Liz was our instructor/guide and she was awesome! She made sure that we were comfortable in water all the time. She helped us see fish and shells. She took great videos for us to take home. Also, she found a sea urchin skeleton for my son to take home as a souvenir! Thank you so much, Liz! We had a great time! :)

Quick snorkel trip

The boat was clean and the staff were friendly. We saw lots of fish and turtles. We only snorkeled for maybe 30 minutes before it was time to head back. I wish it was a little longer. Also they don’t have snorkles for people with glasses so keep in mind you may need contacts.

Amazing Experience!

It was super windy when we went out but we actually ended up getting a private boat ride since none of the other couples showed up. The crewmembers were incredible and more than accommodating with all of our needs and with my pregnant wife. I would highly recommend choosing to go on the Moana catamaran and we are planning on going back next time we visit Hawaii!

It was okay!

The staff were really nice and the boat ride was cool. It was only 10 minute ride out to the snorkel spot and the drinks are served after the snorkeling, so there wasn't time to have advertised 3 drinks (which is fine, but jut something you should be aware of). The location itself does have sea turtles but the water is fairly deeps and the overall experience (as far as what one would expect) is pretty lack luster. Another tour operator was in the same location and they had a guide pointing out fish, turtles, etc. to ensure everyone got the opportunity to see the marine life, but this tour did not. Also, if you have your own PFD, bring it! My first PFD didn't hold air (a fun surprise) and the second one was at least 1/2 deflated by the time I got out. All in all, it was an okay time but I wouldn't do it again.

I’m glad I did my research in looking for the best turtle and snorkel cruise because this company surpassed my expectations!! The employees were outstanding, wonderful lunch provided and a couple drinks to top it off. We saw turtles, eels, flying fish, and other tropical fish!! Then they took us out farther to find whales after lunch and we did get a few glimpses of some whales:) fun was had by all!!! Thank you !!!!

I was a little hesitant when I initially booked this, just because of the price. But, WOW I was wrong. Such a great experience, the boys on the boat were great to work with and knowledgeable. All that was promised was not fulfilled on this snorkel tour. The staff was nice. I got a little sea sick and they took care of me. But the experience was nothing like what they promised. It was a party boat not a snorkel tour. I would not recommend to any families.

This experience was amazing.The pick up location was super easy to find. Staff were so funny and friendly. We got out in the water and the staff swam with us to lead us to the turtles. We saw so many sea turtles. I definitely recommend doing this at least once in your lifetime.I'd love to do this again on my next trip to Oahu!

This was a fantastic experience! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable crew. I appreciated the brief snorkel lesson and tips. We were able to see turtles, a variety of fish, and during the sailing portion dolphins and whales. Overall great experience with no complaints! Favorite snorkel boat!

Love, love, LOVE this boat! It's a beach catamaran so no transportation is needed. Plus, they provide you with FINS that are super comfy and adjustable. After snorkeling, you get some snacks and can purchase drinks on board. We got the souvenir Holokai shaker to keep. We did the 9am cruise which was perfect for visibility and to catch a little bit of sun before it got too hot in the afternoon. Would recommend!

No frills catamaran sail in Waikiki, lots of Turtles

With this cruise, we were provided with snorkels and snorkel vests. However, no fins are included. I'd recommend finding some fin rentals as it can be pretty exhausting to snorkel without them. Saw lots of turtles and fish! This catamaran is also a beach catamaran so the boat comes right up on the sand. It's right across from Duke's Statue (not to be confused with Duke's Waikiki restaurant). If you'd like a short activity in Waikiki to get out on the water, this is perfect! We did the AM cruise and visibility was perfect.

SPACIOUS catamaran, great visibility, lots of fish

This catamaran is super nice! Since it was an early snorkel cruise, we opted to add-on a light breakfast so we could sleep in a bit more in the AM. Visibility was amazing. On the boat ride to the snorkel spot, we were so lucky and saw dolphins. This is incredibly rare in Waikiki so we were so excited to have gotten the chance to see them! There were tons of fish at Turtle Canyon. This boat provided us with floatation belts AND fins. The fins helped us out so much and we were able to cover so much more area than if we didn't use them. Loved this cruise & would recommend!

Overall this snorkel adventure isn’t that great there is only one small reef with maybe 3 turtles and that’s it. Also you are swimming around 3-4 other boats that have about 20 people each so it gets really packed really fast in the small little area. It’s a good beginner snorkel trip but if you are wanting to get a quality experience with a big reef to swim around I would look elsewhere

There are a lot of similar experiences down here, but this crew is tried and true. They have been doing this longer and better than the competition out there, and the experience is truly for those who want a no nonsense visit to turtle canyon. Took my wife and 6 year old son on the morning snorkel cruise. It was conveniently located and easy to navigate finding. Mina and the team were very helpful, accommodating and ensured that we had an awesome time . We spotted about 5 turtles and tons of schools of fish.

Fun excursion!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was a really fun experience. We got to see turtles and spinner dolphins! It was a great way for us to end our trip in Hawaii. It is recommended though to know swimming well if you want to snorkel as the life jackets are not buoyant enough to keep you afloat.

I get this on every tour, but newbies need instructions on how not to be rude. Don’t flip in my face. Stop swarming at me, and please… there is no reason to flail your appendages rampantly for no reason when there are 50 swimmer right next to you. Please explain this to swimmers before hand. In fact, in a small area, there is no reason for flippers. This would have been much more enjoyable if no one had them.

Turtles were neat. I would not tell anyone else if you see one because everyone swarms and hits you in the face/gut/you name it, as they flail to see it.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids 9yr old and 6yr old). Instructor was very patient enough to guide us how to snorkel. He provided us some tricks to make snorkeling easier for beginners. He was always there to help us out and made us feel comfortable. Except for my spouse everyone else in the group are non-swimmers, the instructor helped us navigate through the water, and to top it he took amazing videos of us while snorkeling :)

An Incredible Experience

The crew from Moana Catamaran were awesome, laid back, and super helpful the entire experience! The classic island music, the weather, the catamaran.. all the vibes were perfect!

We saw a couple schools of Dolphins on the surface (which I believe is NOT common, so keep that in mind if you book!) and saw about 8-9 sea turtles during our time in the water. A few of them hung around the whole time and swam towards us so close we had to swim away to give them the distance they need.

The crew gave us everything we needed- snorkels, fins, and a floaty to make things super easy for our time in the water. I really enjoyed that it was a waist floaty and not a neck inflatable one like some of the other boats out there. Made it much more enjoyable.

Overall, we were mesmerized by the turtles and the fish / sea life that surrounded us, and had an amazing crew to take us to it. 10/10, 5/5, whatever you want to take from this. My wife said this was "the most amazing experience of her life", and I might even agree. :)
