I attended in late October 2019. The venue was beautiful, and there were relatively few guests, allowing us to enjoy the show comfortably. The content was a fusion of rock, pop, and hula, including impersonations of Michael Jackson, which were entertaining. However, overall, I felt the material was a bit outdated and lacked excitement.

I think the show would be more interesting if it mixed new and old elements more effectively.

I chose the 150m parasailing, and it went really high, offering a fantastic view. We went in the morning and finished by noon, so I think we made good use of our day.

This was the activity I was looking forward to the most before my trip, and it turned out to be the most fun! I really recommend it!

On the day of the activity, my morning schedule ran late, and I nervously called to see if I could change the time. They kindly responded in Japanese to accommodate my limited English, and my time was successfully changed. The gentleman who came to pick us up was very cheerful! Since there were only two groups, including us, I think the waiting time on the boat was short!

Then it was our turn to go up into the air! We chose 150 meters, and I'm glad we did! Looking down was scary, but when I looked up, a wonderful view spread out before me, and it really boosted my spirits! It lasted about five minutes, but I wanted to do it more!

This is definitely an activity I want to do again when I go back to Hawaii!

旅行前から１番楽しみにしていたアクティビティで、結果１番楽しかったです(^^)！！本当におススメです☆
当日午前の予定が押してしまい、時間変更の希望が出来るか恐る恐る電話をかけると、英語が不慣れなこちらに合わせて日本語で対応してくださり、時間もちゃんと変更されていました。お迎えに来てくれるおじさんはとても愉快な方です♪今回行った時間では、私達を含め2組だけでしたので、船上での待機時間は短かったと思います！
そして私達の順番がきていざ空中へ！１５０mにしましたが、これにしてよかった！下を見ると怖いですが、顔を上げると素晴らしい景色が広がっていて、本当にテンションがあがります！！！５分程でしたがもっとやりたかったー(>_<)
またハワイに行ったら絶対やりたいアクティビティです！

I’m really glad I did it! I went for 120m, but I slightly regret not going for 150m. The driver, Yano, was very friendly and funny, and he wrote down some great restaurant recommendations and took me back to the hotel multiple times. I can’t thank him enough for everything he did. It turned out to be a fun honeymoon!

I did the Green Room package which was neat being able to go back stage to see how things work behind the scenes along with being able to sit right in front of the stage to eat and watch the show which gave you a great view being so close to the performers. I like how they always include a local artist to perform too, so you are able to see not only Michael Jackson and Elvis but someone local as well. It's also nice that everything is indoors so you don't have to worry about the weather ruining your plans.

I had wanted to try parasailing for many years, so I signed up. I remembered that I have a fear of heights and was hesitant to cancel, but this time I decided to muster up the courage and go for it.

On the day of the activity, there were eight customers on the boat, including myself. As we headed out to sea, the staff spread out the parachute, and it opened with incredible force due to the wind. The thought of being launched with such speed made my face tense with fear. I considered switching to just watching, but when I saw the first pair of people floating gracefully in the air, I decided to go for it.

When it was our turn to fly, I felt no fear at all and was able to take in the scenery slowly. I even had the chance to chat with my husband, who was flying with me. The view of the ocean and the town of Hawaii from above was absolutely beautiful. It was so bright that I was glad I had sunglasses. We were in the air for just under five minutes, and I felt like I wanted to fly for a longer time. After that, we descended and were dipped into the sea up to our waists before returning to the boat to finish. I had signed up for a height of 90 meters, but there was no confirmation on the day.

While I didn't feel fear in the air, the boat was moving quite fast, possibly to keep the parachute afloat, which was a bit scary. I was clinging on tightly. My husband, who usually doesn't get motion sickness, said he felt a bit queasy, so I think it would be wise to take motion sickness medication beforehand for peace of mind.

私たちの番がきて、飛んでみると全く恐怖を感じず、景色をゆっくり見ることが出来ました。一緒に飛んだ夫と話す余裕すらありました。
空の上から見る海とハワイの町並みはとてもきれいでした。眩しかったので、サングラスがあって良かったです。空にいたのは5分たらずで、もっと長い時間飛んでいたかったと感じるほど。その後降下して、腰くらいまで海につけられて、ボートに戻って終わりです。高さは90mで申し込みましたが、当日確認はありませんでした。
空では恐怖を感じませんでしたが、パラシュートを浮かせるためか、ボートのスピードが速く、少し怖かったです。必死でしがみついていました。普段乗り物酔いをしない夫が酔った、と言っていたので、酔い止めをのんでおいたほうが安心だと思います。

I was really scared during my first parasailing experience, but it was very comfortable. I'm not good with thrilling rides. There are some roller coasters at Disney that I can handle, but I can't ride any of the famous attractions at Fuji-Q. I was worried about whether I would be okay at 150 meters since it was my first time, but it ascended slowly, so it was fine. The view from the top was truly pleasant. There was no unnecessary noise, just the sound of the wind, making it quiet. I was able to float gently and enjoy the scenery of the sea and mountains at a leisurely pace! It was the best! The guide was also very lively, and I had a great time on the boat. I definitely want to do it again when I come back to Hawaii.

When I arrived at the venue, I learned that due to the weather forecast predicting rain, the meal would be indoors. The sky didn't seem like it would rain, so my excitement dropped significantly from the start.

However, the luau became enjoyable as it progressed, and I was glad I participated. The hula dance performed solo by one of the dancers was truly beautiful! It was my first time being moved by hula. I would love to see that dancer's hula again.

