It was the best sailing experience, enjoying a Mai Tai in hand! Shortly after departure, we were able to see turtles swimming.

This time, I participated with my mother, but it seems like it would be perfectly fine to join alone as well. There were just under 40 people on board, with only two other groups of Japanese participants. Most of the attendees were not Japanese, which added to the overseas atmosphere and made it even more enjoyable. It's completely fine if you don't understand English. Before boarding, we took a group photo, which can be purchased for $20 after disembarking for those who wish to.

You do get quite wet when boarding and disembarking. Those at the front of the boat (the side where you get on and off) got splashed directly by the waves and were pretty soaked. The sun was strong on the boat, but once we set sail, the wind felt really nice. As long as you apply sunscreen properly, sunburn shouldn't be an issue.

The boat does sway quite a bit during the trip, so if you're prone to seasickness, it's definitely a good idea to take some motion sickness medication to ensure you can enjoy the experience. A few people were struggling with seasickness.

It was so much fun and felt great, so I would like to participate in the sunset sailing next time.

今回は母と2人で参加しましたが、1人でも問題なく参加できそうです。
乗船人数は40人弱で他の日本人参加者は2組。日本人じゃない方がほとんどなのも、海外に来ている雰囲気をより味わえて楽しいです。英語はわからなくても全く問題ないです。乗船前にグループごとに記念撮影をし、希望者は下船後に20ドルで購入できます。
船に乗り降りする時に結構濡れます。また船の前方(乗り降りする側)にいた人達は波が直接かかるのでかなり濡れていました。船上は日差しが強いですが、出航してしまえば風がとても気持ち良かったです。日焼け止めをしっかり塗っておけば日焼けも問題なかったです。
船は途中結構揺れるので、船酔いが気になる方は酔い止め薬を飲んでおいた方が確実に楽しめます。何人か船酔いに苦しんでました。
とても楽しくて気持ち良かったので、今度はサンセットセーリングにも参加したいと思います。

The weather was great, and the strong wind created the perfect conditions. However, the meeting point was very hard to find, and we wandered around the Sheraton multiple times. Among the participants, we were the only Japanese. The waves were high, and the strong wind splashed water on us, which felt refreshing. It was nice to see the backside of Diamond Head and to spot sea turtles.

About 30 to 40 people were on board (I think there were three groups from Japan). Thanks to the favorable weather, we were able to see a truly wonderful sunset. However, the issue was with the response of the boarding staff from the previous year. Perhaps because they assume Japanese people can't speak English, they didn't approach us at all. On the other hand, they actively engaged with groups from other countries (like the mainland United States and Australia), checking on drinks and snacks. My group consisted of returnee students, so there was no problem with communication in English. It's really disappointing that the quality of service changed due to stereotypes.

What an amazing time we had on our sunset cruise that left right outside of our hotel (Hilton Hawaiian Village). The staff on the boat were incredibly friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them as we sailed along. The drinks and snacks were great, and the best part of all were the breath-taking views, especially watching the sun set! We went with another couple with whom we were traveling, and we all put this activity toward the top of our list of memorable things we did while visiting.

We were the only Japanese people there. Hardly anyone spoke English. Suddenly, there was cheering and applause as everyone teased a man who arrived late. The man stylishly apologized, and even though the departure was delayed, it turned into a fun event! Last time I got seasick on a dinner cruise, so I was advised not to drink citrus beverages the day before to prevent seasickness, and I felt great!

Despite the voucher confirming a pickup at 7:25 AM in front of the hotel, I received a phone call in English just before leaving my room on the morning of the event, stating, "The pickup has been canceled, so you need to get a taxi on your own and come to the meeting point." I also had to cover the taxi fare. The sudden change communicated in English caused me to panic, and with an unstable Wi-Fi connection and no Uber account, I struggled to communicate the meeting location clearly to the taxi driver I managed to flag down in front of the hotel. I got lost in the harbor as well, and the taxi fare ended up being over $20. I felt deceived. The catch was decent, but the fishing gear was quite old and in poor condition, though I was glad to catch something. If it weren't for the last-minute change in transportation, I would have been nearly completely satisfied. I was really disappointed by the abrupt change. My parents booked a Japanese tour for their first trip to Hawaii at 10 AM. I didn't have high expectations after reading the reviews, but it was as I anticipated. The tour itself was interesting, but considering the price, even half the cost would still feel a bit high for what it offered.
