wet before boarding, so beach sandals might be a good choice! We wore sneakers, so we ended up going barefoot.

The fireworks are brief, so it’s more about enjoying the night view of the beach while drinking from the sea. I was satisfied.

受付で諸々についてのサインをさせられますが、VELTRAのバウチャーを見せたところiPadを渡されてiPad上での手続きも必要でした～なんでかな？
乗船までは埋もれるくらいの砂を歩き水にも浸かるのでので履物はビーチサンダルが良いかも!私達はスニーカーだったので裸足になりました。

We participated in this tour at the beginning of our honeymoon. Since it was both of our first trips to Hawaii, this tour, which combined "food" and "entertainment," felt like a great deal.

**Buffet Dinner**
The dinner venue was filled with people from various nationalities, not just Japanese. Everyone had different reasons for joining; there were honeymooners like us, as well as those celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries. The food was prioritized for VIP seating, so the wait time felt a bit long, but during that time, the staff came to chat with us and even sang celebratory songs with a ukulele, which made the wait enjoyable. The buffet menu featured a colorful array of Hawaiian fish, meat, vegetables, and sweet potatoes, allowing us to enjoy not just the taste but also the presentation. There were also hula lessons during the meal, making it hard to decide whether to watch or eat, and before we knew it, dinner time was over. I regretted not having enough time to go for a second round! (laughs) Overall, the cast members were cheerful and friendly, and we had a great time chatting with others at our table.

**Showtime**
After dinner, we moved to the hall where the "Rock-a-Hula Show" began. The seating was mostly open, and aside from the VIP designated seats, we could sit anywhere there was space. The cast members from the dinner also performed as dancers, so it was fun to spot our server from earlier! The show featured a mix of different eras and genres, which was very interesting. The performances by local professional singers, as well as the cast members impersonating Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, were fantastic. Even songs we didn't know were enjoyable, and there was a rich variety of dance styles and highlights. Dancers descended from the ceiling, and surfboards were used on stage—such impressive staging! There were also traditional Hawaiian music and dance performances, with explanations in between, making it a time of both enjoyment and learning. 夫婦揃ってハワイ旅行が初めてということもあり、「食」と「エンターテインメント」がセットになったこちらのツアーはとてもお得感がありました。

ディナー会場には 日本人だけでなく、さまざまな国籍の方がいます。また、参加のきっかけも人それぞれで、私たちのようなハネムーナーもいればお誕生日の方や結婚記念日のご夫婦など、特別な日を祝いに来ている方がたくさんいらっしゃいました。料理はVIP席の方が優先なので、取りに行けるまでの待ち時間は少し長めに感じましたが、その間にもスタッフの方が話し掛けにきてくださったり、ウクレレでお祝いの歌を歌ってくださったりと、ただ「待つ」だけではなかったのが嬉しかったです。
ビュッフェメニューもハワイのお魚やお肉・野菜やお芋が色とりどりに揃っており、味だけでなく見た目も楽しめました。食事の途中でもフラ講座などがあり、そちらも見たいしご飯も食べたいしで、あっという間のディナータイム。二周目を取りに行く間もなく食事の時間が終わってしまったのが悔やまれる……！(笑) とにかく、案内のキャストさんたちがとても朗らかで親しみやすく、近くの席になった他の皆さんともワイワイ盛り上がりました。

ショータイム
食事が終わると、ホールに移動していよいよ「ロック・ア・フラショー」が始まります。客席はほとんど自由席になっており、VIPの指定席以外は空いていればどこでも座れました。ディナー会場にいたキャストさんもダンサーとして登壇しているので、「あ！さっきのお兄さんだ！」と自分の席の担当キャストさんを探すのもまた一興。ショーの内容も、年代・ジャンルもあれこれ散りばめられていてたいへん興味深かったです。
現地のプロシンガーさんのオリジナルソングや、エルヴィス・プレスリーやマイケル・ジャクソンに扮するキャストさんのパフォーマンスも素晴らしく、知っている曲はもちろんのこと、知らない曲でもノリノリで楽しめます。また、歌だけでなく踊りの種類や見どころも豊富で、天井からダンサーさんが降りてきたり、舞台上でサーフボードを乗り回したりと、演出もお見事！ハワイの伝統的な音楽や踊りの演目もあり、合間には解説もしてくれるので、愉しむだけではなく学びもあるひとときでした。個人的に一番印象的だったのは、ファイアー・ダンス。身体の小さな少年が、全身で炎を操りながら踊る姿は圧巻で、息を呑みながら見守り、決めポーズでは感動の鳥肌とともに大きな拍手を贈りました。終演後はロビーでキャストさんたちと面会・記念写真撮影もできるので、気持ちが熱いうちに感想を直接伝えられるのが最高に嬉しかったです。

参加してから少し経っているにもかかわらず、楽しかった思い出をひとつひとつ振り返っていたら 感想が長くなってしまいました。しかし、どれだけ長く書いたところで、「百聞は一見に如かず」です。味覚・聴覚・視覚・嗅覚・触覚……まさに、全身でハワイを浴びられるツアーだと思います。ぜひ！

Waikiki Luau with All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Dinner, Fire Dance & Rock-A-Hula Show

Good value, Loved the show!

The show was great! The Michael Jackson and Elvis impersonators were super! The luau was what we expected; we normally don't do buffets. But the food was plentiful and the Mai Tai was great! Every employee had a smile on their face and seemed really happy that we were there. I can't say enough about the show; it made the night a real good value!

My wife and I participated on the last night of our honeymoon. We had dinner at the dining venue on the 4th floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, and then we went to the show. The traditional Hawaiian dances and the Michael Jackson show were a lot of fun and made for a fantastic day. The food was delicious, and the meat was exquisite. During the show, I got to shake hands with Michael and received a towel from Elvis. The program kept the audience engaged with various songs and dances, and time flew by quickly. I definitely want to recommend this to anyone going to Hawaii when I return to Japan! Thank you!

奥さんとハネムーンで最終日の夜に参加しました。
ロイヤルハワイアンセンターの4階にある食事会場でご飯を食べその後ショーに行く流れでした。
ハワイの伝統的なダンスやマイケルジャクソンのショーはとても楽しく最高の一日になりました。
料理も美味しくお肉は絶品でした。
ショーの途中でマイケルと握手をしたり、エルビスからタオルを貰ったりと観客を飽きさせない構成、次々と色々な歌やダンスが繰り広げられあっという間に時間が経ってしまいました。
