I've been to Hawaii countless times, but just like how people living in Tokyo may never have climbed Tokyo Tower, I've passed by the Polynesian Cultural Center many times, thinking I could go anytime... and it's been decades. This time, I finally went to see the show! I was just so moved ❤! Even though I didn't understand the words, I was completely drawn into the show, and it was the best moment! On the way back, my bus was parked in a different location, and I panicked a bit with the tour group, but I definitely want to bring my parents next time!

ポリネシア文化センターの前は何度も通ってはいたものの、いつでも行けるな～と思いながらウン十年…
今回、初めてショーを見に行きました！
もぅ感動❤の一言！
言葉は解らなくてもどんどんショーの中に引きこまれ、最高のひと時でした！
帰りのバスが私のバスだけ離れた場所に駐車してあり、帰りはツアーの方と一緒に焦りましたが、次回は両親も連れて是非行きたいと思いました！

I go to Hawaii every year, but since it has been renewed after a long time, I participated in the tour.

The guide's explanations on the bus were easy to understand, and the staff in the newly renovated park were very kind. The ancient games were also refreshing. The meal options have improved, and I was satisfied with the cost performance. If there had been a little more free time, I would have liked to look for souvenirs...

毎年行くハワイですが、久しぶりにリニューアルされた事もあり、ツアー参加しました。

バスの車内のガイドさんの説明もわかりやすく、更に、リニューアルされた園内も担当の方が、
とても親切でした。
　古代のゲームも新鮮でした。
食事内容も良くなっていて、コストパフォーマンスも満足です。
もう少し、自由時間があれば、お土産も見たかったです・・・。

Dinner was in a buffet style and it was delicious. The show was also very impressive; even if you don't understand English, the story comes across and you can enjoy it. *I was a bit anxious on the way back because the bus was completely dark, but there were plenty of guides around, so if you didn't understand something, you could ask in Japanese.*

ショーも迫力満点、英語わからなくてもストーリーが伝わり、楽しめます。

The Polynesian show was a great opportunity, but the seats were too far away, so it lacked impact. I should have opted for the more expensive plan instead of being cheap. Including my own reflection, I decided to give it 2 stars instead of just 1.

せっかくのポリネシアショーですが座席が遠すぎてあまり迫力がありませんでした。どうせならケチらないで高い方のプランにしておけば良かったです。自分への反省を含め星1つではなく星2つ付けさせてもらいました。

I thoroughly enjoyed the dances from various Polynesian countries. The deluxe seating was right next to the stage, providing an impressive experience. Additionally, the food was great, and I was able to enjoy a leisurely and delicious dinner.

ポリネシア各国のダンスを大いに楽しめました、デラックスは観覧席も舞台のすぐそばで迫力満点でした、それに食事も良くゆっくりと美味しいディナーが食べられました。

The show was worth the money, as everyone had strong presence, and even the people on the edges danced with the same intensity as the main performers! The dinner featured delicious premium ribs, and the fruits were sweet and plentiful.

ショーは、みんなが目力が強くて、端っこの人も主役と同じような気迫で踊っていて、お金を払って見た価値がありました！ディナーは、プレミアムリブが美味しかったです。あとはフルーツが甘くてたくさん食べれました。

First of all, the car ride to the Polynesian Cultural Center was super cold! The air conditioning was too strong, and I asked others to adjust it, but... When we arrived at the Polynesian Cultural Center, a Japanese exchange student guided us, and they were very pleasant and likable. They provided simultaneous interpretation during the show, and the stories while we were on the boat were interesting and kept us engaged. The buffet had a limited selection, and I thought, "Well, this is what it is..." However, the night show was powerful and moving. We had standard seats, but there were no issues with visibility. After the show, I was worried about finding the bus in the parking lot, but I found it right away. I thought it might have been nice to stay a little longer.

