As others have shared, there were mostly black fish, but it was great to see the turtles up close. It was cloudy and drizzling, so I had a towel and something to wear over me, but it was still cold in the sea and on the boat. When we went further out, the sun came out and it got warmer, but the cruising was cold and I couldn't feel any elegance... I think it would have been much better if it had been sunny.☆

It was just my daughter and me participating. We were the only Japanese people there. It was not a problem that I didn't understand much English. I was looking for snorkeling without the need to wear a life jacket, so I could dive freely, and the staff was nearby. There were also buoy-like floaties, which should provide reassurance for those who are not confident swimmers. If you're feeling anxious, relaxing on the boat might be a good option as well. The staff also joined us in snorkeling and made it enjoyable. The sailing after snorkeling was fantastic. The view of Waikiki from the sea was a luxurious experience that is hard to come by. I will definitely participate again next time.

The tour guides had great attitudes and were very nice especially when working on Christmas day. Only a 5 minute ride to turtle canyon where there were 5-10 turtles as well as a lot of fish. The water was very refreshing and clear. We saw Dolphins adter snorkeling and they literally came within 2 feet of the boat. This tour was extremely worth it. This is a must if you're staying in Waikiki and want to do a fun activity.

I was looking for a snorkeling tour and chose this one that departs from the beach in Waikiki. It's very convenient as the meeting point is just a short walk from the hotel! We were the only Japanese participants, but the cheerful staff created a friendly atmosphere. Although there weren't many fish while snorkeling, I had the precious experience of swimming with a turtle, which became a great memory. After about an hour of snorkeling, we sailed for about an hour off the coast of Waikiki, encountering a pod of dolphins and enjoying a unique experience that is hard to find in Japan. My husband caught a cold and couldn't go snorkeling, but he seemed satisfied with the sailing. Since fins are not available for rent, it's better to bring your own if you have them. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that although we had photos taken and purchased them, the subjects were too dark due to backlighting. However, since we were well taken care of, I bought them as a tip.

Had a great time very few folks on the trip. Crew was great they knew where to go to get on the turtles. Chris was busy looking for other things to show us so got to see a lot more than just the turtles. Nice thing about the morning trip is that we got there before a lot of other folks so there were plenty of turtles on the reef.

Good trip; dependent on ocean conditions

I took this trip on my own. The staff were very friendly and personable and laid back. The catamaran was quite large and fit everyone comfortably. Unfortunately, the water was quite silty and therefore the visibility was poor. I saw a couple of turtles and a few fish, but overall the snorkeling portion of the trip was disappointing. It sounds like from other reviews it is not always this way, so I may have just been unlucky. After snorkeling, we sailed around, which was fun. Subway subs were provided for lunch; however there were no vegetarian friendly subs - I would recommend for the future that this option be made available.

Overall, the trip was good but would have been much better had the visibility been better.

Every year I go to Hawaii, but this was my first time sailing off Waikiki. There were about 10 participants that day, and we were the only Japanese. The ride was comfortable without any nausea-inducing swaying. The view of Waikiki from the sea was exceptional. There were quite a few turtles at the snorkeling point, which was enjoyable. However, there were no life jackets, just a floating noodle. They provide snorkeling gear for free, so if you're anxious, it's better to bring your own. The other catamaran tour I considered had life jackets (I noticed since they were at the same point). Drinks and snacks are available for purchase, so I recommend bringing your own water. The staff only spoke English but were friendly and kind. Since it departs from Waikiki Beach, it's easy to join, so I recommend it.

From start to beginning, these guys were amazing. Their personalised service and knowledge of all that surrounded was second to none. We were a group of 7 and were all paid equal attention. snorkelling - Awesome for turtle lovers like me. I saw so may honu and a few dark coloured fish!! no colourful fish, so if that's what you're after, this isn't the tour for you.
overall - I came to see turtles and I saw turtles :) it was a grewat bonus to sail around the ocean for a while.

This is our second time to join the sail. Again, it is great. We swam with turtles and saw lots of fish and big turtles. During the sail, we saw lots of dolphins. The sailing experience was exciting and great. The crews are nice. We will do it again next time when we come back!

My parents and I went on this snorkel trip as kind of a last minute thing and it was absolutely amazing. There is usually about 25 people on the boat but we got lucky and were aboard the boat with just one other family of three, also with a teenager. The snorkeling spot is perfect! I would definitely recommend bringing fins, they aren't provided or required but your experience will be much better with them. There are lots of fish but not a huge variety. The main thing is the turtles and there's plenty of those! They chill at the bottom and occasionally come up for air. If you have fins you can dive down about 15 feet and be near them. It's incredible being face to face with a turtle. The boat provides you with fun noodles if you would like to float at the top and look and that helped out the people who didn't bring fins. They also have one guy out there diving with you and keeping an eye on things which makes you feel really safe while snorkeling. After about 45 mins-hour, we got back on the boat and ate some sandwiches. There's drinks for sale as well. We then went on an hour long sail pretty far out there. If you don't mind getting wet you can sit or lay across the nets in the front and it's really fun. If you have younger kids or aren't comfortable in the water then I think you'll need to bring your own lifejacket. I'm sure they probably had them someplace on the boat but they weren't given to you and you don't really need them. All in all the trip was extremely fun and well worth the price ( which is better than any others we could find). Would definitely recommend this and we might even do it again before leaving for home.

As soon as I walked on to the Spirit of Aloha boat, I knew it was going to be a good time. It wasn't too full, and it allowed for more room and comfort on the ride. Captain Dustin gave us a run down of the tour, and gave us free reign of the boat (less the Captain's chair of course). Masa helped us with our gear and Brad swam out to the snorkel spot with us. Yes, Brad knows where the turtles are. We saw tons of turtles, all with big personalities that were bigger than there shells. We twice got to see a turtle swim up to the surface! I never expected to see such humongous turtles. I named one of them Soldier because he was missing one flipper and the shell was pretty damaged, but he swam quite happily. I saw a pair of turtles even hold fins like buddies. It was too cute. The water was perfect and it was a beautiful day. We got back on the boat and Brad helped us with lunch. I highly recommend this snorkel cruise!

This time, we traveled with our children, but we participated in this tour as a couple. It was fun to see sea turtles up close and observe tropical fish. If you have children who can swim, around elementary school age, they can participate with confidence. (In fact, there were also children who appeared to be in elementary school with us.) The guide spoke in English and was very kind.

What a rich experience it was to go on a yacht cruise. On top of that, the snorkeling tour was a great value for the price. Although I couldn't speak any Japanese, I managed just fine with gestures. The captain and the staff who assisted with snorkeling were friendly and pleasant.
