Best Time ever.

I went to Hawaii during Golden Week. My husband and I took a three-hour lesson. My husband has been surfing for seven years, and I was a beginner, but he took me to a beach near Ala Moana where there were few people, and we both had a great time.

There were six people in our group, and we had two super cute Japanese instructors, which was an incredible luxury for me to have a surf lesson in Japanese in Hawaii as a beginner. They were gentle when we entered the water and encouraged me, who lacks stamina, so I was able to take the lesson with peace of mind.

My husband really liked the beach with no people, and when he mentioned that he wanted to surf there again the next day, they kindly brought the surfboard to Ala Moana Beach for our lesson the next day. He was very satisfied that he could surf outside of Waikiki without renting a car.

I definitely want to request this again next time.

ゴールデンウィークにハワイに行ってきました。
主人と３時間レッスンを受けました。
主人はサーフィン歴７年、私は初心者でしたが、アラモアナの方のビーチまで車で連れて行ってくれ、人も少なく主人も私も思う存分楽しめました。
６名のグループでしたが、日本人の超カワイイインストラクターが２人付いてくれて、初心者の私にはハワイで日本語のサーフレッスンが受けられるなんて最高に贅沢でした。
海に入っても優しく、そして体力のない私を励ましてくださり、安心してレッスンを受けることができました。

主人はこの人のいないビーチがすごく気に入り、次の日もここのビーチでサーフィンをしたいと言ってみると、
次の日のレッスンに合わせて、サーフボードをアラモアナのビーチまで持ってきて下さいました。
レンタカーを借りずにワイキキの海以外でサーフィンができ、大満足の様子でした。

次回も是非お願いしたいと思います。

We participated as a family of six. This was my second time parasailing, but everyone else was experiencing it for the first time. The women were particularly scared, but once we were up in the air, we were all amazed to see the city of Waikiki from nearly 100 meters high! The feeling of flying over the deep blue sea was truly indescribable. The staff were all cheerful and playful, which helped ease our nerves, and we appreciated that.

私自身はパラセイリング２度目でしたが、あとは皆初体験。女性陣は特に怖がっていましたが、いざ上空へ上がると100ｍ近い高さからワイキキの街が一望できてみんな大感激！
真っ青な海の上を飛ぶ気分は、まさに筆舌に尽くしがたい体験でした。
スタッフもみんな陽気でお茶目で、緊張を解きほぐしてくれて嬉しかったです。

My husband and I went parasailing for the 1st time.
ALL WE CAN SAY IS THAT IT WAS PROBABLY THE BEST THING WE DID WHILE WE WERE IN OAHU!
There were 3 men who took us to this extreme ride.
(A captain, a parasail instructor, and another guy who helped) and they were all awsome! Very friendly, knowledgable guys who made us feel comfortable from start to finish. The parasail instructor, we forgot his name, also took our pics from the boat while we were on the ride and after developing them, took some great shots! He was great! By the way, they will offer to take a roll of pics for you and it's $15 for the whole 24 exposure film.
Some reviews seem to complain about tipping and how they felt uncomfortable that there were signs up almost begging for tips. It was totally not like that in our case. Sure, it did say "TIPS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME" butin no way did it seem unappropriate. They totally deserved our tip!

It was sooo fun, I reccomend that to any one with a real sence of adventure. And I will always come back to do the many adventures "Hawiian adventures" has to offer:-)

I originally started shortboarding in Japan, but I struggled with takeoff. I felt some resistance to lessons in Japan, so I thought I would participate in Hawaii instead.

As a man, I wondered how it would be with only female instructors, but the atmosphere was quite friendly and pleasant. The instructor was, of course, beautiful (laughs). The lessons were tailored to my level, and the teaching was both theoretical and easy to understand, allowing me to grasp the concepts during the lesson! Of course, I worked on perfecting my takeoff as well!

As soon as I returned to Japan, I challenged myself on the shortboard and was able to take off right away!

I finally became a surfer. Thank you, instructor Yu-ko!!

もともと日本でショートボードを始めたのですが、テイクオフがなかなか難しくつまずいてました。日本でのレッスンはなんか抵抗もあり、ハワイでならと思い参加しました。

男性として女性だけのインストラクターでどうかな？と思いましたが、なかなかフレンドリーな感じで雰囲気もよかったです。
インストラクターはもちろん美女でした（笑）
レッスンも私のレベルにあった教え方をして頂き、理論的かつ分かりやすい教え方で納得しながらレッスンできました！
もちろん、テイクオフも完璧になるまでに！

早速、日本へ帰ってきてからショートでチャレンジも、すぐにテイクオフできました！

It was a very good experience and we enjoyed it a lot.

I went with my two sisters in late March. My sister and I were a bit nervous since it was our first experience, but the instructor was such a nice person (and super cute!!) that all our tension disappeared.