まず、ポリネシア文化センターに行くまでの車内が超寒かったです！
エアコンが効きすぎていて、他の方が調整してくれるようお願いしてましたが・・・
ポリネシア文化センターに着くと、日本人の留学生が案内してくれるのですが、とても感じがよく好感が持てました。
ショーで話していることは同時通訳してくれるし、船に乗っているときの話はおもしろく、飽きることがありませんでした。
ビュッフェは品数が少なく、まあこんなものかと思いましたが…
ナイトショーは迫力があり感動しました。
スタンダード席でしたが、見え方には特に問題ありませんでした。
ショーが終わった後、駐車場のバスが見つかるか心配でしたが、すぐ見つかりました。
もう少し長く滞在しても良かったかなと思いました。

I participated in the afternoon tour. I was sound asleep on the bus as usual (laughs).

In the afternoon, we toured the park with a Japanese university student guide. The sun was quite strong, and since we would be walking a lot, it’s better not to carry heavy things. I think it’s more enjoyable to join a tour rather than just wandering around, as we got to hear various stories about the Polynesian countries. The show from Tonga was lively, with a Korean person really getting into it. It seemed like the English wasn’t getting through, and their funny movements made me laugh a lot.

For lunch, I chose the luau, which was a buffet of Polynesian cuisine. There was quite a variety, and it was fun. They even had a whole roasted pig! I selected desserts that weren’t too sweet, and I was satisfied with the meal. While enjoying the food, we could also enjoy dances on stage and participate in audience interaction dances. It might be fun for newlyweds! Couples from newlyweds to those who have been married for a long time came up to celebrate, greeting everyone and doing a simple dance... it was a wonderful show.

The evening show was full of excitement, and it felt like watching a performance by the Shiki Theatre Company; it was enjoyable. Some people got tired and fell asleep, but the fire show was amazing, and I’m glad I went to see it!

昼からのツアーに参加していきました。バスは相変わらず爆睡で（笑）
午後について、ガイドの日本人の大学生さんと一緒に園内を回ります。結構日差しもあったし、歩くので、重いものは持たない方がいいですね。ポリネシアンの国々ついていろんなお話も聞けるので、ふらっといくよりツアーの方が楽しそうだなと思います。トンゴのショーは韓国人の人がのりのりで、英語が伝わっていないのか、面白い動きをして、すごく笑いました。

ご飯はルアウにしました。ポリネシアンの料理のビュッフェです。結構いろいろあって楽しかったです。豚の丸焼きもでてきましたよ！
デザートも甘すぎずのものを選び、満足いく料理でした。料理いただきながら、ステージで踊りや、お客さん参加型のダンスなどが楽しめる感じです。新婚さんはいくと楽しいかも！ご夫婦新婚さんから熟年の方まで、お祝いで参加している方が前にでて、挨拶と簡単なダンスをするという。。。すてきなショーでした。

夜のショーは迫力満点で、劇団四季とか見ている感じで、楽しかったです。
疲れて寝てしまう人もいたけれど。。ファイヤーショーもすごかったし、見に行ってよかったです！

It was very powerful and moving! I highly recommend it as a finale for your trip to Hawaii.
I signed up for the deluxe course early on. The difference between the deluxe and standard courses is the dining and the seating for the show. I definitely recommend the deluxe course!
The meal is served buffet-style, and even if you get tired of barbecue, the roast steak is really delicious. Also, the fried chicken tasted a lot like Kentucky Fried Chicken and was tasty.
The seating for the show is chosen randomly, but I was lucky enough to be in the second row from the front.
The show is composed of English and a local language that I couldn't quite understand, but you could sense what they were trying to express. The fire dance was very powerful, and even from the second row, I could feel the heat of the flames. The dancing was very synchronized, making it enjoyable to watch and listen to. I highly recommend it!

とても迫力があり、感動しました！ハワイ旅行のフィナーレにめちゃんこおすすめです。
私は早い時期にデラックスコースを申し込みました。デラックスコースとスタンダードコースの違いは、食事とショーの観客席になります。絶対デラックスコースの方がおすすめです！
食事はバイキング形式ですが、(バーベキューに飽きていても)ロースステーキがとても美味しいです。また、フライドチキンはケンタッキーみたいな味で美味しかったです。
ショーの席は勝手に選択されてしまいますが、運良く前から２列目でした。
ショーは英語と現地の訳のわからない言語で構成されていますが、感覚的に何を表現したいのかかがわかるものでした。また、ファイヤーダンスがとても迫力があり、前から２列目でもその火の熱さがわかりました。ダンスもとても揃っていて、見て聞いて楽しめるものです。めちゃんこおすすめです！

I visited 35 years ago and was looking forward to it. The content of the dance show has changed quite a bit, which is to be expected, right? *laughs*

The tour was in Japanese, and we were taken to six villages where we received detailed explanations. However, I wish we had a bit more time in each village.

