I rode a submarine for the first time. At first, I wasn't very enthusiastic about it, but once I got on, I surprisingly felt like a kid again, even as an adult. There were six of us participating, and just like others mentioned, none of us experienced seasickness, allowing us to enjoy the underwater world. I didn't expect that such a large submarine would have fish coming so close to us, so it was a very valuable experience. However, since we went straight to this optional activity after arriving in Hawaii, everyone ended up falling asleep towards the end. Next time, I want to participate with more leisure.

I participated with my mother. I chose this experience because I wanted to show her the beauty of the ocean in Hawaii, even though she is not good at swimming. I was worried about the boat ride from the shore to the submarine since I am not good with boats, but I was able to move to the deck twice along the way, so I didn't get seasick. The submarine itself was stable and reassuring.

However, I was a bit disappointed that there were fewer fish than I expected. But it was worth it because my mother was happy.

Even elementary school students who found just Waikiki Beach and shopping insufficient were satisfied to go to the bottom of the sea in a real submarine. It's conveniently located for boarding, and it was great to participate as it also healed our tired bodies.

ワイキキビーチやショッピングだけでは物足りない小学生も、本物の潜水艦で海の底に行けたのには満足げでした。便利な場所から乗船できるし、疲れた身体も癒されて、参加して良かったです。

There was a mishap where I accidentally forgot the date I had reserved, but when I inquired over the phone in my broken English, they kindly allowed me to join on another day, and I was able to enjoy a fun sailing experience.

Some people were lying on the net stretched out at the front of the yacht and having a great time.
I also got to take a commemorative photo with the cool captain.
The female staff were very kind and helpful.
For those interested, you can purchase a DVD with many edited photos taken on the boat.
For small children, they provide life jackets, which is reassuring.
When boarding, the water can be up to your knees, so sandals are recommended.

I would love to participate again if I have the opportunity! ☆

予約していた日をうっかり忘れてすっぽかしてしまうハプニングがあったのですが
電話で拙い英語で問い合わせてみると快く他の日に参加できるようにして下さり
無事楽しいセーリングに参加する事ができました。
（有難うございました！！）
ヨットの前の方に張ってあるネットで寝転んで楽しんでおられる方もいました。
あとカッコイイ船長さんと記念写真も撮ってもらえました。
女性のスタッフも親切に対応してくれました。
希望者には船上で撮ったたくさんの写真を編集したDVD？を購入する事ができます。
小さな子どもさんには　ライフジャケットをつけてもらえるので安心です。
乗り込むときは足元が膝くらいまで濡れてしまいますのでサンダルがおススメです。

又機会がありましたら参加してみたいです☆

This was my first experience on a submarine, and the tour is designed in such a way that even those who can't scuba dive or snorkel can fully appreciate the beauty and mystery of the underwater world. It starts off slowly and gradually, but right after submerging, the view of the shimmering water surface from below is stunningly beautiful. At times, it feels so mystical that you might even question whether you're underwater or in the sky, with colorful fish that seem to be flying.

There are also areas where boats and planes serve as artificial reefs, and you can see a particularly wide variety of fish there. While I didn't see any sharks, I was able to spot sea turtles quite well. The guide's Japanese was entertaining, and the pamphlet provided for following along with the live commentary was clear and well-made.

One thing to note is that the shuttle ride to board the submarine can make you feel seasick, so if you're worried about that, it's a good idea to bring motion sickness medication. Also, the air conditioning inside the submarine is very effective (especially at your feet), so I recommend using the restroom before boarding and wearing pants instead of shorts.

潜水艦は初めてでしたが、スキューバやシュノーケルが出来ない人でも海の中の美しさや神秘さまでもが充分に伝わるツアーになっていますよ。段階的にゆっくりと始まるのですが、沈んだ直後に海中から見える水面がきらきらと美しく、途中ここは海なのか空なのか錯覚するくらいに神秘的で、色とりどりの魚たちがまるで空を飛んでいるようにも感じる時が何度もありました。
船や飛行機が人工のサンゴ礁の変わりになっているところもあり、そこでは特にたくさんの種類の魚たちが見ることが出来ます。サメは見られませんでしたが海亀もしっかりと見ることが出来ました。ガイドの方の日本語がおもしろおかしく、ライブ中継を聞きながら確認できるように配られたパンプレットもわかりやすくよく出来ていました。注意点としては、潜水艦に乗り込むまでのシャトルで船酔いしそうになるので心配な方は酔い止めを用意したほうがいいことと、潜水艦内の冷房が大変よく利いている（特に足元）ので、潜水艦乗船前のシャトルではトイレは済ませ短パンではなくズボンを履いていったほうがいいと思います。

