The tour was conducted only in English, but even for us, who hardly speak any English, we managed just fine. It's not guaranteed that you'll definitely see whales, but they extended the time by about an hour beyond the scheduled time, and we were able to see them. I was really happy that they were so flexible.

Even though I had seen Waikiki from the ocean on TV, the actual scenery was amazing. Even if we hadn't seen any whales, it was a tour that left us completely satisfied! If I come to Hawaii during the whale watching season again, I will definitely want to join this tour.

It would be better if there were Japanese staff present.

Loved this funky yellow catamaran. The people were very helpful. It was my 2 nd time snorkeling and was really nervous about swimming in the ocean. Dillan was great life guard also gave me an extra float so that I feel more secure.
The views the music the drinks and the people were fantastic on this catamaran.
I would highly recommend this tour.
Only recommendation is to probably do the morning cruise as we spotted only 1 sea turtle which was very still. At the very bottom of the ocean floor and extremely few fishes.
Infact we saw more fishes at the sand box.
I would highly recommend it because we had a blast in this trip. It was my husbands 50th birthday and he loved it.

Let's join this tour with an open mind, haha!

First, the staff arrived about 20 minutes late from the meeting time! Well, since the other participants didn't complain, I'll take it as a good sign.

Also, once we got on the boat, there was a long explanation, but it was all in English! (By the way, the email we received right before also came in English, so I used a translation app to understand the content.)

Anyway, after listening to the explanation, we dove in! We saw so many turtles, it was amazing!

On the way back, we even encountered dolphins. It would have been perfect if I understood English, but I still had a great time!

First of all, I want to point out that all explanations from the reception until the end were in English. There was no broken Japanese, so those who can't speak English have to tough it out... (laughs) However, they conveyed the important parts through gestures, so I was able to understand somewhat.

Whether it was the location or just luck, we were able to see a lot of sea turtles. I left my smartphone on the boat, so I couldn't take any pictures, but having a water-resistant camera would be even better.

After snorkeling, we went sailing, and the sailing time was longer than I expected (laughs). Many people ended up feeling seasick, so motion sickness medication is a must.

That said, it was a course where we could enjoy beautiful fish, sea turtles, and the atmosphere of Hawaii on the boat, and I had a great time!

まず初めに注意して頂きたいのが、受付から解散までずっと英語での説明です。カタコト日本語とかも無いので英語ができない人は気合いで乗り切るしかありません…(笑)ただ重要な部分はジェスチャーで伝えてくれたのでなんとなくは理解することが出来ました。日本人参加者は私たち以外にいなかったので、他の参加者の方に聞くこともできませんでした…。

場所が良かったのか、運が良かったのか、ウミガメもたくさん見ることができました。スマホは船上に置いてきてしまったので撮影はできなかったのですが、水濡れOKのカメラがあるとなおいいかもしれません。

シュノーケリングが終わったあとはセーリングなのですが、セーリングの時間が思った以上に長いです(笑)船酔いしてしまう人が続出だったので、酔い止めは必須です。

とはいえ、綺麗な魚もウミガメも船上でハワイの風などの雰囲気も楽しめるコースとなっており、とても満喫出来ました！

The whole crew were so kind and took care of everyone immediately. They checked in on everyone when we were all in the ocean. I went during a solo trip and it was definitely a highlight! Also drank 2 delicious mai tais on the way back. Saw two big turtles and the most beautiful fish all around! Defs book this whether solo or with your own crew!

The captain and crew were engaging, fun and so very very kind. As a heavy traveler I don’t often put myself out there unless I KNOW I can do all of the activity. I was worried about being able to get out of the water after snorkeling. They never once made me feel like I was a pain, uncomfortable, or “less than” that is not a typical experience, so not only did they get my business for the snorkeling trip, I also went on their sunset cruise for the next two days. Overview:
The meeting point is the Holocai Catamaran booth located on the beach side of the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort on the first floor of the hotel. If you're unsure, you can enter the hotel from the Steak Shack side and walk towards the abc store to find it.

There, you check in. There are about 12 participants. Since the boat will be moored on the sandy beach, you'll need to take off your sandals to board. About four strong men will be your guides. They look impressive, like old-time sailors from a movie. As I listened to the explanations (in English), we soon moved to an area where we could see honu (sea turtles). (I didn't feel much rocking.) Most participants were foreigners, with only a few Japanese. You can borrow snorkeling sets and life jackets. Wearing the jacket is mandatory, but whether to inflate it is up to personal judgment. Beginners should inflate it, while experienced snorkelers who want to dive can keep it deflated. The spots where honu are found are crowded with various tour groups, so we shared the space and slowly approached the honu together. We observed the honu as they surfaced for air, keeping a respectful distance. The guide provided friendly explanations and directed us on where to go. However, in the latter half, things became less organized, and people started to act freely, so it's good to occasionally look up to see where the guide is or swim towards the direction of someone calling out "Holokai!" When there was a honu underwater, I borrowed an underwater camera from another guest (I used a GoPro), and the guide dove down to take close-up shots. It was a wonderful memory. After observing for a while, we returned to the boat and had free time sailing around Waikiki's waters. Soft drinks were free, while alcohol was available for purchase (ID is only required when buying; if you don't plan to buy, you don't need an ID). Participants freely took photos and relaxed on the net at the front of the boat... The guide was always cheerful and even spoke a little Japanese when he realized we were from Japan... We spent a leisurely time on our way back...