ツアーは日本語で、６つの村につれていってもらい、詳しい説明を受けました。
ただ、一つ一つの村での時間がもう少しあればいいなと思いました。

This time, I participated from noon. As soon as I arrived, the canoe show started, and I was already overwhelmed from that point. Is it held once a day? I think this show is a must-see.

After that, we toured each village while the guide explained things to us. The guide was a student, but he answered our questions accurately (though he did forget some things occasionally, which was funny), and it was very educational. The experiences that showcased the characteristics of the region were also enjoyable.

For the meal afterward, I chose the deluxe option, and I was satisfied. The banana ice cream was delicious. And finally, it was time for the show. We were in the second row, right in the middle, so the intensity was incredible, and the energy came through directly.

There was a proper storyline, and it was truly an impressive show.

今回はお昼から参加しました。着いてからすぐにカヌーショーが始まりましたが、すでにそこから圧倒されました。1日に1回なのでしょうか？このショーは見た方がいいと思います。
その後は、ガイドさんに説明されながら、それぞれの村を周ります。ガイドさんは学生さんだそうですが、聞いたことにも的確に答えてくれ(たまにド忘れしちゃったこともありましたが笑)、とても勉強になりました。地域の特徴が出ている体験も、楽しかったです。
その後のお食事は、デラックスにしたので満足でした。バナナアイスが美味しかった
です。そしていよいよショーです。今回は2列目の真ん中でしたので迫力もすごく、熱がダイレクトに伝わってきました。
ちゃんとしたストーリーがあり、本当に圧巻のショーでした。

I visited the Polynesian Cultural Center about 20 years ago, and I was satisfied with how much more content there was this time. The canoe show and the experiences in the village especially became great memories. The guide was also a student from Japan. However, it got a bit tiring since it was late at night.

20年ほど前にポリネシア文化センターには行ったことがあるのですが、前回より内容が充実しており満足しました。特にカヌーショウや村での体験はいい思い出になりました。
ガイドの学生さんも日本からの留学生でした。
ただ、夜が遅くなるので少し疲れました。

I signed up for the standard plan because the 50th anniversary campaign price was a great deal. I didn't have high expectations for the food, but there were more varieties than I anticipated, and the portions were quite generous, so I was pretty satisfied. The show was undeniably moving. With a story-driven progression, there were various dances to see, and it was very impressive. Perhaps because it was a bit far from Waikiki, there weren't many Japanese people around, but the large theater was packed with an audience, which made me realize how popular it is.

50周年記念のキャンペーン料金がお得だったので、スタンダードプランで申し込みました。お料理には期待していませんでしたが、思っていたより種類も多く、量もしっかり用意してあったのでなかなか満足できました。ショーは文句なく感動です。ストーリー性をもった展開で、いろいろな踊りも見られて大迫力でした。ワイキキから少し遠いせいか、日本人の姿はそれほど多くなかったですが、大きな劇場は観客でいっぱいで人気があるのだなと感心しました。

I only attended the evening session, but I think it would be better to go from the afternoon. I believe you can enjoy a full day there. The food was also delicious.

I thought the dynamic dance show was great. However, since photography was not allowed and there was no alcohol (beer was okay, but...), it felt pretty ordinary.

ダイナミックなダンスショーで良かったと思います。但し、写真が撮れない・お酒(ビールでOKでしたが.....)が無しなので普通にしました。

It was my first experience. Since I stayed in North Shore, I went there on my own, but the show was fully booked. The story was easy to understand, and the dancing was wonderful. Being in the front row was very impressive. The ribs from the meal were delicious as well. The price was a bit high, though.

The dance show was absolutely wonderful. Before the show, we had a buffet meal at a large dining hall and did some shopping at the stores in the park. After buying some Hawaiian-themed children's clothing, we headed to the show venue. Our seats were in the back, but we could see everything well and were impressed by the elaborate performances and the fire dancing. However, finding the car on the way back was difficult because the location was different from the initial explanation, and we couldn't find it in the light rain. We had to communicate the number to other drivers to get help.

