It was much more enjoyable than a large ship cruise, as it felt more immersive. There were only us and one other group of Japanese people, which was nice. Since it was an all-you-can-drink option, everyone quickly got into a cheerful mood! The Mai Tai was delicious too! The staff was lively and very friendly! I also had a great time talking with a family that came from Alaska. However, when the sails were lowered, it became quite windy, so a jacket is a must.

I had a great time. Honestly, one of the highlights of my trip. I met some awesome people on the cruise. The only suggestion I would make is to have it be like a real bar in which people can drink what they want. There wasn’t a good variety of drinks for $60 per person but it was still an awesome experience. However the staff had great customer service skills and I’m all about that. Austin the bartender was dope! The most I’ve ever tipped a bartender in my life.

I boarded the ship, listened to lively music, enjoyed delicious drinks, and watched the sunset. The location was absolutely perfect! It's no problem at all if you don't understand English. I was thrilled when I spotted a whale in the distance. I went in January, and it was a bit chilly, so I think those participating in the winter should bring a thicker jacket, like a hoodie, instead of just a cardigan to enjoy without worrying about the cold. I want to ride again and again!

I stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki, so I decided to enjoy the fireworks from the sea. It was convenient since the boat departs right in front of the hotel. The fireworks and the night view from the water were absolutely beautiful. Also, I felt lucky because I could see a lot of stars. The captain and his crewmate were perfectly pleasant (and very attractive), but did very little to connect with the group. They did, however, seem very competent in their sailing abilities, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the trip.

We happened to have three "Instagram girlfriends" who made the trip pretty amusing with their selfie/photoshoot antics. They seemed to be having a blast, and it was easy to let them have their fun, while we laughed with them.

Additionally, we did the sunset sail, and passed a bunch of monohull sailboats, loaded with passengers counterweighting their boats and waving to us during the trip. Such beautiful sights (sunset on the water, gorgeous Waikiki/Honolulu area, beautiful water, and getting to see the monohulls slicing through the water)!

I was overall very pleased with the experience for such an affordable price. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

It was amazing! I found this tour when I was hesitant about the large dinner cruises. It was a small group, and since there were hardly any Japanese people, the atmosphere was lively and very much like a party abroad! Some people got completely soaked from the splashes, but they enjoyed it nonetheless. The Mai Tai, which is also the name of the boat, comes right from the tap (laughs). Don't forget to bring a jacket, wear something that can get wet, and if you're drinking, make sure to bring your ID. I will definitely join again next time.

I made a reservation as a reward for completing the Honolulu Marathon in December! I was worried about whether it would take place since it often rains during this time. When I arrived at the meeting point, there were a lot of people gathered. I thought it would be good to prepare the following: 1) a windbreaker or raincoat, 2) bottoms that I expected would get wet up to my knees, 3) personally, I wanted leg warmers that I wouldn't mind getting wet since my body would get cold in the second half, 4) I would take off my shoes, and 5) a plastic bag that I could carry diagonally over my shoulder to hold these items (there is storage available, but it might not be usable due to the large number of people). First, I showed my voucher at the nearby desk, then took off my sandals to enter the designated beach. Once the cruising started, the drink bar opened, and the staff served us. We moved to a point where we could enjoy the sunset, but during that time, they let us enjoy some surfing, so be careful of splashes and seasickness. By the way, motion sickness medication is sold at LAWSON in Sheraton Waikiki. After watching the sunset, we enjoyed the night view of Waikiki from the sea for a while. When we went, there were about half Japanese and half people from other countries. There were various people, some actively enjoying conversations and others quietly enjoying the scenery and drinks. It was much more fun than I had imagined!
Turning off the engine and moving with the power of the wind felt really nice.
It was enjoyable to sail through the blue sea before sunset and to see Diamond Head, and the sunset was, of course, beautiful.
The two staff members always kept the atmosphere lively, making it a fun experience throughout.

Points to note:
- Depending on where you sit, you might get splashed by the waves (if you don't sit at the edge, you won't get wet at all).

We visited Hawaii as a family for my sister's wedding, participating in a sunset sailing tour with my family (children aged 11 and 5), my brother's family (children aged 7 and 4), and our parents (over 60). Everyone, including my parents, was very satisfied and enjoyed the tour. To help those who will participate in the future, I will share my experience step by step.

(1) "Reservation"
I made the reservation through the VELTRA website. There were no particular issues, and the application process was straightforward. Since there were 10 family members participating, I made the reservation as early as possible. I believe changes to the number of participants or cancellations were possible, so I recommend making an early reservation.

(2) "Check-in (on the day)"
We participated around late November. Since we were informed that the check-in time was at 4:30 PM, we made sure to arrive 15 minutes early. However, we had some time to spare before boarding (I can't remember the exact time, but it was around 4:45 PM or 5 PM), which made us feel a bit idle. The meeting point was a small beach near the Sheraton, and if the wait is long, it might get boring. If you know the exact meeting location, I think it's fine to head there right at the check-in time (4:30 PM).

(3) "Boarding"
We boarded the yacht that was docked at the beach near the Sheraton Hotel. This is my second time participating. I want to ride the Mai Tai Catamaran as many times as possible. When I rode it about five or six years ago, there were mostly foreigners and only us Japanese, but this time about half of the participants were Japanese... it's increasing! The sunset from the sea, Diamond Head, the Waikiki skyline, and if you're lucky, a rainbow! It was raining on and off during the day, but by the departure time, it cleared up and everything was wonderful. The staff's way of getting everyone excited was also great, making it a memorable tour. The catamaran is the best!!!

二回目の参加です。何回でも乗りたいマイタイ・カタマラン号。５、６年前に乗った時はほぼ外国人で日本人は私たちだけでしたが、今回は半分くらいが日本人・・・増えてきましたね。海からのサンセットとダイアモンドヘッドとワイキキのビル群そして、運が良ければレインボー！　当日は昼から時々雨も降っていましたが、出発時間には晴れてきて全てが素晴らしかったです。
スタッフさんの盛り上げ方も上手で思い出に残るツアーですね。
カタマラン最高！！！