Impression:
Of course, it depends on the weather and waves that day, but in my case, I hardly felt any rocking and was very comfortable. It's not particularly Japanese-friendly, and the vibe and way of speaking are completely native, but they don't say anything too difficult, and if you ask, they will teach you very friendly. If the weather is nice, you might get sunburned, so I recommend bringing long sleeves and sunglasses. If you have an underwater camera, I definitely recommend bringing it. そこで受付。参加人数は12名ほど。砂浜にボートがつくのでサンダルを脱いで乗船。屈強な男たち4名ほどがガイドをしてくれる。かっこいい。映画の中の昔の船乗りみたいにかっこいい。なんとなく説明(英語)を聞いているといつの間にかホヌ(ウミガメ)がいる辺りに移動。(あまり揺れは感じませんでいた)参加者の多くは外国人。日本人はわずか。借りれるのはシュノーケリングセットと救命ジャケット。ジャケットは着用マストだがふくらませるかどうかは個人判断。初心者なら膨らませ、経験者で潜水したい場合は空気を入れなければ良い。ホヌがいるスポットは様々はツアーの客が群がっているので、譲り合ってゆっくりみんなでホヌに近づく。息継ぎのために水面まで上がってくるホヌを一定の距離を保ちながら観察。ガイドがフレンドリーに説明をしてくれたりどっちに行くかを案内してくれる。ただ後半は段々と統率がなくなってきて自由に行動し始めるので、たまには顔を上げてガイドがどこにいるのか、またはホロカイ！と声を上げているほうへ泳いで迷子にならないように。水下にホヌがいたときは、水中カメラを持っている客から(私はgopro)借りて、ガイドが下まで潜って間近で撮影してくれた。とてもいい思い出。ある程度観察したら船に戻り、残りの時間をワイキキの海をセーリングしながら自由時間。ソフトドリングは無料。アルコールは有料(購入時だけIDが必要。その予定なければIDは要らない)参加者各々が自由に写真を撮ったり船先端にある網？の上で寛いだり…ガイドは常に明るく接してくれたり、日本から来たとわかると少し覚えている日本語を話してくれたり…かなりゆったりと時間を過ごしながら帰路へ…

感想：
もちろんその日の天気や波に寄りますが、私の場合、揺れはほとんど気にならず、とても快適に過ごせました。日本語フレンドリーではありませんし、完全にネイティブのノリや喋り方ですが、そこまで難しいことは言いませんししませんし、聞けばとてもフレンドリーに教えてくれます。天気がいい場合、日焼けするので長袖やサングラスを持ってくと良いと思います。水中カメラはあれば是非とも持っていくことをおすすめします。
船から降りた後は目の前にステークシャックがあるので、そのままお昼に食べました。

もちろん海外なノリが多いため、苦手な方は考慮されたほうが良いですが、とても気分の良い、南国にきたなーーーーと思える体験でした。特に何を強要されるわけでもなく、各々が自由に旅行を謳歌している、そんな雰囲気でした。

I was able to see about 3 turtles and an octopus. They don’t go too far out and it’s a pretty quick trip if you want to see some sea life and also do other things with your day. The catamaran ride was smooth and I enjoyed the short ride. Had a cocktail on our way back. Crew was friendly and couldn’t ask for a better time. Oh the music was great too!!

I only understand a little English, but when it comes to snorkeling, just communicate your fin size in US sizes, and once you're in the water, you can follow the staff without any issues. There were many sea turtles and beautiful fish!

On the boat, just sit back and enjoy without doing anything dangerous! The staff was very kind, providing cold water as a service and being attentive to the passengers, which made the experience very enjoyable.

The meeting place is at the location on Google Maps listed on this site, where you should look for the boat labeled "MOANA." The meeting time is 7:30, and we boarded around 8:00. The staff called out to us near the boat around that time. I highly recommend it!

The water was murky and visibility was not very good, which was disappointing. Since we departed in the early afternoon, it might have been murky because of that. If we had gone in the early morning, the sea might have been calm and clear, allowing for better visibility. However, I was able to experience the thrill of navigating through the 30-meter deep sea.

Snorkeling is a family favorite and we booked a tour with Island Splash Tours as part of a birthday celebration. It was such an absolute pleasure going out with Captain Preston and Alex. We are in Hawaii fairly often and are looking forward to future tours with them. We really appreciated their knowledgeable approach to staying safe and making it fun for all of us. It was much more of a private experience compared to the tours we have taken on the larger boats and it made it all the more special. Everything from helping us select the best time of day to making sure everyone had a wonderful experience was done with such thoughtfulness and professionalism. A “little bird” even told Captain Preston about a family song that he made a point to play as we can back into the harbor. We all felt spoiled and loved every moment of our tour.
