I have a fear of heights, but I’m really glad I challenged myself because it was so much fun! The view of Waikiki from above was incredibly beautiful, and there was a strange sense of unity with the other guests on the boat, which was interesting. The boat rocks quite a bit and goes fast, so it might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication. My husband held onto the GoPro without a strap during the ride, but somehow he managed to bring it back without dropping it in the ocean. We bought the photos they sold, and other guests took pictures with our smartphones, but it was great that all the shooting locations were different. When we told the captain it was our honeymoon, we ended up being dropped into the sea twice, which was funny! Including that, it was an enjoyable experience, and the captain gave instructions in excellent Japanese, so we had no trouble at all. I think it was probably the first and last time in my life, but it was a wonderful experience!

The dining area and the theater are at the same floor , the 4th floor of the shopping mall building. It is very close to the Waikiki Beach. We can just walk from our hotel, which is very convenient. The buffet has ube bread, salads, fish filet, steamed ube and yam, pastas, BBQ beef and etc. and the amazing food is pork and Traditional Hawaiian Kalua pig. The chef helped to cut the entire pig. The crispy pig skin is really good. I love it. And the coconut pudding is also delicious. And dinner, we watched the show. I thought it’s the show all about traditional Hawaii dance. However, it also has they music of Elvis Aaron Presley and Michael Jackson. The singers are amazing. I love the show, too.

It was ok. Tackle is not fancy but well maintained, bait is basic easy kind (frozen squid). Our group (about 20 people) caught 4 small fish total over 3h - not much but it is great to prove that we all had a chance. I felt like the crew could have done better. My personal peeve is, for some reason they decided to move away from a shallow (= easy to fish) spot where multiple people were getting bites to a super deep one with no bites (I’m guessing they were simply unaware that we were getting bites). Another problem is, when at a spot, the boat is simply set adrift, which makes it quite impossible to fish vertically (since the boat is moving).

There is no attendant at the meeting place, so I had to check in by myself at the check-in counter by showing my voucher. It was awkward since there were a lot of people lined up behind me.

I and my family attended this activity on December 1, 2022. We had a great experience. The food and drinks were delicious. The service was great. Everyone was nice and friendly. The show was outstanding. All the staff and performers did a fantastic job to ensure we had a great time. We enjoyed the experience very much. We recommend this activity to anyone who is thinking about attending a luau in Oahu. The location of this activity is in Waikiki which is very convenient for us. If you are staying in Waikiki, you should definitely give this activity a try.

It was my first time visiting Hawaii and I wanted to watch a hula show. After doing some research, I chose Rock-A-Hula among others because of the location. It was located in the heart of Waikiki so I didn't have to worry about driving and another parking fees. The show is overall great, but I can't really say the same about the sound quality. It's not about the performance quality, but more of a sound system they have in the theatre. I'm a musician myself and may be little sensitive than musician, most people wouldn't tell the difference. (In fact, my parents really loved it). You could see many talented dancers and singers perform and it was the bomb. I highly recommend it!

The food was amazing for a buffet. The welcome cocktail was delicious. I would recommend getting the fish and the pork. The desert was also delicious!

The show was awesome and the drinks during the show were strong. I really liked the music and the performers! There is not a bad seat in the house! The Elvis impersonator was awesome! He should be in a Vegas show! Michael Jackson could of been a little bit better but he was still good.

Our server Kyle was excellent and was awesome during the show!

They do have an after party with good music that goes late into the night.

I would recommend getting their early to get a better seat and to be able to get food first.

This is the best luau on Oahu and would recommend this show to everyone. We will definitely be back for the great food, awesome entertainment and superior hospitality.

I've been to Hawaii many times, but this was my first try at this activity. I have a fear of heights, so I thought I would never do it. However, at the strong request of a friend who was visiting Hawaii for the first time, I decided to join in.

Seeing Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from a different angle was an incredible deal! Since it was all ocean below, I didn't feel high at all. The takeoff, landing in the water, and landing on the boat were all very gentle, so I wasn't scared at all! It was just so much fun! It became a wonderful memory. Next time, I think I'll take my husband along.

There were some songs in the impersonation show that I didn't quite understand, but each song was short, so I was able to enjoy it without getting bored. I experienced this with my husband on our honeymoon, and we both had a great time! However, since the seats are close together, it's necessary for everyone to take their own infection prevention measures. My wife and I are in Honolulu for our honeymoon and we cannot have picked a better Luau. The dinner and show is conveniently located in Waikiki, central to all the shopping and hotels. We were happily greeted by the staff right from checking in and the performers, hosts, servers were also very nice. They go above and beyond to make sure that every guest has a great experience. The buffet dinner had a lot of variety of foods that cater to everyone. After dinner, we headed into the theatre for the show. They took us through the history of Hawaii with music and dancing which was very entertaining. All the performers were truly talented. Especially the fire dancing! We would highly recommend this to our friends and families.

I was able to enjoy various Hawaiian dishes. A welcome drink was included, but any additional orders would incur extra charges. The roast beef and pork dishes were carved right in front of us. There were also desserts. Even from the second-floor seating, the show was very visible, but since both the show and buffet prioritize VIPs, I thought it might be worth paying for that. During the show, the Japanese attendees were wearing masks. The impersonations, hula, and fire dance were incredibly powerful and exciting, and I was glad to participate and feel the essence of Hawaii.
