The opening is at 17:15 and it's first come, first served, but the actual opening is at 17:30, and you will be guided to your seats while taking photos, which makes it extremely late. Additionally, you will be split into two groups for seating, so just lining up early doesn’t guarantee good seats. The meal is a typical buffet style, but if you don’t grab everything in one round, they start clearing it away quickly. It’s tough, but I recommend taking two plates to get your food. Just when I thought the show was getting exciting, it ended nearly an hour earlier than expected. (It was supposed to end around 20:15, but it actually ended at 19:20.) It was so bad that I requested a refund, but I was told it was not eligible. The staff at Veltra were very sincere in their response, but the event itself was the worst.

It was very good. I think there were many Western audience members. Perhaps because of that, the audience was lively, and the overall atmosphere was very American. There was a lot of seated poses that did not take advantage of appreciating the beautiful setting, which is the point of doing yoga on the beach. I’m glad we were in the shade, but also would have loved to be closer to the ocean and an earlier class to allow for more things to do later in the day and not as much sun and heat to allow for being closer to the water.

The buffet had a wide variety of options, which was great.
I was glad to be able to watch the hula dance show for a full hour.
I thought it was very unique, especially when the host invited guests to come up on stage or dance from their seats, which is something you don't see everywhere.

Aha Aina Royal Hawaiian Luau - Waikiki Oceanfront Luau Dinner Show

We thought his luau was be dry boring and the show was not entertaining. We also are a younger couple it seemed maybe more geared toward older folks we called it the “retirement home luau” it was pretty disappointing for the last day of the trip. Also the food was a pre-fixed menu where u were waited on but for a picky eater it was not a good choice. I also went pregnant and the main appetizer was raw fish. I also don’t eat beef so all I was able to have was two tiny pieces of chicken and a small scoop of rice which was very mid. With two shrimps only. We both left hungry from a luau! Which is crazy it is supposed to be plentiful in food.