ダンスショーはとても素晴らしかったです。ショーの前に大きな食堂でバイキング料理を食べて
パーク内のお店でショッピングをしました。ハワイらしい子ども服を買ってからショーの場所に行きました。席は後方でしたが、全体が良く見えて凝った演出や火の踊りに感激しました。
ただ、帰りの車は最初の説明と場所が異なり小雨の中見つからず大変でした。他のドライバーに番号を伝えて教えてもらいました。

You can enjoy shows and cultural experiences on the vast grounds. The fire dance at night is worth seeing. The guide is enthusiastic and leaves a good impression. The buffet food is just okay.

I participated in a tour that included meals. The food was a buffet with plenty of options like salads, fruits, and desserts—everything was delicious. However, the taste of the dishes was local cuisine? I didn't think it was that great (laughs). It's worth going, so I recommend it.

食事付きのツアーを参加しました。食事はバイキング、サラダ、果物、デザートなどたくさん〜美味しいです。ただし、料理の味は郷土料理？あまり美味しいと思わない(笑)。行く価値があるので、おすすめします。

I was told by an acquaintance that I should definitely go, but after reading the reviews, I found mixed opinions. I was unsure which group to choose, but I went with All Day Deluxe. A student studying at a nearby university guided us brightly and very kindly! It seems that most of the people working at the facility, including those who perform in the shows, are students, but everyone was really cheerful, energetic, and friendly! By choosing the afternoon plan, I was able to see various shows, and they were all incredibly fun! There are various opinions about the food, but I found it delicious! Those who signed up for Deluxe before the evening show were able to see behind the scenes, and I felt a level of professionalism that was hard to believe they were students!

The seating is arranged so that everyone can see from any spot. It seems that it rarely gets fully booked. Although I chose Deluxe, I made the reservation just two days in advance, so I ended up sitting towards the back. I recommend making an early reservation! Even for Standard, if you book early, you should be able to get a seat towards the front, which would make it easier to see!

Indeed, the price is somewhat high, but I heard that the money we pay goes towards scholarships for the working students, and since the afternoon shows are enjoyable, I recommend the afternoon plan for those who are going in the future!

知り合いから是非行ったほうがいいと言われていたのですが、口コミを読むと賛否両論。
どのグループにするか悩みましたがオールデイデラックスに。近くの大学で勉強してる子が明るくそしてとても親切にガイドをしてくれました！ショーに出る子達も含めて施設で働いてる人のほとんどが学生さんらしいのですが、皆さん本当に明るくて元気で親切でした!昼からのプランにすると色々なショーも見れるのですが、どれも凄くたのしかったです!ご飯も色々書かれていますが私には美味しく感じました！夜のショーの前にデラックスで申し込んだ人は舞台裏を見せて貰えるのですが、学生さんとは思えないくらいプロ意識を感じました！
席は何処からでも見えるようになってます。満席になることはあまりないそうです。デラックスにしたものの予約したのが2日前でしたのでデラックスの中でも後ろのほうでした。早めの予約をオススメします!スタンダードでも早めに予約すれば、その中でも前の方だと思うので見やすいと思いますよ！
確かに値段はそこそこしますが、私達が支払うお金は働いてる学生さんたちの奨学金として使われるそうですし、昼のショーも楽しいのでこれから行く方には昼からのをオススメします!

The departure was in the evening, but there were more things to see at the destination than I expected. I wish I could have left earlier. This was my first time booking a tour, and I would like to do it again next time. The dance show was fun, and the food was good too. I feel reluctant to leave. However, I look forward to participating again next time!

I received advice from my hula dance teacher that "if you go to Hawaii, you should definitely see this show," so I signed up for a dinner and show tour.

The journey there was quite long, but our guide, Mamoru, provided us with insights about Hawaii, which was very educational.

The show was as impressive as I had expected, and I was overwhelmed by how amazing the male dancers were. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in Hawaiian and Polynesian culture.

