Last time (December 2019), there were 10 routes, making it difficult to choose, but due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, there were only 4 routes available this time. There are four color-coded routes, with the pink route primarily providing hotel transfers to Ala Moana Shopping Center. This time, I used the red route for downtown and the green route for Diamond Head and a local snack restaurant. The driver provided very polite travel guidance and personalized service. Although it was in English, the Hawaiian accent made it a bit difficult for Japanese speakers to understand. Please note that except for the pink route, the other routes run once an hour, with the last departure from the starting point at 3 PM.

Since I arranged my own flights and hotel, I couldn't ride on the so-called tour trolley.

It was great that I could ride the Purple Line and go all the way to Pearl Harbor. I found out that the one-day unlimited pass actually becomes valid for two days when I received it. Unfortunately, I had already planned to be almost nowhere near Waikiki on the second day, so I wish I had known that before my trip.

It was a very worthwhile pass that allowed us to go all the way to Diamond Head. The boarding area in the DFS basement was a bit hard to find, but we were able to get smooth assistance from the staff there.

Since we are traveling independently without going through a major travel agency, we purchased this ticket because we couldn't use the travel agency's exclusive trolley bus. However, it turns out that the only lines where you need to show the ticket are the Red Line and Green Line. On the morning of August 3rd, around 8 AM, we went from in front of the Hyatt to Diamond Head. The driver's talk was excellent. I want to rate this as the best part of the trip. It was so much fun.

They even take photos while stopped! It’s not just a means of getting around; you can explore the Waikiki area while listening to the enjoyable stories from the drivers. This was my first time in Hawaii, so I planned to get around using the trolley. I think it was especially valuable for us as a senior couple. We went through all the routes and were able to get on and off multiple times, which I believe was a great deal. I definitely think seniors should take advantage of this.

Did you know that there is a "Senior Discount" for the trolley? I have used the trolley many times, but this is the first time I learned about the discount. For our family trip, we only used it for my mother (72 years old), but of course, the savings went towards something "delicious." They didn't ask for any proof when exchanging tickets (just a visual check by the attendant).

I highly recommend the Blue Line! It feels amazing!

I was told by a friend that it would be better to move by taxi, but after trying this trolley, which is not available in Japan, I can say it was refreshing and pleasant. I took the Blue Line to Hanauma Bay. I also frequently used the Pink Line for shopping.

The "Waikiki Trolley 4-Day Unlimited Ride Coupon" is definitely a great deal. For seniors (62 years and older), it's only $27, while just the Blue Line typically costs $25 (the same goes for the Red Line). We enjoyed hopping on and off the Blue Line and Red Line freely. However, the Blue Line runs once an hour, and the Red Line about every 45 minutes, so we printed out the timetable in advance to carry with us. There are also Japanese explanations (on tape) on board, and some drivers provide guidance in Japanese, which makes it quite enjoyable!

I was considering that I might not need to use the trolley just around Waikiki, but since I wanted to go to Diamond Head, I thought, why not! So I signed up for the unlimited ride pass for four days. The Blue Line has a long course that takes three hours to complete one loop, but they stop for 15 to 25 minutes at photo spots, which is a nice service, making it feel like a little sightseeing bus. If the driver is a fun person, you really feel like you've gotten a great deal. Most visitors to Hawaii arrange their trips through travel agencies, so I think many will have the unlimited trolley tickets, but I would definitely recommend it for those traveling independently.

ワイキキ周辺だけならトローリーの利用は必要ないかもと考えていたのですが、ダイヤモンドヘッドへ行きたかったので、どうせなら！と思い４日間乗り放題を申し込みました。
