Waikiki
It was raining. The show has been canceled. Hotel should have roof cover.
We're so sorry we had to cancel your show. We are working on finding a solution to keep you dry and entertained in the future.
I only experienced the show, but I'm really glad I went. It was just around sunset, and the terrace seating area was very beautiful and pleasant. The heartfelt performances by all the performers were wonderful, and the content was fulfilling, allowing me to have a truly lovely time. I made several reservations for experiences this time, but I think this was the most meaningful one. I definitely want to visit again.
I really love this show! As a Maui local, I really loved seeing a show that was only Hawaiian hula. I understand Tahitian can be a bit more "exciting" for tourists, but the Na Lei Aloha group were captivating the whole show! The host (I believe his name was Keoki, forgive me if I'm wrong!) was engaging and explained all of the numbers in a very digestible way. The girls were gorgeous, the boys were funny, and the musicians were incredibly talented.
The dinner portion was amazing as well! An all you can eat buffet that included king crab legs and a prime rib station. Everything was delicious! The first drink (mai tai) was included, and we ordered 1 additional round of drinks (which were SO MUCH stronger that we didn't need another).
Overall just a truly wonderful experience.
Doing the dinner portion is absolutely worth it!
Aloha Ren, it means a lot to us when we get a positive review from a local. As the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, our primary mission is to promote Hawaiian culture and uplift Hawaiians. You're right, Keoki was your emcee, and he's very talented at guiding guests through their experience. Please come back any time!

I had a spectacular experience at the Na Lei Aloha Show! The location is within walking distance from most hotels in Waikiki. The food was the best I've ever had at a luau. The all-you-can-eat buffet at Hyatt Hotel features perfectly cooked prime ribs, short ribs, and pork ribs. It's a seafood lover's paradise! They have high quality snow crab legs, made-to-order sushi, poke station, an incredible variety of salads, hot dishes, and an impressive selection of desserts. It’s hard to pick favorites because every dish was outstanding, I can't wait to go back.
The setting had a lovely intimate atmosphere, and the servers were attentive to every detail. The show was absolutely delightful, highlighting Hawaiian culture and the significance of the Lei, showcasing a wide array of flowers used to create these meaningful flower necklaces. The dancers were incredibly talented, and the storytelling was captivating—I couldn't stop smiling!
Mahalo nui! We are so happy you enjoyed your time with us at Na Lei Aloha! Your support of this show also supports our efforts to promote regenerative tourism in Hawai'i, providing a quality and culturally authentic experience for visitors as well as an enhanced quality of life for local residents. We hope to see you again soon!

As we walked in we were greeted with a beautiful cold lei that made us feel welcomed. The location was perfect for Waikiki away from the crowds with stunning views of the ocean/sunset. The food was truly out of this world from just about every thing you could possibly think of. Sushi, meats, a quality salad bar, Korean BBQ, and not to mention the yummy dessert bar. Food for every pallet in the family.
The show was truly engaging, sweet, and wholesome. Based on the history of Waikiki and the importance of flowers being made into leis. Not like any other show i've seen on island. The duration of the activity was perfect, not too long not too short didn't feel rushed to eat or didn't feel like the show was dragging on. Would definitely recommend this for couples and friends looking to celebrate in a unique way.
Mahalo TravelGoddess! We love your comments about everything and especially about the food, the uniqueness of performance and appreciate your recommendations and sharing it with anyone traveling to the islands. Aloha.
The crew was very friendly and helpful. I learned a lot about Hawaiian culture from them.
Our family -seniors and adult children-were delighted with the sunset sail. It was the best thing I did in Oahu. We learned about Hawaiian values, the significance of the leis, danced some hula steps, and the men pounded taro. It was fun, staff was excellent, and we ended with a chant to the sunset. Everyone was so glad we did this. Highly recommended.
This was a charming, intimate, beautiful, culturally informative, entertaining, and interactive experience from end to end. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My husband and I embarked on the sunset tour and I will save up my dollars and do it again in the future. The 4 person crew covered more things than I expected. They are very passionate about their home and it’s history, and educate and support many different people besides tourists. This is a good way to start a visit to the island as it will add more perspective to your visit overall.
What an amazing way to culturally connect with the indigenous peoples of Hawaii by sailing the beautiful waters like how our ancestors did. Amazing stories, singing, food and interactive activities and seeing the dolphins and honu (turtles) swimming alongside our wa’a (waka/ boat) was magical! We were well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and relaxed hospitality. Definitely recommend this to people who are looking for an authentic, educational and fun experience of Hawaii. Mahalo!
Yes, it's early. But, we LOVED the early sail. Less boats on the water and calmer ocean conditions. If you're looking for a unique cultural experience, this is it. We did the morning cruise and were the only 2 guests on the boat which was really cool. The boat limits capacity to 6-guests. As a local resident, I really liked how the two main hosts of the cultural experience and the Captain were Kamehameha graduates. This boat also offers midday cruises and sunset. Overall, the morning sail was calm and one of the truly unique sails here on Oahu.
My partner and I absolutely loved their sunset cruise! Their entire crew was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and fun. The day we boarded was just myself, my partner and another family of four, which made it a very relaxing and peaceful day experience. The music, food, and history was something we will never forget. Even though the water was calm that day, don’t forget dramamine if you get easily sea sick like myself! I felt so bad for probably looking so uncomfortable, because it’s absolutely a once in a lifetime experience! We are so grateful for the chance to have been on board with them.
I highly recommend the Kamoauli Waikiki Sunset Cruise!
I was looking for something unique to surprise the love of my life while visiting the Island of O‘ahu. I came across the Kamoauli and I'm so glad I did! It was an amazing experience!!! We were able to sail during sunset and soak up so much Hawaiian culture. This was truly different than any other advertised cruise. It truly felt like we were in a different world. We got a chance to get away from the hustle & bustle of Waikiki and escaped to our own little paradise on the water. We felt a sense of peace. We danced, learned about the history of Waikiki and listened to beautiful music throughout the cruise. Did I say the food was authentic Hawaiian food and delicious! This was such a memorable experience and to be able to share it with the man I love was..... priceless! I love you R!
A huge Mahalo to the captain and crew!
Mahalo for the wonderful review!