The food was good. So, I decided to try breakfast at Surf Lanai later, but that was not as great...

Initially, I planned to make a reservation through the hotel’s website, but it stated that there would be no performance on the Thursday during my stay. I tried booking through Veltra, and it went smoothly. Just to be sure, I inquired and they confirmed that the hotel’s website was incorrect. I appreciated their quick response.

会場に行くと、天気予報が雨なので室内での食事との事。降りそうもない空だったので、スタートからテンションがかなり下がりました。

ただ、途中からルアウが楽しくなってきたので、参加して良かったと思いました。特にソロで踊られた方のフラダンスが本当に美しかった！ 始めてフラで感動しました。あの方のフラはもう一度観たいです。

お料理のお味は良かったです。なので、後日サーフラナイで朝食を頂いてみましたが、それはあまり…。

始めホテルのHPから予約するつもりでしたが、私が滞在中の木曜は休演と掲載されていました。試しにベルトラさんから予約をしたらすんなり完了。念のためお尋ねしたら確認を取って下さり、結局、ホテルのHPが誤っていたとの回答でした。迅速に対応頂いて助かりました。

I was able to go to the Rock-A-Hula Luau green room package. I got to go explore backstage and get a tiny glimpse of how all the action happens. I also got to take a picture with Michael Jackson before the show. The staff and crew members were very kind and made sure that everything was to my liking. I described this show as a Luau like no other because it was a Luau with a twist. All the music were the classics from Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson with the local culture included into the dance routine and into the stage outfits. The show also featured a local girl with a beautiful voice. For those who would like to watch a Luau in cushioned chairs and indoors I would definitely recommend this Luau to you!

I splurged a little and made a reservation for a VIP seat by the stage. First, we took photos with the star (playing the role of Elvis Presley), then enjoyed some snacks while sipping Mai Tais at the VIP welcome reception. We entered our seats next to the stage through the VIP entrance, and started our meal from the menu in the attached photo. The show began around the time we finished eating.

We enjoyed performances by Johnny Fortuno as Elvis Presley, Corey Melton as Michael Jackson, and Siena Sousa (a singer-songwriter based in Honolulu), along with hula dancing by Rock-a-Hula dancers. The highlight was the fire knife dance, and we were thoroughly entertained in the best seats, leaving us very satisfied. Initially, I thought it was a bit pricey, but after receiving a 10% discount, I was very pleased with the experience and the content.

On my first trip to Hawaii, I wanted to see an authentic hula dance show, so I booked this VIP course. I was excited as soon as I walked on the red carpet, and the welcome drink followed by dinner at the VIP seats was delightful. The lobster, along with the main steak and salmon, was satisfying in both volume and service. It was also great to be smoothly guided through the VIP entrance.

The show started with a surprise when a man was lowered upside down right in front of us (even though I had heard about it beforehand). As we sat on the bench together and lifted our bodies, we floated back and gradually rose higher and higher. Looking at the sparkling blue sea and sky with Diamond Head in sight, the experience ended in no time. I highly recommend the highest course if you're going to do it. I was a bit worried about parasailing since I'm not good with heights, but my sister really wanted to try it, so I decided to give it a shot!!! At first, I was scared, but once we went up, I was amazed by the incredible view☆ I asked the staff to take pictures from below (which costs extra), but once we were up there, I realized I had some spare time and regretted not bringing my phone with me, haha. I really wanted to take pictures from the sky too!!!

The landing was also handled well, and it was soooo much fun☆ Next time I go, I definitely want to bring my phone up with me and challenge myself again (^ー^)

パラセーリングで、高いところが苦手で初めはどうかな。。。と思っていたのですが、妹からのしたいという希望があり挑戦してみました！！！初めは怖かったけど、上に上がったら最高の景色に感動しました☆下からの写真はスタッフさんにお願いしたのですが(有料です)、上に上がったらいがいと余裕もあり携帯を持っていけばよかったと後悔w　上空からの写真も撮りたかったーーー！！！
着水もしてもらって、とーーーっても楽しかったです☆

This is my second time in Hawaii! This time, my wife and I went parasailing for the first time.

We had a great time with two other Japanese couples and a family with a Japanese wife, making a total of four groups.

The pickup was on time and very close to the hotel, which was easy to find.

It was early in the morning in mid-October, but the wind felt nice as we went higher and higher, and my wife and I were super excited to see the boat getting smaller!

The view of Waikiki Beach and the famous hotels from the ocean was truly amazing!

The price was reasonable, but tips are separate, so be sure to prepare for that!

ハワイは2回目！今回は思いきり遊ぶぞということで妻と初パラセーリングでした。

同じ日本人カップル2組と奥様が日本人のご家族と計4組で当日は楽しませてもらいました。

迎えも時間通りにホテルのすぐ近くまで来てくれてわかりやすかったです。

10月の中旬の朝一番からでしたが風も気持ちよくドンドン高くなっていき、ボートが小さくなる姿に妻とテンションマックスになりました！

沖から見るワイキキビーチや有名なホテルの景色も本当に最高でした！

お値段も手頃でしたがチップは別なので用意は必要ですよ^_^

I participated in a class starting at 3 PM. After watching a video at the shop on the first floor of the hotel, we walked to the ocean. We practiced on land before taking turns surfing. There were about 10 people in the group lesson, with 3 instructors. They taught us while occasionally mixing in some broken Japanese. For now, everyone in my family was able to stand up. As for whether we were actually riding the waves, that's a bit questionable... I was able to enjoy surfing in Hawaii!