I think it can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age. It's safe, and the explanations and guidance are provided in a thorough manner, so I think it's better to have a Japanese guide. The interior of the ship was not as cramped as I had imagined, and I didn't feel concerned about my neighbors. I was able to see rays swimming gracefully and many turtles in the relaxed sea. I participated with my 3-year-old child on February 10th. As expected, I got seasick on the boat to the submarine, which was quite tough. The travel time was about 10 minutes, but including the transfer time for other groups, we had about 15 to 20 minutes of docking time near the submarine, and I felt nauseous during that time as well. There are only two toilets on that boat, so I recommend using the restroom at the hotel before boarding. (Also, entering that toilet made me feel even more nauseous due to the cramped, sealed space.)

I was expecting to see colorful corals and fish inside the submarine, but perhaps because it was deep underwater or due to the lack of light, everything appeared to be a bluish color. This was unexpected and quite disappointing. At the five points we visited, there were many fish at the last point, but the others were rather lackluster. It was different from what I had imagined, and I felt sad and got more seasick than I expected, making it a tough tour. However, I think riding the submarine was a good experience, but once is enough.

コレが予想外で、かなり悲しかったです。
魚も５つのﾎﾟｲﾝﾄでは、最後のﾎﾟｲﾝﾄはたくさん魚がいましたが、他はいまいちな感じでした。
ちょっと、思っていたものとは違い、悲しかったし、予想以上に酔ってしまい、ツライツアーでした。
でも、潜水艦に乗れたのは、良い経験だったと思いますが、１回乗れば十分。という感じでした。

I decided to participate after seeing comments about the submarine and really wanted to experience it. I have a scuba diving license, but my wife and children can't dive, so I wanted to show them the underwater world of Hawaii.

I joined the 9 AM tour. While waiting at the meeting point near our hotel, a trolley bus with a blue ocean pattern arrived, and they provided guidance in Japanese.

We arrived at the Hilton Hotel by bus. We then went to a nearby pier and boarded the boat there. I was worried because there were comments about the boat rocking, but the sea was calm that day. However, they did explain about the motion sickness bags, so it might rock at times.

　いよいよ潜水艦に乗り込みましたが、前のほうに座ってコックピットも見たいと思ってならんでいました。潜水艦の前後に出入り口があり、はしごで降りていくのですが、前後に振り分けられてたまたま前のほうに座ることができました。
　乗るとすぐに魚の群れが見られました。窓も大きく、席もゆったりしていて快適でした。もぐり始めるとさらに、魚の種類が増え、いくつかの漁礁を通ると、かめやさめなども見ることができました。妻と子供は大喜び。私も興奮してみていました。
　前日に水族館やハナウマ湾のシュノーケリングをして、魚たちを見ていたので、この魚は水族館にいたとかハナウマ湾で見たとか大盛り上がりでした。
　興奮していて時間がわかりませんが５０分程度の時間があっという間でした。
　帰りは、アラモアナショッピングセンターや宿泊ホテルなど指定場所まで送ってくれました。
　とにかく感激でした。

However, the journey to board the submarine was quite challenging. The boat from the Sheraton was very rocky, and out of our family of eight, four members got seasick. The motion sickness medicine we bought on board took a while to work (which is to be expected), and unfortunately, some ended up getting sick. If you are prone to motion sickness, be sure to take medicine beforehand. (It might be safer for those who don't usually get sick to take it as well...)

I run a creator management company located in Ebisu. This was my seventh visit to Oahu (I think?) to attend a colleague's wedding.

On the day before the ceremony, Saturday, October 28, we made a reservation for the 9:00 AM submarine tour, which two male employees attended. Based on a strong recommendation from a registered staff member who is also a commercial director, saying "You absolutely must ride the submarine," we booked without hesitation.

On the day of the tour, a shuttle bus picked us up near the hotel and took us to the yacht harbor next to the Hilton Hotel. After about a 10-minute ride on a boat that can hold around 80 people, we were greeted by two submarines ready for the 9:00 and 10:00 AM tours. (The boat had a restroom, but we were told, "If you need to go, please do it here," which added a bit of tension.) The sea was calm that day, but those prone to seasickness might find it easier to get sick on the boat than in the submarine. It’s recommended to go out on the deck and feel the wind. (The middle of the boat is said to be less prone to seasickness.)