With her assistance, all three of us were able to stand up, and we were so thrilled!! Three hours flew by in no time. It was so much fun that we immediately made a reservation for the next day. We were completely captivated by the waves in Hawaii for two days.

I definitely want to rely on Girls Who Surf again next time!!

３月下旬に３姉妹で行ってきました。
私と妹は初体験だったので、少し緊張していましたが、インストラクターのお姉さんが、それはもういい人で（しかも超カワイイ！！）さっきまでの緊張はどこへやら・・

お姉さんにアシストしてもらいながら、３人とも立てるようになり、大感激！！
３時間なんてあっとゆう間でした。
あまりの面白さに、次の日も即予約＾＾
２日間ハワイの波に夢中でした。

次回も必ずガールズ・フー･サーフさんにお世話になりたいと思ってます！！

During a company trip to Hawaii, I had been there a few times before, but for others, it was their first time. So, we decided to book parasailing, something we could all enjoy together for the first time.

We went quite far out, and the boat was pretty fast, but I didn't feel seasick at all! There was one American family besides us. A really cute little girl (maybe around 5 years old?) looked scared at first as she went up with her dad, but when they came back, she was all smiles!

We rode on a sort of two-person bench and went really high up, which allowed us to see quite far into the mountains—it felt great! When we came down, before returning to the boat, the staff played their usual prank of dipping just our bottoms in the sea, which was quite cold, but it was fun to take pictures of that moment from the boat.

Also, I was thrilled when dolphins swam around us after we went out! That's Hawaii for you! We all happily took pictures together. I think it's a great activity for families, even with small children, and I would recommend it to those who aren't into intense activities!

社員旅行で訪れたハワイ、私は何度か来たことがありましたが、他の人は初めてだったので、何かみんなで楽しめるものを、ということで、初めてこちらのパラセイリングを予約しました。
だいぶ沖に出るのですが、結構船のスピードは速いです。でも酔うようなことはありませんでした☆
私たち以外にはアメリカ人のご家族が1組。すごく可愛い女の子（まだ5歳くらいかな？）も最初は怖そうにパパと上がっていきましたが、帰ってきたときにはニッコニコでした！
二人がけのベンチのようなものに乗って、かなり高くまで上がるので、結構遠くの山が見えて気持ちがよかったです♪
下に降りてきたときは、船に戻る前にスタッフがお決まりのいたずらで、おしりだけ海にちょっとつけられるので、結構冷たいですが、その瞬間を船から写真で撮りあったりして面白かったです。
また、沖に出てからイルカが周りを泳いでくれたのに感動！さすがハワイ！みんなで喜んで写真を撮りました☆
小さい子供さんがいても家族で楽しめるし、激しいアクティビティが苦手な方にもお勧めだと思います♪

The staff quality was absolutely great. We had a great time doing parasailing and it was wonderful that they walked us through every step especially since it was the first time we ever had done it. I recommend first timers to definitely go b/c it is a thrilling adventure.

Parasailing was the first tour my boyfriend and I decided to do in Oahu. It was very beautiful from 700 feet up in the air and very peaceful. The staff did a wonderful job and we were very pleased. The only disappointment was the $20.00 bills taped up and down the railing of the boat making sure that you knew to tip $20.00. We also did the Shark Tour and ATV Tour and no where else was tipping mentioned like it was here. The staff didn't insist that you tip but the dollar bills there pretty much insisted it which made it a bit uncomfortable. Overall, parasailing was a great choice and we would definitely do it again on a future trip!

Don't really remember how high I went, but it was great. Only think I was missing was a cold drink while I was up there. The staff were great and even gave us a little dunk as they brought us in for fun. Great time for anyone and what a great view.

Learning to surf must be on just about everyone's 'must-do' list when they come to Hawaii. It was on mine because my Dad surfed in California while he was with the Marines.

I rented a board in Waikiki and went out on my own. Paddling is great exercise but I wasn't even able to stand up. I found an ad for Girls Who Surf in the Army MWR magazine and called them. At my first lesson, I was able to stand up and ride on a half dozen waves!

I went for another seven lessons over the next five months progressing from using a 12-foot board to being able to surf with a 7-foot board. I wanted to progress fast and the instructors at Girls Who Surf gave me the skills to do it.

Through Girls Who Surf, I gained confidence, strength endurance in my upper body and have improved my balance skills. My first lesson wore me out paddling for waves. Eight months later, I was able to paddle a mile to a surf-break then surf for an hour-and-a-half and still had energy to spare

Great company for a first time surfer, girls are awesome instructors who really make u feel empowered! Totally feel like I had a great surf experience.

