This was my second time.
The pick-up bus was about 10 minutes late, and the vehicle was small and cramped. The guide made excuses, saying, "There was an accident..." but the driving was rough until we arrived at Polynesian, and the guide (driver) seemed to get lost, which made me very anxious.
After arriving at the site, the guide walked ahead quickly, gave a brief explanation, and then dispersed us. It was really a haphazard tour.
The show was good, but I was dissatisfied because I couldn't explore any other areas at all...
We also visited a nearby building that made no sense for free... (I don't really understand the connection...)
It would be great if we could explore other areas in the afternoon as well.
Anyway, I thought the show was better than last time!

お迎えのバス(小)が約10分遅刻。且つ車は小さくて狭い。「アクシデントがあったので…」とガイドは言い訳をしていたが、ポリネシアンに着くまで運転は荒く、道を間違えるようなガイド(運転手)だったので、非常に不安でした。
現地到着後もガイドは一人でどんどん歩いていき、さっさっと説明し解散。本当に雑な案内でした。
ショーは良かったのですが、それ以外のエリアの見学が全く出来ず不満です…

The experience was awesome! We got to learn and experience a lot of what the native Polynesian cultures were like. Many of the staff are actually university students who help fund most of their education through working here so that is nice to know.

The Buffet was the biggest Buffet hall and selection that I have ever seen- there was live music too and it was all just beautiful. The food was really good too!

The Fire Dance show was just an amazing performance. All the people responsible for making this were so skilled. It looked like everyone was having a great time.

It was a lot of fun to return to my childhood and try various things after a long time. The shops outside had many different items compared to Waikiki, and shopping was enjoyable as well. I want to go again!

I visited over ten years ago, but this time my friend wanted to go, so I accompanied them. Previously, it was a one-day tour, so we could experience various activities, but this time we chose a course that only included a meal and a show, which meant there were some things we couldn't do and places we couldn't enter, making it a bit disappointing. However, the meal was a buffet with a variety of options, so I was even unsure about what to eat.

The show was incredible, far surpassing what I had experienced before, with amazing sound and visuals. The performers' passionate dancing made me truly glad I came. I thought that even though the price was a bit high, I would definitely want my friends who didn't participate this time to go next time.

以前は1日ツアーだったので，色々と体験ま，出来たのですが、今回は食事とショーのみのコースを選んだので、出来ない事、入れ無い所も有り少し残念でしたが、食事は数々の種類からビュッフェ形式で選べるので，どれを食べるか？迷う程でした。
ショーは、以前とは比べ物に成らない程、音響，映像等も素晴らしく、出演者の方々の一生懸命なダンスに本当に来て良かった。と心から思いました。
料金的に少し高いと参加しなかった友人達にも是非次回は行って欲しいと思いました。

The best thing we did in Hawaii

Anyone who plans to visit Hawaii must see the show- Breath of life. It’s one hr thirty minutes long but it’s worth every minute of it.

The Gateaway buffet has plenty of dishes to offer and we had like 2:30hr to savor the food. My favorite was Tuna Sashimi, cut fresh from a fish on display. Every station has four different varieties of dish.

The villages are fantastic. Each one is unique in terms of activities and entertainment. Staff were mainly Uni students.

I have 5 star rating to PCC.

I participated alone. This show is spectacular and definitely worth attending. We gathered near hotels in Waikiki and took a large bus to the Polynesian Cultural Center, which took about an hour. The meal before the show had a wide variety and was good, but I thought the portion of steak was a bit small. I reserved seats quite close to the stage, and many performers showcased traditional dances one after another, energizing the venue. The fire dance, in particular, where they weaved through flames multiple times, was moving. The show had plenty of time, and you could feel the performers' dedication. The arrangements for the return bus and the timing until departure were also precise. The price and content are very well balanced.

Amazing and warm welcoming staff on every corner; the performances are top notch, we were entertained to a great FINALE show, Buffet Dinner was overwhelming!

We loved and enjoyed learning a lot of things about the Polynesian culture! All the performances were just by fat the best. I love the activities in each country that you can participate in, hands on and fun too!