Once we reached the site, several cheerful crew members welcomed us aboard the submarine, which was already prepared. Inside, there was more space than I expected; there was a single row of seats back-to-back, accommodating about 35 people each (a total of 70).

On the way back, we had the option to take a shuttle bus to Ala Moana Shopping Center, which was very thoughtful. For those looking to add a little variety to their Oahu experience, this attraction comes highly recommended. The boat and submarine both had Japanese-speaking guides. Mahalo!

社員の結婚式に参列する為に7回目（？）のオアフ島でした。

式前日の10月28日（土）に9:00からの回を、男性社員二人で予約し参加。事前に、ＣＭディレクターでもある登録スタッフの方の「絶対、潜水艦にのるべき」との強い推薦もあり、迷わず予約していました。

当日は、迎えのバスがホテル近くまできて、ヒルトンホテル横のヨットハーバーへ。
そこから沖まで80名くらいが乗れる船で約10分ほどいくと、9:00と10:00から用の潜水艦２隻がお出迎え。（その船はトイレがありますが、「ここで行く方はいってください」とあおられてちょっと緊張感が走ります。）
この日は波もなく静かでしたが、酔い易い人は潜水艦よりも、この船で酔ってしまうとのこと。船のデッキに出て風にあたりましょう。（船の真ん中が酔わないそうですよ）

沖につくと、にこやかな笑顔のクルー数名が甲板にのった潜水艦が、既に準備万端で、順番に船から潜水艦にのり込んでいきます。中は思ったよりスペースがあり、
背中合わせに1列のみのシートですが、35名づつくらい（合計70名）座れます。

そして潜水開始。あまりスピード感はなく、むしろゆっくり潜り、進む感じです。
海の中の景色は、正直プランクトンでちょっと白っぽいなぁという感想ですが、
少し進むと、飛行機やら沈没船やら亀やら鮫やらダイバーやら･･･、もちろん沢山の熱帯魚も、いろんなものに遭遇できました。その都度おーと上がる歓声。写真も取れるのでとっても楽しいです。（ガイドさん曰くは、このはラッキーといっていましたが）

欲を言えば、もうちょっとスピードがあると楽しいそうですが、それは、カップルならば問題なしだと思います。やっぱり男二人ではね･･･。笑
隣に座り合わせてお話した美人親子もとても満喫してましたね。
（また、お会いしたいですね~。）

帰りは、アラモアナショッピングセンターへの送りバスも選べて、とっても親切。
今までにのオアフにちょっと変化を付けたい人には、超お勧めのアトラクションです。船も潜水艦も、日本語ガイドつきでーす。マハロー

This is my third time in Hawaii, but I feel like I've seen a new side of it. I usually get seasick easily and have claustrophobia, so I was very anxious about participating. However, once I dove into the ocean, I was drawn into that world and had a great time. Meeting a sea turtle was the best!!!

ハワイの海中はとてもきれいで、魚や海ガメを見ることが出来ました。潜水艦の中での説明は英語ですので、説明をじっくり聞きたい人は少し不満かもしれません。

私が申し込んだ時は天候により一旦キャンセルになったのですが、現地で再申し込みをして無事潜水艦に乗ることが出来ました。再申し込みは現地カウンターでも電話（予約券に電話番号が書いてあります）でも出来ます。日本語で大丈夫です。

The sunset cruising on the day we arrived in Hawaii was fantastic for our family of four (two children in the second and fourth grades and my wife).

Benefit 1: It's safe for children. We dressed the kids in marine boots to prevent slipping and in towel-like clothing (a cover-up for the poolside). When boarding the yacht, they splashed in the sea up to their knees before climbing the ladder. Be careful with sneakers as they won't dry by the next morning. The boat can sway, so marine boots are recommended to avoid slipping. When the kids board, the crew members lift them up, which is reassuring. My second daughter, in the second grade, was on the net of ropes stretched in front of the mast of the catamaran. Below the rope net is the sea itself. When a few waves came, the yacht swayed, splashing water, and she happily went towards the splashes, saying it was like a roller coaster. I thought the drinks were free, but when I ordered a special cocktail with the yacht's design, it was $4. It's quite a large serving, so sharing one between two people might be better. We participated in the 10:00 session on August 15th with our family of four (two children). The pickup arrived almost on time, and the shuttle with the blue submarine pattern, as listed on the Atlantis website, was there. Perhaps because it was a Japanese group, the staff member in a sailor-like uniform spoke fluent Japanese. After handing over the voucher, we headed to the Hilton pier. After a group photo (one photo for $20), we boarded the shuttle boat. It was quite rocky, and some people seemed to get seasick, but our family was all energetic, enjoying the view of the sea from the second deck when a staff member took our picture.

