When I come to Hawaii, I always make sure to include sunset sailing in my plans. Once you experience it, you'll be hooked! I thoroughly enjoyed sailing while taking in views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, as well as watching the beautiful sunset.

This time, what impressed me the most was encountering a pod of dolphins. At first, I could see something like dorsal fins peeking through the waves, and they occasionally jumped to show themselves. Sometimes they even twisted while jumping... They swam alongside the boat for a long time, which was so exciting that I couldn't take my eyes off them. Seeing dolphins swimming in the ocean for the first time truly made me feel "amazing!"

After the sun sets, the temperature drops, so a windbreaker is necessary. I'm really looking forward to what discoveries await on my next sailing!

I really like it. Why? Because there are few Japanese people. So I hope there won't be more! (A honest opinion) I ride every time, but this was my first experience with high waves. The meeting place changed suddenly, and we had to walk to board the boat. Once on board, the staff was as pleasant as always, and I was very satisfied. They remembered the alcohol I had last time, and we had a great conversation. Basic Japanese isn't understood, but you can still have a good time. Time flies by quickly. Depending on the day, snacks are provided, but sometimes they aren't. I think it's fine to bring your own.

I participated on March 13 with my two sons. It was one of the activities we were really looking forward to, but... the meeting place was very difficult to find, and we ended up walking around a lot. When we finally arrived at the meeting spot and were waiting, a group of foreign young people came and cut in line as if it was normal, one by one, until we found ourselves at the very back. They were already drunk and making a lot of noise before we even got on the yacht.

I was satisfied that we could see the Hilton fireworks straight on, but the whole time it felt like they only cared about having fun themselves, and it was just a constant ruckus, which made it not enjoyable at all. It was just cold and not fun, and I wanted to go home quickly. I regretted that I should have spent my money and time on something else.

Since it was a trip to celebrate my son's entrance exams and it was his first time overseas, I signed up thinking he would enjoy it, but honestly, I was very disappointed. I will definitely not repeat this experience.

ただただ、寒いし、楽しくないし、早く帰りたくて、こ
んな事なら、他の事にお金と時間を使えば良かったと、
後悔したぐらいです。
受験のお祝いを兼ねた旅行で初海外の息子もいたので、

This was my second time participating in this tour. However, I think swimming off Waikiki is better in the summer. This time it was in March and a bit cloudy, so it was a little chilly. I signed up on the recommendation of a friend. Since it was a trip that included a Friday, I chose a day with fireworks.
We took a taxi from the hotel. The taxi driver checked the address and dropped us off about 300 meters before the actual location, so I was a bit worried if we were in the right place. However, the meeting point from the app's map was indeed correct.

Our family was the only Japanese participants; the rest were international travelers. Japanese was not understood.

They offered assistance when boarding and disembarking. It got quite chilly after the sun went down, and I regretted not changing out of my shorts.

１０歳の息子が３匹釣ってキャプテンから「BEST　FISHER」と言われご満悦でした。息子のライバル君はカワハギではない大きい魚を釣ったようでにこにこしていました。

釣った魚はサイズが小さいとリリース。大きいものはフレーバーソルトで味付けして焼いてくれましたが釣れなかった方たちは遠慮して食べてなかったみたいでした。
最近、催行日が減ったようで、やめないでほしいなと思い、かなり日が経ちましたが体験談を投稿しました。
今回、新型コロナがなければ、またこのオプショナルツアーに参加しようと思っていたのであきらめざる負えず残念な気持ちでいっぱいです。

This well-run tour took us to a place known as Turtle Canyon a few hundred meters off of Waikiki where sea turtles come to get cleaned by algae eating fish.
There were a couple of dozen of varying ages (judging by their sizes) and though touching is prohibited, it was easy to get close enough that you could have.
Sharp, amusing crew, well maintained and clean masks, snorkels, and fins provided, and cold local beer.
A great combination.

In February, I went with nine family members. Everyone was very satisfied, and it became a wonderful memory.