フラダンスの先生から「ハワイに行ったら、ここのショーは見ておいたほうが良い」とアドバイスせれていたので、夕食とショーのツアーを申し込みました。
行きはなかなか遠い道のりでしたが、ガイドのマモル君がハワイのガイドもしてくれて、とても勉強になりました。

ショーは期待通りの大迫力で、男性の踊りがこんなにもすごいものなのかと圧倒されました。ハワイやポリネシアの文化に興味をお持ちの方にはオススメです。

It was truly vast, and I was able to see various dance shows. It was far, but I'm glad I went. Last time I came, I only focused on shopping, and when I returned, I had nothing left but things. However, participating in the optional activities here allowed me to create good memories. I had a great time!

本当に広大で、かついろいろなダンスショーが見れて、遠かったけど行ってよかったです。前回来たときは買物ばかりで、帰ってから物以外何も残らなかったけど、こちらのオプショナルに参加して良い思い出が出来ました。楽しかったです！

It had been 24 years since my honeymoon when I visited the Polynesian Cultural Center again, and both the buildings and the show content had changed remarkably. My wife and I were very satisfied with our experience. We want to go again.

I was looking for an optional tour that would give me a taste of Hawaii, and I came across this one. A very kind guide came to pick us up, which made me feel at ease. I was impressed by the size of the facility and the number of stalls. I got to enjoy the pineapple ice cream at the Dole Plantation and bought a mumu as a souvenir, which made me very happy. The buffet-style meal was filled with many local dishes, and it was delicious—I even went back for seconds. The show was packed with a lot of spectators, which was overwhelming. I think it's a very popular tour. The traditional Polynesian elements were expressed in a story that was easy to understand, and I was moved by the content. The fire performances were very exciting and fun. I think I would have missed out on this experience if I hadn't participated in this tour, so I'm really glad I did. I believe everyone will enjoy it, so I highly recommend it to anyone planning to go to Hawaii!

何かハワイらしいものを感じられるオプショナルツアーを探していたところ、このオプショナルツアーにたどり着きました。とても親切なガイドさんが送迎にきてくださり、安心していけました。施設の広さや露店の多さに感動しました。ドールプランテーションのパインアイスを食べることができ、お土産のムームーも買えて大満足です。ビュッフェスタイルのお料理はたくさんの地元料理にあふれ、大変おいしくおかわりもしました。ショーでは、たくさんの観客にあふれ圧倒されました。大変人気なツアーなのだと思います。ポリネシアンの伝統的なものがストーリーになってわかりやすく表現されており、内容も感動しました。火を使ったパフォーマンスがとてもエクサイティングで楽しかったです。このツアーがなければこういうのがあるとは知らずに行けなかったので参加できてすごくよかったと思います。絶対楽しめると思いますので、これからハワイに行かれる方には是非おすすめしたいです。

This is a tour that includes a dinner buffet and an evening show only. A guided bus picked us up from the hotel. The guide is a Japanese exchange student who has been living in Hawaii for three years. The facility is located near the North Shore of Oahu, about an hour's drive from Waikiki. The guide was very passionate, sharing the history of the facility, experiences of life in Hawaii, and interesting facts about Hawaii during the ride, keeping the atmosphere lively with laughter.

According to the guide, the facility was created to support students, and the profits go towards scholarships and the salaries of student guides. I thought it would be great if there were similar facilities in Japan.

Before the show, we had the dinner buffet. The food was not bad, but the variety was limited, and it might be better not to have high expectations for the taste.

After the meal, at 7:30 PM, the largest evening show in Hawaii takes place in a theater that can accommodate 2,000 people. With over 100 performers on a grand stage, I was overwhelmed by the powerful performance that included Polynesian music, dance, and even fire, depicting the life of the main character.

Advice:
- During the day, there is a tour with the student guide that takes you around six villages within the facility, offering various interactive experiences. Therefore, I recommend participating in a full-day tour rather than just the night tour.
- If you want to see the evening show up close, I recommend opting for the deluxe package instead of the standard one. Also, it’s a good idea to read the brochure about the show’s synopsis before it starts to understand it better.
- Photography is not allowed during the evening show.
- There are no restrooms within the dinner buffet facility.
- After the evening show, the restrooms within the facility can get very crowded, so you can also use the restrooms at a nearby restaurant close to the bus stop outside the facility.
- The facility is closed on Sundays due to the religious practices of the Mormon Church.