This was my first time ever para-sailing. I went with my boyfriend and signed up for the standard package for 350ft. However, to our suprise, the boat man gave us all 3 couples on the boat the extreme package at no extra cost. It was awesome after all, at first I was hesistant of going so high up in the air because I have a slight fear of heights but, once your up there you dont feel it at all. So that was a great plus. They also offer photography on the boat so dont bother bringing your camera up there unless you have a water proof pack with a zoom lens. The only gripe we had was that we took that offer to have them help us photograph the ride, but his shutter was defective that day and our pictures didn't turn out. We went back to show them what happened and they refunded the cost to us. so overall i'll go again if i ever return to Hawaii

The tour was cool. The guide was extremely knowledgeable which made the tour more enjoyable. The marine life was awsome. I did not get seasick!!

I participated in the dive on January 17th at 11 AM. Unlike the day before when I was informed that the tour was canceled, we were blessed with good weather. The female staff at the pier explained, "Many people get seasick before we reach the open sea due to the high waves, so we sell motion sickness medication on board." It was a bit late for that! I was well-prepared and ready to participate. As expected from a surfing mecca, the boat heading out to sea experienced quite a bit of rolling and pitching. Many people started to feel unwell quite quickly. After a little over 10 minutes, we arrived at the location for the submarine's ascent. We had to wait on the rocking boat for about 15 minutes before boarding after the 10 AM dive guests disembarked. I realized that it’s better to board as late as possible from the front entrance so you can also see what’s happening from the cockpit. I recommend choosing a dive with live Japanese narration. Although the visibility wasn’t perfect, I was satisfied that I could see the blue sea at a depth of 30 meters where light still reached. After disembarking, the female staff at the pier said, "It seems most of the guests got seasick, but you all are okay." The waves were higher than they appeared, and it seems that the afternoon dive was canceled.

Since seasickness can ruin the experience of a dive, please make sure to take proper precautions against it before participating.

1/17日11時ダイプに参加。催行中止となったと聞かされた前日とは違い、好天に恵まれる。桟橋の女性係員が「波が高いので沖合に出るまでに船酔いする人が多いから、酔い止め薬を船内でも売っています」と説明。いまさら遅い!よ。当方準備万端整えて参加しているもんと余裕。サーフィンのメッカだけあって沖合に向かう船はそれなりのローリングとピッチング。はやくも気分を悪くする人多数。10分少々でサプマリン号の浮上場所に到着。10時ダイブの客を降ろした後に乗り込む事になるので揺れる船上で待機すること15分ほど経過。乗り込んで分かったことだが、先頭側入口からなるべく遅く乗る方が操縦席からの様子も見れて良いと思う。また、日本語のナレーションを生で聞ける回のダイブを選択するのがお勧めです。鮮明とはいかないながらも、30メートルの深さでも光が届き、青い海を覗くことが出来たので満足。下船後、桟橋の女性係員「ほとんどのお客さんが酔ったらしいけど、あなたたち大丈夫」と声をかけてきた。見た目以上に波が高く、その日の午後のダイブは催行中止になったらしい。
船酔いではせっかくのダイブも楽しめないので、船酔い対策をしっかりとして参加してください。

Unlike other tours, there were fewer people, and I was very satisfied.

他のツアーと違って、人数も少なく、大変満足でした。

There was hardly any rocking, and I didn't feel any seasickness, so I was able to enjoy myself. The food was great, with a whole lobster served, which made me very satisfied. If I had to say something, the photos taken were a bit expensive at $20... (This is the case at most main spots in Hawaii...)

ほとんどゆれることも無く、不安していた船酔いも全く無く、楽しむことができました。料理も、ロブスターが一匹まるまる出てきて、大満足。強いて言えば、いろいろと撮られた写真が20ドルと高い。。（ハワイの主なスポットではほとんどそうですが・・・。）

At the time of departure, I thought it would be canceled due to heavy rain, but the rain stopped during the hike, and we were able to go ahead with it. Because of the weather, we couldn't see the sunrise beautifully, but I thought the experience of climbing Diamond Head was valuable. We returned to the hotel before 8 AM, which was also a plus as it meant we didn't waste any time.

出発時は、大雨で中止かと思いましたが、登山中に雨はやみ、なんとか実施できました。日の出は、天気のせいもあり、綺麗にみることはできませんでしたが、ダイアモンドヘッドを登れる経験は貴重だと思いました。８時前にはホテルに戻ってきて、時間も無駄にならない点も良。

I participated on December 24th. Since we had never surfed before, we were a bit anxious about surfing itself and learning in English, but it was more enjoyable than we expected.
The instructor couldn't speak Japanese, but he was very kind and taught us in a way that was easy to understand. They also provided longer surfboards, so we were able to catch waves right away.
I think the instruction itself involves gestures, so it's okay if you don't understand much English, but being able to speak English would definitely enhance the experience.