Since there were many participants, three submarines were waiting offshore. First, those with yellow tickets transferred to the submarine. Our red tickets were for the second submarine, which was fully booked with 48 seats. The guide was very good at Japanese and explained everything while incorporating jokes. We saw sea turtles and spent 40 minutes peering through the round windows at many fish without getting bored. Our family took our first submarine trip together. The kids, who had never seen the ocean floor before, were so excited! Our guide was Japanese and provided clear explanations, so I highly recommend it. I read in a review that if you sit in the back of the submarine, you can get a seat in the very front, so we did just that. We were able to sit right behind the cockpit and had a great view through the large front window. According to the kids, they also saw 14 sea turtles!

I made a reservation for the 9 AM tour and boarded a dedicated trolley at the bus stop in front of the hotel to head to the dock at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Once on the shuttle boat to the submarine, it was quite rocky, possibly due to the waves. After about 10 minutes, we arrived at the offshore submarine docking point, and passengers were divided among three submarines. Since we couldn't board each submarine directly, those boarding the third submarine had to wait nearly 30 minutes after leaving the port. On the way back, it was the reverse; passengers from the first submarine had to stay on the shuttle boat until the other two submarines surfaced and picked up their passengers, so it took longer than expected. Additionally, the shuttle boat swayed much more once we were offshore compared to when we were in the harbor, so those prone to seasickness should definitely take motion sickness medication. While I've mentioned some downsides, the experience after boarding the submarine and diving was absolutely amazing. The world visible through the windows was unlike anything I had ever seen, and even I, who usually hardly takes photos, found myself continuously pressing the shutter. Furthermore, the guide on my submarine provided explanations in Japanese, filled with jokes and lessons about the ocean, making the time fly by. While there is a risk of seasickness, I believe the rewards far outweigh it. I highly recommend it!!

朝９時の回を予約し、ホテル前のバス停で専用トロリーに乗り込みヒルトンハワイアンビレッジの船着き場へ向かいました。潜水艦へのシャトルボートに乗り込むと波があるせいか結構揺れました。10分ほどで沖合の潜水艦停泊ポイントに到着し、乗客は３隻の潜水艦に分かれて乗り込むのですが、それぞれの潜水艦に横付けしないと乗り込めないため、３隻めの潜水艦に乗る人は港を出てから30分近くかかってします。帰りはその逆で１隻めの潜水艦の乗客は残り２隻が浮上してそれらの乗客をピックアップするまでシャトルボートに乗っていなければならないので、思ったよりは時間がかかります。またシャトルボートは沖合に出たら港にいるときと比べ物にならないくらいに揺れるので船酔いしやすい人は酔い止め薬が必須でしょう。と、マイナス面ばかり書きましたが、潜水艦に乗り込んで潜行してからはすばらしい体験の連続です。窓から見える世界はこれまでに見たことのないもので、普段ほとんど写真を撮らない私ですらひっきりなしにシャッターを押してしまうほどでした。また、私の乗った潜水艦はガイドさんが日本語でいろいろと説明してくれて、ジョークあり海についてのお勉強ありで、とにかくあっという間に時間が過ぎました。船酔いというリスクはありますが、それを補って余りあるリターンがあると思います。絶対おすすめです!!

I thought I would want to ride a yacht when I saw the blue ocean in Hawaii, so I made a reservation in advance. I told my companions that being in the sun would quickly alleviate any jet lag, using it as an excuse to choose this activity on the first day. The deep blue of the ocean, the refreshing breeze, and the strong sun were beautiful even in the evening. What surprised me was that the majority of the passengers were Americans, or rather, white people. They were lively and cheerful, which lifted my spirits and made me feel very happy. I had planned to enjoy the sunset while relaxing. Well, this is part of the journey. By the way, the check-in was on the sandy beach of Waikiki, which was somewhat confusing, and I felt a bit anxious about whether I was in the right place. This time, I participated in the sunset cruise. I have been on various boats in the past, but the best part of this cruise was how close we were to the sea! You can really feel the surface of the water and the waves right there. The boat has seats, but at the front, there’s just a sturdy net stretched out, and you can see the water below you from there, allowing you to sit directly on it. At first, it’s a bit scary, but once you get used to it, it feels really nice, and I highly recommend it. However, be careful if you sit at the very front, as you might get splashed by the waves (^^).