ディナービュッフェとイブニングショーのみのツアーです。ホテルまでガイド付きバスが迎えに来てくれました。ガイドさんはハワイ在住3年目の日本人留学生です。施設はオアフ島の北、ノースショアに近いところにあり、ワイキキから車で1時間くらいかかります。ガイドさんはとても情熱的で、目的地着くまで、施設の歴史を教えてくれたり、ハワイの生活体験や面白いハワイ事情などを話してくれたりして、車内の笑う声が絶えませんでした。
ガイドさんの話によりますと、施設は学生支援の目的で作られ、収益は奨学金や学生ガイドさんの給料に当たるそうです。日本でもこのような施設があったらいいなと思いました。
ショーの前にディナービュッフェです。食事は悪くはないですが、種類が少なく味もあまり期待しない方が良いかもしれません。
食事の後、夜7時半から2000人も入れる劇場でハワイ最大級のイブニングショーが行われます。出演者が100名超の大きなステージで、主人公の生涯をポリネシアン音楽やダンス、更に炎も加えて大きな迫力に圧倒されました。
アドバイス
・日中は、学生ガイドさんと園内6つの村を巡るツアーがあり、色々な参加型体験が出来ますので、ナイトのみではなく、1日ツアーのご参加をお勧めします。
・イブニングショーを近くてみたいなら、スタンダードではなくデラックス以上の参加をお勧めします。また、ショーのあらすじは開演前にパンフレットを読まれ理解しておくとよいです。
・イブニングショー公演中の撮影はできません。
・ディナービュッフェ施設内にお手洗いはありません。
・イブニングショー終了後、園内のお手洗いは大変混み合いますので、園外バス停留所の近くにあるレストランのお手洗いを利用することもできます。
・モルモン教の宗教上、日曜日は休園です。

On December 31st, my daughter and I participated in an evening tour. We were told that it usually takes 90 minutes to get to the Polynesian Cultural Center from Waikiki, but due to New Year's Eve, there was little traffic, and we arrived in less than an hour. Along the way, thanks to our energetic and knowledgeable guide, we gained some background knowledge about Hawaii's trees, mountains, and history, which allowed us to enjoy the content of the subsequent show.

We arrived before 6:00 PM and received our tickets from the guide in front of the restaurant before parting ways. (The buffet meal ticket and the ticket for the show starting at 7:30 PM were combined, and the staff at the restaurant entrance separated the meal ticket for us.) Since it was a standard buffet, I didn't have high expectations for the food, but aside from the main menu, there was a rich selection of salads, fruits, and desserts. It was great that we could freely drink juice and coffee. As someone who loves vegetables, I found it to be a decent level compared to a $55 per person buffet at a certain hotel (excluding drinks).

The seating arrangement in the show venue was fan-shaped, making it easy to see from any seat. The fire dance was quite impressive. Although I couldn't understand the lyrics of the songs, there was an English narration, so I got the general story, and it was a wonderful show where I could experience family love and the breath of life that flows through Hawaii.

12/31に娘と二人で夕方出発のツアーに参加しました。ポリネシア文化センターまでワイキキから通常90分かかると言われたが、大晦日の為車が少なく、一時間もしないうちに着きました。途中、元気且つ知識豊富のガイドさんのお蔭で、ハワイの木や山、そして歴史についての予備知識を備えることができ、その後のショーの内容を楽しむことができました。
18：00前に到着してレストランの前にガイドさんからチケットを受け取って解散。（ブッフェ食事券と19：30から開演するショーのチケットが一枚となっていて、レストラン入口にいる職員の方が食事券を切り離してくれる。）スタンダードの為食事の内容をあまり期待していなかったが、メインメニューを除き、サラダ、果物やデザートなどのサイトメニューは豊富でした。ジュースやコーヒーも自由に飲めてよかったです。野菜好きな私にとって後日某ホテルで５５ドル/人（水以外別オーダー）のブッフェに比べても悪くないレベルです。
ショーの会場座席配置は扇型でどの席からも見やすいです。ファイヤーダンスは結構迫力ありました。歌の内容は理解できなかったが英語のナレーションがあったので大体のストーリーが分かり、家族愛とハワイに流れるbreath of life生命の息を体感できる素晴らしいショーでした。
