It was my first sunset cruise. There were not many Japanese people, and there was one staff member who spoke Japanese. The meeting point was near the Tropical Bar at the Hilton. There was a reception there, so I mentioned my reservation name, waited for about 10 minutes, took off my shoes, and then boarded the cruise.

Drinks, including alcohol, were all-you-can-drink, and there was food like bread, pasta, and salad! The weather was nice, so we got to see a really beautiful sunset! The staff were kind, and the atmosphere was very lively, typical of America! (laughs) It was quite windy and cold, so it's definitely better to bring a jacket.

The submarine itself is stable, but the waves while transferring from the shuttle boat to the submarine are quite intense. If you're not confident on boats, it's better to take motion sickness medication just in case. As for the tour, we were able to see sea turtles this time, and the kids were thrilled. What you can see depends on luck, though.

You have plenty of time on the submarine to fully enjoy the scenery underwater. I was able to see sharks and sea turtles! (Maybe I was just lucky.) The elementary school children also seemed to have fun looking for fish. The boat before switching to the submarine swayed quite a bit, so I noticed a few people feeling seasick before the main event. I recommend taking motion sickness precautions for those who are not confident on boats.

This was an awesome way to begin our first full "relax day" in Honolulu. The crew on this catamaran was outstanding. They were very friendly and welcoming and really made you feel like they were there just for you. Perfect amount of people on board. The drinks were delicious and rum aplenty. I think if we were to do this again, we would pay for back to back cruises so we'd have more time. Waikiki & Diamond Head from that viewpoint were unbelievable. Thanks for a great time!!!

We went for my husbands birthday on 12/07/19 and it was about 20 of us so we took up the whole boat. I tipped the captain and assistant $20 if he could wait for couple of friends who were arriving late and I also offered the other 2 couples, who were not part of our group, a round of drinks if we left a bit late. They were fine with it. Once we left, all was well EXCEPT for the captains sarcasm. We were not out of hand nor too crazy for him to handle, but to treat us as if we didn’t know any better, was unacceptable. But his remarks and dry humor was the ONLY negative part of our trip. I understand he probably has to deal with drunk people everyday... but we were still paying customers and would expect to be treated like we treated him... with respect. I could imagine how he would treat other tourists who paid hundreds of dollars to take this one trip just to enjoy the sunset cruise and booze. Honestly I would probably refer to a different catamaran company or just get rid/retrain the captain on the spirit of aloha. Not the way I would represent the island.

I participated in a company trip with my colleagues! There were many people from various countries, as well as those on vacation from the mainland and newlyweds. Even though my English isn't that great, with a little help from the drinks, I was able to have enjoyable conversations and spend a fulfilling time.

I think there were various types of alcohol, but I tried a Hawaiian beer and had some sparkling wine along with something else. I don't remember it well. There is the "too much drinking = restroom problem," but don't worry, there are restrooms available!

By the time sailing was over, I had completely developed a beer belly.

In theory this would be a great experience... but the night we went the ocean was VERY rough and both my husband and I got violently ill. The crew did their best to make us comfortable but I have to wonder why no one said anything about the possible conditions. A little warning would have been nice. (“Hey, if you’re prone to motion sickness we would recommend you not attend tonight due to giant waves, etc.” or “Do not drink mai tais if you are concerned about being sick.”)

Also my 8 year old was scared out of his mind...so leave the kids at home. And take Dramamine. Better yet, watch the sunset from the beach.

My husband recovered right away but I was sick for 24 hours!! I couldn’t get the rocking sensation out of my mind, and ate nothing but saltines the next day. I really had no idea this would be possible from a 90 min boat ride. (To the captains credit he brought the boat in early because it was just too rough. I still wonder why we went out in the first place!)

It was amazing. Despite the bad weather, relatively low temperatures, and some rain, the fireworks were perfectly visible from the sea. The reflection of the fireworks on the water was beautiful! I was shivering along the way, but I enjoyed a Mai Tai because it was delicious, and they played great music to keep the atmosphere lively. Even though it was cold, I was sleepy, and the rain was intense, I couldn't feel anything but joy. I'm grateful for the wonderful crew who were so considerate, and for the cheerful and lovely people I shared the experience with. I want to go again!

Even though I was around the Sheraton Hotel with plenty of time, I couldn't get through from the Sheraton to the beach, which made me really anxious... The directions were hard to understand. In the end, I walked along the beach walk to the ocean side, turned right, walked to the end of the road, and took the path on the right that leads to the beach, where the boarding area was! I made it just in time.

Before boarding, I took some photos, and since the waves hit below the knees, wearing shorts was definitely the right choice. I enjoyed the sunset while sipping on a Mai Tai, with music playing loudly. It was the perfect optional tour for the last day of this trip!

余裕をもって乗り場のあるシェラトンホテル周辺にいたのに、シェラトンからビーチの通り抜けができず、焦りまくり…。道順の説明が分かりづらかった。結局、ビーチウォークを海側まで歩き、右折し、道の終わりまで歩いて、右手にビーチにでる小道を行けば、乗り場がありましたよ！ギリギリで間に合いました。

乗船前に写真を撮り、乗り込むのですが、膝下は波がかかるので、ショートパンツで正解でした。
マイタイを飲みながら、サンセットを楽しむ。しかもガンガン音楽を流して。今回の旅の最終日にぴったりのオプショナルツアーでした！