Perhaps due to lack of exercise, I had muscle soreness starting the next day.
However, if I go to Hawaii again, I definitely want to learn at Girls Who Surf.

　12月24日に参加しました。私たちは今までにサーフィンをしたことがなかったので、サーフィン自体も不安でしたし、英語で習うのも少し心配でしたが、予想以上に楽しめました。
　インストラクターの方は日本語が話せませんでしたが、とても優しく、わかりやすく教えてくれました。サーフボードも長めのものを用意してくれていたので、すぐに波に乗ることができました。
　サーフィンの指導自体は身振り手振りもあるので、多少英語がわからなくても大丈夫だとは思いますが、英語は話せたほうが楽しめるとは思います。
　
　運動不足のせいか、次の日から筋肉痛になりました。
　でも、またハワイに行ったら必ずガールズ・フー・サーフで習いたいと思います。

The view of Honolulu is amazing. When you turn around, you see the sparkling ocean and horizon. It felt like a dream.

Since Ala Moana is nearby, it's a great spot to visit for a short time before or after shopping. I recommend it for couples, families, and friends alike.

My husband participated, and it seems he had a great time. There were about ten participants, including three Japanese people, ranging from a 13-year-old girl to couples.

Three staff members assisted, and after a basic explanation, they took us to the shallow waters (it's really shallow; you can stand even when you go out quite far).

He mentioned that even beginners were able to stand on the board and ride the waves. My husband, who doesn't usually exercise, talked about having muscle pain in his arms in the afternoon, but he was smiling and happily saying, "It hurts~" (laughs).

They also sold photo data on a CD as a keepsake. It costs $30, but it includes photos of my husband riding the board, which made for some really fun memories. The photos also include others who participated in the school with us, adding to the wonderful memories.

I was on a different tour, so I didn't see it directly, but my husband was captured vividly on the board, riding the waves, and then... falling off the board, which made for lively conversations about the actual experience.

Since everyone participated, it was hard to take photos of ourselves. The CD also included beautiful photos of Hawaii beyond just that day's events, so I recommend purchasing it.

参加したのは、主人だったのですが、とても楽しかったようです。13歳の女の子からカップルまで、日本人3人を含む10名ほどの参加者がいたようです。

3人のスタッフが付いてくれ、基本的な説明のあと、遠浅（ほんとに遠浅の海です。えっと思う場所まで置きに出ても足がつきます）へボードを持っていきます。

初心者でもボードに立ち、波に乗ることができたとのことでした。日ごろ運動をしない主人は、午後から筋肉痛で腕が痛いと話していましたが、ニコニコと嬉しそうに「いたい~」と話していました（笑）

また、想い出になる写真のデータをCDで販売していました。30ドルとなりますが、主人がボードに乗っている姿を連写してくれている写真などが含まれているので、とても楽しい想い出の写真になりました。写真には、一緒にスクールに参加した方も含まれます。これもすてきな想い出になりました。
私は、別のツアーに参加していたため、直接様子を見ていないのですが、主人がボードに乗り、波に乗り、そして・・・ボードから落ちていく姿が克明に写されいて、実際の様子に話が盛り上がりました。

参加した全員が置きに出ますので、自分たちを写真にはなかなか撮れません。CDには、当日の様子以外にもハワイの素敵な写真が入っていましたので購入をお勧めします。

I participated in the morning tour. The live commentary is in Japanese, so I recommend it. They teach you about sea turtles and native Hawaiian fish, and talk about the relationship between the depth of the ocean and its color, making it both educational and enjoyable.
You travel by boat to the submarine boarding area. On days with higher waves, it can be quite bumpy, so it's best to take motion sickness medication in advance.

午前中のツアーに参加しました。午前中は日本語でのライブ解説なので、おすすめです。ウミガメやハワイ固有種の魚を教えてくれたり、海の深度と色の関係のお話などしてくれて、理科の勉強にもなり楽しいですよ。
潜水艦の乗り場までは、ボートで移動します。波が高めの日は、結構揺れますので、事前に酔い止めを飲んでおいた方がよいです。

I was worried about this activity, but it turned out to be a great experience. Our instructor, Johnny, was attentive, motivated and dedicated to the 3 of us that he was teaching. He kept us going for the 2 hours we were in the water, even when we felt to tired to continue.

Note: You have to be in good physical condition to undertake this activity, it is exhausting, but worth it

it was ok younger kids and family would enjoy it. it was intersting because you see things you wouldn't normally see such as ship wrecks and plane wrecks. seeing aquatic life was pretty cool we saw a female sea turtle the narrator said that was rare. the most annoying was the dual english and japneese narration on a sub that was all english speaking passengers.

Toby and the staff were great! Was thrilled to get up on the waves and even have pictures to prove it! Great activity!