I made a reservation for 1:00 PM on the day of my arrival in Hawaii. I wanted my family, who are visiting Hawaii for the first time, to get a concrete image of the scale of Waikiki, the location of our hotel, and Diamond Head, so this was a perfect choice to grasp the overall view from the ocean.

Before participating, I read reviews and thought it would be a participatory event with a rap-style BGM playing throughout, which might explain the low number of Japanese participants. However, it was completely different. You can enjoy it at your own pace, so there's no need to worry. The captain did tell jokes in English to the participants at the beginning, but that was just at the start. During the trip, he was very friendly, handling the sales and drinks, and occasionally pointing out, "You can see a turtle over there." I can't even remember if there was any BGM.

In addition to alcohol, there were about five types of soft drinks (canned juices) available for $3 each. I bought the pineapple juice, which was delicious.

As we headed out to sea, we moved against the waves, which caused some up-and-down rocking and heightened the excitement. We went to a position where we could see Diamond Head Lighthouse well, so the distance traveled was relatively long. On the way back to shore, it was almost completely calm, allowing us to enjoy the scenery peacefully.

When disembarking, there was a suggestion to leave a tip in a container if you liked the experience.

アルコールのほかソフトドリンク（缶ジュース）も1缶$3で5種類くらいありました。最初に聞き取れたパイナップルジュースを購入しましたが、これがまた美味かった。
沖に向かっていくときは波に逆らって進むので上下に揺れ、テンションが上がります。ダイヤモンドヘッド灯台が良く見える位置まで向かったので割と移動距離も長めです。岸に戻る時は、一転ほとんど揺れないので、落ち着いて景色を堪能できます。
下船時に「良かったらそこの入れ物にチップをよろしく」的な話があります。

なお、乗る前に参加グループごとに船とダイヤモンドヘッドをバックに写真を撮ってくれます。下船時に2Lサイズの写真を見開きの簡易アルバムとして$20で購入を勧めてきます。購入は任意ですが、購入を考える方は荷物や履物は写らない場所に置いた方がいいと思います。私どもは購入したのですが、全員サンダルを手に持ってバンザイしているので笑えます。
それから船は乗る時のハシゴがある方が前です。水しぶきを多めに浴びたい方は前がお勧めです。
オアフ島でのオプショナルツアーは、必ずと言っていいほど、どこかしらから日本語が聞こえてきますが、こちらのツアーは良い意味で日本語と離れることができ海外に来たことを実感できます。

We participated as a family of four. For those who couldn't drink alcohol, there were soft drinks available. At first, we were served a drink made with juice and gin (?), and then we could refill our drinks; our family finished a bottle of champagne. Just as we started to feel the effects of the alcohol, the sunset was beautiful, and it felt wonderful. Beautiful and fun sunset cruise!!! Staff was so pleasant and never let us go without a drink. My new husband and I were in Ohau for our honeymoon and this cruise was a perfect way to get out on the water! Drinks were of great quantity and got us buzzed! The sunset was stunning and we saw two whales breach. Would definitely book this again! and highly recommend!

The views from the catamaran sail tour were outstanding. I saw two humpback whales breach. The crew was so friendly and helpful. It's a very popular tour, though, so book ahead on line to assure that you are able to have the experience. If your staying on Waikiki Beach, you can just walk down the beach to get on board. I would go again.

I participated in the sunset cruise on a catamaran. On the day of the event, we gathered at the catamaran booth located by the beachside of the Sheraton Hotel. There were already participants gathered, and once on board, there were about 40 people, creating a lively atmosphere.

Since I was staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village, I went directly to the meeting place. Please note that there is no office at the meeting location. I used Google Maps for navigation, and there were both Japanese and foreign participants. Drinks and snacks were provided as we departed. The yacht ride was comfortable, and we enjoyed views of Diamond Head and Oahu from the ocean side, which are not usually seen during sunset. There was plenty of time to enter the water, but I didn't go in because I didn't bring a snorkel, there didn't seem to be many fish, and it looked cold. However, those who did go in seemed to be having a great time floating around. If I had brought a snorkel, I might have gone in since I enjoy seeing underwater.