I usually get seasick, but I didn’t feel any motion sickness at all on this open, breezy cruise.

For those who will participate in the future, here’s some information:
- You board the boat directly from the sandy beach, so your feet will get wet. It’s better to wear shoes that you don’t mind getting wet.
- It can be hot when the sun is out, but it gets chilly on the way back. I think it’s a good idea to bring a long-sleeve shirt.
- On the way back, there’s a place to wash your feet before entering the hotel from the beach. Having a towel is convenient.
- As for the restroom... it takes some courage to use it. The restroom door is a bit see-through, so I think it’s better for women to assume there isn’t one.

今回はサンセットクルーズの方に参加しました。
クルーズは、過去にも大小とりどりの船に乗ったことがありますが、このクルーズでの一番のよかったところは「海が近い！」。海面と波がすぐそこに感じられます。船にはいすはありますが、前の方には、床というか底というか、丈夫な網が張られただけで、見下ろすと海面が見える場所があり、そこに直接座れるようになっています。最初は怖いですが、これが慣れるとかなり気持ちがよく、お薦めです。但し、本当に前の方に座ると、波を直接浴びることもありますのでご用心ください（＾＾）。
私は、船には弱い方ですが、この開放感あふれ、風が気持ちのよいクルーズでは全く船酔いしませんでした。

今後参加される方のための情報として、
・船に乗るのは砂浜から直接乗りますので、足が水につかります。
　ぬれてもいい靴を履いていった方がいいです。
・日が出ているときは暑いですが、帰りは冷えます。長袖は持参した方がいいと思います。
・帰り、浜辺からホテルの中に入る際に、足を洗う場所があります。タオル１枚あると便利です。
・トイレ。。。ここに入るには勇気がいります。トイレのドアは少々透けていますので、女性の方はトイレはないものと思っていた方がいいと思います。
・アルコールが出るので、乗船前に年齢がわかるものを見せるよう言われます。
　パスポートのコピーとか持っていくと、便利かもしれません。

Yesterday, I had my first experience sailing. I wanted to write about it while the excitement was still fresh.

First, I handed my voucher to the blonde lady at the reception and checked in smoothly. This lady was quite beautiful, I must say. Since we were departing from the beach, beach sandals are better than regular shoes. By the way, I made the mistake of wearing regular shoes... (^｡^;) I heard there were 48 participants today, and I thought, "Wait, can 48 people fit on this?" But surprisingly, there was plenty of room, and it felt like we could still fit more.

The instructor was very energetic, and with some drinks involved, the atmosphere was really lively. It's amazing how the boat moves just with the wind. Seeing Oahu from the sea is not bad at all, especially with the nice breeze.

It seems like not many Japanese people know about this, but it's a hidden gem. If you're looking for a place without many Japanese people, this is definitely an option. Of course, I think you can still have a great time even if there are Japanese people around.

Also, I really want you to try the restroom! The restroom is truly amazing. You'll understand once you go in.

The price is really reasonable, and I highly recommend it!

昨日、セーリング初体験しました。
興奮冷めないうちに　書き込みしてみました。

まずは受付の金髪のお姉さんにバウチャーを渡し、すんなりチェックイン
このお姉さんはかなり美人！！だとおもわれます。
海岸から出発なので、普通の靴よりはビーチサンダルのが
よいですね。ちなみに自分は普通の靴で失敗したのですが。。(^｡^;)
今日の参加人数は４８人と聞き　「え？？４８人乗れるの？」
とおもったのですが、ところがどっこい余裕で乗れまだ乗れるじゃないか
って感じでした。
インストラクターもテンション高く、酒も入ってきてかなり盛り上がりました。
風だけで船って動くもんなんすね。。
オアフ島を海から見るってのも悪くないです。しかも風が気持ちいいんです。

日本人にはあまり知られてないみたいですけど
これは穴ですよ。。日本人いないとこ選ぶならここは選択肢の一つです。
もちろん日本人がいても同様に楽しめるとおもいますけどね~

あとは是非トイレに挑戦してもらいたい！！
トイレはほんとすごいんです。　入ってみたらわかります。。

ほんと値段も安いしお勧めですよ！！