My son is a typical “everything boring” esp by the wnd of the day, but as soon as the lights went off for the “HA” show he was mesmerized and totally enjoyed it.

We wanted to experience the LUAU dinner but I think we did not look through good enough with the package we bought. Buffet Dinner was not bad at all…just missed seeing a traditional lu’au

I think it's recommended for those who want to enjoy different cultures, as there are many flavors that are not found in Japan.

Regarding the show, one point of evolution since before COVID is the fire dance. It has significantly evolved from about four performers to a maximum of around ten.

We enjoyed Toa Luau so much! Our children, 2 & 4, had a wonderful time as well. The cast/crew are the same people running the activities before the meal, and serving the meal, then putting on a great show - their hard work and enthusiasm is inspiring <3 I noticed their attention to detail in how smoothly the check-in, meal, and all the transitions went. Highly recommend!

There was so much to see and do. We thoroughly enjoyed the demonstrations and musical presentations. We learned how to make poi, husk coconuts, and weave palm fronds, among other things. The dinner buffet was the best ever, with so much variety in the wide range of menu items. The theater presentation “The Breath of Life” was outstanding! Kudos to all the young university students who work so hard to provide such a unique cultural experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming. This was our second visit (previous one was in 1986) and we were not disappointed. We would return again in a heartbeat!

My friend really enjoyed it, so we decided to join the tour with transportation included. Since my friend came before the pandemic, it seems that some things have changed. We spoke with a guide who was wearing a badge from Japan and got an explanation, and we toured the center with the guided option. Thanks to the guide's arrangements, we were able to see almost everything in the park, and it was a fulfilling day. My friend said it was even better than the last time they visited, and we were able to have various experiences!

This is a must do excursion with family when visiting Oahu. A full day of cultural background, canoe rides to island, interactive activities for everyone. Friendly staff. It's not enough time for us to see all the areas, so definitely will come back again next time. Highly recommend!

Glorious Day!

The reservations are easy - and complete. I was still recuperating from a surgery, so we secured a mobility cart, which is right at the entrance to the Polynesian Cultural Center. The bus picks up from several points in Waikiki; it is comfortable and also waiting right at the entrance-exit after the show is over. The day is extraordinary - the staff is so friendly and helpful, as we asked questions at the various Islands. There is a river cruise you can take - the Center is 40 square miles (think Disneyland) so prepare your walking shoes and attire accordingly. Terrific shopping before the Center actually opens. Take a poncho, because there is a lot of rain on that side of the island - rains quickly, dries quickly.

The buffet is amazing and delicious, and a real bargain if you're feeding starving teens! The show is exquisite. They help park the mobility cart everywhere, so if you have mobility issues - worry not!

On March 15th, 2024, I went to PCC and participated in the Gateway Buffet package. This experience included admission to the park, buffet, and show. Each village was unique, and educational. The canoe ride was my favorite part of the park, a must do!

The buffet dinner was INCREDIBLE, they had everything you could imagine. From salad, sides, pork, chicken, beef, seafood, and dessert. The presentation of the food, and dinning hall felt like something out of a movie! They really set the scene for local cuisine.

'HA: Breath of Life,' show was spectacular a must see! The dancers were truly amazing! I would definitely go see it again and again. Everything about PCC was so professional, engaging, fun, and educational. There is something for the whole family.

I would recommend PCC to anyone who enjoys learning about different cultures, and has a full day to spend away from Waikiki.

This was a full day activity. We stared on the canoe amd ended the one end. Walked to each village. At each village they are very informative on their culture. They have activities you can participate in or just watch their 15-20 min skits. The journey movies was quite amazing but moves a lot, but worth it. The buffet was absolutely the best I've ever been to! So much food to choose from. Plus there was live entertainment. We also stayed for the breath of life show, which was spectacular. Goosebumps for sure.

The evening show was not a typical Hawaiian luau; it had a storyline that felt reminiscent of a performance by the Shiki Theatre Company in Japan. Compared to traditional ones, it had a stronger entertainment flair, but it was very enjoyable with a nice balance of laughter and emotion.
